Selena Lucia

Selena Lucia walked through the forest toward the WaterFall. She walked with a soft dance in her step. She held the music of the day's merriment in her head and couldn't resist the urge to dance. Her soft grey eyes lidded some as she moved her arms linguidly to the music in her head. She swayed her sarong covered hips some as she hummed the medley. the small gold peices rang softly at the end of her sarong. She gave a spin, her blue-white hair swirling around her head. She took a large linguid step, light shinning off of her smooth and long warm brown legs. She held a smile on her full lips. The Moon shined down on her warm brown skin.

It was then she felt the Moon's pull but it didn't stop her dance. Her tribial markings shined a bright blue just as she reached Waterfall River. The marks lay on her arms, legs and on her face. She danced at the bank of the river, the Water falling added to the music in her head. She threw her hands into the air and spun a few times on her baretoes. The Gold beads on her blue top catching the moonlight adding to her sparkling glow. She was so into her dance and mental music she couldn't hear a thing.

Evergreen, located on the opposite side of the waterfall to the home of the Fae, was usually a quiet forest, but it was always deadly silent at this particular hour of the day; the hour when the wolves began their hunt. Even as a wolf Stephen stood taller than the rest, which made him more noticeable out of the twenty or so wolves that slowly padded through the woodlands, that and his unusually rich crimson pelt which was a rare sight amongst the Lycanthropes of Evergreen.

The hunt itself was a fairly boring event, and like always they found themselves short of a proper meal. No matter how decent their hunting party may have been, there really wasn't a whole lot they could do if all the animals had decided to just up and disappear. "Perhaps it is time to expand our territory," said Steph's father, the Alpha Male. He knew as well as his father did that the Fae would not let that happen any time soon, but if they wanted to survive then they had no real choice in the matter. With this thought still swimming around in his head, Stephen stayed quiet and just nodded along.

When all the pack had turned to return to their territory with their pathetic excuse for a kill, Stephen had made it known the pack that he wasn't going to go back just yet and after receiving a disapproving glare from his father, he bolted off through the woods, his paws slamming into the soil hard enough to create paw prints. It was a sort of habit to create a visible track when he went out on runs, just in case he was ambushed by Fae. No one would know straight away but if he'd been gone too long then someone would come find him and these tracks would lead them to his location.

After around ten minutes of non-stop sprinting through the trees of the forest, he reached the waterfall, which was one of his favourite places to visit. He didn't bother to check his surroundings, which again was another less positive habit of his. He wasn't at all expecting there to be anyone around at such an early hour in the morning, and so as soon as he broke through to the other side of the trees he dived straight into the river, sending the water in pretty much every direction. After having a bit of a splash he let his wolf form fade and his human form took its place. Like every other Lycanthrope after a shift, he was pretty much naked, but everything below his waist was hidden beneath the water.

It was then and only then that he realised he wasn't alone. He turned only his head towards the Fae girl, his half-lidded eyes narrowing a little. Was she... dancing? He couldn't help but allow the corner of his lips to tug itself upwards briefly into a smirk. "Hello," he said, almost warily but with amusement dripping from his lips. He wasn't one for jumping to conclusions based on race, so he only really needed to act harshly towards her if she posed a threat to him or what was soon to be his land. He watched her closely for a moment as he waited for a response.

Selena Lucia

Selena Lucia was in mid-dance when noticed a bit of red in the dark blue water and had to look again. She stopped mid spin and froze. A Lycan. Just on the other side of the river. Had he said something she didn't know but all she could do was look at him.
He held a smirk on his lips which lead her to believe him somewhat friendly, that or something else she'd rather not think about. He was tall and incredibly handsome which is probably why she hadn't taken off when she saw him. She'd never seen a Lycan up close before. Her parents kept her well away from this part of their terrority and would be livid if they ever found out she came here.

With that thought, a mischievous glint shined in her grey eyes. Why not say hello, they can't ALL be as bad as her parents claimed they were. "Hello." She said, just in case he'd spoken before her. "I am Selena Lucia." She said taking a step closer to the bank. She wanted to hop in but during the night, especially during a full moon, Her body reacted to the water strangely, right now her markings shined a little brighter then usual. She wished she could stop them from glowing but she couldn't. It did give her impeccable nightvision so it had it's benefits. "You are a Lycan, yes?" She asked softly. She figured her was but she had to be sure. He was in the River. No Lycan nor Fae crossed the river.

Stephen's eyes were glued to the girl as she stopped her spin abruptly and looked at him for a while. It was then that he took a moment to study her body. She was of dark skin, which was also a rare sight for him. Believe it or not, many wolves in Evergreen were either pale, fair or olive-skinned. He'd also never really seen many Fae up close either. Not only that, but she had a strange set of markings like his, but white with a strange glow to them. She was a unique-looking Fae from what he gathered. Of all the stories his father had told him, he'd never mentioned anything about Fae with markings such as hers.

His eyes shifted to hers before she spoke up. "Hello," she said, "I am Selena Lucia." His smirk faded into a genuine smile and he repeated the name several times in his head as if to memorise it. He certainly would love to see this girl again and it would look a bit bad if he couldn't even remember her name. "And I am Stephen... Stephen Richardson."

"You are a Lycan, yes?" she questioned after a moment and Stephen frowned slightly. If he had to guess, he'd say she had never really met a Lycan up close before. It wasn't hard to tell the difference between them and a human, as they held all sorts of odd qualities. His odd qualities were of course his crimson-red hair and black tattoo markings. "I am, yes," he replied, his smirk fading into an expression of nonchalance. "And you are a Fae," he paused to tilt his head and visibly sniff the air, "of royal blood, no doubt." He lowered his head slightly to look at her.

It was then that a boy, probably around the age of ten, rushed out of the trees, took one look at Stephen and the girl he was talking and went wide-eyed. "I... I brought you yer clothes, Sir," he said, his voice practically non-existent. He walked closer and placed them as near to the water as he could without them in danger of getting wet. He walked up to the bank and started to dress himself, despite still being slightly wet. The small boy looked up at him through chocolate-brown eyes that were similar to his. He reached down and grab the back of the kid's neck. "You tell anyone about this and I'll eat you for breakfast, m'kay?" he whispered into the boy's ear. The kid nodded frantically. "Ye-...Ye'sir."

As soon as Stephen released the boy, he went rocketing into the forest. He turned to Selena, then paused for a moment. "I've never seen you around these parts and I come here a lot. Something tells me you don't come 'round this area often?"

Selena Lucia

Selena memorized his name as he spoke it. He didn't seem to want to hurt her or despise her for simply being Fae. She relaxed only a little. "I am, yes." He repiled, his expression dropping. "And you are Fae." He said. It was more of a statement then a question. He sniffed the air and she tensed a little. "of royal blood, no doubt." He added and she blinked. "I am." she said with a quick tug at her lips.

Unsure of what to do, she started to sit , hoping maybe for more conversation but she shot up straight as a Lycan pup appeared. He looked from Stephen to her, terrified. The two conversated as Stephen stepped out of the water. Selena Lucia looked away giving him a bit of privacy, even though, often times, some Fae -male and female- walked around bare naked. After a moment the boy was gone and Stephen turned back to her. "I've never seen you around these parts and I come her a lot. Something tells me you don't come 'round this area often?" He said and Selena Lucia gave a sheepish grin. "Not quite, I used to come here more when I was small but lately..." she said and looked away. She was supposed to be looking for a husband, all of her suitors were either stupid, violent, stupid AND violent and didn't care in the slightest about her.
It wasn't like her father was dying but it was tradition and since they were always on the brink of war. It could happen, the King and Queen could die and Selena Lucia would be left as Ruler. Her father wanted her to have a proper husband.
"I suppose we just miss each other then." She said with a light shrug as she sat down and dipped her bare feet into the water. The glowing markings on her legs illuminated the river, and thusly gave her a blue hue. "What brings you hear?" She asked kicking her feet a little.

Stephen wasn't quite sure how to react to her seemingly sheepish grin. "Not quite, I used to come here more when I was small but lately..." she stopped her sentence abruptly and turned her head so that she wasn't looking at him. His eyes narrowed themselves slightly as his brows lowered into a frown. It didn't take a genius to figure out that there was something she was purposely trying to avoid telling him, but obviously she hadn't been very successful in hiding it because her expression and sudden head turn gave it all away, of course he still didn't know exactly what it was that she wasn't telling him. Still, he didn't press the issue because he wasn't the type to intentionally cause discomfort for another person, especially a female, and she was most likely hiding it for some odd reason.

"I suppose we just miss each other then," she continued after a lingering silence, in which time he had taken a seat right at the edge of the bank. He might've bothered to comment, but he was too caught up in watching her paddle her feet in the water, more so the glow of them. His eyes travelled up to see that the same blue hue was surrounding her entire body. An open-mouthed smirk tugged at the right corner of his lips, causing his teeth to become more visible. Who knew that one of the pack's most feared rivals were such unique and intriguing creatures. "What brings you here? she asked after another moment of silence, though it was considerably shorter this time.

"Sometimes I just like to come here and sit for a while," he said, his half-lidded eyes focussing on the waterfall that they were sat a far bit away from. "It's a peaceful area where I'm not pestered by the pups of the pack, or the wolves with the mentality of a pup." He had almost allowed himself to chuckle at that but refrained from doing so as he looked over at the Fae. "What about you? Surely a Royal-blooded Fae such as yourself has better things to do with her time?"

Selena Lucia

"Sometimes I just like to come here and sit for a while." Stephen said and Selena Lucia nodded, letting her legs be at mercy of the river flow. "It's a peaceful area where I'm not pestered by the pups of the pack, or the wolves with the mentality of a pup." Selena Lucia giggled at that. Her voice ringing like bells. She understood the feeling. Here she was free to be whoever she wanted to be. Not a Princess, Not a Weapon, Not a soon to be Queen but simply Selena Lucia. "What about you? Surely a Royal-blooded Fae such as yourself has better things to do with her time?" Selena Lucia smiled. "I supposed that's why I am here. I much rather be here away from all that, where I am free to do as I please." She said honestly, and it was strange. She never told anyone that. She just dealt with it, so it was strange that she told the supposed enemy all this. She didn't feel the least bit threathen and he didn't seem all that threathened by her.
"Selena Lucia!" A male voice rang out. Selena Lucia's eyes went wide. Tarek. One of her suitors and a soldier. Selena Lucia stood up out of the water quickly. "There inside the waterfall, there is a deep cave, please hide in there. That is Tarek, a soldier, he will attack you on site." She urged as sweetly and sympathetically as possible. While she was certain Stephen could defend himself just fine, she didn't want things to resort to that. Stephen seemed nice. She actually wanted to get to know him a little more.

Assuming that Stephen hid himself away in the cave. Selena Lucia turned toward the Fae Forest as Tarek approached her. Cursing her glow, as it lead him right to her. "There you are, Milady." He said with a handsome smile that made Selena want to vomit. He was such a player and all he wanted was her in bed and the power that being her consort could bring. He scanned the area, quickly before walking up to her. "Why are you all the way out here, it is dangerous." He said, running his hands down both of Selena's glowing arms. She pulled away. "I just wanted to be alone." She said, her tone read of irritation. Tarek gave her a handsome smirk as he brushed a strain of blue-white hair from her face and traveling his finger down her jaw. "We are alone now." He said and she knew what he was implying. She smacked his hand away. "You've not won my hand, Tarek." She said bitterly. "I am your Princess, and as such you do not speak to me that way." She said with a shove to his chest, pushing him back some but as a trained shoulder, he was well balanced and her little shove did nothing but make him take a step back. He didn't seem remorseful at all. He held that devilish grin on his face the entire time. "Leave me, I'll be back by morning." She said and He bowed with a slight chuckle. Only because he knew he ws the one her father wanted her with. He was his favorite so if Selena Lucia didn't choose soon, her father would and it would most certainly be him. "As you wish milady." He said and ducked back into the forest with a smirk and a cocky pep in his step. Selena Lucia clenched her fists, her markings pulsed brighter, and the water in the river began to sway and swirl a bit violently. Selena Lucia spun on a heel and down into a cross legged sit. "He is gone now, Stephen." She said, wrapping her arms around herself seeking some warmth. She hated Tarek. If she were forced to marry him, she'd throw herself into the river.

Stephen Richardson.

Stephen listened intently as Selena went on to talk about how she liked to come to for a sense of freedom, which was exactly the same reason why he'd come, although it was also partially because this was the only land within his reach where there was no fighting and no talk of war, a place where peace became reality. Take for example the situation he was in; he'd been sat for the past half an hour talking to a Fae - and a royal one at that - like she was someone of his own species. If she had been in his territory with the rest of his pack around, the conversation would be entirely different. He'd act no differently to her than how he was at the current moment but he could not say the same for the rest of his pack.

He turned his head towards the sound of a male voice calling out the Fae girl's name, and his eyes narrowed slightly in the same second that hers widened. This obviously wasn't a friendly male, 'else Selena-Lucia wouldn't have commanded him to hide inside the cave located within the waterfall. He hesitated a little but was uncharacteristically compliant, for some reason that even he didn't know or understand. When he was stood inside fully, he allowed his eyes to follow the male that was approaching Selena with his lips pursed into a straight line.

Stephen stayed quiet for the majority of their conversation, as hard as it was when he saw that the Fae male had touched Selena's arm very inappropriately, almost a little too inappropriate for his liking. When the male had left, Stephen waited for a moment to make sure that he was properly gone from the area, before noticing that the water was swaying quite a bit. He rolled his eyes and stepped through the water, which of course left him drenched. "He is gone now, Stephen," she informed him, which seemed a bit pointless to him. "I noticed," he replied, not wanting to press the issue any further; the poor girl already looked like she could snap and kill someone, and he didn't necessarily want to be that person, even though he was pretty sure she couldn't kill him without going through one hell of a fight beforehand.

Without so much as a word of warning or a second thought, Stephen began to walk from the Forest of Evergreen to the Fae Forest by crossing most of the river. He stopped right at the bottom of the bank, merely a few feet away from Selena. Technically he wasn't on Fae land so as far as he was concerned he was alright. "So, I'm guessing he's a suitor of some sort? Doesn't seem like the guy you'd want to marry." Stephen shrugged his shoulders lightly, before turning his head back towards Evergreen. "I know exactly how you feel, except it's different for wolves. Since I'm like a soon-to-be Alpha male, I'm going to have to get a Luna, who I'm practically to conceive pups with," he said, his eyelids lowered to cover only half of his eye, "and I don't even get a choice."

Selena-Lucia

"So, I'm guessing he's a suitor of some sort? Doesn't seem like the guy you'd want to marry." Stephen said after moving in front of her, startling her some. He crossed the River. No one crosses the river. Ever. She half expected him to be struck by some sort of spell, but no. "I know exactly how you feel, except it's different for wolves. Since I'm like a soon-to-be Alpha male, I'm going to have to get a Luna, who I'm practically to conceive pups with," he said, his eyelids lowered to cover only half of his eye, "and I don't even get a choice. he said and Selena-Lucia looked up at him. There was something in his eyes, something familiar. It was almost as if she knew him. Not literally but just in that, they were alike. The water and her glow calmed some as she looked at him. “That was one of my father’s favorites. Tarek. He is a horrible lecherous man who only wants me for bed and the power over the Fae.” She said, with a slight frown. “I can honestly, If I am forced to marry that man, I will throw myself from the top of the waterfall.” She said and her grey eyes flicked over to the 40 to 50 foot waterfall beside them. A fall from that height, would kill even a Fae. She then cleared her throat. That would probably the most she’s told anyone about this suitor business. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have told you that.” She said. She shouldn’t tell a stranger how unhappy she was with her life, despite how kind his eyes were.

Stephen Richardson.

Stephen's eyes found Selena-Lucia's as she gazed up at him through soft blue eyes and his frown lifted some as a warm smile found its place on his lips. It looked almost as if she was analysing him, or more specifically his eyes, and suddenly he felt very self-conscious, although he didn't allow a smidge of it to show in his facial features or expression. “That was one of my father’s favourites. Tarek. He is a horrible, lecherous man who only wants me for bed and the power over the Fae," she said after a while and he nodded along with it as he listened. He couldn't actually relate to that because his Luna held no power over the other pack members, aside from her own pups. To be honest, he couldn't even imagine what it must've been like to be used for power... and sex, as she so claimed. Then again, he probably wouldn't mind the sex part so long as his Luna was relatively attractive and actually had enough physical strength to be somewhat durable.

“I can honestly, if I am forced to marry that man, I will throw myself from the top of the waterfall," she continued and Stephen's eyes followed hers to the waterfall. He let out a short grunt in response as he attempted to suppress a chuckle. It probably would've looked bad if he laughed and she hadn't actually meant it to be a sort of joke. Based off of her expression he would've guessed she was being honest about committing suicide, which caused a frown to lower his eyebrows considerably and his lips to form a straight line. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have told you that," she mumbled and he shook his head some as he attempted to soften his frown, but it didn't necessarily work as well as he'd hoped.

"Perhaps you shouldn't have," he mumbled in response, before turning around completely to face his side of the waterfall. It was then that a slender man with grey hair and a sickly-green complexion stepped out from behind the trees. He just so happened to be Frankie, Stephen's least favourite person in the entire world and the pack's scout. "Well, well well," he said, letting each word linger on his tongue for a couple of seconds each, "I'm sent out to do a quick border check and this is what I find; the soon-to-be leader of the pack is talking to a Fae." Much like Stephen did, Frankie tilted his head and sniffed the air, before a mischievous grin found its place on his mouth. "A princess? My, my, Steph, you sure can pick 'em." Stephen narrowed his eyes. "I'm sure your father will be thrilled to hear about this."

Without so much as a word of warning, Stephen ran at Frankie at an amazing speed, before leaping at him. He shifted around halfway through the shift and used his paws to pin Frankie to the floor by his shoulders. His lips curled as a snarl ripped through his throat. "If you tell anyone about this girl, I'll kick you from the pack, hunt you down and mangle your body so badly that they won't even be able to identify you through the bloody pile of flesh and bone. Understand?" he snapped angrily, but Frankie just shrugged. Stephen snapped his jaws together, which caused Frankie to visibly flinch. "Okay, fine, this'll be our little secret."

As soon as Stephen had moved from atop of Frankie, he stood himself up, dusted himself of and sauntered back into the forest, followed by the Beta. Before entering the forest completely, he turned to Selena-Lucia and lingered a little, but sped off soon after. He couldn't risk any more of his pack finding out about the girl, it was bad enough that the small boy and Frankie knew, but if someone like Elliott or Jasper were to find out, he'd never hear the end of it and they'd probably make him a rogue for 'betraying' the pack and communicating so freely with an outsider, especially a Royal-blooded Fae. He couldn't risk it.

Selena Lucia

"Perhaps you shouldn't have." Stephen echoed and Selena Lucia sighed. She felt foolish then and embarrassed. She shouldn't have spoken but Tarek made her so angry. She needed to let it out. She was going to speak but soon a oddly tinted man appeared from the Trees from the Lycan's side of the River. Selena Lucia flinched. "Well, well well," He said, the sheer tone of his voice made Selena tense "I'm sent out to do a quick border check and this is what I find; the soon-to-be leader of the pack is talking to a Fae.He said and Selena got to her feet and stepped away from the river bank."A princess? My, my, Steph, you sure can pick 'em." He said after sniffing the air. Selena's eyes flicked over to Stephan's nervously. "I'm sure your father will be thrilled to hear about this."And no sooner had he said that, Stephan pounced on him, causing Selena to flinch. She couldn't hear the whole of the exchange but soon they were off, without another word.
Selena felt slighted, even though he turned to her before leaving there was no word of farewell.

With that, she turned back in the Fae Forest and ran home.

She made her way through the Fae Forest, where a long stream that spread from river and emptied into a large lake and before it sat a large castle, surrounded by dryad trees Selena ran as fast as she could and stopped to catch her breath when she reached the front gate. She regained herself before she walked inside as if she'd just been out and not seen more Lycan in the span of a few hours then she had in her entire life.

She made her way to her bedchambers, and lay on the soft bed. Stephen still on her mind. She wondered why he'd gotten so defensive when she was supposed to be the enemy. He attacked one of his own in her defense.

She had to admit, she felt flattered by that.

~The Next Night~

Selena had been forced to sit and listen to a long lecture about leaving in the middle of the night. Tarek opened his big mouth and told her father where she'd been last night. She didn't think it was possible to hate the man even more then she already did but she did. "I'm only looking out of your well being." He'd said.
Selena was still fuming, luckily, the moon was waning and her glow didn't effect the water as much. She made her way to the Waterfall river and decided she'd rest by the water. She knew she was completely disobeying her father's orders but if he didn't care about what she thought, why should she care about he thought. That's how she saw it. That was only part of it. She was hoping she'd be able to see Stephen again, but she doubted it would happen.

Stephen Richardson.

Stephen awoke with a slight frown visible on his expression. No matter how hard he tried to prevent it, the Fae girl kept appearing in his thoughts and dreams. It's not like she was doing anything of interest... she was just stood there, looking at him through her dazzlingly blue eyes. He clenched his eyes shut and tried to shake her out of his head but to his disappointment, she was still there. He just thanked the heavens that there were no telepathically-gifted wolves in the pack, 'else he'd probably be being run out of the territory by now. He just knew that they wouldn't take kindly to his sudden interest in the Princess, but still he wanted to check by the waterfall again to see if she was still sat there.

It was then that his sister decided to jump up at him from behind and without so much as a word of warning, he flipped her over his shoulder and pressed his knee into her ribs. "Don't sneak up on me, sis. It's a full moon and you know how tense I get..." he said, his voice softer than the frown that still sat on his features. She just giggled light-heartedly and shoved him off of her. For a little kid, she was surprisingly strong, not strong enough to best him of course but still, she could do some real damage if she put her mind to it.

The majority of his day was spent messing around with his sister, Jasper, Elliott and his soon-to-be Luna, Ayame. Both he, his sister and the majority of his pack considered themselves close to Ayame. So much so that Stephen was sort of looking forward to her being his mate. She was gentle-natured, sweet and would do pretty much anything to keep him happy, not to mention she was extremely beautiful. While he wasn't exactly happy that he didn't get a choice in who he would spend his life with, he could actually see himself settling down with a girl like her. If, of course, this Fae girl wasn't still pestering his every thought.

Once the day was pretty much over and night had taken over the sky, Stephen had finally had enough of thinking about her and figured that the only way to get her out of his head for a little while was to go and see if she was actually sat at the waterfall. However, before he could leave, Ayame walked up to him and asked if she could join him for a stroll. He said yes and they set off soon after. He wasn't so concerned about Ayame seeing Selena-Lucia because she wouldn't tell a soul if she knew it would upset him.

They both left the forest and approached the waterfall, only Ayame had stopped dead in her tracks as soon as she laid eyes on the Fae. "Calm down, Ayame. She's a friend." With the slight shaking of her head, Ayame took a few steps back before leaving the area completely. Stephen frowned some and allowed his thoughts to wander a little before he turned back to Selena. He took a seat just a little ways away from the bank. "I must say, it is nice to see you again so soon, Selena-Lucia."

Stephen couldn't help but smirk when he both felt and heard her pulse start racing. It did cause some curiosity as to why she was reacting so strangely to him but decided to just pass it off as nothing. "It is quite nice to see you again too," she replied, "I was almost worried you wouldn't come back." He was slightly taken aback by that... She shouldn't be worrying about whether he wouldn't return, she should've been worrying about if he would actually return. For all she knew, he could've brought his entire pack to attack her whilst she was alone. She was a princess of great value, they could get some other valuable things if they held her hostage. Weirdly enough, that actually sounded like an appealing plan.

"Is that your... Luna?" she continued and Stephen's eyes followed hers to the forest. He turned back to her and shook his head some. "Not currently, no. She will be when I become Alpha male though, but that isn't for a few days yet." he mumbled, probably only just audible enough for her to hear from such a distance away. Most would've thought it would be stupid for him to reveal the date of which he would reveal his new rank, but he wasn't too fussed. "Why do you care?" he asked after a moment, cocking a lone brow as he stared at her through half-lidded eyes. It was then that he felt something strange...

He hadn't seen it coming, to be quite honest, but he should've known it would happen sooner or later. His father had spoken to him recently about expanding their territory. The pups were starving and so were their most powerful pack members. Something had to be done, but he couldn't help but feel slightly protective over the Fae girl and so when his pack darted from the forest behind him he jumped up immediately and raced over to the other side of the forest before he could and in front of her. They hadn't even noticed as they just raced into the Fae forest, which he was thankful for but soon realised what was actually happening.

Jasper, the darkest wolf of the pack, stopped just before entering the forest and turned to him. "Come on, Steph, we're expanding." Stephen frowned from but nodded his head. "Go ahead without me." As soon as Jasper was gone, Steph turned back to Selena-Lucia. "Please don't follow them. I'll make sure they go back before anything bad happens..." He took her hand and squeezed it gently as he looked her in the eyes. "Please..." He shifted and ran into the forest after his pack.

Stephen, like promised, had spent a while attempting to convince his father to back down and return to the territory but it was a little difficult with the Fae that were fighting to defend their land. They certainly were powerful and had a greater number of fighters but there was a reason why a Lycanthrope pack usually only consisted of 20-30 members; they held greater strength and speed, which meant that even the weaklings of the pack would be difficult for a Fae to defeat. Granted, the Fae were skilled fighters and certainly were a sight to behold during battle. Naturally, Stephen didn't have much time to stare in awe or compliment them on their battle skills as several of them attempted to strike him.

They made their way through the Kingdom with few injuries and then came tackling the large castle where - for some odd reason - he could sense Selena-Lucia. His father, Alaric, burst into the throne room before the rest of the pack and let a fierce snarl rip through his throat. It was then that Stephen came in and leapt straight over his father's tall frame, before standing in between the Fae royalty and his father. They stared down at each other with eyes that never broke contact and both tails held high in the air as they both fought for dominance over one another.

"This is ridiculous," Stephen growled. "Leave the Fae land now or so help me God, I will kill you right here."

After a moment or so Alaric's body lowered some, as did his gaze and tail; a sign of submission. Stephen snapped his jaw together loudly and his father backed away a little, before turning and leaving the room completely. It was then that Steph turned back to the Fae King and Queen, along with Selena-Lucia and her 'suitor'. He dipped his head respectfully. "I apologise on behalf of my pack members. We have been driven to starvation due to lack of prey on our land and so my pack are acting purely on their natural instincts," he said honestly, looking mainly over to the Fae King. "Despite my father's obvious violation of the truce, I would highly appreciate it if we could forget the whole mess and continue as if nothing has happened..?"

Stephen wasn't at all surprised that their only reaction was a hot-headed man with an oddly large stick running at him. In fact, he found it quite amusing. He might've even laughed if the male hadn't spoken about losing 'good' men and the blade-tipped spear hadn't nearly connected with his head. Fortunately for him though, the male flew backwards, seemingly by Selena-Lucia's doing. That made him internally smile some, though he couldn't help but feel slightly emasculated by the fact that a woman was taking it upon herself to protect him. Sure, it was sweet, but still... it made him feel and appear slightly weak.

Selena-Lucia went on to defend him and his pack's violation to the truce due to their hunger but the King was still so stuck in his own ways that he felt some strange fucking urge to slap his own daughter, causing her to fall to the floor just little ways away from Stephen. He might have gone over to her if the Queen hadn't beaten him to it. His eyes watched them for a moment, before the King spoke. "I don't know what you creatures implanted in her head, but you will not get away with this." Stephen watched with a mental frown as maybe 100 or 200 guards surrounded him at once. As soon as the King gave the order, they charged at him.

And then they dropped, all of them... Just dead.

Stephen's eyes slowly shifted from the dead bodies to the King. He stepped forward slowly, his lips curling back as a loud snarl broke through his clenched jaw. "You are a bitter man," he shouted. "You have no sympathy for those who are suffering, those who were once peaceful wolves but have now been driven to fight because they have little else left to do in order to protect their pups." He stopped when he was about a metre away from the King, and it was then that around 15 of his other pack members slowly came through the door, all in protective stances. "If you had come to us in your time of need, I would not have hesitated to lend a hand. That's where me and you are different."

"Stephen," said a voice from behind him and he turned to see Jasper in his human form, fully clothed, holding a bloody mess in his arms. He squinted some before realising who the body belonged to. He turned back to the King for a brief moment, before making his way back over to Jasper. "Is she..?" he asked but couldn't seem to finish. "Dead." Stephen let out a soft whimper, before nuzzling the body. "Alaric brought the whole pack... She's not the only pup who has lost their life, Steph. We need to go..." With a nod, Stephen exited the throne room and with that, he took off in a sprint.

Stephen Richardson.

Stephen ran straight through the Fae territory, his eyes now holding a sort of dark hue to them. The black markings that appeared on both of his forms were spreading to cover the majority of his body, making his skin a darker shade of red, so dark in fact that you probably wouldn't be able to tell the colour at first glance. This was the main reason he hated being angered on the night of the full moon; both his body and his demeanour changed. Not only that, but the death of his own flesh and blood along with a deep hatred he now felt for his father had royally pissed him off.

As soon as he was on the territory, he made his way through the trees until he came to a village where many of his kind liked to stay occasionally. They didn't necessarily need homes all the time because they spent most of their time in the forest which meant that they just slept wherever they dropped. He figured this would be the place to bury the dead bodies the pack had picked up along the way. They had been reduced in numbers from thirty to fifteen, not including Stephen and his father.

It was then that he heard the gentle footsteps of a girl approaching. His eyes shifted to the pack in the village. All members remaining were sat around or bandaging up wounds, whilst his father sat on the throne that was built into the porch of his and Steph's house, which meant that the footsteps must've belonged to a Fae that had presumably been tailing them. He didn't sense Selena-Lucia anymore because his bonds had been cut off since the shift in demeanour and pelt colour.

Stephen turned around to see Selena-Lucia stood with her hands held up in defence. He shifted into his human form which usually was naked after the shift but this time he had a pair of baggy bottoms and boots. His usually nonchalant gaze was now a hard glare. "I wish to stop this," she said and Stephen scoffed some. "Join the fucking club, Selena." The most able of his pack members were behind him in seconds, sensing his obvious signs of anger. "You need food, I can help with that...I think." An almost inaudible growl rumbled in his throat upon hearing that. He wasn't going to accept her help for shit until he knew she would actually be able to get the food for the pack.

Selena-Lucia then dropped to her knees and bowed down at his feet. Loud laughter rumbled through the pack but Stephen's dark expression stayed constant. It was taking so much of his will power to not snap. He crouched beside her and offered a hand to help her up. When she was stood, he took a step forward so that he was staring down at her. Even in his human form he tried to make himself appear more dominant by towering over a person and staring down at them until they felt intimidated enough to look away. "You want to help, yeah?" he asked, raising a brow slightly. "Get us food and I might consider accepting your offer. Until then, get the hell out of my territory or so help me God, I'll hunt you down myself."

"Who said that I'm okay with this?" spoke his father as he made his way through the crowd. He glared up at Selena-Lucia and then over to Stephen. "Like I give two shits about your opinion. You're not Alpha anymore, so butt out of this," growled Stephen. He turned back to Selena-Lucia briefly, before turning to the pack. "Make the funeral preparations."

Stephen Richardson.

Stephen released a warning growl as he noticed that Selena-Lucia was making her way towards the fifteen other dead bodies that he had planned to bury around the village. He watched in awe as her markings slowly brought the deceased back to life and as soon as they were up he ordered the medical wolves to go over and aid them. Selena-Lucia stumbled over to him, her lack of strength evident with every step she took. That must have taken a lot out of her, and yet she'd nearly given her own life to protect the wolves... Even after Stephen threatened to hunt her down for not leaving the territory. He felt bad then and caught her when she fell into him.

"That's the best I can do," she said and Stephen shook his head some, his eyes brightening some as his eyebrows lifted slightly from their frown. "That was well enough," he said honestly. "Thank you."

With one arm wrapped around her body, the other moved down to her legs and hooked itself around them, lifting her up properly. There was no way she could make it out of the territory like this, just in case someone else found her in his absence. She was considerably powerful but in this state she was about as useful in a fight against a Lycanthrope as a domesticated dog. He looked down at her briefly before making his way through the crowd of wolves and towards his own house, where he knew his father would be. It was all his fault and while those who lost their lives were revived, his actions could not be forgiven so easily.

He got inside and said nothing to his father, merely made his way towards his bedroom and lay her down underneath the covers. "You can stay for as long as you need, Selena-Lucia," he said with a smile. "I owe you so big for this whole thing, y'know... I was being so nasty earlier and you didn't deserve it. I apologise for my actions."

Stephen's breath caught in his throat when her palm connected with his cheek and at long last he could feel just how weak her body had become from the last time their skin met like this. His saddened crimson eyes found her pale blue ones before his shifted to the ground at his feet. "You were anger, it's a full moon. It makes everyone go crazy," she said, her voice strained slightly. He shook his head as if to say 'that's no excuse' and just as he parted his lips to speak, she spoke his turn. "You lost... people. Alot ...of them. You had every... right to be... angry. I do not... fault... you for.. that." With every laboured breath she took, he could feel his heart breaking just that little bit more and he wanted so much to just be able to slip under the covers and hold her close.

"That girl, the grey wolf was carrying, is that your sister? You should go to her," Selena-Lucia continued and Stephen turned his head towards the door. "I should, yes... But my pack cannot be trusted with you around. In your state I cannot afford to have you hurt. As much as you might not believe it, I'd prefer not to stay on your father's bad side." This might've been mistaken for an act of compassion but it was merely the fact that if even a weakling was able to mortally wound or even kill Selena-Lucia, there would be no more talk of peace and no hope left for his pack members, whom he cared very much about. "I will stay here. My sister is a strong girl. She can handle herself."

Stephen moved over to the chair that sat beside his bed and shifted his eyes over to the seemingly half-dead Fae. "Please, Selena-Lucia, rest yourself and regain your energy," he pleaded, his voice unusually soft. "Do you need anything? Some water, food or fresh clothing..?"

Stephen smiled sadly as her eyes closed. She was asleep now and he almost missed talking with her, but he wasn't exactly left without conversation as Ayame, his Luna, entered the room, took one look at the Fae girl and let out a quiet but feral growl. "Ayame, don't. She saved half of our pack, treat her with a little bit of respect." She nodded her head but said nothing else on the subject. She made her way over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. "What's your obsession with this Fae Princess, Steph? You're kind of worrying me a little bit," she said, worry evident in both her features and tone of voice. He shook his head some and his hands found their place on her hip. "She's a friend, Ayame, that's all."

Even he knew that was not the whole truth... He did feel some strange connection to Selena-Lucia, which must have caused the friendship between them. He couldn't help but feel like he didn't want friendship, that he wanted something more from her but he didn't know exactly what that was. He had a Luna... He was with Ayame now, for life.

It was then that a glow caught his eye and he broke from Ayame's hold to rush over to the bed. Selena-Lucia's eyes shot open and she called out his name as she reached for him. His hand found hers and he crouched beside the bed with soft eyes and a firm grip. "The Moon Goddess... She- she came to me... I know what we must do," she said and Ayame scoffed some but the glare Stephen shot her was enough to shut her up. "Not now, Selena. You're too weak at the moment, but please do tell me what it is she wants you to do."
