Basil Irving smiled to himself as he swung open the doors of Gambits. Today was a tiresome day of running packages across the meadows, and it was about time this creature had a good drink. Aside from his horns, ears, and rather err.... beastly lower half, the tame satyr could almost pass for human to most people. His hooves creaking the wooden floor, the satyr hummed a small tune to himself as he sat down in a vacant seat, waiting to be served.

Stretching his limbs, Basil glanced around the room casually. He felt uneasy as he saw that quite a few patrons around the bar were human, or at least looked human to the saytr's tired eyes. A troublesome species, always gawking at or thinking of others species as a "lower kind". Feeling a bit self-conscious about himself, the creature ducked lower into his seat as his order came in.

Basil Irving suddenly frowned at the woman's rather harsh comment. "Eh, I haven't even spoken my name, Lass. Don't go pullin' that mental shit on me, will ya?" The saytr sighed at the strange humans, turning his attention back to something more important: The Alcohol. "Hey, Laddie! I need a refill already. I swear I have the change fer an extra drink." Basil called over to the bartender in a rather jovial mood. This wasn't time to mope, it was time to drink!

Basil Irving frowned at the crowd today. It seemed as if he was already in the middle of a hangover. No wonder why he hated humans so much. "Ay, Lad. Do humans always act like this? It's rather sad, really...." He sighed to himself. " 'Course this stuff only happens after I get a break from deliverin' mail. Just my luck." Basil leaned back in his barstool, placing his hooves on the counter as he tried to drown his sorrows.
