Nickname:
Nora, may be used by most.

Age:
She was turned in her late teens. 18 or 19, she doesnā€™t remember.

Gender:
Female

Race:
Vampire, scottish

Hair Color:
Scarlet

Eye Color:
Changes between a golden, brown amber color and red depending on her hunger state.

Skin Tone:
Pale, almost porcelain like with flushed cheeks and red lips.

Height:
5'4

Weight:
110

Physical Description:
The first thing you'll probably notice with Vanora is her best described scarlet hair. It is very thick and naturally shiny. It has darker streaks giving the hair the shade and almost gives the hair the color and shade of blood if the light hits it just right and few people believe her when she tells them that it is her natural color. Her hair is naturally curly and she prefers them in two tails for convenience and she think it is the best look on her. Vanora is quite petite with her quite short stature and weight and has quite a few times been mistaken for a child when briefly observed. Not all too surprising since her body is not muscular but very much ladylike. Her arms and legs are quite thin but very elegant and her upper body is always straight and in good posture.
Vanora's eyes are the color of amber and shimmers when she smiles. Her eyes usually have an inviting and warm feeling in them. Her skin is pale with naturally flushed cheeks and red lips, almost like a porcelain doll. Considering her figure she tries do dress as ladylike as possible with preferable an elegant dress or a skirt with a nice blouse.

Potential Interest:
Vanora is extremely careful when it comes to love due to happenings before she became a vampire. She is however a romantic and wished that someday she will someday find someone she will allow herself to love again.

Other:
Image

Habits:
Scottish| If she gets excited, mad or annoyed, she lets her Scottish accent break through.

Likes:
Whiskey| A good, smoky whiskey reminds her of home.
Snow| It just calms her down watching it and she finds it beautiful.
Drawing| Especially portraits.
Poetry|

Dislikes:
Rain| Makes her moody.
Loud noises| With good hearing, it just gets awfully annoying.
Being alone| She is not used to being on her own. It does not need to be many people, or even an interaction. Just someone nearby.

Strengths:
Except the speed, strength, hearing etc, she is able to read and manipulate minds. She rarely does due to the fact she does not care about what people think and does.

Weaknesses:
The sun, going too long without feeding. Also loneliness. If she's alone for too long she gets anxious. She is not the most experienced fighter. She knows how to fight, but prefers to stay away and cause trouble from afar.
If someone she cares for is being threatened she can and will become as fierce and cruel as she needs to be.

Personality:
Vanora was once cheering, loving and always smiling. The night she was turned it changed and she became less open and she hardly smiled. Since she found her coven she has opened up slightly. She does not really speak to anyone unless she has to. She is very careful with who she lets get close to her because of the fear of losing someone she cares for again and therefore rarely shows emotion. She is easily annoyed and will be blunt with what's bothering her.
But if someone would get really close to her, she would show you a loving side. She will smile and laugh but this have not happened for a very, very long time. She will not speak of her past and so far, no one knows what her life used to be like.

History:
Vanora was born during the year 1445 to her parents April and Calum Aiken in a village in northern Scotland.
She was a girl full of life back then, no pun intended. She was laughing, singing, running, climbing and picking flowers. Despite being quite poor, her family made due and the villagers always helped one another. She grew up without siblings, but she was never lonely due to the many children of the village.

As she entered her teenage years, it was due time to think about who her future husband was to be. Vanora had many suitors for she was considered quite the beauty. Many said it was because of her scarlet hair. No one had seen anything like it before. Vanora was looking forward to meeting her future husband because she wanted nothing but a normal life with children and a loving husband.

The years went by and her husband had been chosen and it was mutual love. They were childhood friends and his parents were among the richest of the village so her parents had no complaints.

The wedding day had arrived and everything had been magical. The whole village was celebrating and Vanora hadn't stopped smiling. As the evening approached and the festivities continued past sunset, Vanora was happily dancing with her husband when a scream broke through the laughterā€™s and music. Someone had been killed and the killing continued until she was the only one standing. She never saw who it was until the killer approached her. They were standing by a grand bonfire and he grabbed her neck and bared his fangs but stopped himself. He told her he was fascinated by her blood red hair and decided to spare her, making her one of his own.

After this night, Vanora changed. She was no longer the once laughing, loving girl. Her maker had taught her how to live as a vampire and she stayed with him for many years because she had nowhere to go. He taught her how to fight, hide who, or what, she was as well as surviving on her own. One day her maker left her for an unknown reason and so she had to take care of herself.

So begins...

The gang of men surrounded the girl. For every step they took forward, the frightened girl stumbled back until they were in one of the many alley ways of the city. It smells the girl thought faintly. And so it did. Forgotten garbage piled high in the very back and the unused cans were a paradise for vermin and bugs of all kinds. It was also a place where gangs hung back, especially just after getting a new pack of cigars or drugs, so there were all kinds of broken beer bottles and bloodstains littering the floor.
Crap. Iā€™m stuck here in an alleyway, where no one will dare come into, with a huge gang of MEN. But the men themselves did not look unruly. In fact she would almost call them pretty, but they were too muscular. They had a strange aura about them that made them feel like predators. And she was the prey. Straightening her back she finally spoke, ā€œI donā€™t have any money.ā€ She had intended to have a firm, confident voice, but it had come out as a whimper. ā€œNo,ā€ the tallest man agreed, ā€œYou donā€™t. But you have something much, much more.ā€ The young woman gave a nervous laugh. ā€œI donā€™t know what youā€™re talking about.ā€ ā€œIā€™m sure you donā€™t.ā€ The leader of the gangā€™s voice was smooth and cool. It made the girl feel as if she was drowning. She clutched the golden locket around her neck tightly.
Then, as if on cue, the men smiled. They all had extremely sharp canines. She shivered. ā€œI believe itā€™s your turn, Carlos.ā€ The man addressed a tall, dark, slender, teenager who had been hiding behind the group. ā€œYes. It will be my first time.ā€ First time? That did not sound good. Instinctively the girl clutched her chest in a protective movement. The boy chuckled when he saw her movement and then stepped forward to place his hands on the femaleā€™s shoulders. ā€œThis should only hurt a bit.ā€ The girl struggled to move away, but surprisingly the thin boy was stronger than she was. He leaned forward towards her neck and sniffed. Heā€™s smelling me? But that was the last thing she thought.
The boy bit down hard but she hardly felt the pain. It was the feeling of agony and yet she felt pleasure. There was a numb tickling sensation in her neck. Her body twitched and then she couldnā€™t feel anything at all. Her knees buckled. It all seemed to happen in the blink of a second, lights dancing and flashing in front of her eyes. ā€œShit, heā€™s taking too much blood!ā€ Suddenly the boy was torn from her body and the limp figure fell to the ground. Faintly, as if it were just a passing thought, she heard a snarl and some yelling, but she was too drained of energy to care. She felt dry and flimsy like a rag doll. Her vision was blurred and the ground was so, so cold.
ā€œI take pity on you, human. You werenā€™t meant to die. Besides, our kind needs you.ā€ A warm, caramel sweet voice trickled into her left ear. She felt the teeth sinking in again, but this time she didnā€™t flinch. She knew he was going to kill her. Finish her off, drain her, so she would feel no pain and wouldnā€™t have to wait for her death. Her body braced itself, waiting for the pleasurable tickle and the feeling that a part of her was being taken away. But it never came. In its place was pain. Agonizing torturous pain. Followed by the itching as the burning poison swept through her.
The scream that night was loud. But not loud enough to be heard over the roaring of cars on the main street. Not loud enough to be heard by a wandering human. Not so loud that Rosetta didnā€™t hear the chilling words that carried on the cool night breeze.

ā€œYouā€™re one of us now.ā€
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rose opened her eyes. Her face was still contorted in terror but there was not a drop of sweat nor was her heart racing like it should. Her breathing wasnā€™t normal either. In fact it seemed almost like she wasnā€™t breathing at all. But that wasnā€™t possible. At lightning speed she sat up. It was just a dream. It was just a dream. Just a dream. Dream. Dream. But she knew it wasnā€™t. It had been a week and she still couldnā€™t figure out what was happening to her. Like every morning she brought her knees up to her chest and curled up, attempting to shut herself out from the rest of the world. But it didnā€™t help. Tiny pin pricks of liquid threatened to drop from the corner of her eyes. She didnā€™t even realize she was crying until little splotches appeared on the thin bed sheets. She didnā€™t particularly care anyway.
The apartment room around her was a mess. Somehow she had gotten home when she had woken up seven days ago. Her memory was hazy, that was normal, but it was a surprise when she started bawling and throwing a tantrum like a little kid. She had torn her books off the shelves, broke dishes on the kitchen floor, and even snapped a chair in half with strength she didnā€™t even know she had. She had promptly passed out. When she regained conscious she had drawn the curtains only to hiss and shrink away from the bright rays of afternoon light. Hissed. As if she was an animal.
On top of that Rose was starving, but everything she ate she immediately threw up. Now she spread herself out and hopped off the bed. As she walked she passed a partially broken mirror. She couldnā€™t even recognize herself. Her eyes had changed color. They were a deep dark blue, almost black. Tear streaks ran down her face and her usually smooth hair was ratty and tangled. After a few paces however a sweet rustic smell hit her. Looking at her bare feet she realized she was standing in shards of ceramic from a broken bowl. Her right foot was splotched with red blood. Blood. Thatā€™s right; she had considered suicide but when she tried to cut herself the sight of blood made her mind whirl. She felt her fangs slowly elongate as she contemplated the red mess on the ground. What was going on? Tearing herself away Rose ran across the room towards her closet. She needed to get out more. She was going stir crazy. Yes that was the problem. She had imagined the fangs. To the park it is! She pulled on her favorite pair of jeans and a tank top. She finished the combination by pulling on a light hoodie. Then she rushed out the door.
Ashton walked along the cracked paved road. He had been walking like this for hours. Occasionally a car would pass by and sometimes even stop. The driver would ask him if he needed a ride. Each time Ashton smiled politely and told them that he was fine and that he preferred walking. Of course that was a lie. He would definitely take a car over foot any day but not if it had a human in it. He wasnā€™t about to get into a rundown car and have a reckless monkey drive him to the nearest city. Besides if he walked, maybe he could become more agile. Like that was ever going to happen. But his skills were rusty and the last vampire heā€™d fought had almost won. Key word, almost. Ashton wasnā€™t going to let a filthy mosquito beat a high upper class Fey like himself. He had, of course crushed the thing flat, but not before he forced it to tell him where the rest of his clan was. The bloodsucker was pretty vague but he had given directions and then begged to be set free. Ashton smirked at the memory. He would love to see the day when he saw a vampire and let it go without at least injuring it. This thought actually made him laugh aloud. His laugh wasnā€™t an ā€œIā€™m-laughing-with-you-and-not-at-youā€ kind of laugh but it still sounded delicious; a laugh that made one want to listen to it all day, even if it was vicious. This all came naturally, him being a Fey.
Ashton was still smirking when he came to the sign. Its red paint was chipped and flaking at the corners. In white letters it read Welcome to Akron City. Indeed he was on the outskirts of a small city. If one could call it that. It looked sad and run down. Sure Ashton could see big modern buildings in the distance, but it looked more as if the city had been attempting to copy New York and had failed miserably. It would be easy to find the vampires here. Even though Ashton had been exiled he knew he HAD to keep hunting the bloodsuckers. At least until he found the ones who killed his mother.
Already he could feel his adrenaline rushing and the sound of vampires screaming. His eyes darkened a bit in excitement. Slowly he stepped into the city.
((OOC: Sorry that Ashton's post is so short!))
Slow paced yet determined steps carried Vanora down the streets of Akron city.
Vanora is close to the breaking point. She was walking out of an alleyway from the less populated area of the city where she had left her recent...meal. A shaky hand reaches the corner of her mouth to wipe away a drop of blood with a handkerchief.
She felt outright disgusting. She hates what she had become all those years ago. Bringing nothing but death and sorrow. She would live forever and just watch everything and everyone around her fade away.
She thought many times of taking her life. But then she'd let him win. She clenched her fists as the memories of her maker crept their way into her mind. She hated him. So much. Yet she had stayed with him for many years only to be able to survive.
She lost everything that day. Instead of letting her vanish with everything she loved by following them into the embrace of true death, she was left to roam this earth. She was trebmling now, her rage building up and she started to almost lose control. She stopped on the street and closed her eyes. The sun was up so she pulled her scarf further down her eyes. She was wearing a white dress with a black scarf neatly wrapped around her head, framing her porcelain like face and blood red locks. She thought of the good times. Dancing, singing, smiles. She relaxed her body, and opened her eyes. They were now their normal amber colour due to her recent feeding. Taking a glance at her handkerchief once, she threw it in the nearest garbage can before making her way towards Val's tavern.
She was in dire need of a whiskey.
Vanora was passing be the park when all of a sudden she came to a halt. She took a a deep breath through her nose and a look of confusion spread on her doll-like face. Her head turned to her right as she took a few more whiffs of the air and she could smell...so much. Another vampire. 'Ugh'. A human...and two unfamiliar scents. She was intrigued.
Her steps took her towards a bench. She looked around and found a strand of hair, a long brown one. Two delicate fingers lifted the hair closer to her nose. 'Fox?' She remembered the scent faintly from back home were foxes were in every forest behind almost any tree.
As her trip back to olden days came to an end, she remembered where she was heading. Once again a scent unfamiliar hit her. What was happening? Where did the scents come from? It was faint, but approaching fast and just as she turned around, the scource ran past her with such speed her scarf fell off her head. She hissed and quickly replaced it as she watched two humans run past her aswell. They were obviously chasing the silver haired man. She had noticed his icy blue eyes as he ran past. She didn't know why, but she decided to follow.
Asher Evans Immortalis
Running. Running. Not a program, but an Immortalis. Asher looked behind him, seeing two newcomers in pursuit. Well..... Asher kept running and running, trying to escape the two humans without using his powers. The thing is, Asher could just run into his own shadow and escape, but that would just practically reveal his power. Normally he would also use the same element to hide this fact... only Asher was not able to do so because of a certain situation within him. "Tch... How vexing of him to screw me over right now."
Asher quickly took a few turns along the sidewalk, dodging any intersection with a camera. The last thing he wanted was some device that could capture the event of people coming after him. Asher turned once more, forcing him to end up in an alleyway that had one last turn, making the last section invisible to anyone on the road. ".... Really annoying..." Asher muttered as he turned around. Two people aimed their handguns at Asher. The Immortalis glared at the humans, his hands going up and making fists. Asher got into a fighting stance, sighing. "Fine then..." Asher muttered.
The first shot was made by the human on Asher's left. Asher immediately side-stepped and charged at the duo. More and more bullets went and flew through the air at the Immortalis, but in vain as he kept dodging the rounds. However, this can only be kept up if Asher stayed a certain distance from the guns. Asher side-stepped again, narrowly dodging another round, but the second man shot where Asher would've stepped if it weren't for Asher's fast reaction. Hm... Asher stepped back a bit, but then stepped forward again. Just like Asher predicted, the second man shot at where he was going to be at, so Asher quickly stepped to his right and sent a large and heavy ball of ice at the man before turning around and grabbing the other man's neck with a hand surrounded with ice.
The ball of ice both opened up on the side that faced the second man's head and closed as it encased the head. The ice prevented the man from breathing any more oxygen. He struggled and struggled to break the ice, but in vain. Eventually the man slowly dropped to the floor because of lack of oxygen. Meanwhile, Asher pushed the first man to a nearby wall and let go of the guy's neck. The man raised his hand with the gun, only to find out that the gun was practically frozen and could not shoot. "Now tell me, who sent you?"
The man glared defiantly at Asher. "Like hell would I tell you, you mot-" The man suddenly couldn't speak and fell down to the floor, his lower body practically limp and dead weight. Then again, the man himself is practically dead weight to the silver-haired boy in front of him. "I just froze every single molecule in your neck, mortal. You can't move because your nervous system has gone cold (YEAAAAAAAAAAAA!!), your vocal cords are froze in place, and air cannot go in or out." Asher's eyes seemed to turn blood red as he glared at the pitiful sight. "I have no time to waste with you if you will not tell me. I am aware of the others watching. They are welcome to try and stop your death, and they are more than welcome to try to fight me. However they WILL share the same fate if my question is not answered." Asher really wasn't in a good mood. He knew he was being watched the moment he stepped into this town. However these eyes are becoming too close for his own liking, and the fact that they threatened him was more than enough to piss him off, especially when he had to deal with the damn succubus and other supernatural beings in this town.
And with that Asher turned and walked away from the two choking men without looking back. However, he had just ended up running into a small, pale girl with red hair and matching red eyes as red as his, if not more.
Her legs were moving on their own and Vanora was attempting to understand why she had all of a sudden started following three unknown men when she was well on her way towards the tavern, longing for a good whiskey. Yet here she was.Some would say her shoes were not ideal to run in, but a vampire could run in anything.
The man with the blue ices turned around a corner and ended up in an alleyway and the two humans just inched closer, guns drawn. Vanora's face showed no signs of worry or concern. She knew the blue eyed man was not human. She was simply here to observe.He readied himself and was in a fighting stance and in a flash, the battle was full ablaze. She stayed in the shadows and she didn't let her eyes leave the blue eyed man.
A look of excitement was on her face as the battle ended. It had been something she had never seen. 'Fascinating'. She thought as she stepped out of the shadows and the man stopped infront of her. She said nothing. Neither did he. She started circling him, taking a few deep breaths. The scent was strong, and stung slightly but in a pleasant way.
"Who, or rather what, are you? The only sign of interest on her face was a raised eyebrow. Her eyes studied him further as she stopped and yet again stood infront of him.
Dyson
Image
After the park, the human hunter rushed home.. Changing his everyday appearance to a causal outfit, black pants with a plain white button up shirt and a black coat to go on top of that. He hid various weapons in his clothing that could protect him from a number of different monsters.
Over the years Dyson had grown to despite every single monster there was. There intentions were all the same to him, they cared nothing for humans and just used them for their own personal entertainment and a source of food. Dyson was sick of that, he wanted them all gone from this city. Every last one.. And he wouldn't stop for nothing until they were all dead. In his short life time he had killed nearly 145 vampires, 5 feys, 19 succubus/incubus, 35 werewolves, 1 creator of a god and the god - by accident- and 1 fairy.
Dyson had a secret plan, but he needed another human to help him. In the end, he knew that he would go down alone because every human always took the monsters sides. Not understanding that they didn't care about humans, none of them ever would understand what it was like being a human. Never... But yet his own kind betrayed him all the time.
This time, if he couldn't find a human to help him then he'd go ahead and do the mission on his own. The mission given to him by the higher command hunters. The ones he didn't even know the full names of. He was given the mission to blow up Val's Tavern. And he would, on Monster Day. When every monster was there, and no humans were allowed in that night.
Dyson slowly made his way to that very place now, his hands shoved in his jacket pockets as he took the park way, he had a horrible plan to slowly take down each monster. Starting with -in his opinion- the worse one. That damn succubus. He would destroy her life by bringing back a certain person to her life. Someone she tried so hard to cover up from the rest of the world. A big smile crept onto his face as he entered the Tavern and sat at the end of the bar where Valentine was talking to some guy. He looked human, but not so quite. Dyson could have just been imagining things.
Valentine looked over at Dyson and smiled. "Can I get you something?"
"Jennova. Please and thank you." Dyson gave her a smile. Valentine nodded giving him a confused look as she walked over to the pink haired woman. Dyson looked at his phone. The person Jennova didn't want to see would be here any moment.
Asher Evans Immortalis
Image
As soon as Asher turned away from the two soon-to-b corpses, he had run into someone... that wasn't human. She had scarlet red curly hair, eyes of the same color. The girl was small and pale, though Asher could feel that the girl was far from being weak. The girl showed interest in Asher, who was beginning to get annoyed by the number of people "showing interest" in him. Her face made the girl's excitement obvious. Damn.... She saw the whole thing. Asher thought as he watched the girl. The girl circled him, examining him from every angle. The girl also seemed to smell him. Smell, huh? Then again, it wasn't the first time someone- or something- tried to smell him. Apparently Immortali have different scent from those that are human. Possibly the scent of a rotting corpse.
Eventually the girl stopped in front of Immortalis. "Who, or rather what, are you?" The girl asked him. It seems that she wasn't with the other people watching him. After all. With the others it was a "kidnap, restrain, torture, then ask questions. Then end with a possible death".... At least, that was what they were trying to go for.
Nevertheless, it was just vexing to have everyone ask who he was or what he was. Asher glared at the small girl. "It is none of your business." Asher simply stated before stepping to his right in an attempt to pass the girl.
"None of your business." The man bluntly stated as he sidestepped and walking past her. Vanora cocked her head to the side as she turned arpund and calmly started walking behind him. The man was much taller than her and naturally took longer steps but Vanora had no trouble keeping up, small, quick yet graceful steps, the sound of her heels being the only sound heard until she spoke up.
"Sure, it was none of my business. I decided to make it mine." She placed a few hairstrands that had gone stray behind her left ear. "When someone, not human, all of a sudden is being chased by two humans in broad daylight, I can't help but feel intrigued. Wouldn't you?"
She kept keeping even steps with the man and continued. "I was just on my was to get a drink but this seemed much more...fascinating." Her voice was stable and betrayed next to no emotions. She kicked an empty beer can lying on the street.
"The ice was a nice touch too. I know of no kind of supernatural being being able to do such things."
There was a short silence. "People in this like to talk, and think, Mr. Asher. I would be more careful if I were you. You never know what people might stumble upon."
"Sure, it was none of my business. I decided to make it mine. When someone, not human, all of a sudden is being chased by two humans in broad daylight, I can't help but feel intrigued. Wouldn't you?" It seems the girl just won't let it go. Asher thought as he kept walking. "I was just on my was to get a drink but this seemed much more...fascinating. The ice was a nice touch too. I know of no kind of supernatural being being able to do such things." The girl kept talking and trailing the Immortalis. She did it so casually, as if she had been through this before. Then again, hasn't Asher? The only difference for him was that he was in a time in which everything is being watched. The Immortalis sighed, about to respond after a moment of silence when the girl continued. "People in this like to talk, and think, Mr. Asher. I would be more careful if I were you. You never know what people might stumble upon."
Asher raised an eyebrow at this last statement. "A bold statement for one like you." Asher replied. "And if people in this town like to talk, and to think, one such as yourself should know not to talk about this subject freely, especially when the conversation is being held on the sidewalk." Asher then turned to his right, signaling for the girl to do the same. They were near a busy street, one used frequently by people when they have to go through this town to get to their destinations. "I do expect to witness something novel in this town, so I try to keep an open mind. After all, I've already met humans who try to kill the supernatural, such as yourself, as well as a few of the supernatural, most often being a succubus- the same one to be the exact." Asher coughed, clearing his throat before continuing. "However, if you at least know my name then I hope you do know just who exactly carries said name..." At that moment, Asher made a turn to a unique store, opening the door for the young lady. As she entered, Asher leaned down and whispered into her ear.
"Vampire Lady, Vanora Aiken."
"A bold statement for one like you." She quirked an eyebrow. 'Someone like me?' She was not surprised if he knew what she was. Everyone knew of what she was, some just does not believe that her kind exists. Which is the plan.
And if people in this town like to talk, and to think, one such as yourself should know not to talk about this subject freely, especially when the conversation is being held on the sidewalk."She nodded along. The man had a point, she admitted. She did not care much for it though.
'Oh you'll see things alright. Just see what I witnessed today.' She snorted inside her head. She knew of the succubus. She was pretty well known in this town amongst the supernatural. Vanora thought nothing bad of her though. She had no reason. Suddenly he motioned her to follow him down a less busy street.
"However, if you at least know my name then I hope you do know just who exactly carries said name..." She answered with the same monotone tone of voice. "If I knew who exactly you were, who carries the name of Asher, do you think I'd ask?" She took a deep breath and followed him inside a store Vanora had never been to.
She was looking around when he suddenly leaned in close to her and whispered her name.
She looked him in the eye. "I don't know how you found out my name, but I assume guessing what, I am was no hard task." She walked further into the shop and looked closer to the objects for sale before returning her attention to Asher. "Though I can assure you, knowing my name will not be of much importance considering the one who carries this name," She removed her scarf from her head and let it hung loose around her neck. "Is unimportant."
The Immortalis sighed and, while the girl was busy looking at the things in the store, Asher became older. Not in the natural way, in which changse to the body really can't be seen by the second, but more like his body rapidly aged until he was about 35 years old. It was a good thing he was in a store with no windows to fully peek into and without a security camera. It's one of those older stores.
"Jonathan!" Asher called with his older voice, leaning on the counter. "Has the order been done?"
"Oh? Is that you, Asher?" The man, older than what Asher was, walked out of the door behind the counter that lead to the back. "Yes. I've actually been waiting for you to pick it up. It's a bit strange though, aren't you a bit paranoid to ask for something like this?"
"Nonsense!" Asher smiled. "One can never be overprotective of oneself, or others. Besides, this city is getting a bit more violent." Asher winked at the man as he was given a walking stick.
"TouchƩ."
Asher smiled as he walked, using the walking stick, towards the girl again. "Those not well-known are better at hiding secrets, my dear. It actually would be surprising when I know who you are, if you aren't such a well-known vampire." He winked at her and walked behind a shelf before walking out, back in his 18-year-old self. "It would be even more surprising if you can find out who am I. Trust me, I'm not known that well by the few who do know me." Asher walked out of the store with the walking stick, feigning a limp and placing his weight on the stick.
The shop was small without windows. Was there a specific reason for it? Vanora was pondering as her steps carried her around the shop., looking at the different objects. The shop was old, she liked that. It felt genuine and she couldn't help but also feel that there was some sort of...secret being hidden here.
"Jonathan!" Asher all of a sudden called out and asked for some sort of order or delivery. A new scent entered as a man walked up to Asher with some sort of walking stick. She looked at Asher and she noticed a change. Now that she thought about it, his voice had been different as he had called out. What in the heavens was happening?
The two men exchanged a few words and they looked to be very friendly with each other. She quirked an eyebrow as Asher seemed to change once again back to how he looked when she first stumbled upon him. He was getting more interesting by the second.
He walked back over to her and had a smile plastered on his face. "Those not well-known are better at hiding secrets, my dear. It actually would be surprising when I know who you are, if you aren't such a well-known vampire." He gave her a wink and she looked away. She may not be a well-known vampire which is how she wants it. She doesn not want to be known for what she is, but for who she is. But being the being she is, it is not the easies thing to look past.
Suddenly he was walking out the back of the shop. "It would be even more surprising if you can find out who am I. Trust me, I'm not known that well by the few who do know me." Asher commented as he exited. She tilted her head and followed. The words he had spoken only made her want to know more about him. Starting with the sudden limp.
"You seemed fine a few seconds ago," She clanced at him as she placed her scarf back on her head. "Did the humans get to you after all?"
"You seemed fine a few seconds ago. Did the humans get to you after all?" The girl asked.
"Oh, no." Asher smirked. "This is just for protection. Animals usually make themselves more menacing as a defense mechanism. However I just make myself look weaker in order to have any potential enemies severely underestimate me. After all, in life you will always run into enemies, no matter what you do. It's how you defend yourself that matters, and not how you hide."
Asher then sighed, still walking along the sidewalk until he turned around a corner. Back at the park again, but from another entrance. Looking around, Asher tried to spot a certain building which was a landmark for a certain bar.
Vanora thought about what Asher had said. It made sense. She knows she looks like a very fragile girl. But then again, wouldn't it make her a more focused target? Though he talked about underestimation and she understood then exactly what he meant. She lifted her right hand and looked at it. Her fingers were thin and delicate, attached to thin arms.
She had always been described as 'fragile'. It used to be true in more sense than one. Right now she was only emotionally fragile, her body however, was far from it.
All those years of adapting to her new body and her new strength had been very emotionally wearisome. She looked at herself as nothing but a monster.
They reached the park and she noticed how the scents from earlier had dispersed. She pulled her scarf furter over her eyes and she sighed. Starting to feel weary from being exposed to the sun for too long.
"How about a drink?" She didn't really wait for an answer as she made her way towards the tavern she had visited so many times.She longed for a drink, even though it wouldn't have the wanted effect on her.
Valentine smiled to herself when Rose said it was alright for her to take Ashton. "Thank you so much." She told Rose and then looked at the cat girl as she spoke. [b] "Alrightly! I shall have that out for you as soon as possible." Valentine then gently grabbed Ashton's arm and tugged him over to where the bar was.
"Alright, whatever the deal is with the locket, please stop it now. Whatever you do outside of the tavern is your own doing. In here, however, I need you to respect my wishes and not bug Rose about the locket." Valentine's cell phone then started to buzz.
She pulled out her phone and answered the call, Jennova's sweet voice coming through the speaker so both her and Ashton could hear Jennova. "Hey, I was wondering if you would shut down the Tavern a bit early tonight and bring everyone over for a Welcome Home party." The succubus asked nicely.
Valentine shared a glance with Ashton before answering. "Sure, I'll see if everyone wants to go. You might want to call Vanora and Asher, I haven't seen the two all night."
"Alright. Just make sure that everyone is okay with the fact that Jenni is a hybrid. Remember she didn't ask to be one. She's extremely shy and hates herself already because everyone treats her differently. I'm starting to think we should just find her some friends and force people to like her. By the way, Levi wants to be our hit man. That'll give him a free bar tab for life." Jennova laughed at the "free bar tab for life" part.
Valentine sighed, she knew this wouldn't be easy, Jennora had some abilities to do things that normal fey and succubus could not. "Alright, I'll call you when we are on our way."
After hanging up she looked at Ashton. "Do you want to go to her party tonight?"
Jennora
"Oh hello there. Once again I'm sorry, but I should really be going" Reyna said before leaving. Jennora waved her off and continued walking home. She smiled as she walked up the steps to her sister's large mansion and spirted to her room when her sister unlocked the door.
Jennova
After Jennova got off the phone with Valentine, she sighed before sending the same text to three people. (Levi, Asher and Vannora)
Hello,
This is Jennova. My little sister came home and I would love to throw her a Welcome Home Party tonight. She is a hybrid however, and most people are very cruel to her. If you have the humantiy (haha..) to put your thoughts past that could you please make an appearance tonight? She is half succubus and half fey. If you think I am a seductive devil wait til you meet her. She's a very sweet girl and extremely shy. The party starts in two hours at 3907 Moonlight Ave.
Thank you,:)
As Asher looked around for his clue for getting to that Fey's bar, he also looked around in case any of the remaining goons were nearby. However, it seems that there weren't any more. Asher sighed. Good. I won't have to deal with them anytime soon.
"How about a drink?" The young vampire girl asked suddenly. Asher looked to his left, staring at the girl. I know she's older than what she looks like but.... It feels strange, still, to see some young kid asking for a bottle of alcohol. Asher thought. Then again, the vampire girl was probably becoming weaker from the ever-burning sun.
"Well, I was going to treat you to one, anyway." Asher muttered. He kept looking around before getting a text message. "Hm?" Asher brought out his cellphone.
"......" Asher stared blankly at the screen. "How the hell did she...." Asher muttered before sighing and putting his phone away. "Freaking stalkers everywhere I go...."
Vanora was well on her way towards Val's tavern. Her steps carrying her the shortest and exact direction.
She didn't show it though, but the sun was really taking a toll on her at this point. Breathing was getting more difficult and she felt, (as if it was possible) paler than usual.
"Well, I was going to treat you to one, anyway." She heard Asher mutter and the corner of her lips tugged ever so slightly and she turned around and she had toput in more effort than usual to sound as her usual self. "How very convenient then."
It was her turn to wink at Asher and she once again turned around to continue towards their goal.
Only a minute or so had passed before she discovered she had received a text message. She grunted as she stopped and as discretely and as quickly as possible, with a little help of her vampire assets, pulled her cellphone from her chest and under her dress. She hated carrying a purse or similar. They were only in the way. She remembered distinctivily telling anyone she passed her number to that only contact her for emergencies. She scanned it quickly.
This was obviously a mass sent text. She sighed and placed her phone back. Obviously if Jennova was going to be at this party, so would Val. Meaning the bar would be closed. She turned around and noticed Asher was reading a text aswell and seemed confused but also as annoyed as she was.
"Freaking stalkers everywhere I go...." She actually chuckled at this. "Well, it seems that the bar will be closed by the time we get there. Maybe there will be something to drink at the party?"
Valentine
After being almost sure that everyone at the little table was going to make it to the party, Valentine wrote Jennova's address down on a piece of paper and stuck it in the middle of the table. "Well, for those of you who would like to go change and then meet us there your welcome to take the address. Or you could use some random clothes I have hanging up in the back. I save them for Jenn's parties all the time!" She said excited that there was something better going on tonight.
Valentine looked at Takeru and Elaine before leaving. "Enjoy your meals"
As soon as Valentine walked back to the bar the little girl with the purple hair asked her "What's your favorite thing on the menu" and then said "I decided I'll wait til closing to walk with you"
Valentine thought for a moment, there were plenty of fantastic things to order, so that was a hard question to answer right away. Though after a few seconds of thinking it over she made her desicson. "I think I greatly enjoy the Italian pasta with chicken."
Valentine smiled and made the girl a glass of wine. "And it goes great with this" She added. "By the way, knowing Jenn this party will be semi-fancy. I have some dresses in the back if you'd like to look at them before we leave. There's literally a million dresses back there and about just the same amount of suits for guys." She laughed at herself. She had a little collection, she couldn't help it.
((OOC: Time skipping here.))
After all the dishes were cleaned and almost everyone who wasn't going to the party had left, Valentine opened up the doors to her back room. It was almost like a small house, with a living room, a few rooms with beds if someone needed to crash. It was rather comfortable back there as well.
There was a room directing across from the door that she had opened that was full of clothing of all kinds. Valentine picked herself out a long silk blue dress with a white bust part. She loved the dress, she had gotten it for her 21st birthday, which was forever ago. But Valentine didn't really grow all that much, so she kept it all these years and only wore it to very special places. And tonight, was special. Even if others thought of it as just a party where they could get free drinks and food it was special.
She changed quickly and came out of the room with her long white hair down and a blue bow on a headband in her hair. She smiled at the others waiting for her in the bar. "Let's go!" She said looking at all of them. She may not be close with any of them, and she was probably way too friendly but she just guessed that- that's how it would always be for her.
Jennova
The servants had gotten to work quickly, making her mansion look perfect for guests, for some strange reason they were decorating everything. They decorated her front yard, every inch of the house and even the garden in the back yard. Both the front and back doors were wide open and they were just setting food out in the ballroom when she had come downstairs after changing.
Jennova had picked a beautiful white dress to wear for the party and had even straightened her hair. She wasn't worried about how she looked but for parties like these, she had believed that she should look her best but not as good as her little princess. She smiled as she stood in the doorway. Watching the servants making final twiks to the front yard and the front garden areas.
She wondered if anyone would show up besides Levi and Valentine. Hopefully the two would drag others along for their own "misery". Why wouldn't anyone want to not come to one of her parties? She served drinks that you could never get at the bar, and she had humans that enjoyed getting vampire teeth in their skin.
Jennova had laid down a dress on her sisters bed because the one she had picked out on her own was horrible. -In her opinion- So when her sister came walking down the stairs Jennova couldn't help but giggle a bit inside.
((OOC: A picture of the dress :P ))
Image
Jennova sent her sister into the ballroom while Jennova went for a small walk around her yard, she noticed a car was parked in her drive way but it was not one of hers. She gracefully walked over to the car just to see that Levi was sleeping in his car, this made her giggle a little bit as she knocked on his window and stepped back.
Only when he was out of the car did she try to talk to him. "Well hello there sexy devil." She stopped to think for a moment before asking "I know that your not attracted to anyone but isn't that a lonely life? Not having anyone to love or ever to be loved?" As soon as she asked it she could hear voices, and saw that Valentine was coming down the street with a group with her. A rather large group.
She looked back at Levi before going back inside. "Don't answer that. It's a stupid question." She tried hard to believe that other people felt pain because they didn't have that one person in their life either. Jennova would always live alone, well besides with her little sister.
Jennora
Image
((OOC: Oh dear... Im too tired to do this.. ))
Jennora didn't like that her sister had told her she couldn't wear the skin tight short dress, and choose her a different one. She wasn't AS OLD as her sister but at least more then half way there and her sister still treated her like a child!
They hadn't even been together under the same roof for at least an entire night before her older sister treats her like a child, how fantastic. And she choose to come back home to this. Jennora sighed as she mentally calmed herself down. Once she did she smiled and looked at herself through the full body mirror. Her sister did have good taste.
No matter how hard she tried she could never stay mad at her sister.... Well to be honest Jennora couldn't stay mad at anyone for too long. She giggled at that thought as she put on the matching heels to the dress and took out the rollers in her hair.
Her long blue hair, wasn't AS long now, just fell to her middle back now that it was curled to perfection. She was half fey afterall. It was only right that she looked perfect. Most times the woman didn't even have to try, though tonight was special. Her sister was welcoming her into the world for the first time ever.
She quickly made her way downstairs just to get a goofy smile and get told to go to the ballroom. At first she didn't like how bossy her sister was being, but once entering the ballroom she felt that anger melt away. The place was sparkling! It was beautiful! And there were decorations of all kinds. She thought her eyes were going to pop right out of her skull.
It seemed as if Valentine knew exactly what Rose was thinking as while she had been deliberating in what to wear. "Well, for those of you who would like to go change and then meet us there youā€™re welcome to take the address. Or you could use some random clothes I have hanging up in the back. I save them for Jenn's parties all the time!ā€ The Fey told the group, setting the loose leaf sheet of paper, on which she had scrawled Jennovaā€™s address, in the middle of the table; presumably so one could take it to find their way.
Rose appreciated the offer of the clothes that would probably be more extravagant than her own, but she felt more comfortable in bearings that were of her possession. Obviously this meant she would have to go home and change. Being a woman, even she had a scrap of pride left meaning that she would not show up in such attire as she donned currently.
Based on the fact that Valentine had suggested on changing out of casual clothes, the party was to be a relaxed formality where the guests were expected to pretty themselves up a bit. She had just the outfit that sat waiting in her closet in case of such an event. Rose was already planning her outfit as she ripped off a small section of the paper on the table and, using the ballpoint pen that Valentine had previously used to write the original address, copied the number in a scribble. She had decided on leaving the piece of paper that Valentine had given the group just in case another was in need of directions.
ā€œIā€™ll be taking a separate route from the rest of you.ā€ Rose spoke to the whole group in general just to get her plans known and then proceeded to leave the bar.
Laterā€¦
[ Time: Early Evening. About a little over an hour or so before the party. Setting: Rosettaā€™s Apartment.]
She unlocked the door to her apartment as quickly as possible. Rose only had about an hour or so before the party and so needed to move fast. The door opened with a creak, indicating it was due time for the hinges to be oiled, to reveal the slightly cramped room still in the same mess she had left it in. She cringed as she recalled her short week of what she had thought was depression. After closing the door she tossed her jacket on the queen sized bed that took up most of the space in the room and grabbed a broom and dust pan from a small closet.
It didnā€™t take long for the young woman to clean the mess that she had made over the time period of a week. It had looked like quite the calamity had happened in the apartment but this was because of how small and cheap it was. It wasnā€™t that Rose couldnā€™t afford a fancy home to call her own. After all, when she had turned eighteen she had inherited the Stoane fortune. It was just that, ever since she could remember, she had always had the phobia of large and empty spaces where no one but her resided in. They always seemed so lonely and dark. Not as comfy and cozy as her apartment, although earlier in the day it had seemed a bit too confined. Perhaps itā€™s time for me to upgrade my living standards.
Rosetta hopped into the shower for a quick clean. It proved to be a small problem, not to mention irritation, when she couldnā€™t get the necklace off, but she ignored it praying that it would rust after a few hot baths in the future.
Finally, with a towel wrapped tightly around her torso, Rose went to scavenge through her closet in a mission to find the perfect outfit. Finally she came up with the treasure she had been searching for. It was a bit small but she was sure it would still fit snugly. She hadnā€™t yet had the chance to wear the dress since she had bought it a while ago and the thought of finally being able to show it off was exciting.
It was clear, at least to Rose, that it was a simple, less extravagant look that she was striving for tonight. The dark purple dress itself was relatively plain though it curved with her rather petite body nicely. The top portion was sleeveless and only mere straps clung to her shoulders while the rest of the material clung tightly around her body and ended with a slight frill a little past mid-thigh. She adorned pumps to fabricate the illusion that she was taller than her actual height and topped the plain yet formal outfit off with shimmering, crystal like earpieces that dangled from her ear lobes. Lastly she grabbed a section of her hair and pulled it into a ponytail, allowing the rest of her locks to hang free.
Finally she tucked the two pieces of paper, one containing the address she was headed to the other the emergency phone number, into her strapless bra before leaving.
The manor was large and intimidating with a long driveway in the front. It seemed almost Victorian with a modern touch here and there. Now that she had arrived, Roseā€™s excitement was mixed with nervousness of meeting so many new people. She had always rather been socially awkward which clashed with her tendency to impulsively act and talk to strangers. She didnā€™t know why the night seemed to hold some sort of significance; perhaps it was the events that had taken place over the course of the day or all the strange people she was meeting.
Whatever the cause was, she was sure, somehow, that she was going to come out of her little shell once and for all. It all started now, at the front of the mansion. She hesitated before moving forward, unsure of what action she was to take. She inhaled deeply before firmly knocking upon the luxurious and eloquently styled front doors.
Ashton rarely ever dressed in formal attire, much less a suit; he preferred to don casual everyday clothing to events such as weddings, parties, and the like. However he would comply this time, or at least partially. He wasnā€™t going to wear a stiff suit that made movement hard. That would be troublesome. However, he was willing to wear a black collared shirt with a loose tie in place. It was better than nothing. After all, it would be quite the spectacle for him to show up shirtless though not necessarily a bad thing.He kept his dark, almost black, jeans on however as he found the ā€œproperā€ pants to be as stiff as cardstock which was quite the annoying factor.
After he had finished changing at the back of tavern per Valentineā€™s instructions, he caught up with the group that was preparing to leave. The female fey locked up the bar and they were on their way. It was a rather large group and as he was making his way to the front so he could converse with Valentine he bumped into the blonde Neko who was decked in a brightly colored dress of frills and lace.
When he finally had been able to part the sea of creatures, Ashton placed himself beside the white haired woman. ā€œSo, what exactly is the relationship between those two? It seems pretty secretive and it was quite the spectacle back there at the bar when she came in.ā€ ā€œSheā€ referred to Jennovaā€™s sister.
He waited for a reply as the mansion that he was familiar with came into view.
((OOC: Okay, I know Ashtonā€™s post is super short and thereā€™s no Elaine, but Iā€™m tired and short on time. Also I need my daily dose of sugar. [I know, Iā€™m quite the fatty. :3] I'm just gonna tag everyone btw.))
"Maybe something to drink at the party?" The little vampire said. She chuckled at Asher's statement about there being stalkers everywhere he went. Asher sighed. Someone's maaaad~ A voice in Asher's head said, playfully. Screw off. I have no time to spend with you and your little games.
Turning to the girl, Asher replied in an annoyed tone. "I am not one to go into these types of places. While I do know the hosts, although not very personally, I'm not one to enjoy parties." Asher turned his head left and right, looking for cars before crossing the street. "I'm very so-"
Suddenly Asher gripped his head, having a sudden headache. Argh... Damnit! The Immortalis gritted his teeth before the headache stopped. He stood up straight and, with a larger sigh, turned to the girl. "You know.... How about we go to the party anyway?" Asher said with a slight smile on his lips.
[OOC: Reason for Asher seemingly being hypocritical. Xiiver can just timeskip into the party in her next post if she wishes, considering I have no idea what to do. xD]
