Harm them without good reason, I will kill you with no questions or talk needed."

Sigrid peered through her large sunglasses out into the garden they had cared for by hirelings. It was still daylight and while she didnā€™t care for the sun and felt weakened from it, she didnā€™t have to hide from it either. The tiny blonde was much too worried to rest and her thoughts kept slipping into the past. How terrible it was, the many deaths their coven had seen would not soon be forgotten. Sigrid also reflected on the distant possibility that it could have been her instead of them.

Turning away from the window she smoothed her flaxen hair in a gesture of nerves and straightened the simple yet classically cut white dress she picked today. It was a very important date, tonight would be a meeting between them all. Something she wasnā€™t aware of happening ever and it would be her first true test as second in the coven. Sigrid looked forward to it, to proving herself to Cieed but in all honestly she preferred to keep her distance from the witches if given the choice. Sigrid was tenacious and had a keen eye for detail, something that would prove handy in the nightā€™s coming activities but she still didnā€™t feel confident at the prospect.

Wandering into the main hall she grimaced at her reflection in the large mirror along the wall. Secretly thankful that the theory about vampires not being able to see their reflection was rubbish. Morphing her face into a grin she sighed and flopped as if boneless into a nearby chair, her bare feet swinging in the air.

Even though the morning'd light had no affect at all on Cieed, it still made him tired. As much as he would have loved to have slept all morning he had to get his Coven read for tonight's meeting. He rubbed his face while groaning and taking a peek towards the window that showed a bit of light. Vampires, specifically the older kind, like Cieed, slept in caskets or coffins. To him the enclosed area and lack of air was nice and relaxing. He always felt it more soothing then sleeping in a bed or on a sofa.

He got up stretching to his feet and up out of the casket. Rolling his shoulders back he shacked himself to wake up. His sloppy brown hair falling into place. Without a word he took his shower and got dressed. Some would say he dresses sloppy yet stylish. Wild like his emotions. It suited a guy like him, even the castle they lived in fit his status well. You'd think that by the way he acts, that he was a king in the other centuries.

Throwing on his long black coat he started to head down the halls. It was meal time, he craved the comfort of blood, not animal blood, he refused to drink something so low classed, he found that vampires who did drink from animals were well, animals themselves. It was unnatural to him. And the blood tasted like crap. It wasn't pleasing, like drinking blood bags or blood pills. It never did the trick like what human blood did. Sure he could live off of it, but it would drive him mad after a while. Of drinking the crap.

On his way out he noticed that Sigrid was sitting all by herself swinging her feet, even though she smiled, he could tell that she felt a bit down about something.

"Hey!" He called out to her with his hands in his pockets and a tired look on his face. Though he did smile at her as a greeting. "Come eat with me to keep me company, or join me if you like." He meant on the meal of course, but he didn't say that to her.

He didn't give her time to reply and started to walk up to her, taking her by the arm and holding her into a side embrace as they walked. "Tonight will be a long night, so you should prepare yourself for anything. If anything happens to me, you are in charge. I hope you know that if I die, this means you will be next in line to become leader of the coven. You should hold more class in this honor." He grinned down at her and patted her head as they walked, but didn't let her go from his embrace.

Sigrid left her private reverie at the sound of Zoey making an entrance, she always made sure to let everyone know when she returned. With a small smile to herself she was nearly caught off guard by Cieed, lifting her large blue eyes to his face she returned his smile and rose deftly to her feet. Allowing herself to be embraced the slight girl nodded her assent to his request. Sigrid wasnā€™t in the habit of refusing Cieed and she wasnā€™t about to start now.

ā€œOf course Iā€™ll join you.ā€ She answered, her crystalline voice ringing softly through the halls. Resting her blonde head against her leader she listened raptly to his words, misgivings already swirling inside her. Sigrid was quite aware that their position was precarious, even more so due to the meeting later that night. Some had misgivings about Cieed choosing Sigrid to be his second, and she wasnā€™t about to let them be proved right.

ā€œDonā€™t speak of such things, Cieed. Iā€™m here to support you, not usurp you. Weā€™ll meet whatever they throw at us head on and itā€™s my job to make sure you survive it.ā€ Sigrid answered, favoring the taller man with a smile and an affectionate squeeze. She was truly honest in her words, Sigrid was extremely ambitious which explained her elevated position at such a young age, but she would do everything in her power to protect her coven leader.

ā€œI wish it were nightfall, the waiting is the hardest part. Iā€™d rather it all be over and done with. Do you have any inkling, any idea as to how it will go?ā€ Sigrid inquired, turning her curious gaze to the vampire beside her.

He chuckled at the sound of Zoey and stopped Sigrid and himself from walking, only to cover her up with his coat, making sure she was covered well from the light. "I might be a cruel man sometimes, but I could never let a lady die for me, even if she is second in command, or the worlds greatest warrior. Remember I chose you for a reason. Don't doubt it now." He smiled up at her and rubbed her cheek.

He watched her speak her next words as he staid knelt onto the ground, his fingers adjusting the coat to fit her. "Well..." He paused and stood up once he was done, standing beside her, he could feel her gaze. "It is to say that is for sure. I guess we wont know until it happens, it isn't like they go alone on this." He stared off into the distance and his body became like a statue, but he glanced over at Sigrid. "I just want you to understand that the intention of bringing the younger generation into this, wasn't the plan. But things to happen and if any of them get in my way, I'd kill them." He smiled at her as if that didn't faze him to kill without hesitation.

After that he took her by the hand and walked towards to were Zoey made herself welcome. "Causing trouble already little Miss" He smirked at her. "Welcome home. Sigrid and myself are about to go get a little bite to eat. Care to join? We'd have to make it quick so you little birdies do not become over cooked out there." He took bother of their hands and brought them to his lips, lightly kissing them both at one.

Cieed always love to have people watch him eat, in fact he enjoyed it a little too much, but he also loved the company of a good chit chat while out on his strole. Letting both their hands go he chuckled again as he took his leave outside. The fresh air was a bit overwhelming. It smelt to clean and open. Though he did enjoy it sometimes he didn't really care for the open space it gave off.

He waited for the ladies to catch up as he took a moment to take in the soon, letting his eyes adjust to the horrid bright light. It always did make him a bit moody, it was hot and bright and it did no use for him. "Remind me next time to order the guards to kill this god for saken sunlight. This worlds deserves no light, darkness shall be it's curse and our strength." He mumbled mostly to himself, but he was sure that the two could hear him perfectly well.

He snickered at his words and rocked on his heels slightly as he turned to face them. "What sounds good enough to bite today? You- one of you pick?" He waved his hand in the air to flutter away his correction and then placed his finger on his temple, still feeling drained.

Vencent sat up in his bed hearing a yell of words. It was Zoey again. "I hate it when that girl does that" He said softly to himself, "Why does she have to be a morning yeller?" He moved his feet to meet the floor and stands his window open letting in a few rays of light. He moves to it pulling back the shades the rays of the sun beaming over him. His skin slowly starts to smoke being a born vampire the son will not kill him but it still burns his skin. He stayed there for a moment looking out at the sun small burn forming on his bare chest and arms. He showed no pain in his face and felt it even less the pain he felt for not being a ture worror anymore for all these years felt worse.

Vencent moved out of the light and grabed a black no sleeve shirt off the floor putting it on. He sat down only long enough to put his combat boot on pulling the leg of his pants down over the top of them. He could hear light talking coming closer and closer to his room. He could tell it wasn't a maid or a cook it sounded more light but powerful. "Cieed," he said to himself "And it sounds like he could have others with him."

The sound of Cieed's voise came from the hall right outside his door. "What sounds good enough to bite today? You- one of you pick?"

Vencent moved to the door way popping his neck slowly he had forgotten all about the meeting that night but what did he care most of the time he stayed around the lords of the house so if they would go so would he. He opened the door moving out of it right behind Cieed looking at him and answered what he had asked, "How bout we go into town and find a young one to feed from sir." With that he pulls out a cig and lighter lighting it and taking a few drags.

Zoey looked up as Cieed and Sigrid, who seemed to be wrapped in a coat, walked into the kitchen and sent them a small nod in greeting as she continued to sip her tea, sun burning her skin slightly. "Causing trouble already little Miss" She glanced up and returned his smirk and stood up from her leaning position, placing her teacup on the counter. "Me? Why I would never cause unnecessary trouble." she said while smiling cutely, now standing next to the pair.

"Welcome home. Sigrid and myself are about to go get a little bite to eat. Care to join? We'd have to make it quick so you little birdies do not become over cooked out there.", giving a small smirk, she let him take her hand and kiss it before retracting it and gave him an amused smile, "Good to be back. Sounds fun, though you really need to get control of your food fetish.", she said with a smirk, pulling her dark shades down from her head to cover her eyes once again. Her leader and his second in command were the few people she found she could enjoy spending time with, without insulting their every move.

Falling into step behind Cieed as he exited the house, slipping on a dark bomber jacket she had kept hold of since the world war, in hopes of keeping as much of the burning rays off her body. She was lucky, due to being over 500 years old she had long since gotten used to the slight burn that came with the suns light though some of the newer and younger vamps who had been turned recently still found the sun could cause terrible skin injury.

"Remind me next time to order the guards to kill this god for saken sunlight. This worlds deserves no light, darkness shall be it's curse and our strength." Zoey gave a snicker at her leaders comment before speeding up so she now stood next to him and sent him a side long smirk, "Now, now leader dear, let's not be grumpy just because of a little sunlight. Were better than that, if those puppies and cultist can manage the sun than I say we vamps suck it up." she said as she turned her gaze directly to the sunlight.

Zoey paused and turned back to the two as Cieed began to talk again. "What sounds good enough to bite today? You- one of you pick?", Zoey nodded, noting the slight mistake and the look of weariness that leaked into the older vampire features.

"It's all up to you Sigrid, though it's two late to get any of the younger crowd. Our best bet might be a drunkard who passed out, or we could break into a house. I have a few suggestions if we got for the latter." she commented nonchalant as she began to examine her razor sharp nails, painted black with three red gems resting on the nail bed.

Sigrid listened dutifully to Cieed, smiling when he smiled and allowed herself to be bundled up in his coat. Sigrid was used to others attempting to treat her as a child considering she still looked like one although she was very specific about who she allowed to treat her as such. Cieed was one such person, but then again he never underestimated Sigridā€™s strength or intelligence.

Favoring Zoey with a nod and a wink she fell back into silence as she was wont to do and became the observer. It occasionally made other beings nervous, the vampiric way of growing still and blank but it was quite a common occurrence for them. For Sigrid it was a time to take in every minute detail and file it away for later for closer inspection. Currently it was because she tired, hungry and nervous.

Snatching her white sunhat and parasol as she passed the threshold into the light she quickly covered herself in the shade provided. Sigrid detested the daylight and would be sound asleep save for the worries that still plagued her. At the sound of Vencent, Sigrid whirled around with a grin on her face. Vencent has always been one of her favorites and she was quite glad that heā€™d been spared.

Peering through her sunglasses to her coven mates she shrugged lightly and tilted her hat back so as to see them unobstructed. ā€œMy choice then? Vencent wants to go into town, Zoey. I donā€™t know how keen I am on traveling so far in the sunlight, considering weā€™re trying to keep a low profile. At least for now.ā€ Sigrid said aloud as if she were speaking to herself although she was perfectly aware the rest heard her and could follow her thought pattern.

ā€œPerhaps something close, somewhere lonely. We can feed and then return to gather our strength for tonight. Zoey, Vencent, ideas? Sigrid asked sweetly, turning her cherubic face to the older vampires in her company remaining close to Cieedā€™s side.

Image You could hear the sound of Vencent's door opening up and the patter of his feet against the floor as he walked right behind Cieed. "How bout we go into town and find a young one to feed from sir." With that he pulls out a cig and lighter lighting it and taking a few drags.

"It's all up to you Sigrid, though it's two late to get any of the younger crowd. Our best bet might be a drunkard who passed out, or we could break into a house. Cieed grimaced for a moment in thought, rubbing his jaw.

ā€œPerhaps something close, somewhere lonely. We can feed and then return to gather our strength for tonight. Zoey, Vencent, ideas?" Sigrid asked sweetly, turning her cherubic face to the older vampires in her company remaining close to Cieedā€™s side.

Cieed rubbed his forehead. He wasn't really up for waiting much longer for them to pick out a place. Not feeding for a while now he was already pushing his limits. Unlike his Coven, Cieed was one that could last a very long time without eating, in fact if he didn't eat, he'd just fall into a deep sleep, until he did get blood. But he didn't want that to happen, so he better eat soon. "Yes yes, sure whatever, just pick soon. Or I might just feed on the help." He started to walk away from the group heading towards the town and not the city, there was less people there and it wouldn't cause much attention to them.

He didn't really care on the other hand, if attention was brought to him, he'd just kill whoever was in the way. Ah, but today was different, he ad to play being the good boy. Try telling that to an old human man, he'd probably beat you with a cane and tell you to mind your business. What irritated him the most was that this world was being run by kids. Children! Even the witches were all young and his Coven. Wasn't like he could comment on the Wolves, dogs never lived too long to begin with, not even in the mythical world.

Wasn't long before he caught scent of a child's blood in the air. The sweet smell of the little girls blood made him smirk with a slight moan. "Kids smell so sweet these days, better than the adult humans." He glanced back at the others and chuckled. "Have fun my loves a feast well, tonight we wont be able to hunt, so do it now. For we have a long night ahead of us. So choose your meals well, we need to be strong, to be prepared." You never knew what was about to happen, so he wanted everyone to be at their strongest. He was on the other hand hoping there would be a fight, he could always use the fun to putting up with a Witch, those ungodly things. He never liked the Witches, not in his many centuries did he ever like one of them. If there was a day he did like one, he'd more likely be dead.

Image That morning they went on their hunt. He didn't really care on the other hand, if attention was brought to him, he'd just killed whoever was in the way. Ah, but today was different, he had to play being the goodboy.

Wanted everyone to be at their strongest. He was on the other hand hoping there would be a fight, he could always use the fun to putting up with a Witch, those ungodly things. He never liked the Witches, not in his many centuries did he ever like one of them. If there was a day he did like one, he'd more likely be dead. Cieed never really got the chance to properly know one of the new born witches. Mainly because he'd figured that they'd be monopolized by the Elders. Never had time for that crap. To him the Elders were the type of witches who were the kind to be 'this is my world, I got the power, so I run it. Obey my rules or be punished.' So on and so on. That's how they were. Cieed on the other hand didn't see it that way. He saw that everyone had their own power. That everyone should follow their own rules. But the witches did infact have more power. So it was left with no other choice. Follow their rules or be dead.

This was why Cieed and the witches never got along. He hated rules, though he understood them, he never cared to follow up by them. What the witches didn't know wouldn't hurt them, he'd always say. Break the rules do whatever you want as long as you don't get caught. But there was one rule that he did go by. Never cross over the wrong territory. Vampires on their own turf, just like wolves to their own and so on. This was his utmost number one rule. They centuries are changing, hiding who you are isn't as easy as it use to be. The more time passes the harder it gets. Starting wars between different kinds would mean war with the humans. A dangerous card to play. Like a joker or wild card.

Didn't take the vampires long to reach the hideout. But the staid within the shadows before walking inside the building, waiting on the others to come in. He was curious as to the new born witches. But who he really wanted to see is their leader. He was told that the boy they choice was to be the light of their source. So he waited in silence like a statue for the others to arrive. The sun had fallen and the witches should be here soon. He didn't really pay no mind to the wolves, he already knew what was going on with them. But no one really knew of the witches, they were very secretive and it struck his attention.

That morning they went on with their protecting spell. Each one of them was protected by a small light, also known as a shield of light. This helps prevent them from dying or being killed, but it only last for a short time. 4 to 5 hours tops, no less and no more. They could only use this spell once a day or once every week depending on how many they use this spell for. Seeing as they used the whole group, they won't be able to use it again for another 4 days. Each person each day. Magic was always tricky like that. You win some and you lose some, that's how it was. It also involves a balance. Or in order to take you have to give. To use magic you have to balance it out by giving something back of equal greats, ah equal value. But that only involves the magic that you were not given to use. Like a earth user was given the power to use earth, so they do not need to give back an equal value of return. Same goes for fire, water, (lightning)spirit and air.

~Remembering~
"Sato the time we took you and your brother in was the very moment I knew that you'd be the one to lead our Coven to the very best. You give of this light that no one else does, learn to use it well." The first elder said.

He was the the man who found Sato and his brother, not sure how he did though. Just one day up and out of the blue, the Elder walked up to the boys and said. 'I know what you are, come with me I can help you.' So that was that, of course there was a long argument with Sato's brother and the old man, but eventually they ended up where they are now. With the Elders dying and Sato becoming leader. It was a big change and hard to deal with at first, but over the short time Sato got it handled mostly.

~
"Brother..." Sato murmured as he looked down at the ground along where he was walking. Wanting to make sure that he was still following next to him. "I just want you to know that, if it wasn't for you. I'd probably be nowhere in life. You make me stronger. I only agreed to become leader because,..." His murmur became quiet as he paused near the location. They were almost there to the location to where everyone was meeting up. At this time Sato should be feeling nervous, like any other person, but not him, he was rather excited about the meeting, he liked meeting new faces and experiencing their personalities. "..Mainly because I wanted to be the one protecting you this time. " He smiled softly to himself. His whole life his brother has been the one looking out for him, the one protecting him. Now he saw it was his time to return the favor, to return the love and kindness that was given to him all these years. His brother didn't have to, his brother could have just abandoned him and left him to die. That never happened, his brother was always there.

Sato turned around and faced his coven, taking in a deep breath and smiling, reaching up to pet his calico's nose that sat on his shoulders. "Well it looks like we are here." He pulled down his hood from his white cape and turned back around to walk up to the door, but just as he was about to knock he felt the spiritual vibrations weigh down on him. The earth under his feet felt like it was shifting, but only he could feel it. Dropping his hand he turned and his eye's met with Cieed's, even though he could hardly see him hiding in the shadows, he could sense him and his spiritual pressure. It was strong and full of death, it reeked of blood and made his stomach turn. And in that moment he wasn't so sure this was such a good idea any more.

Sigrid entered the meeting hall shortly after Cieed. Her black high heels clicked precisely on the wood floor as she made her way to what was apparently the vampiresā€™ reserved space. The covenā€™s youngest vampire and also its second in command swept the room with a long focused stare almost appearing as if she were hunting which in a way she was. Sigrid was searching for any sign of betrayal especially from the witches.

Once satisfied with her observations and after memorizing the hallā€™s layout the slight blonde perche on the end of the sofa as if she were a bird of prey. Crossing her left leg over her right she couldnā€™t but help to fall back into her old habit of swinging her elevated foot back and forth. It was a sign of her nerves, it was barely possible for Sigrid to maintain the vampiric stillness that came so naturally to most of their kind on a normal day let along when in such a situation.

Inherently she knows that she should probably mimic Cieed but the leader didnā€™t choose her because she was his replica, the exact reason she would probably never know. Perhaps it was because with her long blonde hair and smooth, porcelain skin Sigrid resembled a china doll of version of Alice in Wonderland. If Aliceā€™s favorite food was blood and instead of following the White Rabbit she ate him instead.

The vampire was fairly certain that the other groups would not peg her as the second in command of their coven. She looked and seemed relatively harmless especially when compared to the other vampires in attendance. This was exactly the effect she was going for. Attempting to settle her nerves, Sigrid glanced once more around the room wondering when exactly things would get under way.

They had all split up to hunt, Zoey had gone out just before she got home so she had quite bit of a meal and she had been more than happy to return to the young lad who had helped her out earlier in the night. Once she had gotten her second fill and the guy had fainted from blood lose, she took her leave and returned to the group who had also all finished feeding.

The smell of freshly spilt blood filled the air as the group of the four walked towards the meeting hall. She could pick up the subtle scents which identified each person and what they did, it gave her and idea of their personalities and the personalities of her fellow vamps, Like she only ever drank the blood of young men with an egotist and arrogent view of the world.

They reached the hall quickly enough and remained hidden in the shadows until the witch coven arrived, their leader pausing and turning to stare at Cieed, Than both Cieed and Sigrid entered the house. Giving a small sigh, she pulled out a cigarette she had swiped of the guy who had been her dinner. Despite the fact that cigarettes and drugs didn't have much effect on vampires, it always calmed her nerves when there was something to keep her mind busy, and the slow drags of smoke were doing the job perfectly.

"Let's get this thing over with..." She grumbled to herself as she exited the shadows and entering the house. Sigrid seemed to have sat herself down in the area designated for vamps while Cieed did whatever he did somewhere else in the room, though knowing him it probably wasn't good...

"Hay Sigrid, ready for hours of slow torturous pain? I'm kinda hoping one of these idiots will lose control and a fight will break out." She smirked as she watched the puppies and cultists present in the room. "Will make life so much more interesting.... Actually no it probably wouldn't..." She said after a moment, a resentful sigh exiting her lips as she took another drag.
