Raiivyn's Story
Raiivyn hissed angrily, hair standing up on end like that of an angered cat. The demon pounced with claws extended towards the vampire Parson, intent on separating him from Beth.
"What have you done?! You've hurt her! You've killed her! Just like you kill everything! Animals and insects and stuff was horrible, but now you've killed Beth!" Raiivyn clawed viciously at Parson's face.

Raiivyn was, being a demon, no pushover as far as nine year old kids went. Reflexes like a cat (but he wasn't a cat. And if you called him kitty he would hurt you. Unless you were Beth) allowed him to duck away from Parson's push and draw his claws across the vampire's face, leaving vicious scratch marks over his features.
Raiivyn hissed, launching himself bodily at Parson now that Beth was no longer in his grip. He paid absolutely no attention to Sanina, barely seeming aware she was there at all.

"You don't deserve to see anything. You don't deserve to be near her." Raiivyn scoffed mockingly even with Parson's hand around his neck.
The demon then seemed to fade, becoming insubstantial, before phasing out completely and passing through Parson's hand. "I hope you live a long and miserable existence. Alone." he hissed, before turning and scrambling after Sanina. Parson could wait.

The setting changes from Gambit's Bar to Gambit's Hotel, 4th Floor
Raiivyn entered the room warily, glancing about at the macabre surroundings with discomfort. This was clearly not the most child-friendly atmosphere. The dead child in a crib was just the icing on the cake.
Raiivyn didn't say a word, just took a seat near to Bethany moodily. He sat and waited. He didn't know this woman, but she was going to fix Beth. She was.

Raiivyn scrambled to his feet, nodding simply. With a set, determined grimace the demon hurried around to the side of the bed where he could see the bite wounds. They weren't too bad, as far as wounds went, but they were in an artery and could prove fatal if left.
Not that Raiivyn knew that. He just saw two large puncture marks and a helluva lot of blood. Two and two together was easy enough from that point. With a slash of his claws, he tore shreds off of the bedsheet, and set about binding the wounds up to stem the bloodloss.
"She'll be okay, won't she?" he asked quietly after a moment.

Raiivyn nodded and resumed his silent seat beside the bed, waiting. Beth would be okay. This lady would make it better.
Raiivyn had at some point along the way, fallen asleep. And, coincidentally, become a cushion at the same time. Which sometimes happened.

The cushion stirred, however, when Bethany woke, and its tassels seemed to become alert. "Beth? Beth!" it exclaimed, shifting back into Raiivyn's natural form. And, having been positioned on the edge of the bed, the demon child promptly fell on the floor.

Raiivyn nodded. "Yeah.. uh, Parson.. um..."
Raiivyn frowned. He wanted to expose Parson as an asshole and a psycopath. But Beth trusted him implicitly.
The demon child decided that he would let the adult deal with this. "Uhm..."

Raiivyn smiled at Beth. "I am not a kitty." he informed her, with very little seriousness. "But I guess I have to accept that I am fluffy."
Raiivyn sighed. "Are you okay, Beth?" he asked, frowning slightly.

Raiivyn nodded to Sanina, pointedly ignoring Parson and any chance that she might have been addressing the vampire. "I'll be right back." he said quietly, hopping off the bed, and phasing straight down through the floor.
About half a minute later, Raiivyn rose back out of the floor with an armful of food - fruit, sandwiches and other such items he had raided from the kitchen.
"Here y' go Beth. You should eat something." he said, proffering the food.

"You just ruined the life of a little girl and I'm the jerk? Now she'll have to deal with it too. She'll have to do what you do." Raiivyn glared darkly at the vampire boy.
"You're not even a jerk, Parson. You're just... bad. There's not even a good word for it. You're bad on the inside."

"You forced a little girl into a life of biting into people's flesh and drinking their blood. Little girls have nightmares when they watch horror movies. Now, let's think what happens when their whole life turns into a horror movie? Doesn't seem very enjoyable, does it."
Raiivyn continued to glare at Parson. "Your 'Nina' keeps a dead baby in the cot in the corner. Not the most average standards of 'bad' in all the world..."

"Drinking blood still isn't a very enjoyable thing, I would think." barely blinking, Raiivyn's expression hardly seemed to alter. "I certainly wouldn't enjoy it."
The demon boy let out a breath. "How am I being a jerk, Parson? Let's not forget who drank who's blood here."

Raiivyn's expression remained blank, resigned. There wasn't any going back from this point. Beth had to drink the blood. "You're broken, because you don't care. You don't care about all the things you kill. You don't care about all the death around you. And you're broken because you try to pretend you don't care about what you've done to Beth."
The demon boy smiled darkly. "Because you didn't think, did you? It could have easily ended up like all those little animals... Except this time, you might have cared. I wonder how long it is before you stop caring at all. Before you're completely broken."
Raiivyn shrugged, hopping down from his seat. "Have fun lying to the only person you care about... for now." he said, before walking in the direction of the door.

Raiivyn paused just by the doorway, and turned back to face Beth as she ran over. The demon sighed lightly and hugged the younger girl, patting her gently on the head.
"It's okay, Beth. I'm not gonna be far. Not at all." He smiled faintly, "But if you really want me to stay, I guess I can... If Parson can put up with me."
Raiivyn shot Parson a glare, suggesting something along the lines of 'I hate you, you hate me, but let's finish hating each other some other time'.

Raiivyn nodded simply, and decided that the best tactic for the duration of the stay would be to ignore Parson as totally as was possible.
"C'mon, Beth. You oughta get back into bed, you gotta rest." he said, making to lead her back toward the said bed.

Raiivyn yelped and tried to bat away the bird in surprise, hissing. He was not like a cat, at all. "Ack! Bird!"
Raiivyn (still) ignored Parson, and smiled. "I guess." he said, tilting his head and climbing onto the bed.
The demon child sat himself down next to Beth and patted her gently, "You oughta go to sleep, Beth. You're probably tired."
