Setting
In fact, getting a commercial beer here is quite the chore, though if you ask for the most sophisticated brew you could think of they might carry it. On tap, they only have one beer. It happens to be an archaic import from some southern mountain range called Drakkus , very dark and very hoppy. In contrast, the most popular wine is Blud, a red wine infused with biorganics procured specifically for Vampires. Another Terran Favorite is Gruul, hailing from Gruul Wineries from the far away continent of Therrier-Paix.
Tauvyr Tavern is also a popular place for liquor enthusiasts. The establishment offers a delectable selection of tapas and finger foods. This is the hub of adult life in Verinotte Hollow, and holds Karaoke every full moon.
He unconscious breathed in how Tsukiya smelt and his almost angry eyes would soften as he liked his scent. It would remain him of his home, far banished from however but a smelt earth and plants on him also, he liked that more as he angered at the though of his home. He'd then part his lips reluctantly spoke. ''Thank you...'' He'd timidly say before groaning as Tsukiya touched a sore part of his side.
He didn't mean to but most of the time he was fighting and so found it hard to just trust someone, even sit across from them in such a alarm way he'd think they would attack him, he was a aggressive fighter and it was are for him to separate the man and the beast from each other, even at his age as his emotions drove him the most being the anger and short temper.
After what he did he thought he was being selfish but didn't move, he had no words to express his apologetic feeling towards the man and all he could do was hold the man's side to try to the bleeding, he felt useless at this point.
''I understand but I..I don't help...I ca-'' He'd then cut himself short and clear his throat. ''How about a drink on me, doesn't have to be alcohol, not into that stuff that much to be honest anyway.''
With a snap of his fingers the two guards move to points where they could, if needed, provide cover-fire for the man, as he moves to take a seat at one of the rear most unoccupied tables. If memory served him correctly it was the same table where he brokered a deal between Descorp and the ruling vampire family of this rock. In his seat he signals for a serving person to bring him a menu. Marvin was cool and collected, not the mess he was before- he had been in contact with the ship..he had been promoted.
"Two! Two people....wait, three, Three! Use that cigarette, burn their eyes out, they won't be able to watch, they will trip and then you can tear them apart!" a voice said in the darkness, and then stopped.
A figure then leaned out of the darkness, rising and appearing out of it. A figure in a black uniform, his head covered by a beanie hat of sorts. The figure grinned a little, tapping his foot on the ground.
"I see the tavern is kicking, good, hopefully no one starts a fight, Kaz might want it to happen though, I am the bouncer after all" the figure said with a casual tone, and then formed his mouth into a grin after.
He stepped behind the bar counter quickly, and leaned against a wall of the tavern, and took a long drag of his cigarette. He then stared out into the tavern, looking around at the patrons.
"At ease, she is a local. Hand her that menu and let her past." Marvin's bored voice drifts over from where he sat, resting his chin on one hand, the other playing with the provided fork somewhat. "What is she going to do, ninja flip into a monster or something...really guys.."
The guard relaxes, bending to retrieve the menu, before holstering the gun and handing the paper back the the girl. His form seemed to melt back into the shadows somewhat as he moved away. She took a shaky breath and moved over, quickly placing the menu before Marvin and retreating.
Then from the corner of his icy blue hues he caught fire then smoke being blown outward from the shadow clocked corner of the Tavern. He started to scratch the booth cushioning to bits with his now clawed hands as he felt over whelmed.
He'd look away just for a moment then he looked or rather glared at Elisio appearing from the shrouded corner. He'd look noticeably back and forth from Marvin Calough and Elisio, eyes narrowing at then even more, a growl deep in his throat then he looked directly at Marvin Calough's armed guards with a glint in his eye that showed he was starting to felt he needed to release this tense in a manner that was bloody and messy..
"He's nervous, good, that's good, very good, heheh, take your channnce! Do it, come on, it would be fun!" the voice yelled in Elisio's head.
Elisio just shook his head, chuckling a little, "Not now Kaz, perhaps later....." he whispered in a small voice, and then took another long drag of his cigarette.
His guards had taken note of the entrance of some being, something that played with smoke..one lesson learned in Dragoon Training was 'where there is smoke there is fire.' they would watch this individual, though he seemed to work here- due to the contract between Descorp and the leeches there shouldn't be trouble. There was also a rise in body temperature in one of the patrons- a sign of mounting rage. That one also displayed some odd vitals. The HUD read a massive upswing in pulse. This man might be trouble...
''What do you want tin can!'' He's shout across to them started to feel himself over heat knowing he needed to calm down but then he saw a young girl and it just made it worse.
He'd hold his face in his free hand, his ears becoming white with fur, large and pointed...
"If your friend here starts a fight, I'll make sure both of you end up in the dumpster outside of this establishment, understood?" he asked and looked up, and a gasmask had replaced his face, covering his head.
"I hope you do, because if you don't, what I just told you, will happen" he threatened with a very menacing tone of voice.
The guards in question didn't care about whys. They locked and loaded. Things might bet interesting. The first dropped to a knee, raising a strange looking rifle- the AR-G was the staple assault weapon Descorp provided it's soldiers with. A small red dot would be seen centered on the angry creature's center of mass- laser sights. The other guard would simply rack a round into his shotgun, after quickly unslinging it from his back and moving closer to Marvin. His job was to protect the asset. "Sir, we might have trouble. Do we have clearance to engage?"
Marvin was confused. They did have the authority to defend themselves- the contract allowed that. But this was a tavern. A place of business. It would be rude to have a fire fight here. "Yes, but if possible I want this done outside. And try not to kill him. He might be as much a victim as the culprit."
He'd also feel the firm grip on his hand on the table that belonged to Tsukiya as his hand gripped around his wrist. He'd look at the guards with rage and he growled at them noticing another figure behind them.
He'd dare not look at Elisio's face again but with incredible strength and speed his free hand shoved him away, whether he went flying across the bar into the counter on the other side or just stumbled back he didn't care, he just wanted space as he slowly started to feel himself become a beast.
This rage and fear all in one was making him worse and he fell to the the ground on fours wincing from the pain as his body started to change...
White fur started to spread onto his skin, his jawbone and back cracking and breaking as they re-aligned into his beast form. Her tail stretching out from his spinal cord and he panted, shaking and groaning in pain.
He was already weak as he knew what was coming so he whipped his trench coat off that showed bandages breaking apart, his blood dripping onto the floor...
Marvin's guards moved as one, the first rising from his kneel to back closer to the man. The second simply shouldered the shotgun tighter and made to move with Marvin, should the Agent decide to book it. The two were not looking forward to trying to bring down a lycan, the monsters were hardly easy targets. "Sir, we should begin moving towards the doors, if you are still wanting to keep this building bullet-hole-free."
Marvin waited, hoping the man within the monster could be reasoned with, "Just stop. Maybe we can help you...our ship has the finest tech, a cure? Maybe a better way to control your beast.."
