Cole is a hard living, hard fighting, hard working, former gun fighter turned cop.
He loves a good drink (or several) and you can't pry him from his cigars or his hand rolled, hand made cigarettes.
His other weakness is that of women and cards.
He is often found playing cards and has been fired a few times for hustling.
He takes little serious and can come off a bit abrasive especially to people that don't know his sense of humor.
He is meticulous about his appearance.
And while he does stay calm he has been known to push people into gun fights especially if he knows he has the upper hand.
Cole carries two Silver handled peacemakers on his hips.
A double barrled shotgun across his back and a small derringer pistol strapped to his right ankle.
A cane with a silver wolf's head on it.
Cole had the most normal of childhoods.
He grew up on a plantation in the south.
His parents were cotton farmers and treated those in their employ as though they were family.
In the post war era Cole's parents house was attacked by Union soldiers and this sent Cole on a rampage.
He joined up with a band of Confederate guerillas and went looking for revenge along with blood.
He sure enough found it in a little town that laid on the banks of a river in western Georgia.
They ran into Union soldiers, a large group of soldiers, one of which Cole immediately recognized as the man that fire bombed his parents house.
Instead of fighting them directly Cole and company rode a day ahead of them and set up in the forest along a narrow pass.
When the soldiers arrived Cole and the rest of the soldiers dropped the officers first.
All but the one that Cole was looking for.
The enlisted men fell next and as the bodies of his men laid around him the gun shots stopped.
Cole waited for the man to leave, followed him back to town where he went to call for help.
Cole walked up behind him and pulled his shotgun from his horse.
Immediately he unloaded both barrels into the man's back and rode away.
Even with a town full of witnesses no one claimed to see a thing and Cole was allowed to continue unchecked.
With this first kill at the age of 17, the stage was set for the next 10 years of his life.
He spent 5 fighting with the guerillas until they surrendered and the other five were spent hustling cards or working as a gun fighter.
By the age of 27 he took on his first job as an officer of the law.
He never went to school or was sworn in but he was the fastest with a gun and the bravest about using it and so the job fell on him.
Since then he's been working different towns helping to clean up the streets and has developed quite a reputation for doling out justice.
In all his time working either side of the law he's only ever suffered one serious injury.
He took a bullet in his right leg and while the bullet was removed there are times the injury still ails him.
