Personality: It's quite possible that Dylan Beckett is one of the strangest people you'll ever meet. Dylan is the epitome of what it means to be a tomboy. Energetic, passionate, sarcastic, and outgoing, Dylan stands as a very opinionated young woman, who seems to always have something to say. It is for this reason that she has trouble staying still. Closer to the opposite sex than she is to her own, Dylan is usually considered "one of the boys" in every way possible, except for the fact that she has boobs and they dont. Dylan has always been one of the more mischievous girls at the Academy, often finding herself in a fair amount of trouble, not big trouble, but trouble nonetheless. With a thirst for adventure, she's a girl who'll try anything once, and if she likes it enough, she'll do it again. Dylan's usually the one who's got her headphones in, blasting her music, and shutting out the world, or rolling down the hallways on a skateboard (much more fun than just walking). Dylan's the girl who can never refuse a dare, and just wants to laugh and have fun.

Deep down, there is another side to her story, however. Despite her detesting of heels, ruffles, frills, and anything "girly", Dylan does sometimes wish people could see her more as a girl, rather than just "one of the guys", and she does dress up on occasion, usually only when the school's holding some big event. This is the side to Dylan that sometimes prefers to hole up in her room with a good book, blasting Sleeping with Sirens so loud she can feel each note, and staring up at the glow in the dark stars she's stuck up on her ceiling. Dylan may be outgoing and energetic, but that doesn't mean she's always all that confident. She's never had that much of an opportunity, nor has she had that much of a push, to be much of a "girl". When you live your life surrounded by a bunch of guys, never knowing your mom, it kinda happens. There was no one to push her into the dresses, or help her put on make up. Not that she doesn't know how. There are times, when she's alone in her room, that she'll do something on her own, just to make herself feel pretty. It's just one of those little things where she wonders how her life could've been different if she'd had a mom, if she'd been normal.

History: There was a man once. His name was Daniel Beckett. He was a father, and a widow. His first wife died while giving birth to his second son, and after the loss, the man developed somewhat of a gambling problem, pushing aside his pain and throwing himself into the game of chance. Afterall, wasn't that all life was? A game of chance? He made his own luck, and gained enough money to support his family. His ways eventually drew the attention of a certain woman, a goddess. And that was where it all began. Tyche took notice of the mortal man when he first started to build his own luck, without even her help. She watched him, coming to admire him from all that she'd learned about him. She knew what would happen when she made herself known to him. She was a goddess afterall, and man was always awestruck in the presence of the immortals. It was just the way of things. It didn't take long for the two to fall in love, and from that love, a young Dylan Beckett was born.

Dylan, as her father often told her, looked a lot like her mother, especially in the eyes. Dylan always took these comments to heart, never having met her mother, but she always noticed the look of sadness in her father's eyes when she asked about her mother, so she learned to steer clear of the subject. She was the apple of her father's eye however, being the only girl. With two older brothers, and one younger, Dylan fit in perfectly. She even had a boy's name! They were an average family, holding barbecues on the Fourth of July, screaming at the TV when watching Football games, and with three brothers, Dylan was never alone. Jake and Parker, her two older brothers, were the ones to teach her to ride a skateboard, and were always your normal over-protective big brothers. Daniel tried to be, but being 10 years old and adorable didn't exactly help his case. Dylan grew up with no one to push a girly side into her. Sure, she saw the other girls at school with their pink ruffle dresses and their Disney Princess lunchboxes, but Dylan always seemed to prefer Avengers over princesses.

Growing up, she always had a lucky streak. She couldn't explain it, but whenever luck came into play, Dylan always had the advantage. Where most children would climb a tree and fall to the ground, Dylan never fell. Everything just always seemed to work out for her. When she was 14, her father finally sat her down and told her about her mother. Of course, Dylan though her dad had finally gone of the deep end. Telling someone they were the offspring of a greek god wasn't exactly a very normal thing to do, albeit Dylan was far from being a normal child. After a lot of explanation and convincing, Dylan finally gave in, believing her father. It did sort of explain a lot. After that, she searched everywhere for any bit of information she could find on her mother. She started staying up later, spending a lot more time in the library, and one day, her father decided it was time. He sat her down and told her about the Academy, persuading her to at least give it a try, and try she did. She came to the academy at age 14, and it has become somewhat of a home to her since then.
Anything else? Not yet, but stay tuned.

So begins...
