Manehkin Pulsh

The younger sister of the Pulsh siblings, she is able to inherently control the magic that brought her to life. She is endowed with incredible endurance, powerful spells, and a few secrets.

0 · 190 views · located in The Infinite Void

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by ClockworkTowers

Description

Manehkin is, well, a mannequin. As such, she is able to showcase various clothing designs. Her default outfit at a standard is a horizontally striped lavender and mauve bodysuit, and it is a very durable and flexible one. It is a second skin of sorts, and serves as undergarments too.

On top of this, her sleeveless battle dress she normally wears is one made of a protective enchanted alloy capable of warding some attacks back at their deliverer. The main portion of the dress is decorated in a black and titanium colored diamond pattern, with several large center-less diamond shapes composed of white stripes and mauve trim lines. Small hot pink "X"s are at connection points. The very lowest portion of the dress is unarmored, and is a hot pink color with a light frill pattern.

A large hot pink "X" accessory holds a small mantle and collar in place around her neck and shoulders, and is accented with more small hot pink "X"s at connecting points. Her gloves are a hot pink as well, and sport small black "X"s just below the wrist as a design. Lastly, around her neck, several strings hang and wrap around, with various more hot pink and black "X"s, all small in size, hanging. Her shoes are black flats, and each have a hot pink "X" on them.

Her face is mostly normal, if relatively unmoving and slightly more pale, but her eyes, also hot pink, give rise to a secret of some sort. Even her skin seems "off". Her pink hair is kept short in a partial bob, with one braid worked through it across her hair that hangs to the left side past her shoulder, tucked just behind her ear. She wears glasses, but shouldn't be taken too lightly.

She apparently stands 5'8", and is of unknown weight. She doesn't give out any specifics regarding anything else.

Title: Magical Mannequin
Manehkin's is kept alive with a powerful magic that imbues her now. This same magic also amplified her sturdiness as a mannequin, granting her immense resistance to a great deal of things. She can channel this magic for a variety of purposes, such as reverting to her "true" form, or supporting friendlies.

Personality

Upper-class to a defined standard, she speaks properly and disdains this "slang speech" used nowadays. She also dislikes poor public behavior, whether overly excessive PDA, or acting rather combative, without regards to safety of oneself and others. She tends to intervene when conflict arises, but reserves her opinions unless she deems it needed to get her point across. Appears to have been a straight "A" student in her studies, back in her past, and developed her observation and wit after acquiring glasses.

Equipment

Umbrella: Parrysol
Manehkin's umbrella, black with a frill trim, seems relatively ordinary, but is a decent artifact that allows Manehkin to channel the magic that imbues her. Additionally, it has a rather unique enchantment that allows it to, when fully opened, block one incoming attack, regardless of said attack's source, type, or power. However, this effect cannot be used in rapid succession. The umbrella is also incredibly hard to destroy.

Signature Spells
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Spell: Crash Test
Manehkin has the center-less diamonds on her battle dress become filled with yellow and black bulls-eye targets before she charges with lightning speed at a target of her choosing, holding her Umbrella in front of her. She ignores any collision with other units, passing through them as if they were not there. Upon collision with her chosen target, she attempts to knock them down, forcing an engagement with her. The bulls-eye targets disappear once either she or her target disengage, allowing her to cast this spell again.

Spell: Cabbage Patch
Manehkin summons forth faux cabbage leaves to temporarily patch most wounds (or repair herself), and shield allies or herself from attacks. If cast on an enemy, the cabbage leaves weigh them down immensely and make them feel extremely tired temporarily. The effect lasts a short time, and cannot be simultaneously affecting both an ally and an enemy at the same time.

Spell: Magical Mannequin
Manehkin channels the magic that imbues her to temporarily assumes the form of an immobile mannequin that is extremely resistant to incoming attacks, simultaneously generating a large-scale magical aura that makes her stationary form an inviting target to enemies nearby, attempting to convince them into attacking her with enticing imagery of a vulnerable target. When the channel period ends, a burst of magic surges forth around her, possibly knocking down those enemies caught within. Anyone who attacked her during her state of immobilization additionally suffers wounding equivalent to what they tried to do to her during her channeling.

History

There was once a poor tailor shop owner who decided to build his stand near The Descent Into Madness. His detractors and friends called him crazy, but he assured them it was for the best. His goal was to create clothing and armor that was enchanted with magical energy. The latent energy leeching from the Descent was all he needed for this.

It did turn out however that over time, his Mannequins would mysteriously vanish. He spent lots of funds on replacing them, only for them to vanish more. Frustrated at this, he yelled out a curse on the location he was near, and the Descent responded to his call. He was suddenly struck down by a powerful magical force. As he parted, he managed to touch his last Mannequin, one who had his best outfit tailored on it.

The magic drew the life out of the man, as it rushed into the Mannequin, and then it was done. Manehkin looked around steadily and noticed the deceased man. She did what was needed to take pity on him, but soon left him to figure out why she was spawned here, and what could come of it. She now wanders aimlessly, and offers her services as a Mercenary, using the magic that created her to provide a solid defense to anyone needing it.

So begins...

Manehkin Pulsh did not say anything further, and toyed with her ordinary looking umbrella that was closed neatly on the bar counter. She'd intervene only if needed. She was capable of probably fending against anyone in the bar at the moment to decent effect.

Manehkin Pulsh stood up and picked up her umbrella before turning towards the door that Bladewolf exited from. She did not move yet however. Merely look with the same gaze she's had since a while ago. One of neutrality. She awaited to move with a solemn sigh.

Manehkin Pulsh immediately had her armored dress acquire several yellow and black bulls-eye patterns within the hollow white diamond patterns as she glowed blue. Within the next two seconds, she dashed forwards through all the tables and doors in her way as she stopped in front of Bladewolf, engaging the wolf in combat, blocking off it's access to him.

Manehkin charged in with such speed and effect that nothing she passed through was moved or damaged. Upon her appearance, she stunned the wolf enough that it focused on trying to attack her through her armored dress.

You fool...

She did chase off the wolf with her umbrella, taking no damage whatsoever. With that done, she returned into the bar and figured how she'd call for emergency medical services.

She lacked a phone, and did not know where one was located in here.

Manehkin Pulsh noticed him wake up and was about to tell him to get himself to the local hospital, but then noticed he passed out again. So much for attack and defense training.

Still had no way to call for medical services, and requested to one of the robots in the establishment serving to do so for her, which they did.

Following this, she took her seat again as the bulls-eye patterns vanished.

Manehkin Pulsh seemed impressed that the robot completely heeded her orders and instead of calling emergency services, fixed the wound on its own...to a terrible degree. Seeing as that didn't work, she tried telling it again to call emergency services.

This time, Manehkin did not move, and the robot called emergency services.

Within minutes, the emergency personal would ferry Bladewolf to a hospital located, well, outside of the bar.

She herself kept an eye on the fight, but did nothing otherwise.

Manehkin Pulsh was. She was somewhat astonished again at how he was back despite having lost a shoulder not but ten minutes ago. As a result, she played reserved again. There was something severely off.

Manehkin Pulsh sighed and quipped with as sarcastic a voice as possible,
Am I? I suppose. It's important to know.

Manehkin Pulsh had to intervene here.
Impossible. Werewolves kill with their bites. If you're one of the few lucky to survive at least a week of agony, you become one yourself. Next explanation?

Manehkin Pulsh shook her head.
Impossible again. You were bit ten minutes ago. Notice I said, week of agony? Or did you miss that part?

Manehkin Pulsh turned her attention to the one they called Johnny. Quiet steps belied his true nature, but there was something else to him. He was different. When the loudmouthed Majesty started screaming for him to join her, she became even more intrigued.

She did give an answer to Bladewolf with another sigh.
Common knowledge? Hello? Everyone knows that. You should be looking to fill your guide with stuff no one knows. Not to mention there are different varieties of werewolves.

Suit? What suit?

Manehkin Pulsh laughed.
That is no suit. It's what some call a "spell". That one is used in particular to defend distant targets by allowing me to immediately engage their assailant. The umbrella is that. An umbrella. Lastly, this dress is a reinforced dress. Is there something odd with it?

And you're welcome I suppose. Although you should've been able to defend yourself against a small easy wolf.

Manehkin Pulsh commented again.
Seemed like one, and for your skills of attack and defense that makes you not a pushover, you didn't display any of that prowess back there.

Manehkin Pulsh once more stood up and grabbed her umbrella in hand, readying a motion to open it. Her dress once more adopted bulls-eye patterns, yellow and black, making her appearance become more like one of those crash test dummies in a way as a blue glow surrounded her entire being.

Manehkin Pulsh was waiting to charge forth in her spell she used earlier. Redirecting aggression was her job with it. When her moment was seen, she charged.

Immediately, she got in front of Korlynn, taking the swipe with no real effect against her as she stared down Bladewolf, her umbrella ready.
Enough!

The bulls-eye markings on Manehkin's dress dissipated as Bladewolf broke combat with her. She put her umbrella to her side instead now, watching as she returned to her stool and sat down once more.

Manehkin Pulsh was sitting in the stool next to Sori, and took note of the man.
Aren't you tuckered? It is rude however to lay your head on the counter in such a brash manner.
