Lillea There was little here that interested her, but for the moment, it was her only safe haven. There were too many who searched for her, too many wishing to rob her of her only possession. Freedom. She folded her arms and swept her gaze around the tavern, eying each patron warily, searching for anyone who might be looking at her too closely.

Lillea Her slim, callused fingers drummed absently on the table, her anxiety showing through the calm mask she had placed over her attractive face. The bar was unusually quiet, and it was putting her ill at ease. She had learned that she must trust her instincts, whether or not they seemed logical, and in her current situation, she could not afford to ignore even the slightest twinge. Deep blue eyes scanned the tavern once more, hunting for any sort of soldier that might recognize her, someone to hide from.

Lillea gave a loud yawn, perhaps sleep would be in order. Suddenly, her ears twitched, a sure sign of sound. Her head turned in the direction of the muffled scream, unable to find the source. Sapphire eyes narrowed and she rose, following the strangled sound.

Lillea 's eyes widened and her stride quickened, bringing her towards the muffled sound of pain and terror. She gave a slow blink and the room brightened, revealing Dana and her captor. The woman's hands instantly reached towards a blade hidden on her thigh as she continued forward, one hand up so as not to startle the man, and perhaps provoke him.

Lillea gave a disarming smile and took another step forward, her mild British accent floating sweetly to his ears, "I don't think that the woman wants to accompany you, so why don't you just let her go and find something else to make your meal out of, hmm?" her left hand remained extended, while her right found the handle of her dagger, its ornately designed metal comforting and familiar to her touch.

Lillea gave a hiss of anger, and one could almost see a serpentine tongue flick from between her lips. She leaped forward, impossibly fast, and grabbed Cyrus' head, and pulled him roughly, but cleanly from the newly-made wound. The sinewy muscles in her bare arms flexed as she hurled him against the wall and stood over Dana, protecting the motionless girl.

Lillea narrowed her eyes, smiling as she heard the cuffs snap open by untraceable means. She shifted one leg back to stabilize herself as she crossed her arms and regarded him with a tilted head, "There were very few facts to be gathered, you were attempting to Feed from this woman, and she obviously did not want you to do so. I cannot see what else I would need to know." The concealed blade felt cool against her arm as she watched him under the shadow of her cap. She could almost taste his arrogance, odd for one so desperate and weak.

Lillea chuckled bitterly, "I do not judge you, vampire, for who am I to judge someone based on their race? I simply ask that you do not Feed in a public place, upon a woman who is obviously unwilling." A small smile played at the edge of her lips, "If you had hypnotized the girl, I might have turned a blind eye." One hand reached behind to tell Dana that she was not willing to accept assistance, and would not allow her to intervene.

Lillea could not help but laugh aloud, "No, I am no bounty hunter. I loathe them as much as you do...although I am hunted by a different sort." She shifted her weight to one hip, blocking the guns, and Dana, from view. "Your attempt at subject change was admirable, but I don't want to dance around the issue any longer. Will you leave the girl alone? Or will you attempt to find another meal? Either way, I don't particularly care, as Dana seems more than willing to deal with you herself, and I wouldn't mind healing that wound on her neck should you choose to pursue her. But, I am drawing attention to myself, and would prefer to sit down."

Lillea chuckled, "You are certainly an interesting character, one of the most amusing I've come across. But your suggestion is a reasonable one," She placed her hand on the wound, eyes closing momentarily as she stitched the skin and sinew together. The twin pinpricks disappeared, leaving only blood without a source. Her eyes opened, the brightness in her gaze unchanged, "You certainly did a number on her, I suppose I DID pull you out a bit early. However, you still haven't answered my question...will you continue to pursue her? Because now that she is perfectly capable of defending herself, I shall go about my business if you choose to. Frankly, I don't need to know your bout with the woman, I just can't stand seeing the helpless being pursued." Her eyes narrowed with unpleasant memories.

Lillea chuckled, "You won't have any trouble finding such a female, I assure you. But at any rate, I wish you luck in your hunt." She bowed slightly from the waist, hands at her sides, hinting at some sort of military training. "It was certainly a pleasure Cyrus, and I wish you luck with this one, although I don't think you'll have much trouble." She grinned and retreated to her seclusion, alone, and hidden once more.

Lillea stiffened at the sight of Kroger and his men, and quickly pulled the military cap low over her eyes. She cursed under her breath and wished she had found something else to wear, surely he would recognize her while she still wore the black sleeveless shirt, camo pants and heavy military-issue boots. It would be impossible to spot her. In her head she cursed her stupidity, but on the outside her face remained a calm, neutral mask, her fingers drumming on the table idly as she struggled to remain unnoticed.

Lillea shrank down in her seat, trying to avoid his calculating gaze. Her fingers continued to drum against the woodwork of her table, beating out an insistent, anxious rhythm. She wasn't sure if word of her had come to Kroger's ears, but she wasn't too hopeful, news traveled fast within the service.

Lillea gave an audible snort, Kroger wasn't a true officer. He was only a fool. Even after just a few minutes of watching him, she could see that he was the sort who didn't remotely care about his duty, or what he was fighting for. A disgrace. She could not reprimand him, however, how could she even think such things. What she had done was far worse than simply being an imbecile.

Lillea raised an eyebrow, "I'm not one to stereotype, I don't have that particular luxury. However, the fact that you are military makes me uneasy, but I shall keep my reasons to myself."She leaned back in the chair, propping her black, military-issue boots on the table, "But no, you aren't the first mercenary I've seen, however young I may appear."

Lillea crossed her bare, sinewy arms, "Contrary to what you might think, I HAVE heard of you, but I'm not one to run up to you, waving a gun I obviously don't know how to use, and spit out empty threats," she shrugged, "I was never one for theatrics."

Lillea laughed aloud, "I said I'd HEARD of you. Not that I was a part of your realm, although I have hidden there when it suited me. I won't make a fool of myself by guessing the names of your former service and son. Even if I was a part of your world, such trivial matters would not interest me." She knew that her attitude was bordering on insolent, but this pompous windbag did not frighten her in the least, much less command even the tiniest bit of respect from her.

Lillea hissed under her breath, and one could almost see the serpentine tongue flick from betwixt her teeth. His suggestion that she was even remotely military had angered her, although she knew that his suspicion was justified, after all, she hadn't exactly bowed gracefully and offered him the seat opposite her. "I will never become one of those 'stuck up military types' and if you even knew half of what I had suffered at their hands, you wouldn't even suggest such a thing. You would also understand my hostility towards you..." she murmured, loud enough for only Kroger to hear.
