Setting
Kaimi's eyes widened. She whispered to Asirma, in a tone so only he could hear. "He isn't human. . .He's something much worse. I've seen his kind at work. He's capable of untold chaos and destruction. It rivals that of the fallen dekan. . ."
A second man ran into the clearing, his face red from running. "Michael, stop!" he shouted, his eyes widening when he caught sight of Kaimi and Asirma. His own hands iced over. "Hey now. . .what's going on here?" he muttered.
Michael looked back at his brother. "Hey Keegan. . ."
Suddenly, a fireball flew out of nowhere, striking Kaimi with incredible force. She endured it, the flame having no affect against her skin. It incinerated her veil, charring her cloak, and she was forced to turn away in shame. She moved behind the gon, trying to find something else to cover herself.
"What the HELL Mike!" Keegan shouted, turning to face his transformed brother. The demon had doubled his size, with horns and a reptilian snout protruding from his head. His hands were claws, and a spiked tail had emerged from the base of his spine.
Keegan retreated. His brother would have to figure this one out on his own. Running back to the safety of the dark woods, he hid behind a few trees to watch the fight from a distance.
Michael's claws became impossibly long, and he jumped out at Asirma in his own blind rage, swiping at his neck and arms as he burried his massive fangs into Asirma's neck.
Michael released, firing gust after gust of hell-fire at Asirma's ice. Every swipe of his paw released another torrent of flame, which he aimed both at Asirma and at the two females of his group, who were hiding a ways off. As it traveled, the gusts neither lessened in speed or intensity. "We need to get back." Kaimi said urgently, starting to back away.
Lin grinned at Asirma's booming voice and turned to Kaimi, "The Sages, unlike all other rathes took up an oath with the Armenes... An oath that cursed them and blessed them to be the spiritual guardians of the Armenes Dragons' souls. While their blood line said they were to have white skin, only the direct line would have this power... There were only four known dekans of the direct bloodline of the sages... It was believed the final two vanished with our race while one remained behind to guard the temple... It looks like Asirma is the last of his bloodline... But it also means he is vulnerable..." Sh
The demon, recognizing that he could not win, fled to the recesses of Michael's mind in an effort to preserve itself. Michael himself, having recovered his consciousness, shrank to his weaker, human form and collapsed, weakened by the force of his subconscious resident. Kaimi's eyes widened. The man was not one, but two. "It is not he. . ." she said quietly as she stared at the man. "The man does not wish to harm us, it is his demon. . .Asirma. . ." she bit her lip.
"Yet such a transformation has a cost..." After Lin whispered this she ran to Asirma, just as his draconic form seemed to wink from existance and his humanoid for fell forewards. Lin was there in time to catch him and bring him slowly to the ground, "Well done brave dragon..."
