Renée LeBeau

"You're just like your father..."

0 · 2,926 views · located in The Infinite Void

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Faithy

Description

Cursed with a small to medium frame, Renée learned at an early age how to make up for it by creating muscle mass and toning the rest of her 5'9 body. Spiraling long raven hair drapes across both shoulders, circling around until reaching her slender waist. Peering out from behind long luscious lashes that match perfectly with her hair is a set of red orbs although she generally keeps in brown contacts to keep people from staring at her. Half of her face is covered by the long bangs that never stay brushed back away from her eyes. When she's out and about on 'business', she has a particular outfit she wears. Starting from the bottom and moving up, Renée wears a pair of red skintight boots that conceal her entire leg up to her thighs. The sides of the boots are closed together by a series of belts and buckles and they’re made so that the knee can still bend easily. Covering up her arms from the wrists to halfway up her arms is the same skintight material that her boots are made of, and like the boots, belts and buckles close the material over her arms. Finalizing the outfit is a fitting leather top that has two buckles, which close around her neck. The left side of the top is clenched together by the same things as her boots, leaving both shoulders bare. The rest of the top follows her curves down to her calves, the sides splitting at her hips for easy moving. Peeking out from where the sides split is a pair of red shorts.

http://www.madman.co.nz/wallpapers/gilg ... 8_1280.jpg<-- A piccy to help show what I mean.

Other than that, depending on her mood and the temperature, the bottom of her form is covered by a pair of dressy slacks, or shorts that are rather skimpy. The shorts show off her extremely long, slender legs. Covering up the top of her form is a range of t-shirts that are quite cute and show off her curvaceous form. Some end above her navel, while others continue until reaching the waist of her pants. Of course, she has class and would never wear anything so tight that it was more disgusting than sexy. Finishing out the outfit are two different forms of outwear. The first is a long metallic blue jacket that rests a few inches below her knees and has a collar. The second is a black hooded cloak that when properly fastened with the black buttons and loops give a shadowy appearance allowing her to hide easily. She also has a pair of wire frame sunglasses with dark red lenses to help with the illusion of being mysterious, but more so to hide her true appearance.

Personality

Like her mother, Renée strives on being able to do whatever she wishes, but she isn't reckless. She has quite a bit more sense than her mother, especially when it comes to alcohol. Despite what her parents wanted, she has become a fighter and is quite skilled with whatever weapon she happens to come across. She is also quite skilled with the abilities she received from her father. Cool and collect, she always seems to know what to do when faced with an adverse situation. She’s slightly cocky and self-assured, but only when she has experience in what she’s doing. Though she's not shy, she doesn't bother making friends with just whomever she comes across. However, once she has chosen a person as a friend, she is loyal and very protective. Any foe of her friend is a foe of her and more than once she has killed in order to preserve the life of her companion. To strangers, she’s extremely brassy and psychotic; taking pride in torturing any that stands in her way of whatever prize she happens to be seeking.

Equipment

Weaponry:

.::.Playing cards.::. Like her father, Renee has the ability to manipulate energy and uses playing cards to energize and throw at things to explode them. Also, they're fun to use for playing poker and other card games.
.::. Renée wears sheathes on her arms that house short swords or long daggers within them.
.::.She keeps a sword dubbed the Solar Morning Star, which is kept in a sheathe placed upon her back.
.::.Two B+T MP9 customized sub-machine guns are holstered at her waist. The guns have been customized to hold 4.6mm proprietary rounds in an extended 50-round clip, resulting in an increased rate of fire. As well the fore-grip usually found on the front has been removed.
.::.On her hands two specialized gloves contain a group of hidden blades that slide forward over her knuckles with the simple flick of her wrist. Both these blades are made of a hybrid alloy and are not easily broken even by the most forceful of methods.
.::.Using a combination of an old shoulder harness and a pair of nylon cases, Renée has hidden a pair of asps.

History

Once upon a time in a land not so far way, Renée was born to Tayrn and Remy LeBeau. She was taught at an early age how to take care of herself and was also taught how to use the powers she had been born with. A curiosity took her away from her family and she has been struggling to get back ever since.

**Depending on the RP, she will either be played as a teenager or a child.**

Obviously if she's a child, she wouldn't wear the outfit in the first part of her description, but would probably be seen in t-shirts and shorts/jeans. Her hair and eyes would remain the same, and she'd look the same only shorter. :P!

So begins...

"Babbling about tattoos or something, I don't know." Shrugging, she finished the bottle and twirled it around her fingers. She began to seriously debate on whether or not to blow some stuff up, but that was probably the alcohol talking. She tended on losing focus and causing mischief when under the influence. It wasn't like anyone would notice because as Sangrei said before, it was far too chaotic for anyone to notice just one thing. Well, no, they would definitely notice if something blew up. She could just blame it on her father... say it was something that had been built into the bar years ago that finally blew. Would that work?

"Right, what do you have against your old man anyway?" he asked again, remembering his old question. He watched the bottle go around her fingers, still drinking from his own. Sangrei briefly wondered if she was a violent drunk, but internally shrugged it off. So far, it didn't seem so. And in any case, the woman seemed sane enough. Of course, if she was feeling particularly rebellious, he probably couldn't vouch for her anymore.

"I don't have anything against my father except for the fact that he was never around when I needed him the most. Because of him, I've been in the hospital more times than I can count, and because of him, I don't trust strangers because they could be coming after me just to get to him. Other than that, he's a great guy."

She couldn't help the bitterness in her voice. She really didn't hate her father, but she wasn't exactly thrilled with how she grew up. No child should be raised in a bar, especially Gambit's. Stretching out a little, she sat the bottle down, and stared at it a moment before motioning for the bartender to give her another. She had far too many memories in her mind, and she needed to get drunk in order to get rid of them.

For the third time, Renée found herself crossing the street towards Gambit's bar. Everyday she headed towards the bar, she hoped to run into her parents, but each time, they were nonexistent. Instead she found herself among strange company, which was oddly comforting. After all, Gambit's wasn't Gambit's unless it had odd things occurring. Sighing, she pushed open the front door, glancing around the room momentarily before moving towards the bar counter. Sliding onto a stool, she made sure the black hood remained over her raven locks. The sunglasses were still over her eyes, and as far as she was concerned, she was completely covered up and incognito. It was just the way she liked it. Prodding the barkeep, she ordered a vodka and sat back with a deep yawn. Just another day in paradise...

But paradise never lasted forever, did it? As if on cue, the white-haired swordsman caught the door as it was about to shut and slid in before letting it continue its course. A quick look around told him that it was average time - neither very busy not extremely empty. A second glance spotted a familiar hooded figure, who he began walking towards. Sangrei lazily dropped into the seat next to her, waving at the bartender. "Nene. Seem to be seein' a lot of you lately."

Renée LeBeau wasn't even surprised when Sangrei sat down beside her. It was almost as if she expected it -- nay -- wished he would appear. For some reason, she found him interesting and perhaps even comforting. She had no one else to speak with probably because she wasn't out making friends, and she figured he was at least a smidge entertaining. Shifting her gaze over towards him after she downed her glass of Vodka, she couldn't help but smirk. "I find this place intriguing and generally full of life. I guess it's nice to see you again."

"You guess? I'd say I'm offended by that, but then I'd be lyin', and it isn't good manners to lie to a lady," he quipped wryly, grabbing his glass of water when it arrived and taking a sip from it. "I'm sure that's not the sole reason you come in. Care to share the real motive, or do I have to wait for a dramatic reveal?"

His elbow braced against the table and he propped his head on top of it, glancing at her. "Can't be to find a nice, attractive guy like me, can it?"

"You flatter yourself far too much. I keep coming in hopes of catching my parents, but they seem to be aloof, like usual. I suppose I should be use to it since my childhood was the same, but still, I can dream, right?"

Sighing, she nodded towards the barkeep who just handed her the bottle instead of pouring glass after glass. Before returning her attention towards the man who if she was being honest with herself was quite attractive, Renée couldn't help but note how many dragons appeared to be in the bar. Well, things were definitely different now then(than?) they were when she was a kid. Shifting her gaze back towards the water drinking swordsman, she shrugged and fought to keep her visage as blank of emotions as possible.

"Why do you come here night after night? Surely you have a woman waiting for you at home?"

"I don't flatter myself at all, since I say it with as much sarcasm as I can muster. Rather, I'm probably insulting myself. Nothing wrong with dreams though I can't say why you're so intent on catchin your folks."

Indeed, the number of dragons was abnormal, but then again, the abnormality levels were quite normal. At her question, Sangrei chuckled softly and quirked an eyebrow, swilling his water around. "You say that like I'm an old married man, which I'm not! Just 'cause my hair's white doesn't mean that I'm not young enough to come out to bars and talk to pretty women. Definitely still within my boundaries to ask them to share a drink with me."

"Maybe even spend the night," he commented playfully, with a small smirk. "Shouldn't someone like you have a boyfriend to buy them clothes and jewelry?

"No guys want to be with me because I'm not normal. I've tried the whole boyfriend thing, but they bolted the moment I relaxed and allowed them to see the real me. I've been taking care of myself for most of my life anyways, so not like it matters much. As for my parents, I miss them, I guess, so I would like to catch up with them."

Chugging from the bottle, she ignored his comment about drinking with pretty women and possibly taking them home. She learned long ago not to let things like that bug her, and she knew he was probably doing it to get a rise out of her. Or maybe she was just being paranoid and reading into things far too much, like usual. Yeah, that probably was what was happening.

"You're a dreamer, hmm?"

"Well, I certainly don't mind people who ain't normal. I mean, if you come in here, that's pretty much the contract you sign, right?" he said easily. "I guess that makes sense. I was never really close with mine, so just not really a thing for me, but I get you. Besides, learning to take care of yourself is a good thing. People won't always be there for you."

The man took another sip from his glass, smiling a bit at nothing in particular. Indeed, he was making a few jabs, but it wasn't as though they were completely joking. After all, his pride was upon being a decent flirt, though he hadn't really done so in a good while.

"Maybe, maybe not. There a problem?"

Snarling, Renée glared at one of the dragons as his giant fist caused the empty glass to fly up into the air. Snatching it in mid flight, she handed it over to the barkeep, glad the bottle of vodka was still in her hand. Taking another swig, she returned her attention towards Sangrei and shrugged.

"There's nothing wrong with dreaming. I use to dream before reality slapped me in the face when I was around eight years old. Now, I just deal with reality and have decided that I'll never find that one guy meant for me. Like I said, hardly anyone wants to be with a chick that can cause anything to explode at a whim."

The swordsman blinked in surprise; she had moved quicker than he had anticipated. Part of it was that he was caught off guard, but he was surprised nonetheless. After another sip of water, he gave the liquid a critical glance and muttered to the bartender as the man was leaving with the empty glass.

"Just 'cause reality's a bitch doesn't mean you should it let stop from something like that. Besides, hardly anyone isn't no one, so there's already more chance than not at all. Besides, I'm here, right? That better count for something, or my fragile feelings will definitely be hurt."

Renée LeBeau scoffed a bit at his comment. Somehow she didn't find his feelings fragile one bit. Still, she didn't want to be rude since this was the first person that had spoken to her since she stepped back into town. Taking another swig, she frowned a little and found herself staring silently at him.

"I suppose you're right. You could talk to anyone, but you picked me. So, I guess I'm grateful for that. I just got tired of being rejected over and over again."

"Well, I do like to limit my conversations to attractive women," he admitted easily, grinning at her. "But from there, yes, I absolutely picked you." His new drink, a glass filled with amber liquid, arrived and he immediately grabbed it, taking a large sip from it.

He met her gaze and became quiet before speaking up again. "No worries, I don't ditch people because they're different. Hell knows I've seen enough of that from hanging around here."

"Oh, so you're saying if I was ugly, you wouldn't bother speaking to me? What happened to looking on the inside instead of just relying on outside appearances?"

Glaring a little, she finished the bottle of Vodka and motioned for the bartender to give her another one. Shaking her head, she forced herself to calm down and took the bottle of vodka from the bartender and took a big swig. It seemed like she was becoming her mother every time she stepped into the bar, which wasn't good.

"Thanks for not ditching me, but you might if you knew the real me..."

"I never said that I don't classify what's on the inside as attractive, what happened to not jumping to conclusions?" Sangrei shot back, drumming his fingers lightly on the table.

He watched her, frowning slightly as she drank directly from the bottle. It was a bit worrying to him, though he didn't know her very well. "Looks like you're trying to drink yourself under the table. That can't be healthy, and while I'm all for getting wasted...maybe you should watch yourself."

"And what is this 'real you', huh? Seem real enough to me."

"You just met me and you're already telling me what I should and should not be doing when it comes to drinking? I'm not drinking myself under the table. I can hold my liquor just fine, thank you. Also, I'm not jumping to conclusions. You're the one who mentioned attractiveness."

Leaning back, she took a few drinks from the bottle before setting it down on the counter. She trusted the dragon from before not to smash the counter again, but if he did, she would just catch the bottle much like she did the glass. Staring hard at the counter top, she hummed under her breath. Another dragon walked into the bar, and she began to wonder if there was some convention in town for them or something. This was the first time in her eighteen years that she had seen so many dragons, and honestly, it was a bit unnerving to her. Realizing Sangrei asked her another question, she shifted her attention towards him.

"The real me? It's a long complicated story, I guess."

Sangrei grimaced at the clock on the wall before he began his reply. "Hey, in my policy to make sure that you don't pass out in a place like this. Not really safe, you could get robbed while you're unconscious, you know? Won't argue too much, but there's a lotta things that constitute attractive."

"I'd like to hear it, though I suspect that the you right now is part of the real you. Though, I do have some things to attend to, so..." the ex-merc paused, then grinned at her. "What do you say to coffee tomorrow at that quaint little place down the street?"

"I've never passed out despite how much I've had to drink, but if you are that worried, I will stop drinking... after I finish this bottle."

Grinning, she drank more on the bottle, finishing it rather quickly. Her head felt heavy and fuzzy, and she wondered if she should have eaten something first before drinking as much as she did. Shrugging it off, she also glanced at the clock before releasing a huff. Why did he want to meet her for coffee? Wasn't that something that people that were dating wanted to do?

"...alright. Coffee tomorrow sounds fine..."

Dang, her words were starting to slur, and she felt extremely lightheaded. Figuring now was a good time to leave before she really did pass out, Renée slid to her feet. Grabbing hold of the counter before falling over, she fought to keep her legs steady. Well, today just wasn't her day.
