Outside the bar came the sound of an old Chevy truck,. Its old engine could be heard vibrating from inside the bar, and most people would be relieved when it was finally off. A young blonde woman stepped out. She wore a short white dress, and a pair of brown cowboy boots that clicked when she walked up to the door and pushed inward. Her long tan legs glinted in the light, and she cast her eyes around the bar once, before moving to sit on a barstool at the bar, and wait for the bartender's attention. When it didn't come as quickly as she would like it to, she smiled and said in a sweet, southern voice, "How's about fixin a girl up with a drink, darlin?"

"Some whiskey if you've got it." she says. Most people would tell her that her accent makes her sound unintelligent, but she liked it. It added character to her words. She crossed one leg over the other, and glanced around the room at all the strangest people in here. A girl from Georgia could hardly take all of it in.

Delilah laughed, though she didn't know why, as she took the whiskey that was placed in front of her, and tilted her head back, letting it run down her throat and the shiver to go through her body. She put some money on the counter, before picking up her half empty glass and beginning to walk throughout the room. She looked at each person in the bar for a while, as if trying to remember everything about them, before she made her way back to her seat, that is, if nobody stopped her

As Wolf came and stood next to her to order his drink, Delilah gave a little wave and a "howdy" before taking another sip of her whiskey.

Delilah gave another straight toothed smile, before frowning just a little bit. "Could I ask you a question?" she asked, and didn't wait for a reply. "Exactly where are we?"

"Hm," Delilah replied. "Well I was just drivin' down old Sawman Road in my little town and next thing I knew I was drivin' right toward this bar. Well hell I figured I'm probably dreamin' or dead, so I came in to see what's up." Once she had run out of breath, as she talked fast, she reached out her own little hand and gripped his. "I'm Delilah." she replied, smiling.

Delilah shrugged. "But now I'm startin' to think I ain't dead. Cuz I always imagined bein' dead as showin up to the Good Lord's front doors and seein' my meemaw again. And so far I ain't seen anyone I know." she paused and looked up at the ceiling, thinking for a moment. "Unless we're in purgatory.... are we in purgatory?" she asked.

"My meemaw's my daddy's mama." she clarified. "And purgatory is where you stay while God decides whether he'll let you up into heaven, or he'll send you down into hell. I never imagined it to look like a bar. Mind you, I never thought I'd get anything other than a one way ticket to heaven. But then of course there was Jimmy last week. But I was drunk so I dunno if God counts those sins as equal to all the others."

As someone pushed in the doors to the bar, Delilah whirled around in her seat and stared at the person who had come in. She cocked her head to the side, and watched as he sat next to her.

For once, Delilah fell quiet. She ran one hand through her hair before reaching down beside her stool and dragging her finger along the neck of her guitar. It was the one thing she took everywhere, having replaced her teddy bear when she was a little girl. Her eyes widened as she took in Cryoface, before nodding. "No, I guess it ain't." she said, "Nice to know that I ain't dead then. Though I still don't understand where the hell we are. Cuz this sure ain't America. That's for sure."

Delila turned on her seat to look at the man who had spoken, and shrugged one of her shoulders. "Naw, I always imagined hell to be a lot scarier than this. And while I'm a little shaken, I can only assume I'm dreamin', so nothin's gonna happen here."\

The loud screech of wheels, and the loud knocking of an old Chevy truck could be heard from inside the bar. Delilah sat in the front seat, back pressed against the leather seat, and hands white knuckled on the wheel. Her blonde hair was a windswept mess, and her blue eyes were wider than saucers on her forehead. Blinking a few times, Delilah looked out the window of her truck at the establishment she had pulled up to. Clearing her throat, and straightening her shirt, hanging low over her cutoff jeans. Her cowboy boots clunked on the ground as she cut the engine and jumped out of the car, before strolling up to the front door of the bar.

Though this city was unusual, and the girl really had no idea what was going on, the one thing a country girl will recognize is a bar. Ruffling her long, blonde hair again, she pushed open the door, shutting it quietly behind her, and stepped in to the bar.

It was quiet, and as she glanced around the room, she saw no one but Cain sitting at the bar. Being a social girl, herself, she walked up to the bar, and pushed herself up onto the barstool, leaning her guitar against the counter, before giving a smile. "Howdy," she said, her accent thick.

She gave a little smile, in response to his response to her.

Delilah's blonde curls bounced as she turned her head around, to look in the direction of the bar door. She watched as someone walked into the door, and the first thing she thought of was how much she admired this person's white hair. Like snow. Delilah gave a little smile, just in case their eyes happened to meet.

The country girl gave a little exclamation of shock, and she hopped down from her barstool, and walked over, briskly, to the woman there. She knelt down onto one knee and put her hand on her shoulder. "Are you okay, darlin'?" Delilah asked.

Delilah, as she watched Cain stand up and move to a table by the window, where she could see the beginning of rain falling from the sky, felt just as lost as Iris. She stared out the window, out at this world that she knew nothing about, other than that she was trapped here.

"I guess we're in Wing City." she said to Iris gently, and helped her to her feet. "I've been stuck here for the past few days. So I'm not sure of much except that."

Delilah could only offer a smile as Iris said nothing. The same fear that shook Iris seized over Delilah's heart, but she was able to hide it exceptionally well. After years of dealing with her daddy, it was easy for her to hide her emotions.

For once in her life, Delilah could not think of anything to say but, "Your hair is beautiful." and offer a small smile. Her blue eyes then made their way to Zelkory, and she gave him a smile as well

Delilah's eyes flashed to the novel, before back to Iris's face. She didn't understand what she was being shown, but she didn't comment on it. "Why don't I get you a drink?" she asked, and began walking to the bar. She took a seat back on her barstool, and let her fingers run over her guitar.

"What would you like?" she asked Iris.

"Sure I'm sure," she said, smiling, and ordered a drink for both of them, and waited for them to be brought to the place in front of them. Delilah watched as Iris leaned toward Zelkory, and listened to their conversation with rising confusion. What a strange place she was stuck in. She cocked her head to the side, before taking a long sip from the whiskey that had been placed in front of her.

Delilah, though she had already met Wolf once before, had never noticed the pistol that he had. In fact, she realized that most of the people who were in the bar were usually armed. Delilah suddenly felt rather naked, and wished desperately for her father's pistol from the truck outside.

Delilah was staring off into the corner of the bar, where she saw a low stage. She got a dreamy look on her face, and continued staring at it. It wasn't until Iris mentioned her hospitality that she came back, as if out of a drunken stupor, and smiled back. "It's not a problem." she replied, and went back to staring at the stage.

Delilah came out of her stupor again to meet eyes with Iris. "I'm fine," she said, giving a little smile. "I just never saw a stage this close before. My daddy never wanted me to perform on them, so he never let me go places where there was one. Homeschooled me and everything toget it out of me." Again, her hand stroked the guitar beside her.

"Sorry, I don't know why I told you that."

Delilah smiled, and nodded her head, tucking one of her hands into her pocket. She picked up the guitar and stood up. "I can show you if you want." she said, and without waiting for an answer, she walked up to the stage, her boots clicking on the ground as she stood behind the microphone that was in front of her. She slung her guitar onto her shoulder and adjusted the microphone, before shyly tapping on it. "Hey y'all," she said, smiling. "I ain't never done this before, but I always wanted to, so... hope y'all don't mind if I sing a little somethin'."

Delilah strummed the and closed her eyes, pressing her lips to the microphone as the music filled the room. "Dry lightning cracks across the skies. Those storm clouds gather in her eyes. Her daddy was a mean old mister. Mama was an angel in the ground. The weatherman called for a twister. She prayed 'blow it down.'"

"There's not enough rain in Oklahoma to was the sins out of that house. There's not enough wind in Oklahoma to tear the nails out of the past."

When she finished the song, she blushed heavily and went back to sit at the bar. "Wow," she said to Iris. "I loved that." she giggled a little bit and ordered a drink, before she noticed that someone had moved into the seat next to her while she was singing. She turned and looked at the most normal man she had ever seen in this bar. She gave a wave, and said "Howdy," to Rob.
