Bao Chiu's Story

Bao Chiu had just gotten new clothes, her plane landed maybe 4 hours prior to this exact moment. Nobody had exactly known she was royalty until she told them, no one believed her anyway! She hushed to herself in Chinese, "Ugh, people here in Wing City are so mean! How could my mother send me here to do this list?" She pulled a list out of her small shirt pocket and glanced down at it, furrowing her dark brown brows and pouting her beautifully structured lips. "It's useless for me to know all of these things, and what is this..?" She glanced down more clearly at the note and gasped, putting a hand to her lips as she almost felt backwards. She had to.. Work?! And have kids and a husband?! This was torture, pure and utter torture. She was practically crying and a pale hand caught up into her bangs upon her forehead, "Oh Bao, why did you agree to this?" Bao leaned up, clearing her throat as she thought of the English she must now use from so on from this point in time, just to get around really. Letting her hands drop she fluffed out her tiered skirt and fixed her school girl esc shirt with a nice tie, a good wardrobe for a nice new life style. She looked over to a door and gave a small smirk, was this the nitorious Gambit's Bar her mother was cooing over? It might as well be, it matched her mother's description perfectly and she walked over with perfect posture and sucked in a big breath, puffing out her small chest and pushing through the heavy door. Finally she was through, strenous work for such a small and lazy girl! Though she never did have to work, being the Princess of China and all. Bao looked around, smelling the putrid alcohol in the air and she sighed to herself in English this time, "I suppose they won't have my favorite foods here." She only liked the best of the best, no worse. She slumbered over to a booth and plopped down, enjoying the time off of her feet.

Bao Chiu looked over at the floating blue short.. Person...? Thing? She couldn't exactly tell what it was, but to her this little thing was very amusing. She clapped a little and laughed a hearty laugh that only people who act could put on, which she really was doing actually. But she was amused, happy even, and finally she spoke up with a very thick Chinese accent, "I'm Bao Chiu, Princess of China. You are a wizard?" She made a motion like a witch stirring a pot of something nasty and she stared at the small blue thing, floating in front of her honey-colored eyes. Her lips curled and shrivelled into a true smile as she looked at him.

Bao Chiu looked a tad bit frightened when the little lights bursted but she quickly clapped and laughed, she closed her eyes while smiling, "Do you.." She had to think of her English for a second, her eyes opening normally and her mouth turning into a pout more than a smile and she thought harder. "Do you.. Oh! Do you know any other jokes?" She had mixed up jokes and tricks, but she really did want to speak English fluently, she could speach Chinese just perfecrly but English seemed to get more and more difficult with each one. Just in case if the little blue wizard didn't understand she did the movement of a trick, a magic trick to be exact. Bao smiled at the creature, thinking about how she wanted to keep it at the place she was going to be residing in which was about a fourth of a mile down the street; this wizard was just too cute, she couldn't bare it. But she dare not touch it, for all she knew this wizard could trick her into death or something even worse!!

Bao Chiu [color=purple]looked around at the new place she was supposed to stay, it was a hotel in a place called "Gambits". With a heaving sigh she glanced out the window, golden eyes meeting her own reflection as she walked closer toward the glass. Her wooden clogs making a distinct sound as she fought with her sleeves for a small moment, becoming frustrated with how many layers she had in her kimono. As she had recently learned kimonos, especially this one, were normally Japanese so it was still a mystery why someone as important as a Chinese princess wear something Japanese.
With a pondering thought she pouted her lip and touched her cheek, she was alone. No servants, no one to take care of her, she was helpless. "How dare that wretched old women send me here to this town, and for such unjust reason!!" She spoke with a precise cut in her voice as she slammed her fist to the window sill, becoming infatuated with anger.
With a petty head turn she looked toward a silk covered suitcase on her bed, holding some clothes but mostly Wing City esc currency and a list of things to do while she was here. With a quickened pace she opened the suitcase, filing through the bags and bags of currency she finally found a small package with a maroon colored stamp on it, the list was folded up quite tightly within.
Bao sighed, furrowing her brown and sucking in her lower lip trying not to cry as she opened it up glancing up and down at the note becoming appalled by the things her mother wanted her to do, wrapping it back up with speed she looked in the mirror, making sure all of her make up had not smudged and that she wasn't crying. It was time to make an entrance, to meet new people. She grabbed a small bag of money, filled with gold pieces, and she opened and locked the hotel room's door. She walked a steady pace down the hall, down the stairs, and there was one last door to open before she had to meet face to face with people. Breathing in and out slowly she turned the knob and pe

Bao Chiu peeked through the crack in the door, she clacked through the bar and found a seat to her liking and sat down in it, feeling as if she were about to cry once again.

Bao Chiu had ran upstairs back into her hotel room for the night prior, everything was just too much for this new girl to Wing City. She simply laid in bed all night, wondering why her mother even sent her to this place... The princess of China, in a place like Wing City? How pitiful!!
Suddenly a gain of courage caught her in the morning after a very expensive breakfast, she dressed in her traditional Japanese Kimono that was given to her by her great grandmother, who thought it to be ironic that a girl from China wear something Japanese without telling her. Bao put up her hair delicately into a bun, and placed a flower intertwined with her chocolate brown locks. Slipping on her wooden sandals which gave her a small boost, she began walking down the stairs with a quiet leap in her chest as her heart pumped with nervousness. She peeked out from the staircase into the bar, noticing only one or two residences and she felt calmer. Stepping into the bar she walked over to a stool, calmly sitting down and crossing her ankles and letting her knee caps touch. She simply waited for more patrons to also gain confidence and courage to come up to the bar and join into the mix of others.

Bao Chiu stares at Orko with large bold golden eyes, a small smile on her face, "Oh my, you're the one who made so many jokes last time... I am afraid and careless, I haven't an idea who anybody are." She was messing up her english horribly today, chopping it up and hoping it would work. She looked at Orko with saddened eyes and a pouted lip, "How about you, dear joke-maker?"

Bao Chiu cocked her head to the side, making a lock of her hair spill from her bun and her flower become somewhat loose. She thought for a moment, trying to conform what he was saying to her own language, stammering out finally as she brought her head back up slowly, "Buffoon? Like a fool? And... Hunger? I suppose that my stomach is parched." She held a hand to her stomach, feeling it rumble a little. She thought in wonderment what this Orko man could do for her.

Bao Chiu had a dreamy look to her eyes as she stared down at the waffles, "What are these? I have not seen these with my eyes quite yet in my life." She picked up her fork and began delicately chopping off a small piece of one, "I remember when people thought our temple was a castle, but it was sacred... To the Chinese, our family, the Chiu's. Is this castle as terrific as you thought it to be?" She took a bit of the waffle and looked a bit perplexed.

Bao Chiu glanced over at Orko, "Wa...Waffles?" She sputtered out the word like it was something disgusting, she then placed the bite into her mouth and tasted it, looking a bit more confused than before. "They are so warm, yet people simply eat them like this?" She then noticed the syrup he poured onto his own plate, she picked it up and dipped her elegant finger inside and placed it in her mouth, closing her eyes and smiling, "This liquid is delicious, but shouldn't we drink it or do we have it on food? Is it flavored bee-honey?" She shook a little from the after taste but looked happy in the least. She then looked at Orko with a saddened face, tears welling up inside of her golden eyes, "Do you not find life in a castle or temple happy?" She remembered her own home and became something of a yearning in her eyes as she gazed up at a clock above the bartender's head.

Bao Chiu nodded and spoke once again, looking confused and then copying Orko while she put syrup on her waffles and she took another bite looking a little displeased, "The sweetness has gone away and has made the waffle too wet, would you like to eat?" She gestured the plate toward him as she stroked her throat trying to make herself swallow the food. "Family...? Then why not ask if you family could stay? Or they could always stay with me in my room... I wouldn't mind."

Bao Chiu giggles a little as her cheeks flush, "Oh yes, I forgot about that... Forgot we were in Wing City for a moment. I thought we were back home. But the opportunity still stands, I live in this hotel you do know this correct?" she looked confused, wondering about all of this magic when she noticed Count Dimitri Lavashenkov sit a couple stools away from her and she stared at him, with watery golden eyes, "What were you doing that in women's restroom?"

Bao Chiu chuckled softly, covering her mouth while looking at Orko, "You know of my list? But how? You must be a master at this... Magic. Or was it jokes?" She whipped her head around back at Count Dimitri, "Wrong person...? But I had... I just-" She looked angry with herself, looking very perplexed with her thoughts.

Bao Chiu nodded and smiled, tugging out her list from one of her kimono sleeves and handing it to Orko, "Choose which one you'd like to help me fulfill." she smiled and waited for Orko to choose on and she looked back over at the Count, and looked down at his drink, wondering what it was.

Bao Chiu nodded her head smiling but then looked at him with a confused look, "But what is... American food? Do Americans only eat waffles?"

Bao Chiu looked even more dumbfounded as she cocked her head to an opposite side and she shook her head no, "No, apple pie has never grazed my tongue." She furrowed her brown and suddenly whipped her head around to see Dr. Ivan Rasputin and fear struck her heart, placing a hand to her chest making sure she still had a beat going and she frowned, gaining more tears in her eyes, "Are you a monster?"

Bao Chiu looked back at Orko with a scared expression, tears rolling down her cheeks, she used her long sleeves to wipe away the liquid from her eyes and she looked at Orko, then back at Dr. Ivan Rasputin once again, she spoke once again to him, "A traveler? Then why is he in such a bizarre suit?"
Suddenly he spoke, she raised her shoulders in a matter of fear, "So you are a monster? Do you hurt others or are you a calmed monster with a peaceful thought?" She still looked scared, as if she might die, and she became saddened once again with more tears rolling down her cheek.

Bao Chiu wrapped an arm around herself, becoming chilled and she looked at Orko once again, letting the tears spill as she pleased and her bottom lip quivered slightly, she gave him a squeeze herself notifying him that she would trust him. She nodded and whispered back, "Please do if there is any trouble."

Bao Chiu leaned back in her seat with fear shutting down any other emotion, her back against the bar as she stared at Dr. Ivan Rasputin, hearing his growls reminded her of the time she was once in danger, a dog attacking her when she was small and sneaked out of the temple. She slowly leaned forward, until she was sitting up straight and squeezed Orko's hand as she spoke, "If this drug that keeps you calm isn't working that means you have evil wants. You are going to hurt the both of us aren't you?!" She barked out her words, gritting her teeth and looking angrier than ever; all of her emotions pouring out at once.

Bao Chiu let out an ear splitting scream, tears rolling down her face as she fell off her seat, staggering up and beginning to run, screaming once again, "Don't you dare touch me you monster!! Demon!!" she let out one last scream before ducking under a table in the back.
