Introduction
Princesses seem to be the only ones to ever get their happily ever afters. Their prince comes for them, rescues them from whatever disaster, whatever catastrophe has befallen them. Then they fall in love, get married, and live happily ever after. The end.
The princes do not have the princesses' best interests in mind. They don't love them, they never have. What they want -- what they crave -- is power.
The princes are, indeed, very real. Cinderella, Snow White, Briar Rose, Rapunzel, and Belle are all real. Their respective princes decieved them, played the part of their savior, their lover just so that they could use the young women for their own purposes -- expanding their empires and taking over the world. And they will kill each one they feel unworthy of their new empire.
These five princes make up a society called the Crystal Knights. They each have a power in their name, and stand for making the world a better place. But their idea of a better world means mass killing one thousand times worse than the Holocaust we know of. Their idea of a better world will kill off almost all of the world's population, leaving only a select few.
When the princes revealed these plans to their wives, in hope they would join them, the princesses were horrified. The men assured the fine ladies that they had been chosen to live on, to help repopulate the world with more worthy beings. For each of their princesses also had a power that they knew of. That's why they were chosen.
The ladies could not bear the thought of such devastation, and with the help of the wizard Merlin, began to conspire against their wicked husbands and formed the Night Maidens, a society with the sole purpose of preventing the Crystal Knights from carrying through with their plans.
They pretended to go along with the plans of the Crystal Knights, to support them, even, so that they could learn of the plans. Indeed, the Knights were fooled, and even allowed their wives to drink from the same substance that had made they themselves immortal.
Everything went along just fine. The Knights were still in their planning stages, the Maidens were sabotaging from within, undetected. The princesses each gave birth to a child within the same five years. Belle's daughter was the eldest of all the young royals.
The Maidens were slightly worried by this, but they kept their places next to their husbands. Belle didn't allow her prince to see her grief for her firstborn daughter, insisting that the child was useless to her in such state. For surely her lacking of powers was a fluke.
However, upon the thirteenth birthday of Cinderella's son, it became clear that he too lacked powers. She refused to bring him before her husband, pretending he was sick. That night, with the help of Merlin, she and the other princesses fled to save their children, Cinderella's son and Princess Rapunzel helping a pregnant Belle along.

Characters
First come, first serve. || To me, it's unfair to make people compete for a role of fun. I don't have it in my heart to tell people that someone else's CS is better than theirs, but that's just me.

Reservations last 72 hours. || WIP must be submitted within 48 hours to keep your slot. After those 48 hours are up, you'll have an additional 24 hours to complete CS.
I'd prefer for you to keep these FCs. || However, if you HAVE to change it, just PM me and we'll talk, okay?
Doubling permitted. || This is, of course, assuming that you take one male and one female or that I give you special permission to take two of a single gender. In fact, I encourage doubling. Also, don't take a princess's spirit and her prince, either.
No Mary-Gary Sues. || Make your character creative and wellrounded while still keeping them realistic for their role.
CS is changeable. || As long as you include all required information, you may reorganize and embellish the character sheet to your liking.
Posting
No godmodding, powerplaying, or autohitting. || In other words, your character CAN be injured, and you CANNOT control other characters and know the thoughts of other charries.
Third person only. || I like first person, too, however third person is more suitable for roleplay.
The minimum per post is 400 words. || Honestly, that shouldn't be too hard. And please, don't post a novel each time that we all have to struggle to keep up with one person. Roleplay is a collaboration; please don't make yourself the driving force.
Post once or twice a week per charrie, minimum. || I understand that life gets in the way sometimes; just PM me ahead of time.

I am so sorry, but I will unfortunately have to retract my reservation. I started working on my character but as I was working on her I realized I had lost the inspiration I had when I had made my reservation, I couldn't work on her much more after that. I truly am sorry and I wish you all the best for this roleplay.

As for my favorite fairy tale... tbh, I've never been into fairy tales as much as I have with things like Greek mythology and the like. Though I have been playing A Wolf Among Us like a fool for the past week.
