Physical Description
Memphis stands at about 5' 9" and bares fire-y shaded short hair and gentle amber coloured eyes. He has a lean figure, notably well kept and looked after as represented through his athletic build - at times considered unmovable should you try to mess with him. He prides himself in his physicality and appearance, though not to a point that he is considered vain - the demon just takes an interest in his image. Typically he can be seen slouched against something, a cigarette hanging over the side of his lip. Memphis is also considered fashionable and tends to dress to suit his particular style, most recognisably a t-shirt, jeans and a black coat.

"As long as I am looking decent that is all I care for."

Abilties | Powers
Eruption | Memphis’s entire body is made up of fire and is contained within his ‘human form’. But should he desire to he is able to leak flames from his body and use it offensively, although much of Memphis’s attacks lack a considerable amount of care and precision. Especially this one as it may suggest. This is his most explosive attack known. Sourced from his body he is able to manipulate his fire through his mind and perform large scaled fire-ranged attacks without even lifting a finger. This also works as a form of defense, though its primary purpose is destruction and elimination. Like a volcano erupting it literally burns and consumes everything within its reach.

"Simply, when the eyes turn red it means your gonna be dead, heh."
Advanced Strength | Memphis harbors strength that frightfully surpasses many demons known. For sure he may appear strong from day-to-day but in all truth his strength is limited within his human form. There is actually another level to his physicality, an additional source of power that the demon keeps hidden away until an occasion when he needs it. This strength is his ‘true strength’. Very little would get in his way when accessing this, the demon is scarily intimidating.
"Yeah - I'd love to see you get in my way and stop me. Go ahead."
Heat-Wave | Memphis is able to generate enough heat within his body that he can then in turn project it outwards and melt his surrounding area and everything in it – or alternatively he can melt objects by touching them. Likewise, this also raises room temperatures and causes uncomfortable amounts of heat to weave in and out of the air surrounding him. People may faint or pass out in his presence, or worse. If the heat proves hot enough a fire may form though this is not a common occurrence.
"You know what they say, if you can't stand the heat..."

History
Memphis’s existence begins in a different universe entirely, though he does not know the exact name of this place that he called home, he does however remember its warmth very well. But the demon was brought into this world by a powerful mage who summoned him by accident and from that moment on claimed ownership of the fire demon – it is also how he came to be known as Memphis. His name, his identity. Though much younger then the demon was still the same as he is now.

Though not one to call himself a bad demon, he wasn’t overly good either. Memphis generally viewed himself as a demon who did what made sense and also done whatever the mage asked of him. Why? He doesn’t really know – it just made sense he guessed. And considering he was in a world that made little sense to him the demon felt obligated to keep himself in good favour with the mage, which he did. In turn the wise mage in a way raised the demon and shaped him into the figure we see today. Powerful, intimidating. A demon not to be reckoned with. He was also educated and to a degree tamed by the elderly mage.

The pair lived together peacefully, surprisingly. Memphis adopted the mage as his master, someone who he obeyed and assisted, aided, and ensured everything he wished came true. But their lives were disrupted when his master was offered a position at an academy for young demons and mages, and given the mages old age it was unlikely he could accept anyway, as he wasn't as young as he use to be and likewise wasn't in a state to take on the challenge. Instead the mage decided to send his demon in his place and take the position as Headmaster – a sudden decision that the demon was naturally uneasy about but since the mage asked, he accepted.

Memphis was given freedom to move to the academy and take up the role, as his mage felt this was best though would still keep in contact with the demon, and vise vera. His mage deep down knew that his demon could make a difference – and no whiny students would get away without feeling his wrath neither. So, that is where we find Memphis now, beginning his new life as a Headmaster and seeing what awaits him. He is still adapting to this new way of life.

"I have been given free will to do as I see fit - be warned."

Other
~ Smoking ~
Memphis’s entire body is made up of fire – but due to being in the human world he is ‘disguised’ as a human and thus has a human form that it is contained within. But at times he can feel a little too ‘stuffy’ and needs to smoke to exhale excess ‘fire’ from his body, or rather smoke. This is why he smokes a lot! Like seriously a lot.

"Yeah, whatever. Does it bother you? Do I care? - No."

So begins...

Laurence froze a little as the demon caressed his face briefly, though he listened to her words very carefully and looked the girl directly in the eyes. Before he could say anything in response Etelka then raised her other hand and bit down on one of her fingers. He heard the crushing noise and visibly flinched upon witnessing it. Shortly after the demon left and sat back down at her desk, and whilst she did so Laurence refrained from saying anything for the next few minutes as he pondered quietly to himself.

”Ah!” He suddenly smiled, hopping over and making his way beside the demon whilst minding to avoid the little trail of blood on the floor. ”You’re right Etelka, you’re very right! What you said, it made sense,” Twirling the wand round in his hand he then rested the end of it against his shoulder, making sure the tip was just above and avoiding his face and shoulder, as the thing appeared pretty sharp and the mage didn’t wish injure himself. Though whether he’d manage to was debatable. ”I’m going to become the best mage here and get everyone’s respect! I’m not going to lose ever again, I swear that! And... and... when I do that, I can keep you safe too. You wouldn't have to ever fight, Etelka!”

A moment later, the boy leaned forward and wrapped his arms around the demon in the form of a hug. Clearly he was out of his brief mood, and the mage appeared rather happier before quickly releasing the demon soon after. ”Etelka, Laurence. I think you two should make yourselves busy and go take a break. The redhead left shortly before, and I think you two should get something to eat as well before our next class. Especially you young mage, you look like you need it." A voice suddenly spoke, causing the boy to look and see their Headmaster hurrying through the classroom suddenly. It took a minute or so for the boy to grasp what the man had said, and once he had Laurence looked to Etelka just then.

”He’s right we should go. I’m pretty hungry now that I think about it, I only just arrived this morning so I haven’t had a chance to really get something to eat,” Turning round the boy took a few steps forward, bringing the wand round as he held it carefully in front of him. So far, he’d gotten quite use to the weapon, and if it pleased his demon then the mage would keep it with him for now. ”Let’s go, Etelka.” He smiled, looking to the girl momentarily before heading for the door. ”I'll lead the way and we'll get there in no time!”

Though not exactly knowing where the cafeteria was, the boy could follow the signs that were placed on the walls and used them to guide himself. It didn’t take long to get there, and perhaps he was just eager to find the place so he could settle his hunger. However, soon after arriving the mage noticed a familiar redhead at a table, causing the boy to duck a little and creep over behind her. Once there, he hoped he had crept over undetected, before peering over the girls shoulder somewhat curiously as he looked at her.

”Heeeeyyyyy
Venom! What you doing?” He asked with a grin. ”Miss us? Bet you did!” Shortly after he plopped himself down on the seat next to the demon, waiting for Etelka to join them as the mage rested his arms on the table and gazed at Venom with an amused expression. ”You know, I’m still waiting on that rematch. ‘Cause you know, I’m not going to lose ever again, and I don't mean protecting some staff neither. I mean a real match.” He said confidently with another grin, twirling the wand in his fingers as he sat it on the table.

As Midora read through the pages carefully, he thought about the mission that the Department has given them. So a Window is open and they wanted us to take care of it huh? This is not a very difficult task but it is not easy either. Midora figured that he could challenge the students by given them this task as an exercise, but he has to discuss with Memphis first, the red-head Demon was the one who is in charge of all this, although Midora can suggest ways to solve this problem. He began to thought which ones he should advise to send since most of them are probably drained after this morning task.

Suddenly, he heard that there were some knocks on the Office's door. "Please come in." Midora said as the door was opened and came in someone he hasn't expected - Bugby. The Demon walked in with his usual "don't-mess-with-me" style, he greeted Midora as he gave him a frown. ”About what you said earlier, to my group, well, to me more exactly,” The young demon said, but Midora can clearly read from Bugby that he was somewhat not very pleased in Midora's presence. ”You said if we needed you we would know where to find you, so I wanted to talk to you
 if that’s not a problem.”

"Of course." Midora put down the clip-board, clasped his hands and rest his chin on them them, "Is there anything you would like to say?"

”It’s just I’d appreciate it if you didn’t place such high expectations on me. I mean, I did try my best to beat Ichiro and Cleo, but I still lost. You judged my ability from what you saw but I don't believe you really know the extent of my power, and thus are not fit to judge my ability. You're just a mage who happens to be in-charge of me, and if you really took an interest in your students then you'd know that whenever I attempt to mimic multiple abilities from different people things always go wrong, my concentration lapses. I mean, don't our profiles tell you anything that's relevant? But yeah, what I'm trying to say is that I didn't like how you judged me and that I don't really plan to live up to whatever you expect from me, Mr. Kurayami.” The demon spoke up his mind and Midora was rather surprise to see a young, troublesome Demon being able to be so genuine with him. That's a good sign. But what the Demon was saying next aren't pleasant to hear in the slightest.

”I’m not as remarkable as Ichiro, or as daring as Cleo. I don’t even know why I’m at the Academy since I’m clearly not suitable here. My parents made a mistake sending me here,” Lowering his gaze the boy sighed a little. ”Anyway, that was it really. I just wanted to make things clear.”

It irritates him. It always does. He hates it when people keep admitting to themselves that they were weak, that they aren't worth to meet everyone's else expects. It just like they're making up excuses so that they don't have to moving forward. Thoughts like that are the very reason why there are just a certain people who have to keep their heads down for their whole lives. Midora considered it as the worst of disgrace. Looking up to the Demon, he retains his usual calm expression, but on the inside, he knows that it will take some while for them to understand, but he just couldn't stand anyone, especially his students having such thoughts. However, he is still sane enough to knows the person who is talking to him right now and he decided it'd be the best to let him have a chance to improve.

"First, I want to praise you for having courage to speak up your mind like that. I understand that my judgement was made solely on my point of view during your session. I didn't have any power that resembles you nor if I'd ever worked with someone with your ability so I may have not made a 100% correct judgement. However, I believe that what I've said earlier isn't wrong. The reason why I gave you those comments is that I trust you, as your teacher." Midora replied with the usual monotonous tone, but of course, every words that he has said were genuine.

Then he continued, "I think that it might because you didn't really understand the way I work. Of course, I've read your profiles carefully and I know your strengths and your weaknesses, though I need to watch you more from now on so that I can have better views of what you're truly capable. It's true that people sometimes, or even often, make mistakes. I think the reason why you've failed not because that you're weak, it just you didn't fully understand your own limits. Trying your best doesn't mean that you have to harassing yourself and pushing it too much. It is either that you don't want yourself to improve, or just that you don't have anyone to help you to. But you are here, aren't you? We can definitely work on that." Midora paused a bit to let his words sink in, "Even I, when I was young as you, I couldn't control my power properly either and I didn't remember a time that I went back from school without destroying something or even injured someone. But I tried, and eventually I became who I am right now. That is why I had my expectations on you because I know sooner or later, you CAN change. Whether worse or better is a different story."

Midora leaned further to Bugby, "And one more thing, I didn't really know what your parents had done to you go during your time staying with them. But at least, they realized your ability, they want you to be better. I won't defend them for whatever horrors they made you went through, but once they've sent you to this Academy, they've given you a chance to earn something that even they didn't know - freedom." As Midora spoke about this, he closed his eyes for a few moments as memories from the past began to pouring back to him. He was abandoned by the people who has brought him to this life. They humiliated him as if he is worse than the worst of scumbags, as if he was never their child, just because he was different. It was painful for him anytime he recalls it. But it didn't totally bad either. It was then, although he was full of grief that he has destroyed the very place where he was born, that he realized that he has the chance to follow whatever his heart desires, to be himself.

He looked up to Bugby, "I understand that most of you think this is just some sort of punishment, a prison no less, for those who are considered as misfits such as you. But not many think of this as a chance for them to renew their lives. No matter whatever purposes you came here for, willfully or forcefully, we Teachers want you to better yourself, even if you have no interests in doing so. You know why? Because once you've enough strength, once you've been held highly, no one can stop you from spreading your own wings, even your parents. It is the 'freedom' that personally I want you all to achieve one day. Have you understand?"

Then, he placed both of his arms casually on the table, "Bugby, your two teammates aren't as perfect as you thought they were. They also had their own flaws, you know. If you saw what Ichiro did yesterday, you will think different. Cleo also, but I hadn't told her about it yet. Which is why I don't want you to keep saying as if you are good for nothing like that. YOU are strong, ALL of you are strong, it just you need someone to help you realize that. Whether I was having an interest for you or not, my duty is to guide you, to teach you what is right, and I always keeping an eye open on you, you just didn't realize it, keep that in mind."

Midora came into his conclusion as he held the clip-board and tapped it onto his desk, "I know that you don't really like me, the reasons why are not my concern. But these are the sincerest advice from your supervisor. Whether you take them or not..." He said as he tilted his head with a light smile, "...is your choice."

With that said, Midora turned to the door, "Now, if you'd excuse us. The Headmaster and I have some problems to discuss, I suggest you should go to the infirmary to treat whatever problems you had, you'll need it." Then, Midora cleared his throat and raised his voice so that the person who is standing outside can hear, "Please come in, boss."

As the students finally are going to make some moves, Mikari couldn't felt more relieved. He crossed his legs as he felt somewhat excited for the fight. Mikari expects it to be bloody and intense as he always love to watch others sparring. Finally. Mikari's lips formed into a smirk as he saw Ruzik defended the staff while the other three girls are going to steal it from him. What the red-head Demon didn't realize that the Dark Mage knew about him more than he thought. For now, his job is to pay close attention to him and interrupted before Ruzik could has a chance for whatever schemes he had. Don't underestimate me. Mikari can be easy-going, but once he had had his eyes on someone, not a single movement of that person will escape his eyes.

As the fight went on, Mikari kept observing and realized the strategies that the other three girls used in order to go against the Incubus. But Ruzik was actually better than Mikari has thought before as he saw him up against the other three at the same time without much efforts. He sighed, looks like he got to push the Demon a bit more. However, at the first moment, he could immediately realized that something was going to be wrong when the battle's intensity got higher.

Mikari had felt that something has gone wrong when he felt the sense of bloodlust from them. The ones who remained standing, which are Liliane and Ruzik, emitted a very intense desire for killing. It's not like that he has never felt something like that before - Midora's bloodlust at his full power were a lot more intimidating than the two could ever compare, but if things keep going like this, one of them might really lose their lives.

Right at the moment Liliane placed his hand onto Ruzik's head, Mikari swiftly stood up and yelled as he approached them, "This fight is over! Stop!" But it seemed she ignored his order. Luckily, Ms. Sarah has stopped Liliane and pinned her against the bench where they were sitting. He went to checked on Ruzik. The Demon's energy is completely drained and his heartbeats are slower than usual, but fortunately that it wasn't really life-threatening yet. The Demon has lost his consciousness. Mikari sighed. He wouldn't be surprised if his beloved student is going to receive severe punishment for not being unable to control his killing intents, and the same would also goes to Liliane.

He looked up and saw that Muse has already go and get some help for Kou so he better worried for Ruzik and Kasumi for now. He stood up and reached for his bag of powder and blew a kind of levitating dust to the two. Kasumi floated on air and flew to Mikari. Until the dust wear off, the two of them will floated mid-air and follow Mikari wherever he goes. He then turned his back and went to the bench. Ms. Sarah, after comforting Liliane a bit, stood up and looked at Mikari. ”I can’t do anything more since they are primarily your group for the day so I’ll let you take action and decide what should be done.” She said as he stepped back.

Mikari could only sighed as he stood in front of the Mage and looked at her with a disappointed look, "I had expected better from the two of you and now you let your own hatred for each other to blind you from sanity." Mikari said depressingly to with another sigh then turned to Ms. Sarah, "According to the rules, whenever a student's killing intents got too high, which leads to them losing control of their own bloodlust, no matter intently or accidentally, resulting them in doing any actions or attempts that are life-threatening for the other students, the Teachers have the rights to temporarily seal that student's powers. But further decisions and punishments will be made by the Headmaster himself. Things have went out of control so I won't be able to make any judgement, which is the purpose of this exercise. For now, I will do what I have to."

With that said, Mikari raised his arm toward Liliane as a dark circle appeared and black chains sprung out from it, circling around the Mage before they merged into her, leaving countless marks with the shape of chains on her body. "Until the Headmaster decide what to do, you will be banned from using your power. I will take you to the detention room. Sorted out whatever problems you had with your Teacher when you get there, I can't do anything otherwise." Mikari said then turned to the Demon Teacher, "Please come with me, Ms. Sarah."

With that said, Mikari helped Liliane to stood up and made her walked by his side as he took them out of the practice's ground. He then took her to the detention room. When he reached there, he asked Ms. Sarah, "I will take these two to the infirmary and inform the Headmaster. Please look after Liliane until the Headmaster come." He said then turned his back and walked towards the infirmary's direction. Upon arriving there, he saw that Julie the Nurse are already busying with the other students from Midora's group. He sighed, "I'm sorry, Julie." He cleared his throat in order to gain her attention, "Looks like you already having a busy morning today, but can you take care of these two too? I'd be grateful."

He said with a light-hearted smile then waved his arm and two students were gently laid on two empty beds in the Office. "Oh, and before I forget." Mikari said as he took out a power-sealing talisman from his robe, "Please place this talisman on that red-head when he has recovered a bit. Let just say that things have went out of control a bit and the Headmaster will decide what to do. Thanks and see you later." He smiled before headed out and walked towards the Headmaster's Office. He sighed as he thought about what has happened today. Well, just hope that things won't go any worse today.

Bugby was a little, or rather very surprised as the teacher spoke to him. He had expected the mage to tell him off, have a go at him and generally just punish the demon in some shape or form. But instead Midora was oddly comforting and reassuring, and clearly didn’t wish anything bad on the demon, but rather the opposite. As the boy stood and listened he awkwardly fiddled with his hands and sleeves, clawing the ends of his coat as he twisted a small piece of it between his fingers.

The demon didn’t really known how to respond as the man spoke to him, opting to just occasionally look at him before glancing elsewhere and trying to keep his composure. From what Bugby could understand Midora seemed to agree with him, but also pointed out relevant little aspects that clearly the demon hadn’t even thought of. Even still, the mage stood by his earlier judgment and told Bugby that the cause for his failure was not down to him being weak, but instead his own understanding of his ability, which wasn’t entirely wrong. The man even mentioned how he was similar to the demon during his youth, that his control over his powers was not as great as it is now, as he is older. The boy couldn’t help but wonder how he’d be as he grew older, would he be as good as Midora? He doubted it.

Once the topic of his parents was brought up the demon quickly looked to the mage as he leaned closer to the demon. He kept his silence still, though his expression instinctively changed into a more gloomier look, even more down that he is usually. His parents were not exactly an evil couple, and they only wished for their son to become a better demon like them, though their methods to do so were perhaps a tad extreme as some would say. Sighing quietly, the boy listened to the rest of what Midora had to say before throwing his hands back into his pockets as he finally addressed the teacher. ”I
think I understand, Mr. Kurayami,” He began, dropping the angsty demon act as the boy gradually realized that the teacher before him was not some evil control-obsessed mage set on ruling over him as the demon had been use to before coming to the academy. But rather he was quite different from the demons initial thoughts.

”You want us to be better, to reform us and work out whatever issues we have, I get it. We’re all problematic students, no one is perfect, and all that stuff. I think I understand what you're trying to say, but as I am it is hardly surprising to find me somewhat apprehensive towards your words. But still
thanks Mr. Kurayami.” There was probably a bunch of things the demon could have said, but he was still in a sense of surprise over how
kind the man seemed, and Bugby was a smart enough demon to know when someone was speaking sense, so he’d accept that for now. Just then Midora titled his head and offered the demon a smile. Bugby hunched his shoulders and quickly looked away, saying nothing in response as the demon was unsure of how he felt, really. Midora then informed the youth that he had a few things to discuss with the Headmaster, who by then he’d figured was outside. Not really wishing to be annoyance the boy just gave a slow nod before turning and taking his leave out the door. ”Right, bye, Mr. Kurayami. Our chat was interesting.”

Passing the Headmaster the young demon merely kept his head down and hurried past, before continuing down the hallway and quickly heading onward. He took the mage’s advice and made his way to the infirmary where his teammates also ought to be. Once there, the demon was surprised again, as he saw quite a few familiar faces at the infirmary. Clearly this morning’s class had gone a little too far for some of the other students, never mind his own group. Regardless, Bugby looked around for his own group and soon found himself joining Cleo and Ichiro where the pair were within the infirmary.

”Found you, eh
why is Ichiro not properly dressed?” The demon couldn’t help but point out the obvious, noticing their mage laying on the bed and unable to not blatantly stare at him. Then again, it wasn’t like he could help it. Ichiro was just there, it was hard to ignore him and so Bugby just forced himself to deal with it. Crossing his arms the boy sighed a little. ”Why is it wherever Ichiro is there is always a bunch of girls near him, like seriously.” Well, Cleo was there. He had also noticed the horned-girl there too, but Bugby wasn’t jealous at all, not a bit!

It was then that the boy noticed Ruzik and another girl from their class in some of the other beds within the infirmary. Really, Bugby was surprised to see the redhead there, as he would have thought that the demon could handle himself enough that he’d not end up here, like the rest of them. Someone must’ve done a number on him by the looks of the incubus, but then so did everyone, as his eyes returned back onto Ichiro, or more especially his wounded leg. Although the demon tried not to, a visible blush formed against his face and just as quickly the demon looked away. ”Hopefully we can get this over quick, I don’t fancy hanging around this place longer than I ought to.” He muttered mostly to himself, seemingly ignoring his own injury as he sat on the end of the bed.

Memphis heard Midora summoning him inside, and once watching the demon-boy quickly taking his leave and heading off, the Headmaster walked into the office and sat across from the mage-teacher. "I didn’t wish to intrude so I thought it best I let you talk with your student first, and I am quite impressed by how you dealt with that – not that I was eavesdropping, entirely." Leaning back in his seat the demon crossed one leg over the other and rested his hands against his lap. "Anyway, you mentioned that the Department had sent a new mission and you wanted to talk? That’s why I’m here."

The demon noticed that the mage had seemed to have settled nicely into the office, perhaps it wouldn’t be that bad having a mage near him most of the time. Not that he disliked them, not at all. It just almost felt like having his master next to him – an odd feeling that at most, and he tried to ignore it for the time being. "It won’t be surprising to know that I haven’t had any experience with the missions that the Department give out – I’m still new here, and though approving me as Headmaster I can’t help but imagine that quite a few of the higher-ups are still not too thrilled about me just yet." He grinned whilst speaking, clearly finding a sense of amusement from the thought of irking the officials. "Nevertheless, my master did inform of them, so I have a rough idea of how things go around here."

Memphis didn’t want to appear too clueless, though given his only just recent arrival to the academy it wasn’t such an easy thing to manage. If anything the demon just tried to remember what his master had told him – and that old guy had told him a tone of stuff to keep in mind. With a sigh he puffed on his cigarette, though keeping the smoke to a minimum whilst he sat within a close area with his colleague. "So, care to enlighten me on what the mission is? I imagine that is what you wanted to talk about, and whatever else happens to come into your mind."

Ruzik R.

Ruzik awoke from the bed he had been placed on within the infirmary. Apparently he had lost conciseness not long after, if not during the point that the mage had been beating down on him. Just the thought caused a burning hatred for the girl, whatever her name was - he cared little for it. Although what did catch his attention was what she had said, though he could only recollect it vaguely, the demon believed the girl had said, “The world is better off without your kind.” His eyes opened widely as the words echoed within his mind, before slowly returning to their half-open state as the incubus felt his entire body ache.

Gritting his teeth Ruzik forced himself upright as he attempted to sit up, though once slumping over just a little he felt the sudden presence of another, and before he knew it he felt a foreign item placed upon him – though the demon was slow to fully acknowledge what had just happened, and it took a little while before he glanced down and noticed some sort of talisman on him. It was a round object attached to a chain that went around his neck however when he tried to remove it the thing simply would not budge – as if it was immune to the demon in every sense!

”Nabbed you like a baby, heh. Well, that’s one task done.” The nurse said with evident pride as she stood next to the incubus who was clearly confused. Feeling a little sorry for him she leaned in a little closer to the demon, resting her hands on the side of the bed. ”Your teacher asked me to put that on you once you were a little better, apparently things got a bit out of control and l think you’re suppose to wear that until the Headmaster decides what to do with you next.” It wasn’t really any of her business, but since the infirmary was filling up with students the nurse couldn’t help but be a little curious.

Clearly annoyed the demon attempted a few more times to get the talisman off him, but to little avail. The thing was determined to stay around his neck much to his displeasure. ”Why won’t it come off?!” He snapped and narrowed his eyes towards the nurse.

The nurse pushed herself off the bed and returned to her upright stance, crossing her hands over whilst raising a brow. ”Well, I can’t say for sure, but I’m guessing that whoever that talisman belongs to is the one who can remove it – which would be your teacher, most logically. As to what it does I don’t know, you’ll have to have that fun yourself.” With a shrug the woman gave the demon the once over, and despite the wounds he had the demon was otherwise fine – well, his attitude was in perfect condition. Whenever the woman got close to him to check his injuries the incubus pushed her away, at times quite forcefully, and Julie decided that she could leave him for awhile and attend her other patients. After all, the place was busier than usual and the woman was needed elsewhere, so it would be alright for now.

After she had left Ruzik sat silently for a few minutes, still feeling pretty rough however that wasn’t his main focus at that moment. The bleeding from his wounds had stopped, but they weren’t healed and really the incubus cared little for taking care of himself. With great effort, the demon moved himself off from the bed and got to his feet – although initially he fell to the ground and dropped to his knees, and it took several minutes until he managed to pull himself back upright.

Clearly exhausted, Ruzik took a few steps forward, albeit slowly and somewhat painfully, and checked to see if anyone noticed him. Although not having a clear idea of what the talisman was doing to him the demon could feel his strength decreasing slightly, causing his body to be gradually uneasy as he proceeded to make his way to the exit. Slipping out unnoticed, mainly due to the large amounts of students, Ruzik headed down the hallway and tried to distance himself from the infirmary.

His upper body leaned to the side and slid along the wall as he took each step, all the while he mentally tried to summon forth some form of weapon to vent out his anger – but he couldn’t. Unenthusiastically, he wasn’t surprised and yet still couldn’t believe it. ”Those
 bastards
 why do they
 punish me? I was the
 one who
 got
 attacked
” It was true, that mage-girl had attacked him! So why was he being punished also? Was it due to what he was going to do to Kasumi? How pathetic. ”Why would
 Mikari
 do that to
 me
 Don’t I matter
to him?” His breaths were short and slow, long gaps forming between each of his words as the incubus came to a gradual halt and sat himself down one the lower steps of a staircase.

That bitch. How dare that girl attack him! What was worse was that she succeeded in practically knocking Ruzik out, which was a slightly scary thought. Did she hate him that much? Why. He hadn’t done anything to her, though he’d quickly correct that fact soon enough. She would be dead. Everyone would be. All those mages, teachers
demons. Feeling a sharp pain in his gut the redhead cried out in pain, though it seemed nobody heard him. The pain kept building and attacking his insides, causing the redhead to continually cry as result. His hunger was erupting furiously as his own anger and desire to kill grew, but having lost his powers the demon couldn’t fulfill it.

Ruzik didn’t know what to do just then. He was in pain and temporarily lost his powers, he couldn’t aid himself in any way and so far nearly everyone was against him! With a weak shrug, the redhead rested his head in his hands as he felt a strong headache coming on - all the while his energy was weakening and his all-round general mood was dropping.

Cleo found Ichiro to be quite adorable as he acted cool about the whole thing. She couldn’t quite tell whether it was completely true or not, though of course, the slight blush she noticed was definitely a motivation for causing a little mischief with the boy. ”Wow, you’re so cool Ichiro, most guys would’ve totally freaked out by now.” She said a little teasingly, as she placed a finger against one of his legs and lightly ran it across his skin in a playful manner. ”After all, we’ve seen you in your underwear but you haven’t seen us in ours, it’s a bit unfair for you,” The girl purred with a slight grin, as she dragged her finger all the way up his leg and then poked his hip. ”I’ll have to make it up to you later, Ichi.”

Not long after Bugby appeared and quickly pointed out that Ichiro was not properly dressed. The feline giggled, stepping back from the mage as she faced the demon. ”Yeah, the nurse needed to get a better look at his leg before she could heal it, that’s all.” The girl explained and walked over to the demon-boy and rested her hands onto his crossed-over arms. ”Buggie, you jealous of Ichi and his girls, eh?” She leaned up and whispered in his ear, most undoubtedly causing some form of a reaction. Pulling away soon after the girl continued, ”We’re glad you made it back, I’m surprised you didn’t wander off again – which reminds me, your arm needs attending to, as well.”

Looking away briefly Cleo noticed the horned-girl and took a few steps over towards her. ”Hey, you’re the girl from before – I saw you with Hive, and Ichiro earlier. My names Cleo, you look a bit lost and I didn’t see you here yesterday, so I’m guessing you just arrived today? Ha! Well, you’re in luck, you just met a good bunch of demons and mages,” She smiled to the other demon before quickly adding, ”You already know Ichiro – the guy on the bed there, and that’s Bugby next to him. It’s nice to speak with you.”

Just then the nurse returned and stood beside Ichiro, though she quickly noticed the other demon that had arrived shortly before and let out a sigh. ”Not another one,” She playfully said when seeing Bugby’s injured arm. ”Right, you’re next mister after I deal with this one.” Turning her attention back onto Ichiro the woman leaned in closely and examined the wound on his leg. ”Looks nasty, but I should be able to fix that right up.”

About ten minutes later the woman was done and had healed the boy’s wound, his leg looking better than ever as not even a scar was left! Wiping her hands, Julie was clearly pleased with herself, though feeling a little tired, before she looked to the students though more especially Bugby. ”Now you.” Leaning over the nurse grabbed hold of the green-haired demon and pulled him around before sitting him down on the side of the bed. ”You kids seem to do more damage than us adults, you know. But I don’t think that should be much hassle either, it’s not too deep – thankfully!” Making sure his arm was bare, the nurse then held it securely with one hand before resting the other over the wound. She made sure the boy was ready before doing anything, and once he seemed settled she began.

Roughly five minutes after the wound was near enough gone, and the woman soon released the demon soon after. ”With the major injuries taking care of I think you can suffer the little scratches at least.” She laughed, before seeing her presence was needed elsewhere and quickly the woman hurried off. But stopping for a moment, the nurse dug into one of her pockets before bringing out a handful of lollipops and threw them onto the bed. ”Help yourselves!”

Once the woman was gone Cleo walked over and picked up one of the lollipops and unwrapped it before sticking it into her mouth. ”I hope you guys feel better, and maybe we should make a promise to not end up back in here too soon – ‘cause I’d rather not spent my days here nursing you two.” Turning round, the feline picked up another lollipop before walking over and holding it out to the horned girl. ”Here, want one?”

Sarah let the Headmaster get a good distance away from the detention room before she opened her mouth.

"Liliane, what has gotten into you. Of all the students you were the last person on my mind to act up. I didn't know what to think at first when I saw you going towards Ruzik. He was already worn down. But when you put your hand on his head that's when I had to intervene. I know what you were going to do. Liliane looked up at Sarah from the desk she was sitting in.

"How did you know? I've never told anyone about that ability."

"We know about your past. The experimentation. The artificial ability. Your training to become an organic weapon. We know who primarily funded your program and that you were subject zero in receiving an artificial ability. Which was the one you were going to use on the Incubus." Liliane was at a loss for words. What was there to say? Sarah seemed to know everything about the girl already. And she wasn't going to make an excuse for her attempt at the demon's life. At this point she'd still do it if she had the chance. As far as she was concerned Ruzik was another target to kill and the job wasn't finished yet.

"Look, your past is hardly an issue here at the academy. It's no worse than what the demons have gone through. It's probably worse because you are one of the few that is a victim. You were the one experimented on and your mind is the one that was twisted. We can try to change and mend it but it will take time. But first I must know why Ruzik? Did you have a quarrel with him? Or maybe you needed to vent your anger and he was the most convenient one?" Lili shook her head. The mere thought of the Incubus made her anger return."

"That Incubus and all of its kind are disgusting creatures. The mere sight of him makes me sick. His kind is the ultimate reason for me being this way. An Incubus manipulated my mother. Tried to make her kill me when I was an infant. Then He killed her when he found out she only abandoned me instead. My mother was dead either way but at least she spared me. It was by chance that the military picked me up. They scouted for a mage that suited their program and were looking for orphans to use as subjects. I seemed to fit every prerequisite and they immediately adopted me into their facility to train. From there I became proficient in hand-to-hand combat, melee weapons, fire arms, explosives, and magic. I know a lot about standard magic and how to deal with the basics of each element. I am the best organic weapon in Europe and have proved it through a variety of test. Unfortunately, my primary source of income into the military project became deceased and thus all forwards movement on the training ceased. And then I was picked up by this academy." Sarah nodded her head. At least she had a motive for her attempted murder. And the reason for Sarah seeing a hint of emotion on Lili's face afterwards was explained as well. To Liliane the attack was personal. There was reason for her racism and Sarah had to try and see if she could put a stop to it.

"Look, Liliane, I can't possibly understand your feelings or try to imagine what you've been through for most of your life. But what I do know is that this place is where everyone is to get a fresh start. Whatever happened in the past was left at the door you walked through before orientation. Yes, Ruzik is of the same race that murdered your mother but that's no reason to take it out on him." At this Lili suddenly stood up and looked Sarah in the eyes. They resembled the same as a dolls. Emotionless and without life.

"That thing challenged me. He had the intent to kill Kasumi and I merely returned it. He dared to threaten me with his disgusting ways of what his kind does. I don't do threats. I was trained to kill in combat situations. If I would have killed him then I'd only be doing the world a favor. One less Incubus on the planet is one less to worry about. If he ever threatens me again then I will kill him. Powers or not. I have been taught to dispatch my enemies either way. It's how I am." Sarah backed off. She knew Lili wasn't threatening the teacher directly but the intensity from Lili's natural aura was still intimidating. Liliane then sat back down and the two sat in silence to wait for the Headmaster to arrive.

After Midora called for the Headmaster, Bugby quickly took his leave. Midora just smiled quietly as he looked on at the young Demon's back as he left. He knows that it will take times for him to be able to help his student realize what is important in their lives, to help them find their purposes, which are what will make them able to find a direction in their lives. Whether they realized it or not, it is the true meaning of why they were sent to this Academy in the first place. Midora was able to achieved his own freedom. He wants the others to have a chance to spread their own wings too, that might be the real reason why he has chosen to follow this path. However, there are no paths that always so straight. If they want to achieve it, it is hardships that they shall face.

Midora turned his attention back to the clip-board and read the last few pages that he hasn't read yet. Upon reading the last page, he raised an eyebrow as it gave him an interesting information. Looks like I'm going to meet them again, it's been a while. As the door opened again, Memphis walked in. "I didn't wish to intrude so I thought it best I let you talk with your student first, and I am quite impressed by how you dealt with that – not that I was eavesdropping, entirely." Leaning back in his seat the demon crossed one leg over the other and rested his hands against his lap.

"It's okay though, I don't really mind. But thanks for the compliment, this is my job so you can say that I've got used to dealing with students like this. In my point of view, I think that it's not a problem to gave them any kinds of punishment that are justifiable when they made mistakes, but you should be sensitive and put yourself in their positions when they needed your guiding." Midora replied as he flipped through the pages one more time before put it down again and turned to Memphis, "Just a little advice. I think you should be fine doing it, eventually."

"Anyway, you mentioned that the Department had sent a new mission and you wanted to talk? That’s why I’m here. It won’t be surprising to know that I haven’t had any experience with the missions that the Department give out – I’m still new here, and though approving me as Headmaster I can’t help but imagine that quite a few of the higher-ups are still not too thrilled about me just yet. Nevertheless, my master did inform of them, so I have a rough idea of how things go around here." The Demon spoke with a grin. Midora could only wonder what was on his mind then, but that is not his concern. It's true that although the Department somehow has agreed to his Sensei's offers to let a Demon becoming a Headmaster, some of them might not taking it lightly. Midora guessed that because his Sensei was, after all, someone who receives high respects, not only from Midora himself but also the higher-ups of the Department. The old Mage's words seemed to really have weighs with their consideration. Midora wasn't very thrilled of having a Demon Headmaster at first, but he figures that it doesn't hurt to give it a chance. Sometimes changes are necessary, but whether for the better or for the worse is a different aspect that could only be judged after some while.

"Don't worry, boss. For the time coming, should you needed any helps, I'm here for you. Out of the Teachers' facility. I'm one of the people who has stayed here the longest. That might be the reason why they kept me teaching here rather than to transfer me elsewhere." Midora said with his usual calm voice, "You just need to set it on the correct directions and everything will be alright."

"So, care to enlighten me on what the mission is? I imagine that is what you wanted to talk about, and whatever else happens to come into your mind." Memphis said as he puffed on his cigarette, but he certainly was polite enough to keep the smoke at a minimum amount. Sensei really did whip him into shapes, huh? Midora thought a bit then began to intrigue about the mission. He knows that it's going to be long so he will try to be as specific as he could.

"Okay, before that, I have something to explain first. I believe Sensei has already told you a little about this but I figure that I should talk about it again just in case." Midora said as he placed his arms casually on his desk, "As you may have known, our universe isn't the only one that exists. Besides this very dimension that we live in lies many other dimensions that exist in a parallel way with the universe that we know it. People might think that the dimensions exist individually without any real connections with the others. But that not always the case. A long time ago, people have discovered an "medial" dimension that acts as a sort of connector between the dimensions. They called it the Celestial Nexus."

He stopped a bit to let his words sink in before continued, "It was called that way because the ones who found out about it were some of the most powerful Celestial Mages of all times and so far, only Mages with the affinity with Celestial Magic can access to the Nexus by opening large-sized portals with the shape of a vortex known as the Windows, but doing that will cost them a large amount of mana and not always can they successfully manage to open one. However, the dimension is not always stable. Occasionally, the Ether flows were somehow disrupted and the Nexus will open a Window by itself. We can't predict when or where will a Window might be opened but that is not the most troubling part. If a Window is opened by the Nexus itself, not by a Celestial Mage, monsters and hostile unearthly creatures from another dimensions will travel through it and enter our worlds. They can cause a damages on a wide scale and causing a lot of casualties for the people around that area. That is why it is very important for the governments to quickly send their forces to the place where a Window is opened to seal it and destroy every monsters that still creeping the area. And this is the mission that the Department has entrusted us to accomplish."

He leaned on his back and crossed his arms, "Most monsters that went through the portals are mainly ranked from the lowest F-class to B-class. The quantities of them will depend on whether the Windows are closed fast enough or not, but still, they're fairly easy to deal with. However, anytime a Window is sealed, it will emit a shockwave strong enough to summon a high-class monster which will be a lot harder to defeat. So, this is my suggestion." Midora leaned closer to Memphis as he spoke, "We can consider this as an exercise and we will send our students to deal with it. But sending too many students to deal with the task might not be a good idea since it will be a bit too crowded. A group consists of five students are enough to deal with this problem. From what I've observed this morning, it seemed that your group hasn't a chance to showed much of their strengths and there were two other students that couldn't participate in this morning's session so we should send them for this task. At first, I was thinking of sending the Mages only but Mikari has just informed me via telepathy that most of them were injured or exhausted from their fights so it is better to let them recover for another assignment. He said that he will be here to give a full report about what has happened soon, but we should concentrate on the task at hand first."

"From what the Department has informed, they've sent their forces to deal with the monsters around the town already. But they wanted us to deal with the area at the location where the Window situated because there is still a considerably amount of monsters there before more monsters emerge from beyond the portal. Luckily that the people have been evacuated so we don't have to worry about that. And the best time to act is tonight. A few more important things to add is that the Windows can only be seal by a White, Dark or Celestial Mage through a spell. Fortunately, that Laurence kid in your group is capable of doing this since he was both White and Dark. But I will have to 'recondition' him a bit and teach him the spell so I will have a personal meeting with him after we have assigned the students with the task, maybe this afternoon. The two of us will personally lead the students to the Window, observe their progress and deal with the high-class monster, since that creature would be too much of a challenge for the kids. But the Department also said that one of the Seven Elemental Sages might arrive in time to assist us in defeating it so there is a chance that we don't really have to destroy it ourselves." Midora concluded before tapping the clip-board on his table before handing it to Memphis, "You can read more information about the mission here. Everything that I has just listed is just my suggestion. The person who has the rights to decide what should be done is you. But I think that my plan would be the best option."

Memphis listened as the mage began to talk though the demon didn’t give much away as his expression seemed to rarely alter the entire time. "My aren’t you helpful." He quietly remarked as Midora offered to help the demon, though not completely meaning it in any disrespectful way, it was just weird having so many helpful people around him. However once the mage began to explain the whole Celestial Nexus Memphis did try to remain focused on the man, and yet, the overflow of information dulled the demons interest roughly halfway through. The demon wasn’t sure what exactly he was personally thinking about throughout the mages explanation, but once monsters were mentioned, the redhead quickly snapped back into reality – offering a few nods here and there and trying to seem interested. After all it wouldn’t be the first time the demon would’ve had to go against a monster of any kind – his master had made sure of that. Training a demon wasn’t easy, especially with Memphis, but the demon vividly remembered such moments and couldn’t help but grin as Midora continued to speak.

His focuse was lifted when his colleague gave him the clipboard, which Memphis took and glanced over briefly before addressing the mage. Though his face may not have given it away so quickly, the demon was not exactly thrilled with the newfound responsibility that had been given to him. As a frown gradually formed on his lips, and the added fidgeting with his cigarette, the redhead sat the clipboard against his lap. After all, it was his master who was suppose to take the job – it was him who the higher-ups wanted, not his demon. But Memphis was not one to disobey his master and he would only try to adjust to things as quickly as he could. When about to speak the demon silenced himself for a moment, a thought just entering his mind just then as the Headmaster rethought his words carefully.

"Well, since it is my choice, I don’t really see any issue with your plans so I will not reject them – however, I will not send the girl, Etelka, to participate in this. I have my reasons and will not be challenged over this choice, especially as she is under my supervision," His voice was slightly stern, clearly the demon meant what he said and Memphis was not one to be challenged without good reason. "The other two I will send, the mage and demon, and yes, those other two can be involved with it. Though instead of Etelka I suggest we send someone else." Though not making his mind up right away the demon pondered a little over who else to send, but he’d give it further thought before confessing his choice.

"Seven Elemental sages?" Such a thing didn’t seem familiar to the demon, or rather he just opted to pay little interest in it. Resisting the urge to chuckle the red head leaned forward from his seat, "Whether this mighty sage comes or not is of little interest to me, as I know I am perfectly capable of taking down any monster I see fit. And, as I am Headmaster of this academy, I believe it is I who has the right to do as such." Perhaps the demon would bend the rules to his liking, just a little. This new power he held could be somewhat amusing to abuse – though his master would likely give him a rollicking later, but that was another matter. He wasn’t here, so his demon had the free-will to do things as he saw rightly. Even if it meant he was a little disobedient, he'd make up for it.

"But anyway, do as you wish with Laurence if you believe it will work. This afternoon should be fine, I don’t see any issues." He said, before raising up from his seat as the demon took a few steps away from the mage and walked around a little. Just the thought of fighting monsters already had the demon a little excited – it had been a while since he had any exercise of that sort, and being stuck in the Academy all day was really dulling the demon down a bit. As he stood for a moment, down at his boots, small flames began to grow up from the ground as his thoughts turned towards the monsters and fighting. But once noticing this the demon quickly stomped them out before anything came of them. "
Sure, tonight will be alright. We will inform the students beforehand and get them prepared."

With a sigh the redhead walked over to his own desk before he sat himself down on top of it, exhaling a puff of smoke as the Headmaster glanced out of the window. "I’ll let you know who my choice is later, I’d rather not discuss it right now. Anyway, you said Mr. Akigawa is coming? He’d best not take long." With a huff, the man silenced himself and crossed his arms. It was best not to keep the Headmaster waiting.

Ruzik R.

Image

Some time had passed as Ruzik now found himself standing upright, albeit using the wall as added support as he walked down another hallway. Really he had no clue where he was going, somewhat wandering around aimlessly as he tried to avoid all figures of authority as much as he could. After all, they had stripped him of his powers and given that it was supposedly up to the Headmaster of what his punishment should be, the redhead was hardly going to sit around and wait for it, was he? If anything, he’d earn the punishment! If he had the strength.

Coming to a halt, the incubus used what energy he had and pushed a door open, finding himself at the cafeteria though thankfully not many people were around. With a sigh of relief, he staggered in, though naturally tried to laugh off his moments of uneasiness. As expected he looked hellish, given what he had gone through the demon was stubbornly persistent to not rest! And, once spotting a trio at a table, a wicked grin filled his features near immediately. Quickly sorting himself out a little the redhead tried to ignore the discomfort he felt from his injuries, using all his willpower to not drop to the ground – which was quite a desirable thing at that moment.

As he walked over the demon placed a hand onto the shoulder of the young mage, giving the boy a gentle squeeze as Ruzik teasingly leaned against the youth a little. ”Hello there.” The incubus said and flashed a sharky-grin, before pushing off the boy and walking round to make his way beside Etelka. Once there, the incubus leaned down and wrapped his arms around the demon-girl’s shoulders in the form of a tight embrace, as he perched his face quite closely to hers and whispered in her ear, ”I want you, badly.” Despite his pain the demon would never deny himself pleasure, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be given his state – but what would you expect?

Refocusing his gaze, the redhead looked over to the other red-haired demon. Quite, he truly loved those who bore the same colour as himself, or any alternative such as pink. ”You must be new here too – I’m Ruzik, you may or may not have heard of me. But, whatever any of those prats say, I’m totally not like whatever they say I am like.” Trying to play the cool, confident guy, the demon wasn’t even sure if his inner pain was obvious or not. He hoped not, as it would completely ruin any chance of fun for him. Forcing a smile the incubus returned his attention back to Etelka, putting his mouth to her ear as he whispered, ”Don’t forget we had a deal – you owe me,” Shooting a glance towards the mage-boy, the demon smirked before edging a little more closer to Etelka, and whispered again, ”Unless you want your little mage to feel the true cruelty of the world.”

Pulling away like nothing had happened the demon laughed quietly before moving away from the girl, before eagerly jumping over to beside the red-haired girl, and swung an arm round her. ”You know, you look like a girl I could hang with, so if you’re every not busy we could
get to know each other,” Rather smugly, Ruzik never even thought of the concept of someone rejecting him. With his undeniably charm, why would anyone refuse the demon? ”Maybe if you kissed me you’d find out what kind of guy I’m like, and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.” Sticking his tongue out and shifting his face closer to hers, the incubus looked to the other demon with incomparable confidence, as he waited to hear Etelka's response. It was mainly an attempt to rid his mind of the horrible fact that his powers were unusable for the moment – not that he’d share that fact, even if the talisman was so obvious to see.

Cleo Gardenia

Regardless of whether the girl took the lollipop or not, quickly after Cleo spotted Bugby against the bed – and like any animal took that as an invitation to pounce onto others. Giggling, the feline hopped over and leaped onto the unsuspecting demon as she rested her knees on either side of his waist, before peering over down at him. ”You know you shouldn’t lie on your back when there’s a cat about!” She told him in an amusing tone, before placing her hands to his stomach and lowering her face until it was just inches from his own. ”You know, you ought to be more sociable with others or else how you gonna make friends?”

Quickly poking his chest, the feline sat up and threw her hair over her shoulder. Although, a though suddenly hit her, and the girl promptly looked back down at the boy. ”Say Buggie, where did you go? You went somewhere, but you didn’t say where you went to. I’m curious – tell me, tell me!” She purred, smiling at the demon-boy as her ears flickered. ”Is it a secret? Where’d you go? You’ve not got some others friends that you’re ditching us for, have yah? Ooh, maybe it’s a girl. Tell me!” Nosily, the girl tried to interrogate her teammate into confession. Sliding down a little, the girl lay herself against his stomach as she stared down at the, most likely, uncomfortable demon. Purring loudly she gave him a cheeky wink, before running a finger down the side of his arm.”So, you gonna tell me? Or do I need to get Ichiro to try and persuade you. Or maybe even Muse!”

Midora raised an eyebrow as he heard Memphis quietly remarked, "My, aren't you helpful?" He wasn't really sure if the Demon was really mean it, or was it just sarcasm? But nonetheless, he has always tries as much as he could to help people who has higher position than him and hoping that his strength and knowledge might be useful in some ways for them. It's not really that he was that much of a sacrificing person. Midora has always been like that ever since his long lost lover (also known as his beloved Nagisa-sensei) is still with him. So, that is that. Habits are very hard to drop.

Midora leaned against his desk and crossed his arms as he waited for the Headmaster to decide what should be done. It is true that being given such responsibility for someone who hasn't much experience can quite a burden. Midora couldn't help but wondering how will the Demon decide for whatever decisions that would have bigger impact in his career. But still, he still keeping his beliefs in his old highly respected Sensei. Midora knows that he has had lesser responsibility on his shoulders for now, but still, he needs to follow the path that he has chosen to walk on.

"Well, since it is my choice, I don’t really see any issue with your plans so I will not reject them – however, I will not send the girl, Etelka, to participate in this. I have my reasons and will not be challenged over this choice, especially as she is under my supervision. The other two I will send, the mage and demon, and yes, those other two can be involved with it. Though instead of Etelka I suggest we send someone else." Memphis spoke with a rather, firm tone, showing that he did have determination in his decisions. Midora merely nodded in acceptance. Perhaps he could understand a few reasons why Memphis decided not to send Etelka on this mission but there might be more than that. However, that is of course, none of his concerns.

"Seven Elemental sages? Whether this mighty sage comes or not is of little interest to me, as I know I am perfectly capable of taking down any monster I see fit. And, as I am Headmaster of this academy, I believe it is I who has the right to do as such." It was... a bit surprising for Midora to hear that Memphis actually didn't know about the Sages. So, Sensei didn't tell him anything about it? He raised an eyebrow as he listened to the rest of what the Demon wanted to say. As he talks, Midora can clearly few some small eruption came from his boss, which puts him on his guard a bit. But it seems that Memphis did realize them and put them out. Midora sighed a bit. He was a bit too cautious, yeah, but after all that he has went through in his life, that is just an instinct.

"I’ll let you know who my choice is later, I’d rather not discuss it right now. Anyway, you said Mr. Akigawa is coming? He’d best not take long." Memphis said as he exhaled a puff of smoke. Midora didn't really understand on why did the old Mage allow his Demon to smoke that freely. He still hasn't forgot how annoying smoking would be to his Sensei by the way he emphasized that every of his staffs and students back at his school mustn't smoke within the school's campus. It seemed that the must really has meanings for him. Still, it was someone else's habit and it doesn't really much of a bother to Midora so he figures that it is best not to give any comments about it.

Midora went back to his chair as he spoke up, "Mikari is on his way already so don't worry. A few problems had happened and he is the on-duty Teacher this morning so he has to taken care of them. Our Academy has a whole lot more students other than the newly transferred students, you know." He leaned on the back of his chair as he looked up to the ceiling of the Office. "In the meanwhile, I think you might be interested to hear about the Sages which I've mentioned earlier a bit, huh? I was a bit surprise that Sensei never told you anything about it. After all, your master has a strong connection with them, or should I say more correctly, us."

When he seemingly received interests from the person whom he is talking to, Midora continued, "The Seven Elemental Sages are a group consists of the 7 Mages that are considered as the top of elites of the nations. Each of the Mage specializes in an element from the 7 basic elements of this world. It is true that most people in the time of peace didn't know or hear about them. But during times that the world was in chaos, they are the ones who will stand up and resolved all conflicts, defeated any individuals that wanted to ignite the wars." Midora gave the Demon a glance, "And the person who has founded this group is no one other than Akisa Hirukawa, the Legendary Celestian - your master."

Midora paused a bit before going on with his story to catch his breath, "The first generation of the Sages has all retired after their victories, but Sensei himself along with his colleagues had selected another seven Elite Mages that will carry on their legend should the wars happened again as the second generation." He sighed rather depressingly, "I, Midora Kurayami, or some people in the past might called me as "The Bringer of Desolation", was chosen to be one of the Sages. I became Yami no Seiji, or the Sage of Darkness. But it's not like that I wanted to earn such titles. So far only Mikari knows about this but I don't really mind sharing it. I was going to turned your master's offer down, but I accepted to keep a promise that I once made with a person who is very meaningful to me."

He smiled a little when he mentioned of that person, "When not needed, the Sages will just live on a normal life as their hearts desired. As far as I know, some of us applied to the Ministry of Magic and became high-ranked Officers, while the others, like me, will just lead on a normal life and no one knows that we are the bearer of such entities. You have the rights to do whatever you see justifiable, but the Sage that might arrive tonight is one of those "higher-ups" that we mentioned earlier. It's not very wise to mess with someone with authority beyond your decisions so you get the idea. I know that you might don't like it, but that is just a small piece of advice."

As Midora just finished his sentence, there were some knocks on the door and the blue-haired Mage Teacher walked in. "Sorry for keeping you two waiting, it was rather crowded." Mikari said with a smile as he closed the door and approached the two. He stood in front of Memphis as he began to report, "Dora-sensei here might have told you that a couple of problems have had happened with the remaining group of students that was put under Ms. Sarah's and my supervision. The fight went on quite normal at first, but I can feel their killing intents right at the first place. As the results, Kou and Kasumi were exhausted and was now being taking care of at the infirmary. However, what has gone out of control is that Liliane and Ruzik lost control of their own bloodlust and almost going on a killing spree if we didn't manage to intervened fast enough. From what I've observed, Ruzik was about to get Kasumi even when she is down. And after that, Liliane almost killed Ruzik with her ability." Mikari said in a rather displeased tone about what has happened during the session, "I've sealed both of their powers in accordance to the rules. I've taken Liliane to the detention room where Ms. Sarah is looking after her, while Ruzik who was pretty in a dangerous state so I've put him in the infirmary, but he's probably recover a bit now and he has wandered off somewhere, but I can get him later."

After listening to what his friend has said, Midora spoke up, "Looks like we got two students that had severely violated the regulations of no killing. According to the rules, further decisions on what to do with them will be made by the Headmaster, which is you." He said as he stood up and moved away from his desk, "To avoid anything like this from happening again, you don't have to show them mercy. Just give them what they deserved to get. It is almost lunch break by now so we should deal with this soon." Then the two Dark Mages stood next to each other in front of their boss, waiting for him to make his moves.

Memphis looked directly to Midora as the mage spoke so fondly of his master, enlightening the demon of many otherwise unknown qualities of his owner. However, though his closeness with the elderly mage his demon rarely expressed such fondness towards the man unlike his old students. Despite being almost completely obedient to the old man - most of the time, Memphis would rarely utter a word of affection of the mage that raised him. Not that he truly did not care for him, it wasn’t like that at all, and if anything their relationship was quite an emotional one though such things were best kept to only between the mage and demon.

The demon was surprised to know that his master was the founder of The Seven Elemental Sages, almost near instantly he had a newfound respect for the magic-wielders though that would only go so far. He wouldn’t outright cause trouble with them knowing their ties to his mage, but that didn’t mean he’d roll-over for them either. Although, it was clear Midora was surprised by hearing that Memphis knew little of this organization, as he seemingly thought his teacher would have told the demon but evidently not.

Little did many know that the old mage had done this purposely to shelter the demon from the outside world, and keep his knowledge of his master to a complete minimum - as when raising a demon you should never tell them you have power, as they will inevitably seek it. So, to avoid trouble, Memphis rarely knew much of the influence that his master held and was raised to view the man as an equal. As to him the old mage was just that – an old mage, someone who raised him, told him off, amused him, and so forth. He certainly wasn’t this big great mighty mage that so many had claimed him to be, heh. Though it may not have seemed it, Memphis was once a small, weak little demon. At one point he could barely form a full flame and had to be carried over pools of water to ensure he wouldn’t burn out quickly. But now, after years of harsh taming and raising, he is by far a better demon now and ever before – he is thankful to his mage for that, at least.

As he continued to listen the demon just puffed away on his cigarette and eyed the mage carefully. Memphis tried to take in the information, as weird as it may have sounded to him, and attempted to piece together the one of likely many mysterious to be revealed of his master. "So that crazy old guy formed the Seven Elemental Sages, or whatever it is. I guess that could explain some of his sudden absences when he would have to leave on some ‘business’, though he never talked about it. Whenever he was gone I would have to stay inside." Sighing, Memphis slid off his desk and watched as his cigarette burned out completely from his lips. He had been given a lot to think about in regards to his master, though in a weird way it felt like the mages knew more of the old man than he did, which was uncomfortably surprising.

Midora offered some advice to the demon on how he shouldn’t mess with those that held a high authority to himself, but only time would tell if he truly followed it or not. Moments after Mikari entered and reported the Headmaster. Memphis listened to what the mage said, a tired sigh escaping him as the thought of out-of-control students was the last thing the Headmaster wanted to hear about, mainly as it most certainly meant there would be trouble to follow. Once Mikari had finished, Midora also spoke up. The demon waited until all was said before calmly giving his own opinions.

"You acted rightly in sealing their powers, I don’t suppose they’ll be much of a threat now so long as their unable to actually kill each other, " He began, digging out another cigarette as he sat it against the corner of his mouth. At least for now things could not get much worse, but now the demon was expected to punish these two students? Memphis had never punished someone, at least not in these circumstances. As he took a few minutes to gather his thoughts the Headmaster continued some time after with, "I believe the best course of action to take with the demon, Ruzik, is to have his powers sealed indefinitely until he has earned them back. He will have to adapt without them and he might even learn a lesson from it through losing his powers. As it is Ruzik cannot be allowed nor trusted with his abilities as I am aware that there are some issues with him, so for now he will remain powerless until he shows signs of improvement and effort on his part. Otherwise he will not last long at this academy,” Memphis then looked to the blue-haired mage and added, "However as his supervising teacher, Mr. Akigawa, I will leave it up to you to decide when the incubus has finally ‘learned his lesson’. It will not be easy as he will not accept it so willingly, I’m sure, but I believe with enough encouragement he will change for the better in time so long as you push him in the right direction.”

His thoughts then moved onto the mage who had seemingly tried to kill the incubus, but for what reason he had yet to be told. "As for the mage I believe this whole thing was more than just a blood-thirsty attack, there must be some reason as to why she would go for the demon. After all, I don’t think I have often heard of a mage attacking a demon, usually it is the other way around so I think I’d like to investigate this a little more," Pausing, the demon thought quietly over it. He knew the other demon teacher was already down there with the mage student, and Memphis thought it could work, as he looked to the mages before him. "I will go and speak with the mage who is with Miss Rayne just now, you two, Mr. Kurayami and Mr. Akigawa, will speak to the demon and inform him of what will be happening to him. I would suggest you deal with the student as you see fit, however some understanding would not go amiss either. These students need to understand why their being punished, but we must also understand them and why they do what they have done. Otherwise they will not get better without guidance, you understand? I will inform Lilliane of her punishment once I am with Miss Rayne." With that all said the Headmaster gave a nod to the two mages before making his way to the door. He hoped they understood what he meant, and agreed with his way of dealing with things. Memphis knew what he was doing and was sure the troubles of the students could cease once things had been dealt with. "Oh, but should any more outbursts happen then find me and I will deal with the student by myself. Though I assume you both are more than capable with dealing with any issues." Taking his leave the demon left the office and made his way to the detention room.

It didn’t take long until he arrived and entered the room promptly, eying up Miss Rayne briefly before he focused his attention towards the mage in question. Grabbing a seat he sat across from her, staring directly at the girl. "So you are the mage who tried to kill a demon, are you?" He asked though knew it anyway, narrowing his eyes just a little as he edged closer to the young mage and rested his elbows against the desk – making sure he didn’t smoke around the girl, just to make her a little more comfortable around him. "Before I tell you what your punishment is for such an act, I want to ask you a few questions. Mainly, why you did it? Was it provoked, or did you just do it for fun? Is there some issue between you two that I should know about?"

Memphis didn’t like the idea of a mage striking a demon, though it wasn’t like he was accepting of it the other way about. As Headmaster he had to have an open mind and not judge others through the perspective of a demon, but as an authority figure. "Do not be mislead, Ruzik will be punished too. He has his own flaws that won’t go unnoticed, but the fact still remains you tried to end his life, but what is your reason for it? It had better be good, mage. I’m sure you’ve spoken to Miss Rayne already, but as Headmaster it is my responsibility to deal with such issues, so it is in your best interest to be as open and honest with me as must as possible, do you understand?" Pausing himself he awaited her response, though the demon was surprisingly calm with the girl so perhaps it would aid in getting to understand her better, and resolve any issues she had.

Ruzik R.

Ruzik cared little to look at the demon as she entered the bathroom, his attention more focused on the blood in his mouth and the attempts he tried to spit it out. But what did grab his attention was when the girl slammed her fist into the mirror, causing the redhead to step back quickly though remained near the sink. As he looked to Etelka the demon-girl appeared weird at that moment as she held a shard of glass and examined it. Ruzik almost thought she was going to aim it for him! But thankfully not.

She spoke oddly too, telling of murderous intentions as she waffled on though the incubus barely raised a brow. He cared not for what she did, or to whom. Though it wasn’t surprising that the thought of him being her next victim had crossed his mind quietly – as the girl did have issues with him, but who didn’t? Soon enough she began to leave and the redhead was otherwise unaffected by her words, at least until she mentioned a particular rabbit-demon which caused the incubus to turn round more fully to face the other demon.

”You go near her and I’ll kill you.” He spat out to the demon, a perhaps clichĂ© comeback however it served its purpose. He was serious and meant it, his carefree nature fading as an actual look of concern crossed his features. Would Etelka go after Kou? They use to be teammates so why the sudden threats? Was it solely because of him? Ruzik refrained from going after the demon and bit his tongue for now, metaphorically, as he figured he’d had enough with getting beaten down for one day. But for sure he would get Etelka back for the threat - soon enough. ”Like I’m scared of you, Etelka.” He scoffed to himself and quickly took his leave from the bathroom soon after, avoiding contact with everyone he passed as the redhead snuck around the hallways undetected, or so he believed.

There was only one place he was going to surprisingly, as it turned out to be the infirmary. A place he hated yet felt compelled to venture to for the sake of another. Once there, he peered in through the door to see still a good few amounts of student bodies busying the place. Whether anyone saw him or not he didn’t care, as the incubus made his way through the area though tried to keep a low profile – despite how rough he looked, with his injuries and bloodied mouth, the redhead was trying to blend in. Soon enough he found what he was looking for and snuck through the curtained wall to find his little rabbit. She was on a bed laying still, though whether she was awake or not he couldn’t tell from his angle, and yet as he look upon the wounded girl, even Ruzik felt a small ounce of guilt.

”Kou,” He whispered, slowly moving himself round before taking a seat on a stool close-by the bed. Unsure if the rabbit even wanted to speak to him, or even if she was even conscious at that moment, Ruzik didn’t really care either way as he was quite frankly out of options for company. No one wanted to be around him it seemed, and in all truth the redhead had never felt as much hatred and displeasure towards him since coming to the Academy. Maybe it was getting it him more than he dared let on, but he’d never admit it. He was Ruzik after all, he had an image to uphold and a reputation.

Looking down at the rabbit-demon as she lay on the bed the incubus, without really thinking, grabbed her hand and held it in his own gently. He couldn’t quite believe it himself for a moment, but since they were hidden from the sights of others it sort-of made it alright as no one would see it. ”I’m
sorry for what I did, I guess. I didn’t mean for you to end up here. I hope you know that and we can start afresh again, or whatever.” He even chuckled a little to his words, though he quickly silenced himself once he realized. Ruzik didn’t want to appear too normal after all, it wasn’t his style and it was just plain unnatural. But Kou always brought out an odd side to the incubus, at least for a short amount time before Ruzik inevitably resorted back to his usual ways. He couldn’t help it. That was the demons downfall, amongst other things, was the fact that he was too much himself. But for now he wasn’t entirely, the demon was tired, in pain and clearly suffering in some form, and once more he was more wary of his enemies now.

”Kou, if you forgive me, I promise to change and be faithful to you. I-I’ll fight my feelings and urges, and I’ll try to have more self-control,” The girl was the only one to ever like him, or accept him more correctly even if she too held some form of disliking for him, but he was fine with that. She was worth it in his eyes, and perhaps just maybe he’d be up to the challenge of being faithful for once in his life. Though knowing Ruzik things would only have to get worse before they ever began to get better. ”Etelka no longer wants me, she said we’re through and our deal is terminated. S-So if I need anything, you said I could come to you, remember?”

Releasing her hand for a moment the male appeared to fidget a little on his seat, so much so that he ended up standing and peered over Kou, as he looked down at her. Even though injured the girl was still a marvelous sight to behold, and though the improper timing of it, Ruzik couldn’t help but chance his luck. Leaning down he got closer to one of her ears and whispered, ”I was thinking whilst we’re here, and though you’re a little out of action at the moment, that we could
you know, right here?” His insinuations were obvious enough, but it was hardly surprising. He was an incubus after all and that pill Mikari had given him didn’t help things, even if it had worn off considerably by now – some effects were still playing away at the demon.

The headmaster stepped in and looked at Sarah briefly. She quickly stepped back to let him do what he came to do and he took a seat in front of the chair Liliane sat in.

"So you are the mage who tried to kill a demon, are you?" Lili didn't answer. She knew it was a rhetorical question. Memphis knew as well for his pause was small before he continued. "Before I tell you what your punishment is for such an act, I want to ask you a few questions. Mainly, why you did it? Was it provoked, or did you just do it for fun? Is there some issue between you two that I should know about? Do not be misled, Ruzik will be punished too. I’m sure you’ve spoken to Miss Rayne already, but as Headmaster it is my responsibility to deal with such issues, so it is in your best interest to be as open and honest with me as must as possible, do you understand?" Lili stared at the headmaster with unwavering eyes for a moment.

"I have a strong dislike for his kind. Let alone Ruzik as an individual. I also have a strong dislike for him alone. His kind is the cause for me being this way. My mother's death and the years of strict training and shaping and experimenting I went through. If I end that demon's life then I'm helping everyone, whether they see it now or not. He won't take anyone's life through lust and manipulating them against their will. The world would be better if Succubi were wiped out."

"Liliane, surely you can't truly think them as a lesser species. If you killed them off wouldn't you feel anything for committing an act of genocide?" Sarah cut in.

"Then answer me this Ms. Rayne. Do you feel anything when you burn your garbage? When you take out the trash? That's all this is. Liliane paused for a moment taking a breath before continuing. "Ruzik give me a challenge before the exercise. He said that whoever wins may do what they want to the other. If he won, he said he'd seduce me in the way Succubi do. Like what they did to my mother. My prize for winning would be his life." Liliane shifted her eyes between the two instructors. "If you want to be upset at someone then be upset at him. He made the deal and I still expect my prize. And for the record, I don't need my powers to kill. It just makes it quick. But if you order me not to kill him then I can hold off on my prize while on school grounds to adhere to your rules. That is unless he tries something. If he so much as looks at me wrong I might feel inclined to take his life despite what I promised. It's how I am. I was taught to complete missions. To follow through our deal with killing him is an unfinished mission and it's gnawing at me." Liliane folded her arms and wondered what punishment she would receive. The Headmaster asked for the truth and Lili gave him the full thing. Now to wait and see what would be the consequences.

Memphis listened to the girl and held his silence for the duration as she spoke, figuring that was the better approach as he thought over his words in the meantime. Although, the other teacher had spoke up also, peaking the man’s interest a little. A moment later though he refocused on the young mage. "Hating a demon for what they are, without even knowing them, is a bit harsh do you not think? I realize this whole issue with your
mother, and all that followed must have been painful, but you must understand that Ruzik played no hand in those events so he is perfectly innocent." He spoke up softly, gradually easing his point across without hopefully setting the girl off. "It’s unfortunately that you happen to be placed in an environment where one of those demons happens to also be put within, but that doesn’t give you the right to single-handedly try to eliminate either him, or his kind."

Memphis narrowed his eyes just a little, showing that he was serious with his words, though the man could also perfectly understood her reasons – but given his position it wasn’t an option to allow the mage to go off on her revenge-hunt, and so it simply would not be happening whilst under his academy roof. "You are forbidden from killing him, or any student. Be it here or elsewhere off these grounds, I will not stand by and idly watch you take-out my students, is that understood? Revenge is one thing, reasons for it are another, that you have yet to clearly grasp." Of course, after listening to this girl Memphis knew she would not willingly accept this, would she? He couldn’t afford for another incident to happen, especially if it was a fatal one. "Just to make myself clear, should you take further action against Ruzik then I will be forced to take my own action. Meaning, as she is your supervising teacher, Miss Rayne will suffer as consequence to your foolish choices. Now, understand me?"

Giving little away the demon rose to his feet and rested his hands against the table, his stare directed down at the young mage before him, as he studied her briefly for a moment to see her response. "If it is of any interest to you, Ruzik will remain powerless indefinitely until he has proved himself to us. So, I don’t imagine he will be any threat now, does that help? I mean, feel free to keep an eye on him if you must but should he do anything that is otherwise not-good, then tell a teacher – do not act upon it yourself, is that clear?"

Raising a brow, the redhead leaned off the table and stood upright. He briefly gave the older woman a glance, and then turned back to the girl. "Your punishment will be this – your powers will remain sealed for the remainder of the day, which isn't that long, right? And then you will have to apologize to Ruzik for what you did to him. You must accept that he is nothing to do with your mother, you cannot force your hatred onto him just because he is of the same species. I won’t tolerate that. Now, are we in an understanding, Lilliane?"

Ruzik R.

Ruzik remained by Kou’s side, eventually managing to sit himself down again as he got control of himself once more. Surprisingly though, his hand never left hers, and for once he was calm. There wasn’t anything to irk him, nothing to distract him and urge him on, and perhaps he even enjoyed it a bit. Though if only Kou was not in the state she was, it might have been just a bit better. But still, he’d savor it in some odd way, he supposed. Of course, once his mind had stopped tempting the incubus to pounce on the girl, that was.

The demon had decided that he would not follow his temptations so blindly, Kou was injured and needed rest, and what she certainly didn’t need was him getting his way again. Not like this at least. So no, he would not indulge himself but rather distract his thoughts and try to keep himself in line. ”Can’t believe you girls bet me, seriously. I guess I should be lucky that mage-girl let me live, I think. Not that she wanted to.” The redhead sighed a little, quietly, whilst thinking of the moment. Ruzik couldn’t quit remember everything exactly as he had lost consciousness part-way through, embarrassingly. ”But still, a win is a win I guess, I’ll just have to try harder next time.”

Resting his head down against her hand the redhead closed his eyes for a few minutes, taking a chance to get a brief moment of rest himself since he’d been staggering all over the place since waking up – not to mention getting his tongue bit! Shrugging off the pain, the incubus exhaled a tired breath. He really needed to not be so reckless in the future. He concluded, narrowing his gaze a little. Just then, sitting up promptly the demon had a thought and quickly got to his feet. Rummaging around the small cupboard next to the bed the redhead picked something up, carrying it out before throwing it over the rabbit-demon. It was a small blanket, since there’s usually always one kicking about somewhere, and Ruzik realized the girl looked a bit cold since she lacked proper clothing – so he figured he’d do something nice for a chance.

”I hope that keeps you warm. Maybe not as much as I would’ve kept you warm, but I guess
this is better, for now.” He assured her, though perhaps he was trying to reassure himself more, and his shameless needs. Forcing himself back down the demon kept a constant vigil over the girl as she rested, like a faithful guard dog he was, he’d never let anyone harm her again. Not on his watch. But, he’d best not make it obvious and give the girl a reason to worry, not that she needed anymore with him!

Cleo Gardenia

Cleo just laughed at Bugby in a teasing manner before pushing herself off the bed. ”Sure, whatever you say Buggie.” She purred, though not long after another boy approached them, an unfamiliar one, though she could have sworn she had in fact seen him somewhere. Thankfully, the boy recognized them and mentioned that he was from their class, so at least that was something!

He looked a state however, and quickly Cleo grabbed the boy and plopped him onto the bed that Ichiro was on. ”What happened to you?” The feline asked, knowing Muse was going to fetch the nurse. Tilting her head just a little the girl examined his face a little, resting her hands to her hips. ”Did something bite you? That looks nasty, sort of.” Taking a step back Cleo looked the young boy over, noticing the blood stains covering him, and she couldn’t help but wonder what the hell had happened to the poor boy. ”Well, you’re safe now kid. I’m Cleo, and these guys are my friends so you’re welcome to stay here with us for a bit, ‘till you get seen to.”

Giving the boy a smile the feline purred a little, watching the youth briefly before wondering, ”Say, are you a mage? I know you said you’re new here, but you remind me of Ichiro a little so I figured it must be a mage thing, after all you don’t look like a demon.” The girl laughed a little before looking away momentarily, seeing if Muse had found the nurse yet, or not.

Hive

“Those who feel they must control displease us.” Hive answered the headmaster, but their conversation wasn't long-lived. The idea of a good mage would otherwise have had Hive rolling over the floor laughing, but Memphis had a strange and feral air about him. The way he spoke was in dissonance with the idea of him being yet another dog. Hive's thoughts briefly drifted to Liliane when the new headmaster spoke of mages just like demons... Hive had been motivated to approach her because of a connection he'd felt... But even so, Liliane thought in a manner that was far different from his.

When Cleo approached enthusiastically, Hive could hardly muster to tell her the truth. “Most of it.” He said honestly, but the headmaster had distracted him from the conclusion. It was difficult lying to Cleo's way of inquisition, so Hive remained silent to her question whether he was doing okay.

“We'll be seeing you.” Hive waved back at Cleo. He did miss hanging out with his old friend, but didn't care much for Ichiro if Hive was honest. What worried him more that it could have been Cleo needing a nurse.A ladybug peeled itself from Hive's skin, and it chased after Cleo, but Hive himself would stay seated for the time being... He needed some time to think.

Ichiro was not the only one who had needed medical attention after the exercise. The girl Hive had seemed to recognise was called to help, although she did not seem to be very good at it. Hive made himself scarce before he would be called in as well. He'd lay low... For a little. So much was happening and not even his hivemind was keeping track of it anymore.

As Liliane listened to the Headmaster's words she could feel her body temperature rising. She knew this reaction was only produced by either love or anger. She was sure her emotions were tied to anger. She was being told that Succubi's kind were innocent. That Ruzik had nothing to do with her mother's death. That was a point that couldn't be argued over. There was insufficient evidence to know whether Ruzik was guilty of the death of Lili's mother.

Then the Headmaster seemed to make a kind of indirect threat to Ms. Rayne. Even she looked at Memphis with widened eyes. Did he know that Liliane held a kind of fondness for the teacher? Liliane curled her hand into fist. How dare he use someone else as a means to punish her? This was no different than what happened to her mother. Lili's mother died so that the girl could live.

And then the man placed the final nail on the coffin. He ordered Liliane to apologize to the Incubus.

"You must accept that he is nothing to do with your mother, you cannot force your hatred onto him just because he is of the same species. I won’t tolerate that. Now, are we in an understanding, Lilliane?" Lili sat in silence. She wish she didn't leave her mother's mask in the other class. It was the only thing that suppressed her emotions immediately.

Sarah walked up and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"It's okay, Liliane. Just think things through one step at a time. In situations like these looking at the full picture can, probably, be too much. For now just try remembering that Ruzik, most likely, had nothing to do with anything that happened to you. He's just another student here at the academy. You may have had a disagreement but you bested him. He is no threat to you."

To Lili's surprise she could feel herself getting calmer. She closed her eyes briefly to clear her head before looking at the Headmaster.

"I understand. I am sorry for any inconvenience that I have brought you or any of the staff. If it is alright I would like to go on ahead and give my apologies to Ruzik." Sarah smiled. Liliane seemed to let some steam off and back to her usual self. The anger in her eyes earlier was more than intense and didn't like the look it gave on the young girls face. It made her seem like more than a mage-student at the academy. Those eyes briefly held the same look as a killer's. Liliane stood from her desk and made her way past the Headmaster and towards the door.

"If you will excuse me, I will take my leave." As Liliane closed the door behind herself Sarah turned towards Memphis. Her expression changed. She was quite displeased with one thing the demon had said earlier.

"What the heck was that? If Liliane doesn't adhere to your demands then I'm punished? I understand I hold responsibility over my own group of students but the way you stated that rule may have been a little intense. She seemed to have taken it as a threat. Remember, she's a former militarized fighter. Try not to set her off." Sarah pulled out her cigarette pack, absentmindedly, and saw that she was almost empty. "Sorry about that. I just feel protective of her. She doesn't really have anyone to lean on at the moment." Sarah looked at her watched. "How much time until the next session?

----------------------------------------------

As Liliane walked through the halls she was mentally kicking herself for not asking for Ruzik's location. It was bad enough to have to apologize to the demon. Now she had to dread every corner and every door she opened. She didn't want to run into him and not be ready for it. And god forbid he make a smart remark when she did catch him. Right now her mind was calm but if she were to be set off again she would make sure no one would interfere a second time.

Lili shortly came to a door with a sign above it reading "Infirmary." He was carried off due to injuries. This was a good place to start as any. As she opened the door she saw that the infirmary held many students. Pretty much all of the students from her class were there. Lili saw what looked like the nurse and quickly walked up to the lady.

"Excuse me, ma'am. Has a demon by the name of Ruzik been through this way? He has red hair and glasses. He's of the Succubi species. I need to speak to him."

Memphis watched the young mage-girl rise from her seat, even apologizing to him which was appreciated. The demon simply gave a nod of acknowledgment to Liliane, as she took her leave and left the room altogether. Sighing a little to himself, Memphis thought that was it over with until he heard Miss Rayne just then, gaining his attention quickly.

"Every action has a consequence and affects those around them. Once she realizes that then the girl will think twice before causing trouble, which is what I want. It was merely a play of words rather than a call to action, Miss Rayne." The redhead replied quite tonelessly, clearly disregarding any form of concern. However the girl took his words was of little interest to him, if she accepted it as a threat then good, it only showed how serious he was then. "Worry not, no harm shall come to you. I am merely trying to teach the girl a lesson, as well as Ruzik. I cannot afford for those two to kick off again so I will do what I must, I hope you understand. Though your influence seems to prove well with that girl, I’d much prefer it if you could keep her in line and guide her, therefore I would not have to deal with her myself. I’m sure Liliane may enjoy that more than having to see me."

He watched the woman pull out what looked like a cigarette pack, surprisingly. He hadn’t seen many others smoke beside himself, if anyone at all. "You smoke?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. However his curiosity was short lived when remembering the woman’s other question, to which he replied, "I will be calling the students back to class right now actually, at least those who are still able to, given the first exercise. I’m going to go to my office and put an announcement out, so when you’re ready head back to class. I’ll see you there Miss Rayne."

With that said the demon turned and quickly left the room, making his way up to his office to use the academy’s intercom system since he’d gotten quite use to it. It didn’t take the redhead long to reach his office, and once there he walked over to his desk and pushed down on the small device. "Attention students, all those who are part of the Headmasters class should head back now – those who are fit and well, that is. You are expected here sharp-ish, do not doddle."

Standing back, the Headmaster then left his office just as speedily as he hurried along the hallways and made his way to the classroom. Once there, he entered the room calmly and sat himself at the desk. Hopefully there would be enough students, though the exercises had taken turned he had not expected surprisingly. But still, he would wait and see.

Cleo Gardenia

Cleo watched as the nurse got to work on the mage-boy, she truly was fascinated by the woman’s abilities, however she knew such things were too advanced for her to comprehend. Instead she just watched, and once the nurse was done Cleo peered over the woman to see her handiwork. The mage looked as good as new which still amazed her, and when allowed she got in close to study his face.

”You look great, eh
what’s your name? Haha, I didn't even ask! How silly.” The feline asked when realized she hadn’t, smiling to the boy as she excitedly awaited his answer. Looking over him once more Cleo stepped back, turning her gaze to her demon teammate, or she would have but he seemed distracted by muse over beside the wall, though as to what was going on the feline didn’t know. Instead, she looked to Ichiro and skipped over to her mage. When about to say something a voice erupted in the air from the intercoms, she quickly recognized it to be the Headmaster. "Attention students, all those who are part of the Headmasters class should head back now – those who are fit and well, that is. You are expected here sharp-ish, do not doddle."

Cleo then quickly turned back to Ichiro. ”Hey, Ichiro, are you fit and well? Can you go to class. I don’t mind hanging around here if you’re not, but if you are, then we can go. We can drag Bugby with us too, though he looks busy with that other girl, surprisingly.” She purred and gazed at her mage with a goofy smile.

Ichiro sat quietly resting his eyes as Bugby asked what had happened between him and the former Headmaster. Flinching at the question he laid still, quietly hoping that Bugby would just move onto something else. As Ichiro was really not in the mood to answer or lie his way out of the question. The distraction he wanted showed up just in time, in the form of another student who seemed to draw both Bugby's and Cleo's attention away from the question. Though the boy looked oddly familiar, he looked kind of similar to the one in their class who was new this morning.

Standing as he watched the Nurse keep administering aid one after another. It seemed as if people getting hurt was all to common here at this school. Watching as she finished healing the new kid, it seemed he was all fixed up, though Ichiro wondered what Demon would have bit him? Looking over he spotted Bugby talking with Muse, and he couldn't help, but grin as he wanted to mess with him. Though not really in the mood right now, he returned to looking over at Cleo and listening in on her conversation with the new kid who happened to be a mage as well it seemed.

Thinking to himself for a bit, he looked up to notice Cleo heading his way just as the headmaster made an announcement. Returning his attention to Cleo after as to answer her question. "Ya, I feel better then ever. I can escort you to class right now if you want to go? Oh leave Bugby to me, I'll ask him right now." Saying with a grin while looking over at Bugby and Muse. He hadn't been in the mood to mess with them before, but now he was. "Bugby, Muse, do Cleo and I need to walk you back to class so that you don't sneak off together. You two seem to be having a very intimate moment it seems. Though remember school comes before "those" kinds of things Bugby, I thought Cleo and I taught you better." He said in a joking manner. Being clearly blatant about what he was implying.

Finally being in a real bed after days of uncomfortable travel and enjoying the pleasant aftermath of her time with Etelka, DĂșyĂš desperately wished to ignore the announcement of their next class that rang out through the entirety of the academy. After delaying for some time she heaved a sigh and finally pushed herself up to her feet. Her eyes squinted in discomfort as she flicked the lights in the room back on and headed into the bathroom to wash her face and fix her hair. Soon after she went about slipping into a new set of underwear and a new dress before donning her loose brown coat and heading out of the dorm, flipping off the light and shutting the door behind her.

Looking none too pleased she tucked her hands away into her coat pockets and made way for the classroom she had found earlier that morning. The halls were mostly empty, it seemed a majority of the students had more promptly made their way to class but DĂșyĂš nonetheless didn't feel in much of a rush. After some time she arrived at the classroom, another sigh pushing its way through her lips as she slid the door open and stepped inside. It seemed class had yet to start, oh joy. Her gaze immediately turned to the headmaster, less ireful than it had been before as her nose detected no presence of the disgusting smoke from this morning. With that out of the way her gaze turned back to the several mages and demons who sat about the room, once she located Laurence and Etelka however she simply made a straight line for them.

She took her seat without a word and glanced between the two, mostly checking to see if Laurence's face had been tended to, and it looked like it had. Already feeling boredom creep in she leaned forward onto the desk, "Smokey over there said anything about what we're doing yet?" she asked to the both of them before her gaze turned more decidedly to Etelka, a slight grin on her lips. "Was fun dear, don't hesitate to ask if you'd like to go again in the future."

Memphis watched as the room filled up gradually, rarely uttering a single word nor moving as he kept his being seated indefinitely. At some point he noticed Midora arriving, giving out a faint sigh of quiet relief as at least now he wasn’t alone with the class – not that the students bothered him to that extreme, but it was strangely reassuring to know there was other members of staff nearby in case they should be needed. Likewise Miss Rayne appeared and took her place at the front with him.

With the thought pushed aside however the red-haired demon rose from his seat and calmly walked around the desk before placing himself in front of the seated students. With either hand sat against the side of his waist the man gave quite an emotionless stare to the youths, though perhaps that was mainly due to the fact he didn’t have a cigarette and was a little lost as to what to do with himself without a smoke on-hand.

"Well, let me start by saying you all did well on your exercise this morning. I am actually quite surprised to see so many of you back here right now," He began, though it was a little too much effort for the demon to force a smile. "That was just a tiny ouch of what will be thrown at you to come in your time at this academy. So, work on your groups and bond more, as you will certainly require each other in the exercises to come." With the brief moment of praise over, the Headmaster shifted his weight from side to side momentarily as he thought quietly for a few seconds. Once that was done, he cleared his throat slightly. "Now, I have asked you here for two things, mainly. One being what some of you will be doing now, and secondly what the rest of you will be doing tonight."

Pausing, he let the wonder and curiosity set into their minds before continuing. "As I said, there will be a special task given out to a few select individuals. Those students are as followed – Laurence Snow, DĂșyĂš, Muse, Hive, Ichiro Ogura and Cleo Gardenia. Those whose names I’ve mentioned will speak with me and Mr. Kurayami shortly, in private. You will be briefed then on what it entails, and we will prepare you for this task soon enough. However, all I ask is that you remain seated for now until we are ready to speak with you. As I must ensure the remaining students are set with their task first." Memphis gave Midora a quick glance, as he revealed his chosen students and even added another one to the bunch – but the demon knew what he was doing. He had thought about it, and stuck with his decision.

Readjusting himself, the demon clasped his hands together as he addressed the other half of the class – meaning those who were not part of the special mission. "You remaining five – Kou, Ruzik, Etelka, Liliane and Bugby will be partaking in a different task. Though soon there is to be six of you once our newest student arrives, I’m sure both Kou and Ruzik have been informed of their new mage – Lapidus?" Glancing to the door, the red-haired demon began to wonder when his newest arrival would actually arrive. He had told the boy to be there early but clearly that had not happened, but he was sure the mage would appear soon enough. Quickly though he returned his attention o the students. "As I was saying. You all will be undergoing a knock-down challenge and will be split into two groups - the first person from each group to knock-down both their teammates will earn a special reward of their choice. I believe this to be quite a fun game, especially when grouped with those you are not entirely familiar with."

Walking closer the Headmaster looked to the individual students who he was talking to, eyeing them up as he thought. "Group 1 will be Bugby, Etelka and Liliane. Meaning Group 2 will be of Kou, Ruzik and Lapidus." Giving a slight nod the demon walked back over to his desk and rested against its side as he addressed the students. "That is all. Those who are doing the knock-down challenge should make their way outside to the training area to begin." He said and pointed to the door. "It’s a simple game, the aim is to knock both your opponents down - however you are only allowed to hit each person once. If you fail to knock them over with that one hit then you lose and will be disqualified - in turn giving a point to your opponents. But by all means use your abilities to their best and avoid getting hit for as long as you can - those who do not have any powers currently will have to adapt. Think wisely, move quickly and do your best. Oh, and best remember – any form of cheating or lack of participating will result in punishment, both you and your partners." Looking away he turned to the others, " And those who aren’t, as said, should stay seated."

Moving once more, Memphis walked over to Miss Rayne and spoke to her quietly. "If you could, I would like you to keep an eye on Group 1 and ensure no trouble arises. Just make sure no cheating goes on, you know. I will send Mr. Akigawa to keep watch of Group 2 when he arrives." With a nod he turned and returned to his desk, sitting on it this time as he dismissed those five students. Motioning with a hand he also beckoned for Midora to come over beside him.

The rabbit was contemplating going to take a nap in the infirmary as she could not stand Ruzik's eyes boring into the back of her skull. Kou was very proud of herself for keeping it together and not breaking down crying or going to Ruzik and begging him for forgiveness. No, it was time the Incubus learned the error of his ways. There were plenty of Incubus and Succubi that didn't cheat, lie, and hurt their partners and although Kou had known what she was getting into when she first met Ruzik, it was about time the demon realized he was on a path towards self destruction. This is for his own good.

A hiss came from her side and Kou turned her head to see that Cleo was clearly not pleased. It seems she had burned one bridge and Kou would attempt to rebuild it at a later time as now she was afraid she could not speak for fear that she would burst into tears. Kou was miserable without her Ruzik although the rabbit kept up her air of a happy, carefree exterior. It was then that the new Headmaster began to speak, leaning against the desk in a casual manner as his fingers twitched, clearly itching for something to hold onto. Kou took a proper seat when he began to speak so that the students behind her could see and listened to what the man had to say. He had an aura about him that demanded attention, or perhaps it was the lavenous red hair that drew the eye in?

The rabbit folded her hands and rest her chin on them, propping her elbows up on the desk as she listened. She silently hoped that her name would be called for the mission off campus so that she would not have to see the Incubus or meet the new mage, but it seems the rabbit had no such luck. She was stuck here with both, although now Kou knew the persuasion of the new magic wielder. A male. A sly grin made it's way onto Kou's lips as she thought about all the fun she could have with this boy. Not in the way most would think, Kou just enjoyed teasing. It was a hobby of her's to embarrass others and see how red she could make one's face turn. Sexual relations were not something she took lightly and unlike some at this Academy; Kou's chastity was still very much in tact.

Her name was called and Kou's gaze drifted from the window and back towards Memphis. He was saying something about her being in Group 2 with Ruzik and a Lapidus. Who's Lapidus? Oh that must be the new mage. Kou's thoughts somehow drifted to Etelka and because of the servant girl Kou thought up a new game. Oh how a bad day was about to turn fun! Her hair turned pink with giddy, although one might have thought it was because of the game the Headmaster spoke of. Knock-down, or something of the like. Her ears perked up as the Headmaster informed them that they would be able to use their abilities and just then Kou understood what the name implied. She would have another chance at beating Ruzik today.

This time Kou was not going to let him knock her flat, she was determined to come out victorious. As soon as he was done speaking Kou stood and walked towards the door, going to the training grounds where the staff game had taken place. On her way Kou passed the Incubus and winked, "See you on the battlefield."

Idiot, he doesn't like you anymore. Remember? A dark voice in the back of her mind spoke, causing her hair to turn back to blue. The rabbit suddenly remembered herself and exited the room so that no one could see her hands shaking. She wiped her palms on her dress although no perspiration had formed and made her descent towards the training grounds where the game would take place. He hates you, it felt as though someone was stabbing her in the chest. It's a good thing she was nowhere near Ruzik otherwise Kou's heart surely would have betrayed her. Kou turned a corner and choked back a sob, covering her mouth with both hands and closing her eyes in an attempt to calm herself.

"Ichi.... Ni.... San..." she counted quietly and began to walk once more towards the battle grounds. Kou was the first to arrive and so she sat in the grass, savoring the feeling of the sun on her skin.

Muse sat in her seat quietly, swinging her legs ever so slightly out of boredom. She had taken to staring out the window, although Muse sat on the opposite side of the room and so it might have appeared as though she were staring at the group made up of Etelka, Duye, and Laurence. The peculiar looking demon shook her head and looked forward as the Headmaster cleared his throat. Muse continued in her musings as she listened to his words, wondering what this mission could be while figuring there was no way she could be chosen for it. Then, as if by miracle or perhaps mind reading, her name was listed off as part of the group that was to leave campus for the assignment.

Muse early fell out of her seat in surprise. She ceased her swinging and sat up a bit straighter, a smile dancing across her lips as excitement tingled her spine. Perhaps that would mean they would release her from the bind of the talismans? Or maybe Memphis was only bringing Muse along to keep an eye on her? She would have to ask him when time allowed it. Muse waited patiently, drumming her fingers quietly on the desk. Finally he finished speaking and dismissed them and Muse jumped out of her seat before remembering Liliane. "I'll see you later then Lili," Muse said and waved goodbye as she walked to the front of the classroom.

"Excuse me Sir, I was wondering why I was chosen for this mission?" Muse reached out to tap Memphis's shoulder because he was facing the other way, then thought better of it and withdrew her hand. "I don't know if you've been informed of my... Problem." Muse didn't know if that was the right word for it. "You see I have no memory so I don't really know what my abilities are." Which meant she was nothing more than a liability, especially if this mission was especially hazardous. Muse did not want to get in anyone's way and although she wanted to go, she also wanted to stay alive.

Midora listened on quietly as Memphis began to induce about the students' upcoming tasks. It seemed that besides the mission that was sent from the Department, the Headmaster has given the new tasks for those ones who aren't going to partake in the quest to defeat the monsters and close the Window. It was a knock-down exercise. Midora couldn't say that he'll totally accept with his boss' decision, taken into account of what has happened this morning to the students that Mikari supervised. Somethings like that must never happen again. Midora also know that sealing their powers are still merciful. If the students ever break the laws again or something worse than this morning session then severe punishments that they wouldn't even think of will be carry on them. But, Midora believes that the Demon might has some intentions that Midora didn't know so he'd accept his order and follow Memphis's decision for now.

As the Demon continued, he has decided who is going to go on the mission in place of Etelka and gave Midora a quick glance, in which he replied with a nod. It seemed that he has chosen another extra one, which was Cleo, so that no student will be left out. Midora said they only needed five students, but it wouldn't be too crowded to add another one so he figures that he has no objections. During the inducement, Midora has kept his eyes on the hybrid Mage - Laurence, ignoring whether the Mage notices that Midora was watching him or not. The boy isn't weak as he shows to the others. He also has quite some determination. But just like Midora, he is holding back his real strength. The power that lies deep in the darkness of his soul. Although Midora has already decided to do what he need to Laurence, he is secretly wondering whether if he should totally recondition him or just partly. He knows that the boy was so innocent and naive, which reminds Midora of his past and he wouldn't want to make him fall into the dark. But later on, he can decid what should be done.

After Memphis has finished, he motioned Midora to came beside him. Perhaps there are some other things that he wanted to ask. So Midora walked to the man and quietly asked, "Yes?" However, it was them that Muse came forth and asked Memphis about something, so Midora stepped back a bit and let them talk first.

Mikari stretched his arms and yawned tiredly as he kept on waiting his student to arrive. Didn't Memphis-sama tell that kid to arrive on time? Guess I should work on that. Mikari sheepishly thought. But just as he waiting, he checked on Ruzik through the talisman, only to find nothing but a mess. The Incubus' emotions were a chaos and Mikari could felt the feeling of betrayal coming from the Incubus. Did something happen between him and Kou-san? He thought. Though he must admit the Demon has improve a bit for trying his bed to hold back his malice so that it didn't to turn into bloodlust. Mikari figures that he should have a nice 'chat' with his favorite Incubus. Maybe on bed, again...

Just as he was deep in his thought, someone pronouncing his name in a rather funny way startled him, pulled him back to reality. He looked on and find that a boy with a swinging tail was walking towards his direction. This boy is the one whom Midora has informed him to be the replacment? Mikari was rather surprise because just lookong from the outside he clearly look like a Demon more. But before Mikari could even asked, the boy suddenly go hyped. He pointed the picture of Mikari to him in the introduction paper like a child showing something they've just found to their parents.

"O..Oi, calm d-" Mikari sweat dropped as he tried to keep the Demon calm, but he was interrupted again as the boy introduced himself. He said his name was Lapidus so he's definitely the one Midora talked about. Taking a quick glance at the boy, he quickly made his judgement by digging his knowledge. Mikari can feel the affinity for magic from the boy and the mana flow from him tells that he has potential of Demon control power so he is no doubt a Mage, and yet, only a hyper-active Demon can have such a ragged appearance like that. This leads Mikari to his conclusion: Lapidus is a half-breed.

When the boy finished talking, Mikari let out a sigh of relief. "Geez, we've just met and you speak to me as if we've been friends for a while. I don't mind that, but some people aren't very comfortable, y'know." Mikari said with a hand on his hip and smile light-heartedly, "And yeah, the name's Mikari. I'll be your Teacher from now on. So be nice or I'll kick your ass, kay?" Mikari grinned as he 'threaten' the boy, "You should feel lucky that I'm your teacher. If you fall into the hands of a gloomy, meanie, scary black-haired Teacher or a fiery, bossy, and also meanie red-head Headmaster then I'm sure your head has already been put onto a silver plate and served as breakfast for them already."

Mikari grinned at his own jokes then straighthen himself up but a proud smile still appear on his face. "So, you're a half-breed, huh? Don't worry when you're here, absolutely no act of discrimmination is tolerate so no one's gonna eat you up. And does that tail troubling you? Let me do something 'bout it."

With that said, Mikari waved his index finger as Lapidus' shirt was rolled up, revealed his belly. His tail then automatically wrapped around the boy's torso. And finally, Mikari sprung out some extreme thin Dark Matter strings from his sleeve and wrapped around the tail. "Those strings should be able to keep your tail intact until dusk falls. We don't want anyone trample on it, do we?" Mikari playfully said then walked foward and approched Lapidus, "Today's the first fay so I'll spare you from your fate for being late. But remember that I won't be so mercy next time, agree?" Mikari winked.

"As much as I want to take you for a round to see more of this humble Academy, the Headmaster are requesting our presence for the upcoming task in the afternoon. Sorry that you couldn't have a decent break to day, but learn to deal with it. Now let's go. You don't wanna test his patience." Mikari said with another grin as he grabbed the boy's shoulder and the two of them vanished into a dark vortex. Seconds later, they were teleported in front of the classroom's door. Without any time to waste, they entered the room, gaining anyone who are still inside's attention.

Mikari cleared his throat as he took Lapidus to the front of the class and introduced, "Attention, class. For some reasons, Kasumi has to be transferred so Group 4 is going to have a new Mage, as informed. Please meet Lapidus Otto. I hope you all will get along." He said then turned to Lapidus, "You can sit on the empty seat in front of the red-head on the front row over there. The Headmaster will explain the task again to you soon."

With that said, Mikari walked and stood next to Midora and turned to ask Memphis. "So, do I have any duties on the upcoming session?"

Memphis

Memphis was silently watching as one of the students headed outside, the rabbit-girl who was partaking in the challenge he had set up for the other half of the class. But his attention was stolen a moment later as he heard a voice speak up behind him. Looking round quickly he saw it was the girl with the horns, Muse he believed her name was.

"Are you complaining that you were chosen?" He replied, not really answering her question nor showing much of a kind expression towards the female. Soon he turned his body round to face the girl fully, pondering his words a little more carefully before continuing. "I’ve heard about your ‘problem’ and I know of that talisman that is placed on you – your file gave that away, however my knowledge goes no further than that. As to why you have it, and why you cannot remember is not of my business, what matters are that you are here and were chosen because we thought you could be good for the mission."

Looking to the younger girl, Memphis knelt down a little to be more level with her. Similar to a parent with a child he looked into her eyes and with a calm voice added, "Just so you know, it’s not what you can do with the abilities you have that make a valued demon, but rather it’s what you can do with the body you have and how you use it that make a difference. Abilities are only accessories, demons need more than that to survive." Pausing, the redhead thought for a single moment before finally asking, "However I will not force you into this if you feel completely uncomfortable with undertaking this mission – I won’t lie, the mission will be dangerous, so if you feel you are not ready for it then I would put another student in your place if that is what you wish? I appreciate you came to talk to me, it shows you have a good head on your shoulders, as they say Muse. Just let me know what your decision is when you decide.” When about to address Midora who had appeared not long before the Headmaster just remember something, quickly redirecting his focus to the girl. ”Oh, if you want further assistance with that talisman I am here to help, should you want to investigate the matter further – we could even help try and get it off you, but only if you want it. Feel free to speak to me on the issue later or whenever you want to."

With that said Memphis straightened himself and looked to Midora once again, however Mikari also decided to enter at that very moment with the new student in tow. Finally. His expression generally followed its usual un-amused state as the demon looked to the blue-haired mage and then the younger student, who after being introduced to the class then proceeded to sit near Ruzik. Memphis turned to face Mikari at that moment. "Yes, I want you to keep watch over Kou, Ruzik and Lapidus outside as they will be facing each other in what I like to call ‘Knock-Down’. The aim of this challenge is to knock each of your opponents down with only one hit for each. Abilities and such are allowed, though I just want you to ensure nothing bad happens like last time. Your group doesn’t exactly have a good reputation, Mr. Akigawa. Think you can handle that simple duty?"

Turning away Memphis walked over to the new mage and placed his hands against the desk as he glared down at the odd boy before him. "And you, Otto. What happened to arriving here sharp? I specifically told you to arrive early, not late. Do you see the problem here?" Leaning in more closely the redhead narrowed his eyes slightly, mostly just to give the boy a friendly warning that his lateness would not be tolerated. A minute or so later, Memphis pulled back and put his hands to his hips. "Anyway, your task for now is simple – try and knock each of your opponents down with a single hit, doing so you will win. Those you will be facing are your teammates, one being Ruzik who is behind you, and Kou who is already outside waiting. If you need to know anything else then feel free to ask either Mr. Akigawa or your group-mates, and once more – do not be late, Otto."

Turning is back to the boy Memphis finally faced the two mage teachers. "Mr. Akigawa if there is nothing else then you should head outside, while you Mr. Kurayami will stay with me." He said, waiting for Mikari to take his leave before speaking to Midora alone. "Actually, I was thinking that when the time comes to brief the kids on the mission that you could take the lead on that? I’m not as knowledgeable on the matter, and you seem to know the details pretty well. And one more thing, I was wondering if we could talk privately afterwards, or later at some point before we set out for the mission. I think it would be wise for us to talk about how we will perform during this mission as a team, and establish some ground rules and familiarity, and such. If that is alright with you?"

Ruzik R.

Ruzik sat and listened as the Headmaster spoke, albeit he didn’t want to listen the incubus could do nothing but hear the demon-figure as he stood in front of him. Apparently half the class was going on some mission but he wasn’t picked, instead Ruzik was to participate in some other exercise with Kou and his new mage – Lapidus. He didn’t know whether it was a girl or boy as the demon hadn’t been informed on much more other than the fact his old mage was now gone, the girl who he would’ve attempted to hurt if it weren’t for Liliane. Sulking, the redhead kept quiet and listened to the in’s and out’s of the game, Knock-Down. The reminder that he didn’t have his powers was another hit to the incubus, as without them he would surely lose? Then again, it wasn’t like he really tried and gave it his all in the last exercise. Admittedly he did give it a go, but not by much. He cared little for these games and would merely humor the Headmaster for now. As he was about to move himself Ruzik noticed Kou already passing him and gave the boy a wink, apparently she would see him on the battlefield.

Was that an invitation to fight, or make-up? Ruzik couldn’t tell and honestly he didn’t know which one he preferred. The rabbit waltz about as if nothing had happened and it bothered him, she didn’t even appear heartbroken over it! Rolling his eyes the incubus got to his feet and begrudgingly began to make his way to the door. However, the new student had arrived not long before and was sat in front of him – the incubus unable to keep his hands to himself as he sat a hand against the mage-boy's shoulder and looked to him.

”Hey teammate, I’ll see you outside.” He grinned to the pointy-eared boy, removing his hand as the redhead carried on walking.

As he did he also passed Mikari as he stood beside the other mage-teacher, as well as the Headmaster. The incubus refrained from saying anything as it appeared they were talking, although Ruzik looked to the blue-haired mage and gave him a dissatisfied look – though his displeasure was not due to the mage, it was merely the fact that Ruzik could not ignore his inner conflict of emotions and failed to hide them from his features. Soon enough he exited the room and walked out into the training area. His eyes quickly fell onto the sitting figure of Kou, though he didn’t feel a need to draw her attention onto him so soon as he quietly walked over the rabbit-demon.

Once he had approached the girl he knelt down beside her and wasted little time in throwing his arms around the rabbit’s shoulders as he pulled her into a tight embrace. ”I-I didn’t mean it.” He said though his voice was a little muffled by her hair at that moment, which was just as well though, as it was handy to disguise the slight needy emotion that was present in his tone. ”I’ll take you back, you don’t have to apologize I’ll have you back, Kou.” Clearly Ruzik had not grasped who exactly it was that was in the wrong, seemingly viewing Kou was the source of their sudden break-up.

Releasing the girl Ruzik moved himself over until he was sitting directly in front of Kou. Caring little for the consequence he placed his hands up against her thighs and just beneath the ends of her skirt, as he teasingly ran his fingers against that area of her flesh. ”I’m willing to look past your wrongdoing and that kiss you gave that mage, I know it was just a cry for attention – deep down you want me, you need me. If you just say you’ll have me then I’ll be yours, Kou. All yours.” Despite how it may have came out, that was an actual attempt to rebuild bridges with the rabbit – though Ruzik clearly viewed the situation differently compared to his ex, which was not at all surprising. In truth though he did want her back, desperately. It was so unreal to not have the girl with him, having her against him and being able to talk to her without this sudden tension that lingered between them.

”I know you’re just a girl going through your emotions, I realize that now. You wanted to get back at me for something or another, whatever. But I won’t hold it against you, I forgive you. So, anyway,” Placing his face a few inches closer to hers, the incubus whispered ever-so-slightly seducingly, ”It’s been so many years Kou, don’t you want to relive the old days? The good days?” Quite frankly the old days weren’t much better to they are now, things never changed much when it came to the incubus. He was always like he is, deluding himself into think that sex solved all their problems – it was really one of few things he was any good at so why wouldn’t he? Lacking the maturity to voice his feelings nicely he would much rather work around said emotions, only through his own personal way.

Maybe that was how much he thought of their relationship, considering he hadn’t really earned the girls affection but rather he had always just had it at his disposal. She was his and that was about it. Nobody could have her, she was his to own and that was how he honestly viewed their love. Ruzik was the dominating force and Kou was his follower, the incubus could do as he pleased knowing the girl would always forgive him. Perhaps unintentionally in the beginning the demon couldn’t help but play to the girls forgiving nature over time – he was her weakness, he knew it and would use it. Maybe Ruzik wasn’t ready for a relationship, clearly the demon lacked the proper understanding of what healthy communication was and never mind his constant infidelity. The incubus would never truly learn from his errors until the girl could be firm with the boy, stand up to him and finally tell Ruzik, ”No.”

”Tell you what, to show how much of a good sport I am, how about this,” He spoke up and pulled away from the rabbit-girl. ”If you can knock me down then I’ll do something for you, anything at all you name it – alright? I won’t even ask for anything in return. Not that you will knock me down, since you know I did knock you down and out this morning with only one hit, remember?” Smirking, Ruzik couldn’t help but rub it in a little to the rabbit. He wanted her to know how serious he was and maybe if he bet her then the rabbit would realize what she was missing out on.

”Oh, I saw our new mage just there. He should be out soon - he's kind-of cute.” WIth his hands still on the girl the redhead looked quite smug, for whatever reason. Maybe he was just excited to beat his teammates and prove his superiority - despite having no powers.

Cleo Gardenia

Cleo perked her ears up once the Headmaster spoke though her attention only really kicked-in when her name was mentioned and it was revealed that she was to be sent on some mission tonight. Beyond that though she hadn’t paid too much attention but understood the basics, only soon after looking to her teammate, Bugby, and nudging him playfully.

”Hey, looks like if you win you get a reward that you want! You gotta win Buggie,” She purred to the green-haired boy, smiling to him for added reassurance. ”Besides it’s only girls Bugby, you ain’t gonna let some girlies beat you, eh?” It seemed that those doing the challenge were to head outside, which only forced Cleo to then turn to her mage, Ichiro, and give him a knowing look of displeasure. ”Oh my, it looks like there’s more girls on this mission so I wonder who you’ll kiss next?” Lowering her ears the feline didn’t quite know what to do with herself and this seemingly baseless aggression. Ichiro hadn’t’ done anything wrong, he didn’t want to kiss Kou – or did he? Just the thought irked Cleo and a frown quickly formed on her lips. It had been the second time today that the girl had gotten angry with her mage – the first time being earlier when he sat with those two girls, and now right after he was kissed by Kou.

As Cleo thought of it more a quiet hiss erupted from her as she sat, aiming her gaze to the front of the room. The feline could be quite childish at times, throwing huffs at a moment’s notice and all because she was jealous of others getting close to her mage. With that in mind suddenly, the girl forced herself against the side of Ichiro as she rubbed her head against his arm, quickly peering up at the blonde-boy. ”I’m sorry I didn’t mean it,” She purred, unable to remain annoyed with the mage as the girl was too weak to ignore him. Plus, if Ichiro didn’t like the way his demon was acting the boy could walk off and sit with those other girls, which Cleo didn’t want so she’d suck it up if she had to.

Without warning, the feline moved out of her set as she climbed onto Ichiro. Perching herself on his lap as she rested her head against his shoulder – in doing so making sure he couldn’t go anywhere and the girl had him all to herself for once. ”Ichi don’t go with those other girls stay here with me, don’t you like my company?” She asked quietly, flickering her ears as her eyes curiously looked to him.
