Zaardashia's Story

Zaardashia walks slowly along the beach, holding a black scabbard in his left hand, sheathing a Chinese jian or straight sword. He was wearing a Chinese gwan made of pure white silk, with folded cufflings and frog-knot buttons. He smiled that warm friendly smile with squinted eyes, welcoming Lamina once again to the sand on the beach. He would stand approximately seven yards away from her, facing head on in a neutral stance with both hands at his sides and feet spaced evenly apart.
Zaardashia watched Lamina calmly as she approached within seven feet of him, and pulled out her blade. Zaardashia's smile slowly dissipated as he became more serious, and without any sudden movements, held his own black scabbard sideways up in front of him drew the jian by the hilt with his right hand. He would then slide his left foot back in the sand, extending his left leg straight out while bending his right knee in a bow and arrow stance, holding the scabbard up with one hand and his sword in the other.
Selerei continued to follow the trail towards the east, the sea bubbling as the creature passed shallow beneath.
