"Ah..." she hesitated, quickly clearing a sudden bubble of bile from her throat. Had her accent peeked through? Did he notice something particular about the way her fatigues were designed (despite the many stains and tearing). Worse, had he caught a glimpse at her tags and remembered something? Another swallow of liquid courage instantly quieted the buzzing questions that rocketed against her skull.

She answered smoothly, with a chuckle thrown in for good measure, "I suppose I'm addicted to the taste of melting glass pouring down my throat. Nothing like burning your esophagus at five in the morning I always say."

She took a quick swig, a feigned look of serious contemplation furrowing her brow. One finger tapped against her chin as she handed the bottle back to him. "Hm...Well considering the drink's origin, or at the very least whom it's most associated with, I'd have to say it would best be likened to boiling leprechaun piss."

Her scholarly nod was ruined by the merriment that danced across her dark blue eyes, "Do you have any contradictions?"

One quick laugh punctured her drinking and she immediately leaned forward, elbows and forearms on the table. For once she was actually engaged in one of these damn conversations. "Alright, rum. Liquid cinnamon and paprika." She raised an eyebrow, her foot tapping anxiously under the table. Little habits always seemed to pop up when she got excited. Well as long as she didn't pull out a gun and start shooting, things should be just peachy.

A chuckle burbled up past her already thick tongue. "No it isn't, but I like it so much I may just have to accept it regardless." Sadly, she took the last shot from her bottle, unhappy with its now-empty state. With a sigh she chuckled it over her shoulder, not bothering to watch it shatter against the far wall. Somebody would clean that up.

"You know, it's been so long since I've played this game, I already can't think of any more liquor. It seems you've got me beat, dorogov."

"Hmm...that's a good question." She ran a hand through her hair, smiling broadly for the first time in ages. The haze that settled around her conscious was thicker than she remembered it being, and without much of a thought, she leaned forward and kissed him directly on the mouth. The fire of their combined liquors blended on their lips, and as she pulled away, impossibly thick smoke billowed from her nostrils.

She chuckled holding up a questioning hand that, curiously, held no cigarette. "Will that suffice as a prize?"

"Hah! Unlikely my good sir. I am more than adequate at many things." She attempted a flourishing bow, but seemed to have forgotten that they were sitting at a table. Her forehead bonked promptly into the wood, though to her credit she immediately sat up as though nothing was wrong. Her words were becoming looser, and the slightest lilt was becoming present in her speech, but neither seemed important to her.

Damn he looked good while he was blushing.

She grinned, sensing the air of ease that now drifted between him. "Kissing strangers." Her eyebrows waggled and she stuck out her tongue, a curiously immature gesture for her, but with booze in her system it wasn't all that uncommon.

She chuckled, not missing the look but also not quite minding it. "Could have fooled me."

Bones cracked as she rolled her shoulders and neck, her hand reflexively going up to feel the scars that permanently tattooed her skin. "You could say that. I've fought for as long as I can remember, and I have a hard time recalling the last time I lost."

Almost jokingly, she made a point to eye him up as well, though her attempt at mockery did elicit some pleasing sights. "I'm fast."

"I'd like that. I haven't tangled with anyone in way too long." She smiled wondering exactly where all of this flirtatious prowess was coming from. It wasn't too long ago that she'd have gnawed off his limbs at the mere suggestion of conversation, but now...

Her eyes flickered over him as she leaned forward again, studying each angle and swoop of his face. "I think I'm getting to be rather fond of you. Been a while since I didn't want to disembowel whoever I was talking to." Indeed it had, and now that the feeling was absent she could see just how easy it was to be without it. Something about their dance of conversation was oh so deliciously inviting, their mutual humor and interests blending anxiously into each other like two cats in heat. She shivered a bit before she spoke again, her rich tenor husked by the slightly guttural sound of her accent.

"And I don't think I'd mind spending quite a bit of time with you, or even running into you again."

She, however, did hesitate. Not for lack of wanting, but for utter shock. Never before had she been propositioned so blatantly, or really even at all, especially after such a short period of time. For a moment, she sat speechless, fingers still hovering over the skin of her wrist and mouth slightly agape before she quickly recollected her thoughts. Why not?

Her eyelids half-lowered and her tone dropped down to a dangerously quiet whisper. Each word dropped over the air like newly-cooked molasses, and each one was twice as sweet as the last. "You know, I believe I'm rather proficient in that skill as well." The smile of a vixen replaced her usual look of quiet intimidation, pheromones oozing shamelessly from her pores. Oh yes, this was indeed a wonderful night to be alive.

"We shall," she murmured, rising from her seat with a shift of fabric and another merry tinkle from the metal round her neck. Her coat remained unwanted and lying sadly against the floor, its warmth unneeded from the heat that pulsed rampantly over her pores. Lips pursed as she strained to keep from dragging him out by his hair, and muscles in her arms flexed to hold them from tearing away whatever clothes kept her body from his.

Stiffly, and a bit quicker than usual, she headed towards the door, casting a look over his shoulder. "You might want to keep up, as I haven't the faintest idea where we're going."

Lillea stalked through the door after Declan, looking very much like a cat who'd been drowned in a bathtub. She scowled beneath her dripping, copper-colored hair, swiping angrily at the rivulets of water running down her arms in a vain attempt to dry herself. Steam rose from her skin as she dropped into her favorite chair by the window, muttering darkly under her breath.

"Damn rain. Couldn't be bothered to wait until I got inside, ohhh no. Had to come pouring down the second I stepped foot out of the woods." She drew her knees to her chest, the water-laden military fatigues squelching wetly against her black tank top. She absolutely hated being wet.

A fire. Thank God she wasn't the only one who wanted one. Carefully, Lillea stood and edged her way to the hearth, sitting herself unnaturally close to the blaze. Her eyes slipped closed in contentment as warmth prickled against her skin and her clothes slowly began to relinquish the wetness. She reached up and tousled one hand through her hair, shaking the remaining droplets free from the fiery strands.

"I've always wondered how convenient it would be to have any ability to change the weather. I saw someone with that once and all I could think about was stopping the rain before it ended up soaking me through." Her own voice was surprisingly musical and sweet despite her gruff appearance. The only thing marring it was the barest hint of a Russian accent. Lillea reached down and began unlacing her worn combat boots, dropping them on the stones beside her once they'd been freed. "Lillea."

Lillea snatched the bag deftly from the air, feeling a strange satisfaction at the weight that plopped into her palm. She bounced it from one hand to the other for a moment before she pulled herself into a standing position and padded over to the counter. Being that she was rather small, she had to hop onto one of the stools and lean over it to make the order. A beer for him, a cup of vodka for her, and...huh. What for the pirate? She glanced over at him, chewing on her lip for a moment before she decided on rum. Pirates drank rum, didn't they?

Balancing the three drinks in her hands and carrying the bag in her mouth, she made her way back to the hearth. First she went to the pirate, handing him his drink, and then to Declan. She opened her mouth to drop the coin purse into his lap and reached over to hand him his drink, multitudes of scars that ran up and down her arms flashing in the low light. Lowering herself back to the floor, she sprawled out her legs and let out a sigh, raising her drink, "To whoever controls the weather. May the next year be swallowed in drought."

Lillea shrugged, "Wouldn't be the first time someone's stripped down in here. At least you've got a good reason for it." She gave him a wide, friendly grin at his mention of the coin purse. It seemed he was having something of a tough time, and she wasn't belligerent enough to make his mood worse. Besides, he'd bought her a drink, so he deserved a little taste of her extremely rare politeness.

She took a long drink from the glass, making the syrupy fluid look more like water than liquor. It had definitely been too long since she'd had herself a proper drink.

Lillea waved away the coins. She'd been completely drunk here more times than she could count, and didn't really relish the thought of passing out in some dank corner again. "I'm fine thanks." With a sigh she put down the glass and leaned back on her arms. Strands of hair fell away from her face, revealing a somewhat nasty bruise that shadowed her cheekbone.

But this was not the worst of it. Now that her fatigues had dried, there was nothing washing away the slowly spreading stain on her left thigh. The scarlet darkened the mottled green, and Lillea casually reached down to touch it, her fingers coming away wet. "Hm..."

At both their offers she flinched visibly, pressing herself against the fireplace's frame with a somewhat nervous smile. She raised one hand and pulled the fabric away from her leg in an attempt to hide the bleeding. "No it's really nothing. I think I just got a scratch when I was fumbling my way through the woods."

She chuckled tightly, the pain could easily be ignored, and she didn't trust any sort of medical attention. Especially not from anyone who claimed to be a "healer of sorts". Reflexively she reached up and touched her broken dog tags, the metal clinking quietly, "I've been known to tough my way through a scratch or two."

So this was Gambit's Bar? The young man thought as the door swung shut behind him. Smelled like infamy.

It wasn't like where he was from. It literally smelled nothing like anything he'd ever smelled before. He tried his best not to wrinkle his nose or look at his phone, opting to adjust his sandy hair instead. Nonchalant and stuff, despite all the unsettling creatures about.

They had warned him about Wing City, but he had to see it for himself. It was the hub of war right now on Terra, hot all over the media, and it was still one of the only places you could fudge and ID and get a drink at his age. So here goes.

Just like everyone had said, but he couldn't help but look sideways at the panda. They didn't even have pandas where he was from, except the one that was in the newspaper that one time that washed ashore...Dead.

At least it was high tech. He grabbed a seat closer to the corner of the counter where he could observe effectively. Ah look, that kid looks normal! Taking out his phone, he pretended to text, secretly watching through a video enabler on the device. Dressed snazzy, what's he-milkshake?

-BOOM
What sounded like an explosion outside shook the exterior wall of bar. He dropped his phone onto the table, it clattered. A Taiyou bombing?
