a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Knosis

Description

Name: Cinder
Age:376
Race: Demon
Power: Flame control

History:
Cinder showed up into the multiverse as there was a mission for her to undertake from the organization. Her mission was to take out or recruit the man named Tallon, in which many battles ensued. Even though it was unintentional, she began to make friends within the city and began to open up to them showing them the side of her that wished anything to be free of the clutches of the organization. With some help, she was finally able to do so.

However, the story of Cinder has only just begun. As soon as she escaped the clutches of the organization, she began to discover more of who she was, and why she was created. Losing herself into the madness of understanding she was part of a bigger plot than she realize, there were times she would black out and end up in a different location altogether. Pain and misfortune tended to follow her after these black outs. At the same time, she met Drakuus Flavaar, who at the time was suffering between a relationship of his own. It didn't take long to figure out this much more aggressive nature was definitely not that of the usually calm Cinder.

She discovered that her blackouts were caused by a second soul within her that had awakened, that she named Kenna. They were created together by the Fallen in order to bring about the end of the world.

As long as Kenna was locked away in her prison, everything would be fine.. Right? Wrong. With their creator hot on their trails, the Fallen one knew exactly who was suppose to still be loyal to him and freed Kenna from the prison, allowing her to start to grow her powers, her lust for destruction strong. Cinder, on the other hand, continued to have problems with possession after her birthday. Cinder had always thought it would be just a battle between her sister Kenna and herself for the rest of time, and was quite surprised to find out there was another soul upon her body.. Her other sister, Amber. However, Amber could not be extracted like Kenna had been, due to the fact she would have been killed and sent to hell. She was the key to the world's judgment, and Hell would do anything to get its hands on her.

In order for her to be freed, Cinder had to take upon an angel's request. She had to die in order to let Amber live, but in return, she would reborn, the angel promised.

By this point, Cinder was already leader of the Demon's of Northok and was engaged to Drakus Flavaar.

One day, Kenna and Cinder got into the ultimate battle and Cinder made a mistake, letting her sister's taunting get the better of her judgment and was killed off by Kenna, Kenna also being killed off by Bowpurity. Cinder was taken by the Angel, Kenna taken to hell, and through the old body Amber was born from Cinder's body.

Upon returning, Cinder had gotten a few changes by the angels, including wings as she was given angelic powers, making her into an Arch Angel/arch demon. But to her much distress, found that her sister Kenna had also been 'upgraded' into the reaper.

Though many battles between Kenna and Cinder had taken place, they finally came to terms when the Fallen himself began to attack them both in order to try to destroy them both, making a war between angels and demons.

Then Cinder became an General of the angelic forces, her sister Kenna had been helping with the angels as well. She spends her days constantly battling herself and her sister as always, waiting for the day her and Drakus will begin their family..

She was captured by the enemy forces, and seeing that they had no more use for her, the Angelic forces stripped Cinder of her powers and tossed her back into the Multiverse. She has since discovered her two short years away were many years back home and her son is dead, her husband's left and remarried, and both her sisters are dead and gone as well. Between the stress of the war she was in and the fact she has no one left, she has turned to drinking as her solution more often than not. She is mortal with only a few years left to live.

"There is a question to my sanity if I stop drinking.." She muttered, allowing the man to pull her up. She stumbled into him afterward, however. "I can't stop seeing the things from.. From the war.. I hear things.. I probably have woken you guys up more than once already.. For that I apologize.." She muttered.

"And I can't do this alone.." She finally admitted. It took a drunken stupor to get her to admit she needed help, but the words finally came from her stubborn head.

Cinder blinked as he wrapped her into a hug, and nostalgia swept over her. This was the one place she had ever felt truly safe. Her shoulders relaxed and she leaned her head against his shoulder, letting the tears fall naturally.

She laughed slightly. "You've always been a bastard.." She murmured.

"I can't tell." She answered, pointing to her nose. "Was made mortal, just like the rest of me. I can't even sense if any of the demons of Northok are around. I am completely blind in terms of extra senses I had as nephilim." She murmured. "I don't know how you humans survive, honestly. This sucks." She sighed.

Cinder watched him back away and the smile on her face faded. She lifted the bottle to the man. "Here.." She murmured, trying to keep him there for a bit longer. "Drakus.. Eventually I'll find the courage to leave. But for now.." She swallowed hard.

"I can't. I'm like.. Some lost puppy who was a dragon, left abandoned and starving on the side of the road. I need to learn how to accept things as they are now.. But.." She sighed. "I need you to teach me how to be human."

"Did I ever open up to anyone in the past..?" She asked, rearranging his question. She looked away, more towards the sky once again. "I am lost Drakus.. I guess.. I finally weakened up enough that I need help. Find it hilarious, pitiful or however you see me as you like.. But what else do I do?"

The woman raised an slim eyebrow at the man. "In no way are you going to get me on your shoulders. I may be drunk and a frail little mortal now, but I can still fight you on that." She chuckled slightly.

"It took quite a bit to get me buzzed in the past.. And by quite a bit, I mean half of Gambit's stock.." She said quite confidently, as if she had done it in the past. "Now, I can't even take half a bottle. So no, no I'm not.. But I think its alright." She murmured, reaching for the bottle once again. "I think that's one blessin' in disguise about being what I am now.." She murmured.

Cinder raised a slim eyebrow. Had he laughed like that in the past? It was quite nice. "I am in shape. It might be slightly flabby, but it is a shape." She murmured. "And when have you ever been in a mostly honorable fight? You're the one that mostly takes the 'honor' out." She joked. She pouted when he had not handed her the bottle, however, and pulled out the last bottle she had in her other coat pocket, starting to pull out the cork.

The woman seemed slightly confused by the way the man spoke. "I am sure I can take care of myself when it comes to danger." She stated a bit too confidently for one who had just been stripped of all her power. Hey, fake it until you make it, right?
"If you need help watching your back.. I can try to assist you, but I need to know what from.." She stated softly. The bottle was rather empty when she looked at it next and she released a soft sigh. "And just don't let me stay completely sober..." She muttered under her breath, hoping the man didn't hear her.

"Is that all?" The woman asked, a slight smirk on her face. Her eyes turned dark, a black flame within them. She had noticed the plants dying around them, and that made her slightly uncomfortable, but other than that she remained unwavering.

"If you knew what I've done in the past, you'd pale in comparison." She sighed and shook her head. "Magic users I may have.. Some difficulties with now.." She murmured, raising her hand, a blue flame sparking to life over her skin. "But swordmen and such, they'd be no contest.."

The woman listened intently, grabbing the flames in her hand to extinguish them. She paced along side the beach, every so often her hues catching on to his, although she said nothing. She knew the feeling this man was going through, albeit from a long time ago. A time that had long since passed.

The air was growing more and more intense, the heat not bothering her. It was the one thing she could control left, and she did it with a professional dedication. The flame was her life. Without it, she would parish. "I don't sleep well anymore, as you could.. Understand. War has a tendency to make everyone a bit paranoid." She stated simply.

"I shall accompany you for a time.. But even I have my time limit.." She murmured, turning her eyes towards the water.

The breeze passed by, brushing the hair gently. She looked to the stars that were just beginning to peek through the darkening blanket of the sky. "It does feel like that.." She admitted, although she meant for herself this time. "And it seems you are the only purpose I have right now, my only drive.. If that mission is to keep you alive, then so be it.. But why have just one goal?" She smirked slightly. "I'll clear your name too. You'll be a free man once again one day, Elisand." She sounded confident in that promise. But most people did.

However, most didn't promise to try to break you from crimes against kingdoms.

At his last bit, the smirk faded and she continued to stare at the peeking stars. "I don't deserve salvation." She said simply. "Worry about you." She murmured. "Well, where are we heading hm?"

"It's a lot of work, but hey.. I made a deal now, can't take it back." She murmured, folding her arms across her middle. "Doesn't matter. I'll take on the entire kingdom if I have to, start the riot on my own or make my name blacker than yours. Either way, you'll be safe to start your life over eventually."

At his mention her sacrifice, her eyes darkened yet again. "If you knew what I was before you knew me.. You wouldn't see it that way.." She murmured. "But, I think that may be a story for another day. And I'm running low on rum. So lets get started over into that direction, shall we?"

The tavern was little more than a run down barn. Cinder entered in first, her amber hues gazing about the empty facility with a wary look. She'd never been to this place before, though she'd heard of it back in it's prime.

The place smelled of old booze and sweat.

She moved to an empty table with a sigh, rubbing her bad shoulder. It bothered her when it got cold. "So.. I was thinking.." She murmured quietly. "The guy who framed you is still alive, yes?"

"Hmm.." The woman said, taking the rum gratefully. Being sober was far from fun anymore for the woman. It helped to calm her nerves, and helped to make her think straight. Monsters of her past was still very much real in her own mind. "Yes, well.. He is wanted by the kingdom as well, isn't he not? Or is he being protected?"

She took a long swallow from the pint. "If he's not protected, then he's useless. But you could get him to confess to his crimes if he is protected." She murmured quietly. "Either way, there are alternative ways to try to clear everything.. Just option one, and the easiest.." She sighed.

"I'm a vindictive person either way. So he will get what's coming to him.. Eventually." She murmured. Her eyes shot over to the shadows, as if she had seen something, but quickly passed over it as a trick of the light. She silently groaned and took another swig of the rum.

The woman listened with the utmost care to every detail that the man had described of his past. She had been through similar things. Similar but not quite the same. Her fingers knitted themselves together and she placed the knotted bundle gently beneath her chin, her eyes never leaving him. Quietly, she plotted and planned.

"I never said let him live after giving just a simple confession." She stated finally. "No, if I were in your shoes, I'd get him to talk and then skin him while he's still alive, place him in a vat of alcohol, beat him within every inch of his miserable life and then set him on fire." She confessed calmly, as if she had done said practice before. "Unfortunately, it would never amount to the torture and pain he has inflicted upon you, or your family and colleagues. But it would be a start in the general direction."

She sighed softly and downed a bit more of the rum. "But he is a target for another time. I need more details about your kingdom and your guard. I know you said your bounty keeps getting higher for everyone you have had to slay. From now on, unless it is to defend your own life because I have failed to do so, I shall take on most of the opponents. Unfortunately, I cannot do much against the magic users anymore.." She sighed. "I am barely able to keep a spark, much less any other magical qualities that could protect me against their attacks."

Pulling out an aged map and a piece of chalk, she laid it out upon the table. It was several hundreds of years old, with few corrections made upon it as time had gone by. "Now.. Help me out here.. I have been gone for quite a while.. Mind marking where your kingdom is? And if you see any other places I should know about, please mark them and let me know why.. Simply because I do not know these lands as well as I use to."

To his little outburst she simply shook her head. "I use to be the same." She said honestly. "I use to be.." She repeated.

"Even if it is still old detail, it is better than what I know now." She stated simply, watching him scribble down what he had on his mind. "There is no way we can take on a full force raid all by ourselves, but I doubt they'd send an entire army out for one man." She stated simply. "And I am not planning to hit the kingdom right away. You need training first.." She sighed, rolling up her map once again.

She sighed, estimating what it would take. "In order to get into the Kingdom, we need to sneak in and most likely have ears and eyes on the inside. You are a wanted man, and therefore no one will work with you. I on the other hand, will be a visitor. When the time is right, I'll visit the kingdom." She murmured quietly.

Her amber eyes sparked like the crackling fire behind them. "Until then.. I think I can help you refine your magical skills with the flame. Maybe teach you a few other things you don't know. That is, if you are willing."

The woman took another swig of the rum, letting the liquid burn her throat as it went down to feed the fire within her. Her eyes flashed as they erupted in color, like a flame within her eyes. "Let me worry about how I'm going to get in. I have my ways, m'friend. I may not look it now, but I use to be very good in the field. Sneaking in past a couple of hum-- People won't be more difficult than what I had to sneak past before." She chuckled, quickly correcting herself mid-sentence.

She then nodded as he accepted her offer. "Good. Then we'll start tomorrow as we journey. We cannot stay in one spot. I'll train you in more than just how to control your magic, as you will also need to learn other tactics in how to lose people while on the chase. Especially from mages." She murmured quietly. "I am not as good as I once was." She admitted. "But protecting you is my main priority, and if I am no longer around.. I must teach you how to protect yourself afterward."

"Until then though, I suggest we enjoy ourselves and get to know each other a little better. Nothing can or will be done until morning and I suggest we rest here for the night. Before the sun is up, we will be moving again towards the kingdom you mentioned a while ago. If I can get you that far, then we will find people who can help."
