Description

"Music is the art which is most nigh to tears and memory." - Oscar Wilde

Image

Appearance:
Medium height with a slender figure that looks best by candleight,
In which her shadow seems to move independently of its own body at times.
She looks about nineteen or twenty though her age in reality is much more than that.

Her face is framed by long pale blonde hair with a loose wavy curl to it
usually falling softly down her back or shoulders.
Skin as white as a fresh corpse with high rosy cheek bones and
Her eyes are orbs of crystal blue bordered by long, ebony lashes.

Fleur is often dressed mid 1700s garb or other types of antiquated clothing but
at performances she wears modern style gowns or costumes assigned to her.
Fleur has full Rose pink lips and white teeth showing two small fangs on each side,
which seem to be able to retract further outwards as in their usual state her fangs are barely larger than a humans canines.

General information:
She is quite skilled in the arts of conversation, and charming for a blood sucking monster.
Fleur is very proud to have a beautiful soprano singing voice that was nurtured with years of training in classical music.

Voice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCU7YyTtX4A

Fleur can charm her way out of many situations, or rather lure others in so she might feed.
Miss Leveque really never eats regular food which is probably why she has killed so many though
she will be seen drinking tea or water if at a cafe or bar.
Fleur would catch fire and burn to death if in direct sunlight
however, she can be out in the day for small amounts of time,
if she is cloaked, wearing protective eyeglasses, and carrying a parasol.
She can be out with simply a cloak and possibly eyewear if it is an overcast day.
She will become terribly sick and weak if presented with Garlic or Wolfsbane.

Fleur is a renown classical singer in france though she had to leave as people in the world of classical music
were starting to wonder why it had been so long and she never seemed to age,
She easily hides her condition if singing on a great stage although,
in person it can possibly be detected if one were to make her laugh or beam a great smile.

Fleur grows extremely weak if she has not had her fix of fresh blood in atleast a day,
often suffering from debilitating headaches and
her body will wither away and die or go comatose,
if she does not feed for more than two weeks.
Fleur would also fall ill or even die if she were to
drink the blood of a dead human or animal.

Personality

Personality:
Miss Leveque is obsessed with music and performance, to a point that would be considered unhealthy.
She pours over her music very late into her waking hours and to learn a new musical composition or aria to sing or play is the greatest joy of her life.

She goes from being a reckless romantic to a narccisstic fatalist depending on the year.
When Fleur is feeling hungry she will not hesitate to kill, human blood, ofcourse allows this vampire her unnaturally long life, which she devotes wholly to the arts.

She struggles with guilt and this causes her to lash out occasionally,
and the concept of forgiveness is something she battles with, Fleur feels that the wrongs she has and continues to perpetrate against the human race can mended as time goes by, as long as she is always presenting them with beautiful performance of music, compostion, and other works of art.
She is often somewhat vacant and unreachable, lost in her wild inner thoughts and theories on every corner of the universe.

Fleur is cunning and motivated in many tasks she pursues,
especially those pertaining to her singing,
she always wants to be better than the one before her and
often seeks out situations that put her in the spotlight,
having somewhat of an addiction to musical fame.

The celebrity status she often enjoys and the limelight upon her is how she connects with the great mass of mortals,
without being near humans physically and knowing she may harm or kill them due to her bloodlust.

Around large groups she is very calm and serene, despite being a tempest of thoughts and ideas on the inside.
She enjoys being around other Vampires and immortal beings, if not simply because she can speak with those who often creatively on her level and might possess the same amount of theories and curiosities on the creative schools of thought and many other things Fleur enjoys obsessing over.
However very few match her zeal for music that is almost religious in nature.

Equipment

A small purse with a coin bag, a silver mirror, some Jasmine perfume.
And she is often seen with a book of sheet music.

History

Fluer Cecille Leveque was raised in the late 1700s, Living just outside of Bourdeaux France,
on the small estate of her wealthy merchant family who were determined to raise her up in the fashion that was what they deemed "Appropriée pour une jeune femme" Or fit for a young lady.
She did not go to school to learn academic subjects, rather she had many private tutors in classical singing,
etiquette of the day, conversation, proper french diction and foreign language.

She also had a teacher for ballroom and ballet dance,
along with yet another for piano and harp, which she excelled at though never more so than her vocal abilities.

Being raised a female in the late 1700s she was not taught mathematics or anything having to do with science or the natural world
but has taught herself a great deal of this information in the span of her immortality,
and is often reading and attending lectures to broaden her knowledge of the world.

She was complacently happy her life of stiff luxury and was even quite overjoyed at the prospect of an arranged marriage to a Spanish nobleman,
whom she had never met, she simply felt very lucky and honored to be bringing a title into the family.
A few months before her twentieth birthday, this wedding was to occur,
Ofcourse she had a lavish wedding gown tailored and the ceramony would take place at a large Church in Paris.

However, Fleur began to have doubts, when told that she would cease her musical training when she married.
Despite knowing she could never be a performer,
whenever the young frenchwoman went to the Opera in Paris or Bourdeax she would envision herself as the leady soprano,
singing a rueful aria through tears or soaring through notes of a coloratura passage with joy.

Someone in her life must have known this very deep secret of hers,
as she visited on the night of her wedding.
To this day Fleur has very little recollection of the incident,
only knowing that the stranger was a male
and he must have fed her his blood and
bitten her, leaving a string of pearls to cover the bites and
taken a ribbon that had kept her hair in a braid that night.
He also left a thin book of sheet music,
containing one aria composed for her soaring soprano voice,
seemingly an original, that must have been written by the intruder.

Fleur was found dead the next morning with two little wounds on the side of her pale neck.
After only a few hours of being given to the undertaker in preperation for a funeral,
her body disappeared in the night,
leaving no trace of her.

Fluer had awakened as a Vampire, and would not return home.
So, she travelled and went to live abroad in Italy to continue studying voice,
and take the stage singing at the well respected Theatro La Fenice,
after atleast fifty years the young lady went back to France...to become a famous Soprano there as well,
performing at the famous Palais Garnier or Opera de Paris.
Then, as one could infer, because Fleur did not lie low, once more putting herself in the limelight,
she had to leave again after suspicion rose against the Opera star who never seemed to age.

So begins...

Fleur Cecille Leveque strode down a cobbled pathway, putting the finishing touches on her light blonde hair, of which she had been weaving light pink rosebuds into. As usual, she wearing an 18th century gown, this one was quite whimsical being of a pearly white color with lace that was the same sky blue as her eyes, it clung ever so tightly to that tiny corseted waist of hers but left everything to the imagination when the bottom portion of the dress became long and full. The lady Fleur was carrying a broad wicker picnic basket but that seemed to be the extent of what she had on her person.

In a moment it was clear there was a man following her, that looked exceptionally human, despite the fact Fleur often cited her distaste for the human race he seemed to have started walking arm and arm.
The man looked around thirty six and was holding a little program from some symphony hall that read “Florella Usignolo” an Italian variant of the name Fleur and a last name that was plain made up “In concert performing the Lyrical Soprano Arias of Mozart.” After a few minutes more of walking together and chatting the male as most are apt to do late in the evening attempted to whisper a “sweet nothing” that consisted of “Why don’t you get out of that costume..?” into her ear while trying to put a hand on her waist and she was having none of it.

The dainty Fleur reached out a petite little hand as if to bring the man in for a kiss but instead took him by the throat, and then put both lily colored hands upon him, making a motion to crack the man’s neck though only partially thusly rendering him unable to die instantly but instead be incapacitated while she drank as, Fleur could not ingest the blood of the dead lest she become violently ill. The man was subsequently pulled down by the demure blood drinker and rather graciously she simply bit him once leaving two little punctures from her sharp fangs and then began drinking, being oh so careful not to get any on her elegant attire. The man died a few moments later, and Fleur put his body in a horse drawn carriage that sat parked near the entrance to Wing City Gardens. The carriage, eerily enough, was not actually being pulled by horses but as soon as she stowed the corpse in the covered compartment it sped off somewhere, presumably to dump the body.
Kol might have seen the entire awful affair, if he was not late which Fleur had expected him to be.

She moved down a pathway with arches covered in purple Snapdragons and sat with poise at a stone bench that stood at the very end of the area, admiring the flowers, waiting for her companion, and looking as if she had been plucked from a Byron poem or a Jane Austen novel.

“Vous n'avez pas réellement s'attendre moi à manger, monsieur…? " The stately Vampiress said with a coquettish laugh, in private it seemed Fleur was a little more fanciful and less austere.

She lifted her own Picnic basket and opened the top to expose a bottle of red wine that was made in 1837 and a bottle of Blanc de Noirs champagne from her home country that looked only about three years old.

“And I have brought drinks I expected you might enjoy, forgive my presumptuousness if I am incorrect in my assumption.” Her tone was musical as always, with the saccharine accent that was always a throwback to the courts of Versailles.

Fleur Cecille Leveque ‘s blue eyes glimmered like icy blue sapphires and in the shadowy moonlight her snow colored skin seemed to glow. She looked like a young woman of her own era who had gone out for an evening garden party only much to stay much later than was deemed socially acceptable for a lady of her status.
“I do apologize but if I were to eat the food of humans, I’d simply …Well…” She was too polite to say she spew chunks of food and possibly regurgitate her own stomach so she settled on “Become quite ill.”
When Kol moved closer, Fleur took his arm and noticed the effort he had put into his clothing and appreciated this, but found it a little comical that he had opted to keep his jeans/sneaker combination. She wondered if what he said about oxford was actually true, and sort of doubted it “My, You attended Oxford? Je suis impressionné…Tell me, What is it you studied during your time there?”
Upon seeing him produce the blood she felt a little bad, she didn’t want to refuse something twice as she already felt she was being terribly rude, So…What would it be act without proper etiquette or essentially burn her body from the inside out?

Upon passing a Wisteria tree, Fleur studied the dusky purple petals that hung down from its flowers in languorous columns, lifting her chin ever so slightly and catching the syrupy fragrance it exuded before turning back to her companion.

The Vampiress smirked at Kol when what she knew was a façade fell away but her tone was reassuring “Oh, You do not have to tell lies about your past, leave that to one who is certainly more proficient at it.” She gestured coyly to herself after saying this and continued in the conversation, sounding rather cheery, which would have been a little bit uncharacteristic for Fleur

“I had the same, save for the fact, being of the purely decorative sex; I was trained to sing of course and was taught the Harp and Pianoforte. I was additionally Schooled in Italian, English, Calligraphy, manners becoming of a young lady, Dancing, the arts of good conversation, creating dainty little drawings and paintings, Attracting a suitable husband, and… Really I could go on for a time.”
Fleur hadn’t exactly learned anything purely academic except how to read and write as ladies would have been deemed Bluestockings if they studied anything that was not considered a purely feminine art.

“And my many tutors where, Firm…Shall I say?”

Fleur Cecille Leveque sat in a refined manner, with her legs to the side of her so that the bottom of her silky shoes where just peeping out from the folds of the antiquated dress she wore, one would be hard pressed to find a woman so modest in the 21st century.

At Kol’s remark she laughed quietly in that restrained manner she so often possessed, her voice was melodious and light, almost like a little bell and it fit nicely with a backing of insect chirps and rustling leaves. “I did possess a great many suitors…” She thought of the dead man “I suppose I still do…In a much different way.” Fleur certainly had male admirers and those who were fans of her voice, but no lover.

The roses in her hair gave off their scent as well as the Jasmine oil that she always wore, and it all seemed to intermingle with the smattering of different flowers around them. His question piqued her interest and her demeanor became playful “Would you like a romanticized lie or a story that is more truthful?”

Fleur Cecille Leveque made a tiny shrug, one would have had to look closely to even see it “Comme il vous plaira…” But before telling him anything she leaned over, somehow keeping her posturing all the while, and reached into her own basket for a corkscrew then handing it to him graciously but with a sly smile, she couldn’t help finding it a bit amusing that he could not manage the cork of a wine bottle.

The Vampiress was not apt to blather on about herself but he’d asked for it, so she began the small story of how she was turned into a creature restricted only to the night “Well I believe it was around seventeen fifty two, I had recently turned Twenty years of age, and of course I was destined to be married off within weeks of that birthday…” She paused and smiled fondly “My father was driven a little mad by the many offers for my hand…But he finally settled on a Spaniard who possessed an ungodly amount of status and wealth,”

She spoke with such a pleasant cheery grace it was almost as if she were on her parents estate in Boudreaux or in at a Parisian ball. “Though I found him a bit bawdy…And I did not particularly fancy leaving France, I was…Cooperative and did not attempt to change anybody’s mind on the matter of my marriage.” Fleur had always been a most virtuous and obedient daughter, who was not at all apt to speak her mind, although this did not mean she had been unintelligent, she was simply understanding her place in the world at that time.

“But on the night before the ceremony I…” She trailed off a bit recollecting an event that was quite foggy in her memories.

“Mon Dieu!” She laughed “That’s not at all the story it’s nothing so pretty, I did not even know…The man? I presume it was a man…Or rather I only have faint guess on who it was, A gentleman who had been coming to the balls held by my family…You see they always had me show off my accomplishments...” Fleur had the same beautiful singing voice at that time that had been trained since childhood and later made her famous among the denizens that inhabited western Europe, as a fledgling Vampire, and even during the modern age in the world of Classical music.
“And my embroidery was not exactly a work of art, so I played the harp and sang when the evening was coming to a slow spot…There was a rather dapper man who would stand outside the window to listen and watch during these times, I often pointed him out after my little performance, but none of the other guests ever recalled seeing him, even I somehow could not remember his face.”

Fleur glanced with mild concern at Kol’s struggling with the Champagne but figured she couldn’t do much now that it was all shaken up and continued in her story “And…After the first few times I saw him, I began noticing that things were missing from my bedchamber…Small things such as hair ribbons or the needlepoint I had been working on that week.”
The Vampiress was well aware that her story was much creepier and less idealistic than those that most Vampires were able to tell, but this was the honest truth. “And I suppose he must have found out about my impending nuptials, as I woke up on the eve of my wedding, with a shadowy figure bent over me and a metallic red liquid being forced into my lips…and pain from a wound in my neck.” She blushed feeling her frank statement to be immodest. “And then I was almost…I suppose forced back to sleep, as I woke up to being examined by a mortician…Who I promptly murdered with these…I suppose he intended to retrieve me after the undertaker had gone but I fled too soon.” She grinned then, showing of

showing off her blaringly white fangs as those were the weapons she had used in commiting her first kill. “Now that you know the dreadfully crude truth, you shall never want for a Vampire mistress, Am I not Correct?”

Fleur Cecille Leveque arched an eyebrow quizzically “But if you truly think on it, we are truly loathsome and –“ it was at that moment when Kol had his unfortunate mishap with the champagne.

Fleur began laughing, without restraint for once in fact she doubled over laughing “Yes…Most certainly...” She breathed between mirthful giggles, she sounded girlish and actually quite sweet.
She, still chuckling a bit, took a hand embroidered handkerchief from one of her frilly sleeves, and began gently dabbing at his face, leaning awfully close to him to do so; he might have smelled the familiar scent of her Jasmine perfume.

Fleur Cecille Leveque began chuckling once more, Kol was so ungainly in his manner sometimes she thought he must be human, and she wondered what he really was, only having ever sensed that he was not a Vampire though still a supernatural being of some sort, now she was leaning towards demon perhaps or maybe a sprite…?

“I did indeed know!...Your hair? Oh please, do not be such a fop!” This was about as playful as Fleur could get, but her countenance changed to that of utter surprise for a moment when he pushed her down, Pink Petals from the roses in her hair flew upwards when she was knocked over and on the ground her pale blonde waves splayed out freely around her face, this was most unbecoming.

“If you were a gentleman you would not drip Champagne on me so.” His hair had dripped a little onto her collarbone area and this perturbed her a good deal but not enough to fully wipe the cheeky smile from her face. “Is that not punishment enough?”

Fleur Cecille Leveque giggled and figured she might as well acquiesce as it was already improper to have a man bending over her in such a fashion and she certainly did not want to stain her ivory dress, an aspiring Van Hellsing had attempted to stake her just last week and torn the lace scalloping of one of her favorite gowns and she was not going to have another one ruined,

but ever the lady she turned her cheek to him which were now rosy, as if expecting he did not mean on the lips.

Fleur Cecille Leveque ‘s face was cold, this would have been one disadvantage to having a Vampire mistress as Kol wanted, they were frigid. Despite not changing in temperature her face brandished red for a moment but the hue quickly disappeared leaving only a faint of pink in her cheeks, Fleur was not exactly used to being touched even in the most benign way as Kol must have known.

Resettling herself on the blanket, she smoothed her silky dress, and half reclined, looking languid and tranquil she was in rare form. “I cannot fathom how you find this interesting…” She paused a moment thinking on her past “Oh yes, I suppose he would have been ostracized for a time, as he left me knowing nothing of my condition, although I was certain I had become something different…Fangs in place of canines, skin so pale I would never need to powder my face again and I traveled only by night as I became awfully tired in the daytime, how lucky it was that I did not have the energy to walk about in the daytime or I would have burst into flames or something of the like…He was, as I have been told looking for me relentlessly but despite my high profile life as a celebrated Soprano, I was determined to keep away from my maker, I was …An imbecile of a fledgling I suppose, but I couldn’t have bared meeting the man who had made me a monster.” She stopped a moment a looked at him unsure if he wanted her to continue.

Fleur Cecille Leveque shook her head at his childlike manner but still wore a grin, so it mustn’t have offended her that much. “I told you before, I woke up in a mortuary, as they’d found me without a heartbeat or any breath and figured I must have been dead.” She was now rearranging her hair and the diminutive flowers woven throughout it, which had been so disturbed when he knocked her over. “I certainly did run off, after procuring the dowry my father had readied to present to my grooms family, just before the ceremony of our wedding, which of course never happened.”

She blushed a little before continuing, as this next statement showed her very frivolous attachment to an instrument “And made arrangements to have my golden Harp shipped to Italy on a tramway, you see my family had a rarely used vacation villa just outside of Venice, and I so foolishly traveled there.” She began stroking the petals of a Calla Lily growing near them as she told of her past. “I was so blessed…If one can call it that, to be discovered by a member of a coven in the city of Venice, They were the ones who taught me how to kill, and lovely ways to lure in prey…And so on.”

Fleur did not exactly want to go into the things she had learned as a young Vampire. “And that was where I was discovered in a musical way as well…” She trailed off with a faint smile forgetting to answer his question about meeting her creator,as the memory of the begining of her stardom was one she actually enjoyed.

Fleur Cecille Leveque may have been beautiful and delicate, she still was a ruthless killer, and she had to be to survive, though in her defense she did not kill good women or children, though that wasn’t exactly an impeccable moral code at least she had one.
In response to Kol’s remark about her story not being exactly ideal she laughed quietly, a little wistfully “Ah, but it never is.”
She sat listening to his end of the conversation, and was in fact rather curious to hear of his life but not before having a bit of fun, she thought, after hearing his question.

Her icy blue eyes became tinted with malice and she licked her full cherry-like lips that stood in such contrast to the cream color of her skin“Il est une bonne chose vous a demandé…I should like to show you” Her voice was that tuneful melody of seduction he might not have known she could muster, With that she leaned in as if to give Kol a kiss, and if he were not to resist her she’d take him by the throat with inhuman speed, push him to the ground and the lunge at him with her fangs, stopping only a millimeter from him skin and then releasing him with a girlish giggle, she must have definitely considered him a friend now, to warrant such a display, despite the way it seemed to diverge from her very nature, this was actually how a French aristrocrat of her day might have acted if alone with a closer confidant, it was not all tenative glances and pleasant chats over tea.

Fleur Cecille Leveque Was now wearing a grin that showed off her radiantly white teeth with two razor sharp fangs in place of canines, she repositioned herself in the demure way she had been sitting, her little blue silky slippers with just a touch of a heel or rather simply a rise in the back as was the style of the 18th century, barely visible at the end of her gown.

Fleur looked unsure for a moment then answered him with the truth “Of course, and I cannot drink dirty bl—Oh, I mean blood from the dead, either, I should die… Or simply become very ill and then fall into a long sleep. It is because I was bitten by an ancient Vampire, I am slightly more powerful than the newer of my kind though I have to be more discriminatory about certain activities…” Her eyebrows rose when he made an offer of blood “Certainly not!”

Her tone was chiding as one might use to scold a child “I shan’t like to kill you, and that is exactly what would happen. Besides, you are not human; I have never …Made that sort of experiment.” She was speaking in regards to drinking from a non-mortal source.

Fleur Cecille Leveque shyed away from his continuous offers by moving slightly farther from him and regaining that formal manner, though not entirely “All the better reason not to try it, Furthermore...” And this she said with indignant resignation “I do not think of you as prey at all.”

Fleur was one to neither make friends with her dinner nor make a meal of her friends, and she was quite certain Kol would pull some roguish trick if she even tried biting him. “What a boastful nature you possess, I am confident that it would not be so difficult for me to make short work of you, especially given that you are partially human.”

Fleur Cecille Leveque laughed in her coquettish manner, it was true, she would probably never engage in a true fight as she did not find it lady-like in the least.

She noticed his challenge and shook her head demurely “I shall never engage in a brawl, but if I were to be so vulgar as to don a boyish frock and fight, You can be certain I could hold my own.”

She reclined slightly once more and looked at him inquisitively “Do tell me, what is your other half?” She grinned coyly “I imagine you’re a sprite or demon of some sort, the way you act.”

Fleur Cecille Leveque nodded indolently, she obviously was not too worried about ancient creatures from legends “I have heard it indeed, from what is said they would not be…Well like I am and the Vampires who you might see depicted in popular culture. They have been described as much less human in appearance and manner, than most of my kind.”

She watched him speak for a moment, he was so youthful in demeanor almost innocent though she knew he was not “Oh but I must entreat you, return to our original topic.” Wanting to know what Kol really was, she attempted to steer him back on course.

Fleur Cecille Leveque began nodding from the moment he began describing the powers that the Titans possessed “I am well versed in the creation myths of all cultures and I am familiar with the Titans, who were, in time, overtaken by the Olympians, yes?” She then mused to herself “Why is it that I find legends so often to be truth here in Wing City….”

Her blue eyes bore a look of slight admiration for a moment “Kolandros is much nicer than Kol, in fact it is quite handsome…” for some reason Fleur rather liked the sound of his name, it was so regal and rolled from the tongue, not so severe as the one syllable name he had introduced himself with. “Tell me then, are you mortal or immortal? …You must be ….How else could you be living in this modern age?” Now he had really piqued her interest.
