Rien Talvir

Of course he doesn't look like a gangster. He doesn't really believe he's one, either.

Nicknames: The "King"
Age:

Species: Elf
Race: Toan
Toanae elves live in tight-knit communities due to their strong psychic connection to one another. They are incredibly intimate, and strong values and morals are held to a high standard. Their powerful psychic bonds keep the communities peaceful. However, if a defective thought infects the mind of one of the elves within this community, it is either pushed back and erased by the overbearing majority of the other elves, or it begins to infect the others, as well, much like a disease. In such an event, the "infected" elf is banished, and often goes mad. To keep a stable mental state, an Toanae elf must bond and mentally leech from one or several beings in absence of the elven community it has left, often resulting in a radical change of behavior.

Height: 5'9"
Weight: 145 Ibs
General Appearance: Tall, lithe, and effeminate in both figure and nature, Rien truly is, with barely any exception, an elven man. He has sharp features, pointed ears filled with piercings, and golden hair that frames his face. His eyes give away, all too easily, his mischievous nature, and his wide grin, charming at times, can quickly turn into a devil's smirk.

Equipment:

Scypheres: Small bronze spheres, about the size of a golf ball, that open up horizontally. Long, thin blades will come out of this opening, curved and sharp as a razor.

Abilities:

-Levitation

The elf, Inigo, and the tallest pirate of the three all turned in unison as the next two members of the crew came in. Inigo and Rien smiled in greeting.

"So wonderful for you to join us, Morgan. I know you do hate being left up on the ship all the time." said Rien, steepling his fingers as he leaned back onto the counter. His words were filled with irony.

"Yes, good for you to be the hero, Zhubin, and getting that lad away from the ship for once. I think we all need a break from Oliver's gaze once in a while."

All three pirates nodded in agreement as they looked at Morgan and Zhubin. "Come on and have a drink. The ale is alright. Not as strong as it should be." said Inigo.

Rien had fallen somewhat silent as he looked toward the door. Something had caught his attention. Another pointy-eared patron.

Interesting.

The second the hat was shoved over Tau's face, Rien and Inigo hotted in laughter. Tau was not so pleased. He grabbed the hat and pulled it away from his face roughly, holding the bowl of the hat in his large hand, glaring at the redhead as she came into his sight again.

Rien leaned forward to prop his elbow onto his knee, fingers tapping his chin. My, my. What a mighty interesting woman this is. "I suppose I won't be getting a break from the usual, then." he said under his breath, "Though this is not so uninviting."

Inigo picked up a glass that he had thought he'd ordered. He hadn't any idea that it actually was not a glass, but the shapeshifter. He lifted it, but did not take a sip yet. Instead, he spoke.

"Come for supplies." he said simply, looking into her eyes. His tone betrayed the supposed innocence of their visit. "Supplies and...well, we ain't come to Wing City no time in the past. Though' we might as well see why it's so popular. Thought we could also have a little...fun..."

Inigo and Tau exchanged glances. The angered Quartermaster managed a dark laugh.

"Yes. Supplies. And...fun. What about yourself, Ginger?" he said to M'reth. "You a part of any crew? Maybe you're their whore?"

The second the hat was shoved over Inigo's face, Rien and Tau snickered. Inigo scrambled to slide the hat off down his face and press it to his chest. Once he’d gotten his bearings again, he laughed through his nose. He was not smiling.

Rien leaned forward to prop his elbow onto his knee, fingers tapping his chin. My, my. What a mighty interesting woman this is. "I suppose I won't be getting a break from the usual, then." he said under his breath, "Though this is not so uninviting."

Inigo huffed and picked up a glass that he had thought he'd ordered. He hadn't any idea that it actually was not a glass, but the shapeshifter. He lifted it, but did not take a sip yet. Instead, he listened as Tau spoke to the feisty redhead. Oh, just because her attitude changed did not mean the attraction had gone. Not at all. It had just soured a bit.

"Come for…supplies." Tau said simply, looking up to her as he drank from his mug. He then scratched his chin and rolled a shoulder back. “Just supplies.”

It was an obvious lie, but it was not as if the redhead would be able to bully the truthful answer from him.

Inigo decided to keep the hat for now, placing it in his lap. If she wanted it back, she would have to come and get it!

“And you, sugar? What’s a darlin’ like you doing, acting like a pirate? You’re none too rough to look like yer on a ship.”

"Now, Benny!" cried Rien, letting a light, polite laugh fly, "Tone your voice down and sit! Here! We've ordered your drink, old man. Just like you asked."

Tau's eyebrow twitched as Zhubin came in and Benny went off again. He rose his hands in the direction of the old man, fingers curling in. "You cockered bilgerat...!" he growled, "I ought to cut your tongue out of your mouth and shove it down yer own throat!"

Inigigo gestured Zhuben over with a twitch of his head. "We can't wait fer deh whole damn crew! Git yer ass over here and order yerself sumthin' to drink and quit tha' sulkin'."

Rien grinned. "Oh, my dear, Benny! Look what you've gone and done, smacking Zhubin like he was a woman! Didn't know you swung that way!" he said to the blind bat, shuffling his chair away from the Master Gunner. Best not get in range if he was going to get in trouble!

As Doc came and sat right on his lap, Tau set his jaw. He lifted a brow at her, then lowered his arms to scoop her up and toss her into the adjacent chair. Next to Benny.

"I think the ol' lout would prefer your company." he said to her, patting her knee and chuckling. That woman. He gave her an inch and she took a mile...

The man steepled his fingers, leaning back against the wall with his ankles crossed. "Oh, no, no, don't mind me, I didn't mean to intrude. I was simply walking by when I heard you two. Might that be your kid?" he asked, gesturing to the child.

Zuri frowned as she looked to him, pushing her hands in her pockets and looking down to the ground.

One does not usually expect an elf to be a pirate.

Quite frankly, elves do not usually expect themselves to be pirates, either. However, the elf that came into Gambit's that moment, his orange cloak trailing at his ankles. His hood was down, revealing his long, many-pierced, pointed ears. Light blonde hair framed his face, and mischievous eyes darted about.

What trouble to cause today?

Armed?

Why...who said Rien was armed? Not a rapier was on his waist, nor a flintlock. But he did have concealed weapons, residing in his pocket. Should he need them, they were but a spell away.

Sitting at the counter, he plugged in an order upon the touch-screen menu. Funny how Gambit's liked to indulge in technology rather than magic.

Looking around, he spotted several people. A woman with white hair, a rather modern young man, a swordsman, and another young man, this time with blonde hair.

Oh, but the men did not catch Rien's attention. It was the women. All three of them. He looked toward White Crow and lifted a brow.

"What's a young lassie doing in the most infamous bar in Wing City?" he purred to her.

"Oh, you would be surprised. I have seen everything from Minotaur to mermaid here. Though honestly, I don't know how a mermaid managed to worm herself into a place like this." He shrugged. "I suppose that adds to the strangeness and the mystery. So...I can't quite tell where you're from! Mind telling me?"

He turned to Alexander, raising a brow. "Oh. Would someone else like to converse with us, as well?"

"Plains-riders? How very interesting!" he said, steepling his fingers and leaning forward to place his elbows onto the counter. "I've never heard of you before. Zhona...foreign to me." He nodded.

Then, to Alex, he grinned. "I am Rien. Nice to meet you. Really." he said, holding out a hand, nails pointed, for a shake.

Rien's grin widened. "So it's all mutual." he said, leaning back against the counter. He looked at Crow.

"More than a pleasure. Truthfully."

It was an obvious attempt. Really. "It's hard not to carry a weapon here. It gets quite rowdy."

Well aware of her flat stare, he only grinned. Purposely. Like a cat who had gotten away with breaking an expensive vase. He was innocent.

"Ah, I see. Well, a knife is quite handy. And magic! Until someone uses a nullifier, of course. Those can be annoying unless you have a loophole." he informed Crow.

He changed his gaze to Alex. "Weapons? Oh, well...I'd rather not say. Not until I need to." he told Alex.

"Though, my own magic...is simply levitation. Nothing more."

"You can, but you're not on the staff list, and I've been here long enough to know who is and who's not!" she cried at Deja, her slender brows knitting together in frustration. Ugh! This woman!

"Who the hell do you think you are? Spirits be damned! Go die in a drunken stupor somewhere! Fall down a hole and get eaten by a monster or something." she said, letting go of the gypsy's wrist and using the same hand to try and plant it on the woman's back and push her back with the rest of the patrons.

"SLAVKO! Slavko! The hell are you? We got a mes- oh, thank you, Cryoface."

His hood was down, revealing his long, many-pierced, pointed ears. Light blonde hair framed his face, and mischievous eyes darted about. His fingers, topped with clawlike nails, touched to one another gently. Those vibrant orange pupils of his landed on the only other person within Gambit's. A woman with such vivid red hair that he simply could not ignore. In two graceful steps, he had come up to her, drawing out the stool beside her and plunking himself into it without hardly a word.

The elf's eyes slowly wormed in his head and locked themselves upon Zohra, half his mouth turning upwards in a confident smirk. His hands came up to rest behind his head.

"Jumpy." he commented, the amusement clear within his voice. With one outstretched finger, he tapped onto the touch-screen menu, ordering himself a drink.

"Hard not to be in a place like this, aye?"

The elven man tossed his head back in a laugh. "Ah! Yes, yes, of course. Happens all the time. Admittedly, I've been a part of a few. Something to be ashamed of and nothing to be ashamed of at the same time, I'd say." he replied, picking up the drink he had ordered. It was not a beer, nor was it anything as disgusting in nature. It was a clear alcoholic drink with mint leaves on the bottom. Something he would never order in front of his other shipmates. They thought him leaning for the other party far too much already. Really! He was just elven, after all!

"What's your name, sweetheart?" he asked the woman beside him, tilting his head as his eyes scrolled about her form.

Rien's own fingers were much the same. Slender, graceful, which were the cause of his heritage. He took her hand in his own, smooth skin brushing against smooth skin. He shook gently. There was no use in being harsh with the lady, now.

"Rien Talvir. Pleased to meet you...Zohra."

"Hectic, yes. Dangerous, certainly! But..." he began, raising up a finger, "fun."

With the smirk remaining upon his face, the elf rose the drink to his lips and took a small sip. Ahh...not as good without a live server, but it would do. The robots often likes to hold back on the alcohol.

"Sheltered in the country? Ahh. I see. You are from a little ways away. However, it is not only the city around here that is dangerous and hectic. The skies above, the sea, and the forests are also rather wild and unforgiving. The adventure is enticing."

"That's the spirit." that might get you killed.

Both Rien's words and thoughts in his own head were cheerful. If anyone were to scroll his mind, they might or might not be surprised at what they would find there.

"Though, honestly, not to burst your bubble, but you might be having many, many bad incidents in the future. Might want to prepare yourself. Get a gun, a sword, some training, or just a bodyguard. It never hurts to have one in Wing City!"

The elf's eyes narrowed as he frowned, and his stare went from mischievous to calculating for but a brief moment before the smile returned.

"Ahh, very well, miss Zohra. Very well. If you think that." Rien's thoughts switched over. To what, most would not know. His shipmates might guess accurately. Crafty Morgan would be able to read him like a book.

Maybe.

Oh, he hated that boy.
