Description

Image
Hair color: Black
Eyes color: Green
Height: Five foot one
Weight: 110
Age: Twenty

Personality

Stubborn and childish, Jacey will most likely stick her tongue out at you/punch you in the shoulder when she is commanded. A sarcastic sense of humor leaves her seeming bitter and rather angry inside. She enjoys sticking her nose in other people's business and offering advice, even when it isn't wanted. If you are looking for a pity party, get the hell away. She isn't your therapist and she damn well doesn't want to be.

Equipment

Weapons: Whatever she can steal from your pockets.

History

Jacey was abandon in an Ally-way at the age of four in Chicago, Illinois. A group of thugs attempted to beat and kill the little girl, but hardly got past raising their fists when mob boss Tommy Dizzario stumbled upon them. After scaring away the thugs, he brought the child ‘home’ with him. His fellow mob members didn’t understand why he’d saved her, but Tommy had a plan. He’d train the kid on the ways of the mob and leave someone to take his place after he died. Tommy taught Jacey how to defend herself, how to survive, and most importantly: never trust anyone. Jacey’s first kill was when she was ten years old and from there on she killed constantly. She craved her father’s approval more than anything in the world.

Growing up, Jacey was respected in the mob circle because of her father's position. However, when Tommy died when Jacey was 15, the people she’d seen as family suddenly turned against her because she was officially the new Mob Boss. Rumor around the streets is that the mob is still looking for her all these years later for reasons unknown.

So begins...

Jacey Dizzario nodded eagerly. “We can, we will. We’ll get you out of this, Mason, I swear we will.” Her eyes stared into his with a determined brightness, her lips pulling up into a smile. “Does that mean you’ll be home – I mean here for Christmas?” She tried to keep the crushing hope down that she might have some idea of when she’d see him again. It was tiring to come running into the bar every day, hoping he’d be their with that familiar smile. The hope was destructive and painful every time he wasn’t.

Jacey Dizzario frowned. “They send trackers after you? Gods, that’s… That’s…” She shook her head, at a loss for words. “That’s fucking ridiculous.” She got off of her tree stump and laid out on the grass, staring up at the sky. She folded her arms behind her head and watched the clouds make shapes in the sky. “What will you do when you come home to stay?”

Jacey Dizzario turned to stare at him, still lying on the ground. "You'll be leaving? I thought -- I thought..." Damnit! She'd let herself hope again! When would she learn not to get her hopes up? The blow felt like a punch to the stomach. “I – I guess you wouldn’t be able to stay in one area for long.” She forced herself to look away from him and back up to the sky. Jacey burst out laughing at his next words. Through a fit of giggles she choked out, “I don’t think you’d look good with a beard.”

Jacey Dizzario smiled up at the sky, the sun’s rays warming her skin. Maybe she’d actually get a tan instead of being so pale all the time. Jacey’s eyes widened at his next words and she fought the urge to jump up and deny everything. “I – Uh well you know - ” a pink blush found it’s way onto her cheeks; the pink color obvious under the light of the sun. Why was it so hard to come up with a normal response!? “Uh, I…” She trailed off, choosing to just stay quiet. If he pushed it… She wasn’t sure what she’d do.

Jacey Dizzario sat up from her spot on the ground, whipping her head to stare at Mason. “I’m confusing?” She stood up, stomping over to where he sat. “I’m confusing? That’s ridiculous! You’re always hot and cold, I never know when I’m going to see you, and when I do see you I just - ” Because he was sitting, she was a tad bit taller than him and she used this to her advantage by glaring down at him.

“You want to know why I care?” Her voice was quiet, suddenly all the anger gone. Jacey pressed her lips to his; one hand resting on his left shoulder while the other went to his hair. She closed her eyes, relishing in the feeling of his lips on hers. She pulled back, green eyes wild and blushing furiously. “That’s why,” she whispered.

Jacey Dizzario was surprised when Mason didn’t storm away, but instead grabbed her hands. She tightened her grip on his hands when he spoke of all the things that were wrong with this. Her eyes slid shut and she bit her lip. She didn’t want to talk about that stuff. She wanted to lay back on the grass and just talk with him. Better yet, she wanted to kiss him again. However, those were stupid hopes and knew she couldn’t do either thing.

“I… I was trying to forget you were leaving,” she whispered, eyes finally sliding open. “Kazen is… I’m not sure. He isn’t looking for a relationship and I don’t think I could be with him even if he was.” She lowered her eyes to stare at his shoulder. “I don’t know what to do, Mason. I told myself I’d never become involved with someone in the military. I didn’t think I could handle if something happened…” Jacey trailed off, eyes still refusing to look at him. “But it doesn’t matter. I didn’t have a choice in liking you.”

Jacey Dizzario finally raised her eyes to meet his. “Six months?” It sounded so long. Did she really want to wait six months to see if they could even work? With a jolt, she realized she did. Even though it’d hurt like a bitch to try and be with him without seeing him, she knew she wanted to try.

Jacey pulled one hand away from his and twisted it back in his soft hair. She grinned at him, nodding once. “I’ll wait. I don’t want to wait, but I will.” She felt the hope start back up in her chest and she wished it’d just leave. If something happened to him while he tried to escape… She’d be crushed. “How can you be sure you can get out, Mason?”

Jacey Dizzario laughed with him, the hope inside of her making her almost dizzy. “All right.” She stared at him for a minute, not really knowing what to say. “I feel like I’m going to wake up and this’ll be just another dream of mine.” She shook her head. “How do I know this isn’t a dream? That I’m not going to wake up and find myself in my room at Gambit’s; alone.” Jacey’s hand currently twisted in his hair began to run through the curls at the back of his neck slowly. “I don’t want to have to wake up, then.”

Jacey Dizzario jumped when he pinched her, glaring down at him. She pushed his shoulder lightly with the hand that had been playing with his hair before breaking out into laughter. She ignored his random kick and pressed a small kiss to his cheek. “Seems better than decent to me.” She sent a wicked smile at him. “Or are my kisses not up to par?” Jacey laughed again, but suddenly turned serious. “I mean, it wouldn’t be the first time I had a dream about you so I can’t really say this isn’t one.”

Jacey Dizzario tugged Mason through the door of Gambit's by his hand, a bright smile on her face. “Come on, pretty boy, buy me a coke.” She giggled and led him to the bar, only releasing him hand once she’d plopped down onto a barstool.

Jacey Dizzario followed his lead by leaning onto the counter. “I’m guessing you don’t have a cell phone?” Knowing the answer, she shook her head. “We could… Write? Someone could read the letters, though…” She frowned. “I still vote for making you hide out in my room and never coming down. I could bring food, water… I’m sure we’d find something to do in all that time.” Jacey winked at him, grinning widely.

Jacey Dizzario nodded, reaching for her own coke. "Alright. So that brings up the subject of the holidays…” She trailed off, thinking of what to say. “I’m warning you now, I’m going to be getting you something. No idea what, but something.” She lifted her glass, grinning at him over the rim. “I don’t expect something obviously since we aren’t really together…” She trailed off again, sipping her coke.

Jacey Dizzario pouted childishly. "I don't want to wait two months." One slim finger traced the rim of her glass as she stared into the depths of the beverage. “But I don’t have a choice, do I?” She realized with an uneasy feeling that she wouldn’t have anything to do but sit and wait for the two or so months to be over. “Damnit. Can’t I just go with you?” She connected eyes with him, her own pair pleading. She knew the answer was no without him even speaking, but she was getting desperate. Jacey felt like their conversation was coming to a close and she’d have to say goodbye.

Jacey Dizzario raised an eyebrow, and amused grin spreading across her face. The sadness that had been threatening to take over vanished just for a moment with his words. “Do you? I suppose I can’t deny a solder a parting wish.” She giggled, shaking her head. “I’m not so sure. I’m a bit of a midget and I’m not really coordinated....”

Jacey Dizzario shook her head with a grin. She stood up and laced her fingers with his, attempting to pull him up. “Come on, pretty boy. I’m going to dance with you right here and now, no buts.” With another tug, hopefully Mason would be up. “Come on, woo me with your dancing skills.”

Jacey Dizzario let him lead her, hoping to God she wouldn’t fall. Between watching where she was going and trying not to step on his feet, Jacey was actually having a good time. “You know, you’re a pretty great dancer. I thought you said you weren’t coordinated!” She laughed lightly.

Jacey worked on memorizing this moment in time, knowing it was all she’d have of him for several months. “Will you… Will you miss me?” Her question came out quietly; he might not have even heard her. She hoped she didn’t come out sounding needy or anything, but she really was thinking about it. Would he miss her when he would be so far away?

Jacey Dizzario snuggled into his chest; enjoying the small amount of time they had left together. “Good. Don’t let any of those rich snobs steal you away.” Her lips pulled up into a tiny grin, but it immediately disappeared with his next words.

“Y-you have to go now, I’m guessing?” She hated the way her voice quivered; she sounded so weak and vulnerable. “Of course I’ll write you. I wont have much else to do for two months.” She laughed halfheartedly, her arms tightening around him slightly.

Jacey Dizzario stared up at him, willing herself not to cry. “I won’t. You… Please, stay safe.” Her eyes filled with tears and spilled over, trailing down the pale skin of her cheek. “Please.” She stood up onto her tippy toes, arms wrapping around his neck leaving her inches away from his lips. “I promise to wait for you, but I can’t wait forever. Come home to me.” She pressed her lips against his, all her sadness and longing shinning through.

Jacey Dizzario watched him go; refusing to move her eyes away from him until he'd disappeared completely into the night. Jacey turned on her heel and ran up the stairs to her room, never looking back.

Jacey Dizzario stumbled down the steps on Gambit's Hotel, eyes tired. "Another goddamn nightmare," she grumbled to herself while making her way to the bar. "You think I'd sleep like a log - but no." Plopping down onto the seat, Jacey leaned heavily onto the barcounter.
