Bart Allen's Story

Outside one of casinos in a nearby alley a loud crash could be heard, followed by a blindingly bright light and smoke billowing up into the night. Once the smoke began to dissipate, it became obvious what had caused the loud noise. There, in the middle of the alley lay a oval metal pod. From the outside there was no hint as to what it was since there were no writing or anything noticeable markings on it. Then, without warning the pod opened up to reveal small figure inside.

For time Tara had just wandered, trying to find a place to call home. A place where no one judged her because of what she did and instead believed her words when she pleaded how she wished to change... No one to accuse her of being a traitor or attack her for how she betrayed everyone. They did not know, they could never know just how seductive Slade's manipulations had been. His promises while in retrospect obvious to his goals were not obvious at the times. The Titan's had given her friends, people she could trust. And yet foolishly she had thrown it all in their face because, in the end, Tara was lonely, she had been lonely since having to leave her Kingdom.

Friends were one thing, but a Father Figure even if he did abuse her. And abuse her he did. Violently with cruel vindictiveness. Yet there was a time he had felt like a genuine father, how he praised her loyalty and even seemed to show a side of himself that rarely was seen. Was it all a trick? To this day she couldn't answer that, all she knew in the end, he pushed her too hard and when it came time to kill a friend... She could not. He had flown into a rage and controlled her with this suit, but somehow she had broken free and in anger, she had knocked him into burning magma. Though she had killed many before him, that was most satisfying.

Of course, then came the real issue the underground was unstable and it came to her to save everyone. That's what she did, that's what she always did in the end...

Knowing she would die, knowing that this was the end...

Until it was not until it was a beginning.

Born once again in a city that despised her, abused her and called her names. At first, she had no memories, but gradually they came back. Vividly, aggressively burrowing into her consciousness. The agony akin to millions of year anguish. Each face, each person she had brutally murdered because she wanted to fit in, she wanted a family. If guilt was a twisted form of torture, this was malevolent in how it surfaced in her mind. Like maggots festering in her dreams, squirming and wriggling. The guilt, the utter pain and realisation of one's crime ten fold...

Those were dark times, terrifying times, but she had decided she needed to leave Jump City and find somewhere to call her home.

That is what brought her to Van Leugen on that day, just walking through, as soon as she heard the crash she ran over prepared to fight if need be. Her mind assuming something dark and evil. Instead, she came across the crater and indentation, presenting a large, human sized pod just pried deeply into the earth. The impact had scattered or blown cars forcefully to smash and grind into one another, making a metallic mechanical mess of wheels and twisted metal.

Prepared, her eyes lit up with yellow glow. Defiantly standing.

Waving away the smoke, a brown haired boy in a red and white suit jumped out of the pod and looked around in curiosity. It had appeared that the time machine had landed in an alley and caused a little damage. He looked around for a few seconds before he furrowed his eye brows in frustration. This was not the era he had been searching for. In fact, it looked almost similar to what his history books had shown. Shaking his head in disbelief he turned towards the machine and kicked it angrily.

"This is so not crash! I have to start all over with this hunk of junk,"

Still somewhat uncertain she kept her battle stance prepared but nonetheless blinked quizzically as a figure shorter than herself stepped out clad in a red and white jumpsuit. He had not seemed to register her presence at all if anything he appeared far more annoyed about the pod. Not being one to hold back her view, she coughed loudly before speaking, "Well you are definitely not a villain because you seem more interested in your pod than anyone, including, myself." relaxing she walked over, "Welcome to Van Leugen, I am Tara." reaching out her hand she beamed.

There was an almost boyish charm in her blue eyes and tomboyish looks, she wore a black t-shirt, had blond hair that careened down her shoulders, and a truly infectious smile. She wore beige shorts and seemed to have a lithe figure about herself. At a guess, she was in her teens, late. On her hands were a thick pair of black gloves. Being that Bart was from the future, he may recognize her because of her infamy and be surprised that she is actually alive.
