Pyotr Vasilyev

A sharp witted premier danseur who is very aware of his looks. Having lost his place in the Bolshoi company due to recurrent shin splints, he chose to scorn the ballet alltogether rather than settle for a lower place.

Description

Verging on six foot in height with a compact build, though strong enough to confidently lift and carry a partner. Dark hair and eyes with fine facial features, there is a reason he is a principal dancer beyond his ability.

Personality

Sharp witted and sharper tongued, with a very distinct temper. He doesn't suffer fools, or people who complain but never do anything. While he can be fun, and is certainly not shy in company, an adverse reaction to him tends to garner a poisonous response.

History

With both parents involved in ballet, it was impossible for Pyotr to avoid it. He trained with his parents, both members of the Kirov Ballet, from the age of four til the age of ten, where he was pushed to audition for a place at the Vaganova Ballet Academy which he acheived.

After training in the Academy for eight years, he was offered a place in his parents' troupe, but turned it down in favour of a position in the Bolshoi ballet. Upon taking up this position, he broke contact with his parents, coveting a grudge against them for his strict upbringing and their insistence he take up ballet, despite the obvious success of his training.

After five years dancing with the Bolshoi, Pyotr was promoted to principal, but lasted barely a season after being beset by recurrent shin splints. Out for over half a year, he lost his position and chose to leave the Bolshoi rather than return as a soloist.
