D. Arachnick is the premier Etheric Engineer having contributed to the designs of the Automaton Armies and designed the four Horseman, centaur like death machines that are only released upon the command of the Rider, a mysterious figure appointed by the queen.

He is a genius obsessed with spiders, the secrets of Alchemy, (though he has no ability with it) and mechanizing anything and everything. He has been targeted by thiefs such as The Dark who have stolen his designs for their own nefarious deeds.

He is first and foremost a thinker with little need for the adventures that his young proteges get up to, but when push comes to shove his mechanical arms are capable of smashing through all but the alchemically enhanced metals of his enemies.
