- Born as the child from a well-known, respected doctor and a small town flower store owner, many would of considered her parent's meeting as pure luck. In fact, her father had exactly been getting flowers for his other girlfriend at the time. Long story short, her father quoted the meeting to be "almost as if they knew each other forever" and not even a month later he was rather frequent at the flower shop. Buying flowers to just have a reason to speak to the "fair lady".
To make the story even shorter (which Yukiko had the unfortunate fate of not having such an option), they were married within two years. Two more years after that, Yukiko was born, but with her own fair share of problems right off the bat. It wasn't something as trivial as her grandparents disliking her, or the parent's social status not matching up, it was actually an illness. Sure, now a days it rarely seems like she's sick, but she still is. In fact, she has heart problems because of it, making normal activities more difficult for her... Yet she still seems to refuse to not do them. She's pushed her limits, and has even tried to strengthen her body so she could avoid these problems at school.
Especially after she had fainted one day during gym class during her first year.
Ever since then, she's tried to play it safe, and actually makes weekly trips to her doctor when her father in unable to look after her.
