Description

Image
Hair color: Black
Eyes color: Green
Height: Five foot one
Weight: 110
Age: Twenty

Personality

Stubborn and childish, Jacey will most likely stick her tongue out at you/punch you in the shoulder when she is commanded. A sarcastic sense of humor leaves her seeming bitter and rather angry inside. She enjoys sticking her nose in other people's business and offering advice, even when it isn't wanted. If you are looking for a pity party, get the hell away. She isn't your therapist and she damn well doesn't want to be.

Equipment

Weapons: Whatever she can steal from your pockets.

History

Jacey was abandon in an Ally-way at the age of four in Chicago, Illinois. A group of thugs attempted to beat and kill the little girl, but hardly got past raising their fists when mob boss Tommy Dizzario stumbled upon them. After scaring away the thugs, he brought the child ‘home’ with him. His fellow mob members didn’t understand why he’d saved her, but Tommy had a plan. He’d train the kid on the ways of the mob and leave someone to take his place after he died. Tommy taught Jacey how to defend herself, how to survive, and most importantly: never trust anyone. Jacey’s first kill was when she was ten years old and from there on she killed constantly. She craved her father’s approval more than anything in the world.

Growing up, Jacey was respected in the mob circle because of her father's position. However, when Tommy died when Jacey was 15, the people she’d seen as family suddenly turned against her because she was officially the new Mob Boss. Rumor around the streets is that the mob is still looking for her all these years later for reasons unknown.

So begins...

Jacey Dizzario waved goodbye to Elly, watching her go with a grin. "'Night, love!" Jacey would soon follow up the stairs and head to bed herself.

Jacey Dizzario stumbled down the steps from Gambit’s Hotel, eyes focused on the shag carpet of the staircase underneath her feet. With a sad sigh, she continued on her way over to the bar, dropping into a stool next to some guy. She didn’t bother glancing at his face; she really didn’t care who she was. Jacey just wanted to relax and forget all the bullshit that had gone down today.

Jacey Dizzario heard the familiar voice of the one and only Mason Giles. With a loud squeal, Jacey turned quickly to stare at Mason for a second, taking in his strong shoulders and handsome face before launching herself at Mason and (hopefully) into his arms. “Oh Mason!” Had he caught her, she would squeeze him tightly, still not letting go.

Jacey Dizzario pulled back with a blush when she noticed she was practically in his lap. She pulled away from him, beaming. “Sorry for jumping on you but - ” she gestured vaguely up and down his body, chuckling. “You’re here!” Jacey was tempted to throw herself at him again, but resisted the urge. “How – why – How are you here? Are you on leave?”

Jacey Dizzario bit her lip when he showed her the wound; worry clouding her eyes. “I’m sorry you got hurt, but…” she trailed off, a grin spreading across her face. “I’m really glad you’re here. I’ve missed you,” she added quietly. It was obvious Mason had changed in his time away. His eyes seemed suddenly less bright, his smile less brilliant. She’d expected it to happen, but it still didn’t make her any less sad.

After a pause, she leaned over and wrapped her arms around him again, burying her face in his neck. “I’m really glad you’re here.” Jacey pulled back again, this time her face staying even toned. There was no reason for her to be ashamed of hugging him. He was a friend, after all.

Jacey Dizzario cocked her head slightly, confusion written clearly across her face. “You can tell me anything, Mason, you should know that.” At his next words, she frowned. “You need to talk to me somewhere else? We could just go now and talk. Upstairs to my room?” She furrowed her eyebrows. “You’re kind of scaring me, Mason. Are you okay?”

Jacey Dizzario smiled, comforted by his words. "All right, if you insist..." She bit her bottom lip, thinking for a moment. "Are you sure we have to wait until tomorrow? Nature can be lovely in the dark.” Really, Jacey was loosing her mind with curiosity. What would he tell her? She chuckled, “Kazen is always saying I’m far too curious for my own good. Of course, he adds quite a few ‘loves’ in between those words.” She giggled, thinking of the Irishman who’d become rather constant in her life. “You can tell me whenever you want, I’m sorry for pushing.”

Jacey Dizzario didn't notice the hurt shinning out of his eyes, too focused on how to describe Kazen. Jacey had no idea she was hurting Mason with talking about Kazen since he'd never acted on any feeling towards her. "Kazen is..." she cut off, fingers lightly tracing the wood pattern in the bar counter. "Well, he's Irish and likes to talk far too quickly so I always end up lost with his Irish slang," she giggled, as if rememebering a fond memory. "We've become pretty close these last few weeks and we talk quite often."

Jacey Dizzario watched worriedly as he took a few sips of his drink. She reached over when he'd set the glass down, taking a sip of the brown liquid. “Are you drinking?” She’d never seen him drink anything other than the standard coke. She was pretty surprised he was drinking the alcohol so quickly. “And yeah, he’s a great guy…” Jacey trailed off, shrugging slightly.

Jacey Dizzario pouted slightly at his words of goodbye, but couldn't fight the smile that spread across her face at his obvious expectance of a hug. She stood, throwing her arms around him in a crushing grip, snuggling into the warmth of his chest. Jacey breathed in his comforting scent, reluctant to let go. She decided with an inward giggle that he’d have to pull away first.

Jacey Dizzario grinned, looking up at him. "Sorry. I haven't had a hug in a long time," Jacey muttered against his chest. Even at the obvious back-patting, she refused to let go, choosing to ignore it and snuggled back into his chest.

Jacey Dizzario scowled up at him, furiously patting down her dark, now messy hair. “Ah, thanks, Mason. So mature of you!” She tried to stay annoyed at him, but his grin was infectious, soon spreading across her own. Jacey did a small victory dance in her mind at the fact that she’d won the hugging war! “All right, since you ruined my amazing hug I’m going to head to bed. I’ll see you tomorrow for our talk!” She stood up on her tippy toes, pressing a kiss to his check. “There. That’s what you get for messing up my hair.” Jacey nodded before turning on her heel and climbing the stairs to Gambit’s Hotel.

Jacey Dizzario practically ran down the stairs leading from Gambit’s Hotel, her black hair flying behind her. She continued on over to the bar counter, plopping down onto the stool with a tired sigh. She hadn’t slept very well last night, constantly tossing and turning.

Jacey waved over a bartender, “Can I have a coke?” He nodded quickly and ran to get her order.

Jacey Dizzario jumped slightly at hearing Mason’s voice. “A bit of warning next time!” She clutched her hand to her chest, feeling her heart racing from the fright. “You’re going to give me a heart attack, I swear.” Shaking her head, she stood up and wrapped her arms tightly around him for what had to be the billionth time.

Jacey pulled away, trying to pretend she didn’t see the blank look on his face or the way his shoulders were slumped. She tried, and failed. Her lips pulled down in concern. “Mason - ” her words were cut off with the arrival of the ‘tender.

“Here ya go,” he muttered, dropping the drinks in front of their respective seats.

Jacey sat down and reached for her glass. “How did you sleep last night? You seemed mighty tired.”

Jacey Dizzario grinned. "You could say that." She wasn’t going to tell him she stayed up thinking about him until the early hours of the morning. She didn't want to think about the expression of disgust that would surely pass over his face. “Did you eat anything today?” she asked, her motherly side coming out full-force.

Jacey Dizzario stared after the small redheaded girl for a moment. "Um... Yeah. Let's get out of here." She stood up, but not before slipping her small hand into his and tugging him up with her. Jacey fought down a blush and surely failed if the heating of her cheeks said anything. “So where should we go? You wanted to see nature, yeah?”

Jacey Dizzario followed Mason’s example and sat down on a tree stump, her jeans protecting her legs from scratches. She let her gaze trace over her surroundings, obvious awe on her face. She’d never really ventured out of Gambit’s so she’d had no idea that somewhere so… Amazing existed. “This place is beautiful, Mason!” Jacey turned her head quickly to stare at him, her dark hair following in a wave behind her. Her grin was bright and almost childish in her glee.

Jacey Dizzario felt the grin slowly slip of her face, a frown taking its place. "Oh Mason..." she murmured. Her green eyes looked conflicted as she felt as she considered going over and sitting with him on his tree stump, wrapping her arms tightly around him and never letting go… But no, that wouldn’t work. She kept still on her makeshift seat, eyes never leaving his. “Go ahead and tell me what’s going on in that head of yours.” Jacey’s lips quirked up into a small smile but it looked forced.

Jacey Dizzario listened to his story, eyes filling with tears. It was ridiculous that she was crying when it wasn’t even her, but she could still feel the tears trying to escape her eyes. She wiped a hand hastily across her face to get rid of the tears. “God, I’m so sorry, Mason. I didn’t know it was so - ” her words cut stopped. “Can’t you… Run away? Stay at Gambit’s with me! We can hide you there and - ” she wasn’t sure where she was going with this.

Jacey Dizzario nodded eagerly. “We can, we will. We’ll get you out of this, Mason, I swear we will.” Her eyes stared into his with a determined brightness, her lips pulling up into a smile. “Does that mean you’ll be home – I mean here for Christmas?” She tried to keep the crushing hope down that she might have some idea of when she’d see him again. It was tiring to come running into the bar every day, hoping he’d be their with that familiar smile. The hope was destructive and painful every time he wasn’t.
