Orlando Leazule's Story

The outline of a door quickly drew itself in the air between the ship and the Princess's party. Through stepped a young man, palms glowing blue, his cape a shifting white void over an equally stark ao dai. At his heels pawed two panthers shimmering like sapphires. The door shut and was suddenly gone. The dust and debris settled around them.

The young man assessed the ship with shrewd eyes, the panthers growing until the top of his head barely breached their shoulder. They sat on either side of him, protecting those behind them and, coincidentally enough, the Pho food truck. One of the panthers sniffed the air. The smell of pho was starting to return over the smell of disturbed earth.

In the distance the sun descended beyond the treeline. A blue glow was cast across the lands. What glowing hearts had not been destroyed cast a contrasting red hue. The result was surreal lighting throughout the entire Yard.

A hissing sound came from the Kyber as it's exit ramp lowered. A puff of steam appeared and from it walked a lone figure. She wore a black hooded Jedi robe. he pale face was hidden by her hood as she made her way down the ramp. Anyone that could sense power would feel it flowing from this young woman. On her back was a black short staff that was made of metal her Lightsaber and the only weapon she carried. she looked to the startled crowd but was speechless for the moment as she took everything in and reached out with the force to sense what was going on around her.

The panthers sensed the power, as well as the force extending out to them, a low growl escaping their throat. The palms of the young man grew brighter. Beneath his clothes blue glowing veins shot up his arms, weaving intricate patterns across his skin, over his shoulders.

A blue ring of fire, less than a foot high, erupted from the ground to form a ring around the ship and the black hooded figure. The fire itself wasn't what was to be feared. One of the panthers drew itself to a full stand, towering over the young man with the glowing hands. It stood over his head and watched.

Lei Wufang stopped walking, her glasses dropping from the ridge of her nose as she pushed them down to get a better sight. Some huge, vessel was blocking out her sunlight, interrupting her pleasant walk through the park.

Oh boy, more offworlders?

she sighed, not looking forward to the inevitable trouble they always brought along. This time she'd not get distracted, but rather set out to mingle with the crowd.

Relina raised a brow at the fire. Part of her told her to grab her lightsaber but she pushed that thought back. Instead she pulled back her hood revealing her black hair which had a braid in the style of a Jedi woven in. her face was covered in tattoos. She looked over the crowd.

"Um... Hi... guess i don't really know the landing laws here... I'm Relina... a uh was.. um can you even understand me?" she spoke in galactic common.

The man with the glowing hands approached the edge of the fire ring and looked Relina up and down. He could understand her fine with the babel in his ear. There were pressing concerns. For one, how did someone who fared through space not recognize proper landing facilities? Yungseong Yard was hardly a feature of Freeport, and nowhere near a fraction as large as the landing pads at the cosmodrome.

There were many questions to be asked. The young man wasn't so qualified to ask most of them. The panther leaned forward and took a sniff at the ring of fire, not daring to get too close. It was very much the marking of the edge of a containment force-field. The young man continued to assess the craft and Relina. She was armed. She didn't seem to present an immediate threat, but none could ignore the fact that someone could have been killed. The tattoos could be a sign of sinister activity. One could never truly tell with tattoos unless you knew what to look for, and he certainly didn't.

"Correct. I can understand you," the young man said in carefully pronounced common, "Despite your ignorance I must place you under custody. You shall appear before the King. Relina, you said your name was? From where do you hail?"

He didn't smile, but he didn't deliver the words maliciously. It wasn't up to him to judge the literal party-crasher. The Yard had been secured, the threat reduced. The panther sat back on it's haunches and licked a paw. It kept it's eyes on Relina.

Relina frowned, being arrested was not in her plan for the day. Or any day. She looked the glowing man in the eyes. "Listen... this is just a big misunderstanding." Relina started.

Relina staring into the man's eyes and with a little wave of her hand attempted a mind trick on the man. "You do not need to put me in custody.. I am of no threat. You wish to help me and tell me where to land and let me join you in peace."

The young man shook his head and broke eye contact. If she was trying any persuasion tricks, it wouldn't work with the barrier in place. The panther looked up from licking it's paw and flattened it's ears. Yes, her powers were certainly refined to a degree.

"Misunderstanding or not, there are questions to be answered," The young man looked Relina squarely in the eyes again, "Your ship will be safely transported to the Cosmodrome, and will not be board without your presence and permission. You may not be one of us, but so long as you are here you are a Freeman. Even Freemen have to answer to the King when the lives of their brothers in Freedom have been threatened."

The young man waved a hand again. Just beyond the fire and barrier another door drew into the air. He was trying his best to make short and easy work of delivering Relina before the King. Besides, there were questions he had for Relina himself.

Relina sighed she would have to work on her mind trick more it seems. "Fine... I will come and answer your questions... But the Kyber better not get a mark on her... she's my baby... and my home..."

Without another word she put back up her hood and moved to follow the man. She readied herself mentally for a fight though just in case.

The young man nodded to show the vehicle would be safe. He shot a glance back to Criston, knowing the other Free Knight would handle things from here until more backup arrived. The blue flames and barrier disappeared as he moved through the door in the air. The two panthers slowly shrunk back to their normal size as they waited for Relina to go through before following their conjurer.

Shortly after a group of militia men arrived on the scene. They surrounded the ship and did a lot of discussing about how exactly to move the thing. In the end airlifting it was decided to be the safest route. The group milled about close to the ship, both keeping bystanders away and looking it up and down themselves.

The young man nodded his head. The King exhaled with relief, lacing his fingers behind his head and falling back onto the throne. He closed his eyes for a moment and basked in the good news. Then, his eyes flew open. He took a deep breath in and let it out in a huff, bringing either arm to rest on the throne. He leaned forward a bit and regarded the woman with a hard stare, eyes half a squint.

Relina took a seat on the floor of the room sitting with her legs crossed almost as if in meditation. She was silent as the knight or whatever he was told the King who she was. They hadn't taken her lightsaber which was both foolish and smart of them.. she feared what her anger would do if they tried to disarm her....

"Yes that is my name... And yes I have used a spaceport before... but not on this planet... In fact i do not even know what planet this is. i saw a group of people and decided to ask them for info..." Relina said then paused and looked to the King. "I guess we know how that went..."
