The guy came to sit beside her, looking at the sketch. He raised his eyebrows. Oh! That felt nice! And nodded. "That's nice," he said, eyes scanning over it. He had a big surprise for her. "If I draw? Well...not exactly. But I do like to think of myself as an artist. I do create things, after all, Lexi." he said, elbows on his knees.

"And stop acting like you don't know me. We aren't strangers, you know!"

The guy shrugged. "Oh, sit back down! I'm not gonna do anything! I'm in a physical body!" he said, patting the seat next to him. "And I don't lie. I can trick people by making illusions instead. It's harder to lie. Breaks the code. And I want to talk, so sit back down, wont you?" he asked, eyes almost pleading.

"I want to talk about him."

"Well, I cannot literally make a person made for another person. I had to completely remake him. He had to make himself after that. I defined events in his life. That shaped who he is now. I cannot do anything to you that effects him. I am not allowed to interfere anymore. Do what you will." he told her, giving her a wink. "It's up to what the real world wants, now." he said.

"What do you think of the new look?"

"Yes, well, it was an annoyance taking them off, then putting them back in, and sleeping with them on the pillow if I left them in, and..." He shook his head. "What am I saying? Maybe staying in a human body too long is beginning to make me care." The boy folded his legs up into the seat.

"So, what, don't wanna slap me? Push me over? Spit in my face? Kill me? Anything other than the above? I'm actually quite surprised."

"An angel. Well, doesn't that remind me of someone we know..." he said, a purr in his voice. He had been a cat for the longest time. It had not left him completely. He leaned back, putting his hands behind his head. "Does it bother me? No, I don't suppose so." He peered at her. "Should it?"

The boy shook his head. "But I find making someone angry while you have a physical body isn't the best choice you can make. Oh, but I did let Senzei think he saw an angel. A naked one. It was amusing."

"Who else can I be?" he asked with a grin. "Someone like that is entirely too fun to mess with! He is possibly the most gullible man I have ever known!" he protested, clearly proud of himself. "And you should have seen his face. Red as a cherry! He was trying not to look. He really was. But he must have thought it was a sin to look away from an angel, because he looked right into her face and tried so hard not to look down!" he announced.

"Men will be men, I suppose. As I am now. You actually do not look so bad in this man's eyes."

"If I had shame, I would not have any fun." And what truth it was. "I'm not done with him. I'm actually having him bless undead bodies for me. That's why I'm letting him see her. It's bait. Oh! But don't tell him yet! He'll get mad and won't do it, then!" he said, hands to his mouth.

"I'll give him back after!"

The skeleton man would not have to go far. Something had been waiting outside, listening the whole time. One of the bodies that had been found in the meat locker by John was hanging from the second floor of Gambit's. It was a completely pale human body, hanging from its spine by a hook that was used to hang cow meat from. All for its raised head, it was limp. Above it, something crawled out of the window. Six legs pulled it out, spiderlike and thin. Following was what would at first seem to be a human body, but with a toothy smile that did not end until it split at its ears. For arms, it had blades. Like a praying mantis.

It scuttered down the wall silently after Desiderio. Another, atop a little shop up ahead, jumped from the roof down onto John, legs outstretched to slow the fall.

The creatures were quick. A grotesque stitchling, they were, and they worked those many legs like experts. However, John was that much quicker. Right as the one that had leaped from the building landed, John had gone. Right as the one reached out to swipe at the skeleton to cut him in half, John had already swung him out of the way. The creatures, not altogether smart, tried to run after their first intended targets, and almost ended up smashing into one another.

Someone from an alleyway yelled out, but it was like a tribal cry. From the shadows of the buildings, people rushed out. Every single one pale, every single one savages.

The creatures reared up again, one flicking its bioluminescent tail forward to wrap around John. It glowed in the night, brightly standing out in the darkness. The other reached out for Desiderio. It did not care how much meat it had. It moved, and that was good enough.

The savage zombies came forth with blades or spears in their hands, roughly made with bits of concrete and poles they could find in the city, or else at the edge of the forest. They would try to circle around the two. To trap them.

As the hat connected with the creature, it flew through the air, screeching as it did. The other, however, had caught John, and brought it towards its powerful mandibles slowly. It heavily salivated, and goo tapped onto the ground as the detached its jaw so it would have enough mouth space to shove the human body down its throat.

The savages? About twenty closed in, swarming like bees around Desiderio, reaching to take apart his bones an clothes and scatter them about the street.

A few people who had been left on the street were picked off, all succumbing to the swarm of undead abominations.

The monster screeched, sounding like the wails of a poor maiden with the octave turned up too high. It retreated, then flicked its tail forth- the last frozen, stumpy bit- to try and bash John in the chest with it.

The zombie that had been punched fell to the ground, but tried to get up again. Several lurched at Desiderio...

...but the first to reach him was not a zombie at all. It was the elven barmaid. She attempted to wrap her arms around the skeleton, and, with a "Hold on!" she wold try to teleport him to the top of Gambit's roof.

"We're...on a roof! Don't move!" she said, then jumping from the roof. Fedelia had had this power for a while, so, naturally, she knew how to use it in unique ways. At the moment, she could create four portals at one time. One, she created below her, and in front of John. She fell into the portal, going quickly, and if all went well, she would smash into John, arms wrapping around him before they fell into another portal that would toss them onto the same roof with the skeleton man.

"Regroup!" she cried out.

The foot of one of the abominations stomped right in front of him, causing the man to stumble back. Oh, dear, oh, dear. He was so used to an easy escape in an ethereal body. He was not used to fear.

The second that had his leg blown off paused and dipped for a moment. Only white meat flew off, and the leg hung onto the body by a few strings of flesh. It kept walking, oblivious to the pain, though it had a limp. The one after Rick stuck out its neck, trying to sink teeth into his skin. He would not get away so easily!

Meanwhile, as Felix tried to kill the zombie girl, the abomination with the limp, who had caught up, would grab him, with human hands, by his shirt and fling him into Rick before he had a chance to kill the girl. Hopefully, it would work.

Mo widened his eyes. That girl was important to them. Why? They needed to capture her somehow, before she got up. What if she knew something? If she could talk?

"Don't kill her!" he cried, running toward the limper recklessly. He cast his hands skyward toward the beast just as it targeted him. Suddenly, it stopped, frozen in place, and began to retreat slowly. A trick of the mind was not hard to achieve.

...well, this did not quite go as planned. Mo had not expected Senzei so soon, but he was not complaining. The spirit backed away, dismissing the angel's image so that he could focus properly. He was expelling too much energy, a new concept of his power usage that he found holding him back in a physical body. He let out a gasp of air that he had been holding back, looking at the great dome that surrounded them.

"Ah...well, then. Felix! Rick! Stand back!" Mo called, hands clenching into fists at his side. What was going on? What was he even doing? He trotted around the dome to meet both men, eyes scanning the shield.

Within, the creatures, including the girl, began to writhe and screech. Holy magic. Though they seemed to be abominations made in a mad scientist's hands, it seemed that the magic still had ill effect on them.

"Interesting."

The creatures made one last attempt for Senzei, crawling towards him with whatever they had left, but the abominations could barely even grovel at his feet for all it had. The zombie girl was on her feet one moment, then on the ground the next.

Mo would try to beat his fists on the shield. "Senzei! Put the shield down!" he cried. The spirit cursed, looking to Rick and Felix. "The guy might just be killing the best lead we have! I can't do anything!"

The spirit looked back into the shield, contemplating. What was going on in that man's head?

The monastery was deserted. At least, that's what it looked like from the outside. It was also very large. There was a dungeon, a staircase to an upstairs portion, and much more. There were probably secret rooms, as well. It was more like a castle than anything.

The anthropophagus, once let go, would lead John here. Right outside of it. What was inside? Well, only investigation would tell.

Someone came silently next to John, and his presence would have been familiar to the man. Mo put his hands in his pockets, looking down at the building. "Spooky." he said, looking for any lights in the dark windows. There was one. It was a very small light. It was blue. Both of them probably knew what it was. The little creature tried to go toward it, but was cut off. Literally.

"So we're both going in there. Funny how we finally found one of the bases. You understand the risks, right?"

"Well, I'm not so sure how many they'll have. What kind of evil genius will only have one base? Only makes sense," said Mo, walking down the way to the monastery. "Jump through the window? Not quite my style, but I'll be able to muffle the sound fine. How about you go first, friend?" said Mo, grinning.

Of course John would be going first. Of course. "And also, I'm not very fluent in Earth languages. Mind telling me what you said, there?"

Mo walked in with John, looking around just as much. A clarity was brought to the scene before them. Something Mo found useful. He was making everything seem sharper for their own sake. The monastery was dimly lit, though there were torches. As soon as Mo was about to approach one, the whole building lit up, torches ablaze. Mo stepped back.

"I did not do that." he said, holding up his arms. He looked toward the entrance to the dungeons. There was faint screaming, barely audible, coming from the hallways below. Mo raised a brow. "So. The creepy light above or the torturous screaming from below?"
