Full Name: Savvas
Nicknames: Sav, 'Vas, 'Av

Biographical: "Er... Let's see. Well, you know my name, obviously. I'm Savvas. I'm what my homeland calls a 'pale waste of space'. People like me? We're not common there. That makes us different and weird, so folks generally don't look at us like we're actually people. My parents are both regular Nattians, but my little sister and I are both 'shifters. We can't really help it. I know that Earth has these things called albinos that look a lot like we do when we're au naturale, but I don't think they can change how they look. Ah well. No sense in worrying over cracked bark, I suppose. Anyway, I'm a male Nattian. We all speak English. I don't think there're any other languages on our tiny planet, at least. I'm twenty-seven-years-old, and my little sister's just about to turn twenty-two.

"What do I look like? Well... Anything. I could look like anyone I wanted to. Naturally, I'm just very pale. My skin's white, my eyes are white, my hair's white. I'm pretty tall, something like six-foot-three. My Dad's really tall, too! Assa's just the same as me - pale white everywhere, 'cept she's more Mum-sized and is probably a good seven or eight inches shorter than I am. What does Assa do? She models. She doesn't really like it, though. She wants to work with computers - you know, fixing them, building them, selling them. That kind of gyp. She just hasn't found the right place to settle down yet, though. Modelling pays well, and she's got the patience for it, being fussed over by make-up folk. I don't model, no. I've got a cushy desk job, assistant managing this new branch in Wing City. It's great. Close to my sister and so on.

"Hm... my likes. I like a lot of things; I'm pretty easy-going. S'probably why I find both men and women attractive - I can see something great in both, though I do prefer women. I love eating, too, and the occasional bar crawl. S'why I've to keep on going to the gym. There's only so much that shapeshifting can do. But, uh... listen - I should go. I promised Assa, my sister, that I'd meet her about twenty minutes ago. I'll see you later... maybe?"

So begins...

"And according to your douchebag of a brother, he just told you to make Cetec disappear - and, lo and behold, I get here and you're just on your way out!" He followed Killian back inside and paused at the bottom of the stairs. "Assa!"

"What is wrong with you, Sav?" Savvas frowned. Well... Okay, so maybe Killian was telling the truth when he said Assa was going for a nap, but that didn't mean that he hadn't planned on disappearing with Cetec whilst Assa slept!

"I was just at Caleb's, dropping off annulment papers. He said he was working with Killian, that he," the male shapeshifter pointed an accusing finger at the other man, "was the mastermind behind this whole damned charade!"

"Oh for any Goddess... Savvas, that's a load of rubbish and you know it. They didn't even know they were brothers before this happened," Assa said, wrapping her dressing grown tighter around herself. "Why is your hand a different colour?"

"I broke Caleb's nose."

"Savvas!"

"He threatened Cetec again!" After his nose had been broken, admittedly, but still. "And you!"

Savvas seemed to falter. Assa's disgruntlement and firm belief that Killian had nothing to do with Caleb, coupled with Killian's actual lack of cruelty towards Cetec (he'd been anything but cruel, really), had Savvas considering that maybe Caleb had just been screwing with him.

He caught the phone with both hands and went to the messages. Any previous thought of innocence disappeared instantly upon reading the latest message.

"Of course it is, Killian, you go --"

"No. No way in hell. Look at this." He held the phone, screen facing outwards, up to Assa and watched as she first rolled her eyes, froze as she stared at the screen and turned a hurt look towards Killiant.

"This is a joke, right?" She couldn't explain the drop of her stomach upon reading those two simple words, the sudden fear and upset that struck her. It was more than just worry for Cetec; it felt like Killian had betrayed her too. Assa had been so sure that Killian would be someone special for Cetec, someone he could grow up trusting and loving...

Now it seemed like she'd made the same mistake twice - first Caleb. Now his half-brother.

Savvas shook his head, certain that this was just another show, another ploy to ruin his little sister. "I don't even get why you two are still doing this! Caleb's got his fucking annulment now, we don't have anything else to give him - or you."

Assa mournfully watched Killian as he held both Cetec and his mobile. She wanted to believe him so badly - he'd seemed perfect! All he had wanted was to be a part of Cetec's life, to have a child... "Caleb lied to me," the woman said eventually, reaching her arms out for her child. "I can't risk it, Killian, I can't." Goddess, and now she was starting to cry, because this had been her chance to have Cetec grow up with someone who was remotely like a father.

"You've got no proof," Savvas added, scowling at both Killian's existence and Assa's response to what they'd just found out. That wasn't right... She should be happy, he was protecting their family!

"You do that," Savvas encouraged, nodding. "I might be inclined to believe you then."

"I just can't - Killian, I wish..." Assa hugged Caleb to her chest, running a hand lightly through his hair as he fussed, upset at being transferred from one person to the next.

"Dad!"

The little voice was sharp and sudden, and it certainly shocked Assa and Savvas. Cetec seemed to have shocked himself, but his main focus was Killian, who was currently reaching for and flexing his tiny fingers at. "Dad."

As soon as the shock wore off, Assa turned a blinding smile on Killian - forget the bloody text, forget betrayal, her little boy had just said his very first word and nothing could possibly take that away from her. That he'd said it to Killian, of Killian, only solidified in her mind the idea that Killian was that father-figure, would continue to be so.

"Dad!" The boy was bouncing in his mother's arms, eagerly reaching for Killian as he moved by. "Dad!"

"Oh, Goddess, Cetec. Where did you learn that little word, huh? Did you learn a new word? You're so smart! Killian - Killian, he wants you, you have to come see him! Maybe he'll say Dad again. Huh, Cet? Did you learn a new word?" Assa was cooing happily. Savvas stood, slightly dumbfounded at how quickly Assa had switched from being upset at sending Killian away to joy at Cetec's attempt to bring Killian back.

And he had to admit, the other man seemed to be entirely too upset. He grit his teeth, cursing his little sister's giant heart, and opened his mouth once more. "You can keep seeing Cetec as long as one of us is here," he bit out. "And you and I are both going to see Caleb once my annulment is final."

That sounded fair. Right?

"For any sake." Assa knew Killian loved Cetec; he'd said just as bloody much beforehand, and she was determined not to let Caleb ruin someone else's chance. She followed Killian towards the door, knowing that she was doing the right thing when Cetec gurgled with happiness and cooed out 'Dad!' once again. Savvas made as if to protest, but his voice was quelled as Assa spoke. "Killian, don't leave. Cetec wants you and I don't want to believe you even like Caleb, let alone would go through all of this to make his plans come to fruition. So stay."

"Caleb's already taken one father away from Cetec," Assa replied quietly, absently ruffling Cetec's hair as he clung to Killian, babbling away enthusiastically. "I think he's safest right where he is. Just here, with you, or with me, or with Savvas. Or all three of us. It's not fair to him if we let Caleb decide who he gets to see and who gets to keep in his life. That's my decision. Not Caleb's. Not Savvas'," the shapeshifter stated, glancing up at her brother. "Mine. And I want to believe you. So I am. Sound fair?"

Savvas muttered (he'd just been protecting his family, for any sake) but he knew that his sister wouldn't be playing around with something as serious as her son's life.

"Yeah, well," Savvas grumbled, rolling his eyes. "When you two are done playing happy families, we can decide when we're going to visit Caleb."

"Do you still want to go for a walk with Cetec?"

"What?"

"Shush, Savvas. Goddess only knows, maybe he still wants to go for a walk! Cetec, sweetheart, d'you wanna go outside? Oh, maybe we should get him something to drink. Hold on a second, I'll go grab a sippy cup from the fridge..."

That left Savvas staring at Killian and Cetec as if expecting the child to burst into flames just from proximity. "I don't like you," he said, shrugging, "but I can't fault you. Much. Yet. We'll see."

"If Assa had her way, you'd be legally adopting Cetec by now. All she's wanted is the perfect little family, and I'm damned right to think that you're taking advantage of that - that Caleb would know that and use it. But Caleb was the one who did wrong and I shouldn't judge you by his actions. Assa'll be getting on to me for not following our Goddess right and so on, but..."

"Here we go; look, Cetec, want some juice from your cup?" Assa returned, bright despite how tired she seemed in her dressing gown and pyjamas. "Here's a little juice for my little guy..."

"Maybe I should go talk to those agents from that fancy building," Savvas murmured, glancing at the door. "Don't go anywhere with him," he added pointedly to Killian. "You can stay here, but - just don't leave."

Things had calmed down considerably since Killian had become 'a part' of the family. Of course, with Caleb as a bench mark, Killian could quite easily have walked naked into Assa's home, proclaimed that he was the President of the United States and then promptly used Cetec's toy duck as a loofah, and he would still be better than the rotten excuse of a father that the child had claim to.

In fact, Savvas was just on his way to check on his nephew. Not that he reallly distrusted Killian now, but he had to be absolutely sure that he wouldn't find Cetec on Craigslist or eBay, and - well, let's face it... did he really need an excuse to visit his sister?

Apparently they weren't the only ones with a child to look after; just down the street was a woman carrying what had to be a baby in a bundle of pretty blankets. How joyful, Savvas thought absently. Hope her kid isn't sold on Amazon any time soon.

With that thought, he walked straight past her and continued on his way.

Savvas stopped. He stopped, paused, counted to three and prayed. He turned, raising both of his (currently) dark brows in surprise and confusion. "Oh, uh... Hi there. I am incredibly happy for your impending birth, but I'm afraid that I have never met you and, with such an unfortunate strangerhood, I can't possibly be the father of your child. Perhaps I merely look like the man you slept with. I can rememdy this."

And he did. From dark-haired, tanned and softly-featured, Savvas went to near-white, pale and sharp-featured.

"Now, I understand that you're probably hormonal right now, but I really have to get going. So, uh, good luck with your life and your baby and so on, but see y'later!"

Holy Mother of Jesus H. Christ. "Uh. I -- we did not have sex, of that I can assure you! I know this for certain because - uh, well... I'm married! Yes! Married. Not only married, but married to another man, so, terribly sorry about your mistake and -- what?"

A fucking fish?

What?

"No, it wouldn't come out of you as a bloody fish! What the hell are you, moronic? Should you be legally allowed to have children? I can't turn into a fish! I'm a humanoid shapeshifter! I can change my appearance, not my fucking species! Jesus Mothering Christ!"

Savvas, understandably, backed up quite a few feet, a look of horror on his face unrivalled by any expression he had entertained since the Age of Caleb.

"I..." Dear Lord, did his family attract crazies? "I really can't turn into a fish," he insisted, holding up his hands in a 'please stop, I'm unarmed and highly flighty' gesture with the hope that it would convince the woman to back the fuck off. "I'm also really sure that you've got the wrong end of the stick here. In fact, I'm pretty sure you're not even holding onto the stick right now! I haven't had sex with you, I'm not father to your unborn child, and I can't turn into a fish! Please! Leave me alone!"

He couldn't go to Assa's now. What if this freak followed him? Dear God, what if she thought Assa was her long-lost sister, and Killian her father, and Cetec her brother-in-law? What strange concoction would this queer-as-fuck freak invent?!

"I really have to go!"

Savvas blanched - or, at least, the colour would have comically drained from his face at the words the woman was saying if he hadn't already been as white as a really white sheet.

"I... I..." Words were failing him. Words never failed him. "Okay." Play along, and maybe the crazy will let him go. That sounded like a good plan. "Okay, let me try to be a fish."

He closed his eyes.

He waited.

He opened them again.

"Oh, darn, did that not work? Well, I guess I'm just not the man - I, uh, mean fish - that you're looking for! Good luck, though, I hope I never see you again!"

"I am really, really sorry," the harassed, flabbergasted shapeshifter stated as he continued to back the fuck off, "but I can't turn into a fish! I've never met you before, and I most certainly am not the father to your unborn child! I highly, highly suggest that you telephone a man called Jeremy Kyle and ask him for some serious advice, because I sure as fuck don't know how to help you, you crazy bitch!"

And with that, Savvas turned the non-existent tail and ran.

"Holy Goddess, Holy Goddess, Holy Goddess." Savvas wasn't a terribly religious man; sure, he'd attended the cathedral processions in his home land and done the whole 'choir boy' thing, but he'd never been a total stickler for the religious 'rules', as it were.

Right now, Savvas could quite happily give up certain parts of his anatomy just to get rid of the damn demented woman pursuing him through the streets. He stopped, just to catch his breath, around a corner, praying to their Goddess that the woman had given up, that she'd latched onto another unfortunate son-of-a-bitch on the way past...

You'll be sorry!

Oh no.

Please, Goddess, no. Please. There she was. Savvas' jaw dropped with sheer horror.

"Uuuh..." Savvas groaned, falling back against the wall as if he simply did not have the strength to stand unassisted. "Okay. Right. Um. I'm sorry. Uh... Let's... How about, right, we meet - we'll go on a date! Real romantic and all that bull - uh... Real romantic and all of that love stuff, right? That's how families are meant to start? Why don't we meet at, uh, that bar on Main Street? Gambit's? I'll meet you there tomorrow. Sound good?"

"Marvellous! Savvas enthused, voice taking on a high, hysterical pitch. "I'm just going to go to work right now. You know, pay for all that baby stuff and put some money away for college, y'know?" I'm going to move to the top of the world or the bottom of the sea. Pretty sure there's some mermaid who could build me an air-tight house down there. I wonder if I'd get internet there.

"So, yeah, lunch. Tomorrow. Can't wait. I'll wear something fancy..." he chattered, backing off once again. "Off to work! See you later! Ha ha ha ha..."

Peter slowly walks through Main Street, his heavy metal armor leaving small cracks in the pavement as he takes each step. He looks around as he saunters along the concrete, his eyes searching for a familiar face, although he sees many.
