The Leopard. A legacy Super Villain trying to meet ends meat.

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Ironman11

Description

Aspiring Career Supervillian, No seriously stop grinning like an idiot.

Reference 1
Reference 2

Curtis is a Caucasian Male standing at a height of 6ā€™-3 Ā½ā€˜ā€™, At first glance he seems nothing more than just another health obsessed meathead that probably puts way too much time on his appearance and not a lot of time on his personality. Muscles, stylized long blonde hair, man capping, pedicures, trending clothes and glasses makes him some strange hipster hybrid that ends up looking less cool and more tool.

Curtis is the father of Malcom Bennett, former Supervillian, former menace to society, former leukemia fighter. His fatherā€™s animal spirit being quite literally thrust upon him in order to save itself; Curtis is now coming to terms with paying an homage to the training heā€™d never wanted, honoring the memory of a father he really didnā€™t know and going into a highly risky, immoral and downright crazy career for reasons he has not fully come to grips yet. At least it blows fashion design out of the water.

At least the tail end of that degree is finally going somewhere other than a fancy way to introduce yourself in becoming a waiter with a lot of loan payments. Curtis has adopted his fatherā€™s legacy mantle: ā€œKing Jaguarā€ with his own twist becoming ā€œThe Leopardā€ wearing a skintight suit of padded body armor patterned in a yellowish red with appropriate spots (We call that orange Curtis). Attached to the suit is a pack for utility, full three quarters mask with mouth slit that shaped into a leopardā€™s head and a pair of armored gloves that take the have long steel retractable blades. He thought about adding a tail, but he just kept stepping on it in test runs.

So begins...

ā€There is my crackerjack gal!ā€ Andrew expressed for the moment as the old woman came over to join him. There was a small light murmur of laughter coming from the crowd, hinting a bit more on sycophancy. The lively old man took a glass of champagne from one of the nearby trays somewhat speaking up to the reception around him. ā€œGood evening to all of you. Get the hell out of here!ā€ Another burst of laughter came from the good time ā€œSeriously! Seriously! On a day like today, I canā€™t help but to feel so momentously blessed with friends, love ones, family and dependable partners over all these years. When I first cameā€¦.ā€

As Curtis got further and further away from the party the speech was becoming fainter and fainter. He continued to act casual keeping the saucer under his arm as he reviewed it all in his head. The speech would bring them all together, the cake would come out, he barge right on the scene, snatch the stones in his costume for the cred and then drop it off back here to store it to pick up in about a month until he picked it up here.

He had not noticed his shadow currently as he crossed a small foot bridge overlooking the more scenic natural elements of the park even at evening. There were fewer people about, stranglers from the party, wayward passerbys, regular park visitors and such. On the otherside was a building that operated as a public shower, taking a gander for a moment Curtis took a moment to pull out a key unlocking the closed door and taking a step into the currently closed function.

Mr. Howe." Arden spoke up after the speech was given. The young man pointed with his cane towards the cake and then towards a small briefcase and a rather lifelike portrait of his wife and himself standing in front of their home. "I present to you this fine painting to add to your collection that you are so fond of. Also a rather hefty benefit of cash to aid in your families care of those poor orphans." The elderly man walked over to Arden and gave him a hug.

"You have done your family proud boy. I am sure that your father and his and so forth would have been here with you to congratulate you on the kindness that you have offered us this day." Mr. Howe spoke only to then turn to his wife and smile at her. Arden left the two and began to walk towards the end of the festivities just to get some fresh air.

Rightā€¦ Get this buckle down, these pants off his damn ankles! This zipper up! This strap inward! This button! Damn it! Why didnā€™t he design this zipper to be better to reach! The large blonde fiddled and struggled to get into costume. The thick leopard print padding somewhat aligning on muscle and build eventually making him look a little bit bigger than he already was. He took a deep breath as he applied on the last touches. You can do this, you can do this, you can do this.

For a moment he just walked out of the isolated building pacing back down the park as he did so. A few people looked up rather confused, thinking he was some sort of street performer or something of the like. The Leopard walked further and further down the public lights for a moment starring intently at the Terrace that was getting closer and closer. As he approached the edge of the Terrace there was Ardin standing there though he really didnā€™t pay no mind, the man in the leopard costume just striding right past him.

A few people caught sight of the strange looking party crasher not entirely sure what was going on as one of the guests sort of walk forward in his way. ā€œHey! What do you thin-ā€œ Was all the poor person said before the Leopardā€™s eyes went yellow with ferious feline irises. Magic, strange spiritual possession. He released a sudden fierce growl just taking the guest lifting that person up and flung that person right for the band. The sudden crash sparked a sudden panic as a few people started to flee in all directions.

A party crasher! That was more annoying than the last diner party he had to attend with the Markel Family. Arden simply brought the butt of his cane up towards the back of the leopard who had tossed the poor man and grimaced slightly.

"I challenge the laws of nature and reason..."

The words that slipped past Ardens lips sparked with eldritch might and forced the air at the party to somewhat churn as if the wind began to pick up. Arden then moved the butt of his cane towards the heavy ropes that were holding up the tarp above the now ruined musical group while giving his cane a bit of a flick back towards the Leopard.

"By calling upon the powers of the chaos. Mirla Ishva korviex tor!"

With the words spoken the ropes suddenly came alive and flew from their bolts and began to snake towards the giant feline in order to tie him up while the guests began to make clear of the party. "You will not lay a single finger on anyone at this party you blasted cat!" Arden shouted as he brought his freehand forward and created in the air before him a glowing sphere that shimmered several colors.

The Leopard had only noticed the spellcaster when the caned man was half way finished with his incantation. Instead his man focus was on Andrew and Marcy Howe whoā€™d were at the center of this panic. ā€œGet the fuck away from me!ā€ Andrew uttered out rather crudely before the older woman pulled her hotheaded husband back. A hand suddenly gripped the necklace on the old womanā€™s neck moving to pull.

ā€œNo! No! No! Get off! Let go!ā€ She hollered, stingy old bitch! LET GO! LET GO DAMN IT! He growled again pushing with her great strength almost hurting here a little until he had heard the incantment. What the- FUCK!!!! He turned to the sight of the sorcerer summoning the ropes to aide him. They were friends with a spellcaster? He made a mental note to find out who attended these things next time.

The coils broke out of their tent and darted through the air to coil and entangle. Viciously a set of metal blades came out of his finger tips and somewhat lurching he moved to slice at the heavy ropes that were now wrestling with him. His grip remained on the necklace as poor Marcy Howe was forced out by some other guests to protect the vulnerable aged woman as the large man in the cat themed body armor was using his bladed glove and great strength to wrestle with his binds.

"I command you to sit down you annoying cat!" Arden shouted as he rushed over to the elderly woman and tossed the multicolored ball towards the fiendish cat while he himself went to aid the elderly Howe. Arden was not afraid to use his cane as a weapon against the cat but he needed to make sure the older woman was alright.

"Marvex crovus iben." Arden shouted as he brought his cane towards the ground forcing some of the earth to shoot up in columns to separate the two while he himself got next to the older woman and smiled at her. "I will get your party back on track and deal with this party crasher personally."

The Binds broke at his tremendous prowess, the heavy ropes first unwinding by coil and then snapping by the retracting blades of the armored claws. The leopard print villain broke the binds only to get a force knocking him right off his feet, for a moment all he could see was the blur of different colors his head spinning for a moment as he rose upward trying to recover from the head wound.

For once could he just have one plan without any damn complication!? He left Wing City it wasnā€™t supposed to follow him like this! The sudden columns forming out of the ground woke him back alert making a very graceful back flip for a moment landing loosely on the somewhat damaged terrace now. And they mocked him for those years in gymnastics.

Guests were fleeing and the Leopard look to the stones that were still wedged between his fingers. Wait the stones!! He said nothing somewhat beginning toā€¦ fall back to the floor. Alright maybe that head wound was more than he thought stumbling back to his feet as he started to make a great sprint away.

ā€œGive her some air!ā€ A woman screamed as she was accessing the elderly woman that took a bad fall. She seemed certified snapping a man not so nearby to get on his phone and call 911.

"I don't know who you are! Put he's getting away!"

She said point to the sprinting Cat Costumed man.

Arden glanced down at the old Howe and grimaced as one of his employees suddenly pulled out his phone and began to call for an ambulance to arrive on the scene followed by the police.

"Arden!" The older gentlemen shouted as he pointed to the escaping feline. "Put that bastard down!" The sorcerer began to chase after the catman only to continue to grimace at the man. Every ounce of energy that poured off from the feline dressed man oozed with some strange power and Arden could only remove his hat to the fellow. "

"Stop!" Arden shouted only once just to then come to a skidding halt and aiming the butt of his cane towards the felines back. Arden could already feel the strain of casting his magic taking hold but he would not stop till he knew he had this man behind bars or locked up at the zoo.

"I challenge the Laws of Nature and Reason by summoning the power of Binding! Val'Asperuk Ishva Kepta Kepa Fornox!"
It was with a strange light that a dark tendril began to shoot out from the butt of the cane and towards the cat man in hopes of capturing him once again and keeping him in place.

This time still somewhat swaying and balancing himself in his long sprint, The Leopard was a bit more aware of what was occurring around him. He saw the sudden tendrils lash out of the cane his eyes once again glowing a faint yellow.

ā€œDonā€™t meddle into this!ā€

He gripped at the other for a moment. He suddenly made a rather high leap for a tree as the tendrils got closer and attempted to jump off said tree to try to have the tendrils tangle up all around the branches instead.

Fuck! Arden cringed as the tendrils grabbed hold of the branches only to soon dissipate when he broke the spell. The young sorcerer simply continued to chase after the giant feline just to remove his hat in a literal sense and reach deep inside for a rather hefty looking sapphire that seemed to resonate in a rather rhythmic way to the surroundings of the environment that the two where in.

"I am willing to break a deal with you Shizra. Your freedom for the felines imprisonment." Arden whispered to the precious rock just to throw it to the ground cracking it on impact and sending shards of glass and smoke in all directions. What appeared once the smoke cleared was a rather fancy looking bike of deep silver and golden colors and what appeared to be Arden riding behind a rather slender looking woman who had a dark crystal helm on and a rather wicked smile.

"Arden? I am assuming that cat is the one?" Shizra asked only to chuckle and rev her bikes engine just to fly off after the feline. The young sorcerer held onto her waste and almost lost his hat for a moment but he kept still in hopes that the ride would be over soon.

The bike tore up the local grounds of the park as no matter how great the otherā€™s stride was a vehicle moving that fast was catching up. The Leopard turned for a moment somewhat growling again. He looked about for a moment as he was forced to jump into yet another tree as the machine zoomed right for him.

He hissed this time the stainless steel flashing out of his finger tips once more. ā€œIā€™ve warned you! Bumping off a magician like you will kick up my own rep!ā€ He proposed for a moment as the claws moved to slice a piece one of the public lightings that hovered over the grounds to try to crash on the two bellow with electricity, glass and steel.

"Arden I need you now!" Shizra shouted while the young sorcerer raised his cane up to the falling electrical lighting and tried to concentrate with all of his might only to have his eyes go grey for a moment. "Arden? Arden wake the fuck up!" Shizra's command was almost deafening now but it was to late as the falling lights crashed right in front of the bike causing it to fly forward with its back wheel up into the air and sending both rider and passenger flying forwards.

"Shalvex!" Shizra shouted in mid flight suddenly transforming into a strange mist that engulfed the young sorcerer right as he hit a tree causing a majority of its leaves to fall off. Arden was protected but the bike dissipated and so did Shizra once she knew that Arden was starting to wake up.

"Blasted bitch." Arden muttered as he began to feel his arms and legs to see if he had any broken bones. Once he was alright he would begin to look for his cane and hat for his eyes seemed almost glazed over now and he himself seemed tired beyond belief.

The Leopard could not entirely see what was going on with the sudden smoke dissipating close to everywhere currently. For a moment he even thought the whole tree was on fire for a passing moment before he could see a familiar figure rising from the smoke.

He was taking deep fatigued breaths at the moment somewhat considering his next move. With 911 called, response would be here in a few minutes and he needed that time to store the stones and get out of here. He wouldnā€™t risk wasting that time trying to attack the sorcerer, step in and he might be tied up with a spell or a trick.

Instead the Leopard moved to jump off for the next branching attempting to land softly and sprint further away, with every intention of stashing the rubies onsite in the parkā€™s lockers and leaving this place for a month before picking them up again.

The fog from the sorcerers eyes began to clear slowly and with luck that he was able to find his cane and hat in the nick of time. However it was at a loss of the feline burglar though. Slowly the young man stood straight up and began to look around the entire park for some kind of clue as to the direction of Ms. Howe's attacker but found that the sirens in the distance only proved that soon the police would step in and once again Arden would be forced to keep out of the line of work.

Instead of wasting time going after the thief directly he began to walk back towards the ruined party to find that the old man was about to hop along for a ride with his wife in the ambulance. "Mr. Howe I am so sorry I lost that thief. It would be a great honor if I could still be helpful to your family if...." Arden was cut off as Mr. Howe raised his left hand. "Arden, my boy, the only thing I need to worry about now is my wife. The cat stole her necklace, the gift from your family to ours, and allowed her to keep her life. She is just out cold right now from all the excitement." With those words said the doors shut on the ambulance and off the two went to fine care and wonderful hospitality.

Arden however was not going to give up on getting revenge for what had happened. The necklace was a gift his grandfather gave to the Howe family many generations ago. A gift forged by one Sorcerer and handed down to someone they care for should be nothing but easy to find in a park filled with mundane items and trinkets.

Curtis found himself in a dark locker room now somewhat fiddling with the combination. The police would soon be checking close to everywhere, which mean he needed to get the fuck out of Asteria before this confusion could clear up.

A nervous twist went to his gut for a moment as he wrapped the stones in a small gift box and placed it in a paper bag leaving it inside and closing the door in the dark public shower. The unmasked costumed villain took a deep breath for a moment placing the cowl to the torso into an open bag and relocking the container once more.

Safe and sound and quietly the thief began to undress out of the damn costume in the supposedly locked building, a bundle of warm jogging clothes and a duffle bag next to him to store the former uniform and costume and then slip just right out of hereā€¦

Fuck he was going to get caught. He was going to get caught. SHUTUP!

And caught he was. Though it did take some time and Arden had to turn in several directions before he even got anywhere close to the locker room itself the old enchantments on the necklace shined as brightly to him as any star in the night sky. The door was also a slight problem as Arden frowned ever so slightly only to place a single white gloved hand upon the handle and gave it a bit of encouragement to open the perpetrator was caught and right as the poor fellow was switching over to his normal civilian clothes.

"Not that I do not have a problem with the majority of the staff that was present at the party but you are one in particular who did not escape my attention." Arden took a step further inside only to allow the door to shut behind him while his left hand suddenly held a strange glowing orb that seemed to light up the dark building allowing only minor shadows to dance off in the distance. The sorcerer raised the butt of his cane to the thief and kept his gaze upon the man. "Ms. Howe's necklace if you please. I would like to return it to the lovely old woman once she wakes up. You know she has a rather nice smile and it warms the heart to see her happy." Arden could not wait to get this over with and it was about time especially sense the police had now arrived on the scene. "You can either surrender to me or go out there and deal with the cops. Honestly the choice is yours."

Curtis turned his attention to the sudden arriving sorcerer that nearly made him shit his briefs. The other had caught him literally with his pants down, the big mucleheaded blonde somewhat having the equalient of a panic attack as the other arrived in.

How!? He looked to the locker which now had something glowing inside of it in this faint darkness. Of fucking course. The police were also indeed arriving and you could bet your ass they were more than capable of locating both Curtis and the stones through very similar means if he stick around.

ā€œFine. For christsake let me get my pants on first.ā€

Curtis grunted for a moment pulling up the sweats as he just worked the combination lock once more and digging through the locker to pull out the assorted rubies. Well! There goes another payload down the shitter!

ā€œTake the damn necklace and get out of here.ā€ He cursed him.

"With pleasure." Arden spoke as freely as one man could when being victorious. The Sorcerer simply walked over to take the necklace and tossed it under his hat for safe keeping. Once the business was done and over with Arden simply lowered the butt of his cane down and turned away from the thief. It was no matter of skill that the sorcerer had but the wits to use it. "I suggest next time you decide to pick a place to steal from you better be more prepared. The Howe family has always had a deep connection with the arcane for several generations. I would have expected such a thing if I was in your shoes." Arden began to chuckle as he reached for the door. "By the way your best bet to get out of here is sticking to the left side of the park."

Donā€™t tell him how to do his job! Curtis was left there for a moment just glaring at the back of Ardenā€™s head as he so smugly went out. His eyes grew fierce and continued to have the feline like trait iris before growing dull and normal. He took a deep breath and finished packing up, quickly slipping out the scene as the supernatural experts were being let inward.
