Distinguishing Marks
There are a few scars on Annelise's body, some from years of roughly being a gymnast and for those summers that she spent with cousins and siblings. The only piercings she has are her ears and that is all she is ever going to get. She does have a few tattoos: one, two, three, and four.

Clothing Description
Annelise's look is never far from the obviously expensive and obviously elegant, even during her simplest of days. There are rarely items worn that aren't designer brands and while she is not typically a preppy Manhattan elite, she is never not classy and glamorous. There is always a bit of sensuality in her outfits, whether it means that there is skin showing or not. The point is that she can catch your eye while maintaining a timeless elegance befitting her age and social status. Such can be seen here, here, here, and here. She seems to always know the latest trends and each of her ensembles, even her uniforms, look like they stepped out of a magazine.

Family Life
Annelise is the second youngest in the Walton family line, the richest family in the continental US. With her grandfather, Jim Walton, on the Board of Directors at Wal-Mart, CEO of Arvest Bank, and Charmain of Community Publishing Inc, her mother Alice never had to worry for anything. Money had never been a problem within their family and that didn't change when Alice became Alice Pioretti. As most would be quick to point out, Annelise does not hold her father's surname, but her grandfather's. Why? Because Christopher Piroetti and Alice Pioretti did not last long. In fact, they were barely married six months before Alice filed for an annulment. Apparently, Christopher didn't know what fidelity meant and ALice had no patience for someone who could not remain loyal to her. Though, this did not come as a surprise to many. Alice was only about eighteen, a little older than that, when she decided to get married and wound up pregnant. Christopher had already married once and divorced with two other children in California. He had already played this game once. He obviously didn't expect Alice to play him harder. She fought for full custody of the unborn baby and to even rub salt in the wound, she even has him paying child support despite the copious amounts of money her family has. After all, everyone knows the Walton family; their network is over $150 B. And Annelise has known that little fact for the longest time.

When she was around four years old, her mother moved them to a very lavish estate in Long Island, New York. Here is where Annelise spent the large part of her childhood, although she would return to Arkansas during the summers and other family events. Alice hired private instructors for Annelise at a young age so that by the time Annelise turned ten, the then brunette spoke English and French quite fluently. She would never learn her father's native Spanish tongue, though she has caught onto the phrases and such since they reconnected. Annelise had no other siblings near her, only her caretaker, Maria's, daughter. Sure, she had time to play with her aunts and uncles, but they were in their late teens and twenties. They couldn't really entertain young Annelise. So, she dedicated her time to gymnastics and became an All-star cheerleader. She took dance lessons and was a rather curious little girl, oftentimes inquiring about the world from her mother whenever the woman made the time. By the time her eleventh birthday rolled around, Annelise was the apple of her mother's eye - if she already was not - and already on the way to becoming a business woman.

When she turned twelve, she expressed an interest in fashion. While it was quite easy for her to simply lounge about since her own trust fund was a very large sum, Annelise could never fathom sitting around. And as a child, if it wasn't her mother's closet she was admiring, it was the wardrobe of the elite, particularly celebrities or designers. Her earliest loves were Chanel and Prada, but she grew to love BCBG and every other designer label. She's learned how to sew from her mother and was taken to various fashion shows and red carpet events, making herself known in those arenas. While most would say that she is pretty much spoiled by her family and all the wealth they have, all Annelise does is remind them that they don't have her opportunities and instead of hating, they should just try to get on her level. Even though she knows most will never.

Academic Career
While Annelise does not have the highest grade point average in Constance, she does fall under the A- range with her 3.87 grade point average and she is very proud of it. It has nothing to do with having others write her papers or do her assignments, though she has been known to elicit such devotion when she is too busy to be concentrating on homework. She is the most popular girl at Constance and even those at The Dalton School know of her. She is the girl every girl only dreams they could be or emulate, and she is the girl every guy has wanted at least once in their time at school. Currently, she is looking for someone to take her throne once she leaves.

Future Plans
She acts flippantly about it, but Annelise is applying to Columbia University, NYU, Cal-Berkeley University, Cambridge University, and a few other notable schools. But she's mostly looking to stay in New York where some of the bigger designers are.

Hobbies
Shopping: as a girl who loves fashion and clothing, of course she loves shopping and never to basic stores. No, she considers shopping a pastime, even window shopping. She loves the idea of trying pieces on and even more-so admiring them for their fabric and the intricate designs. But she would never spend too frivolously. Exercising: If she is not at the UES' Exhale spa getting a full package, she is there for the Core Fusion sessions, though she is not opposed to working out at home in her private facility with the assistance from her personal trainer. She likes being fit, especially since she stopped cheering and gymnastics after coming to Constance Listening to music Dancing Sketching and designing fashion items Being in charge Throwing themed parties

Bad Habits
Rumors: While Annelise would say that it is beneath her to start rumors, if it was for the sake of getting back at someone she does not like or because someone has wronged her, she would not hesitate in filling the halls with whispered insults. Most people call it vicious, she calls it getting even. Not giving people the time of day if they are not a part of her social or economic circle Being bitchy and catty towards people who aren't her friends, while smiling as sweetly as can be Getting really jealous and territorial when she sees a love interest with another female Working really hard to prove herself to her father, oftentimes being too anxious and caught up in that Being bossy and demanding, particularly with her friends

Personality
{Vivacious, Vindictive, Vain, Cunning, Demanding, Territorial, Guarded}
When you are as privileged as a girl like Annelise Walton, you're going to have to come with some kind of flaw and if there is one thing that most people hate her for, it is her being a bitch. The worst part is that she has acknowledged that she is a bitch; she practically revels in it. And why not? If her being very blunt and telling you about yourself is her being a bitch, then so be it. Granted, her specialty in bitchiness revolves around being quite judgmental at times, looking down on certain people, and being very expressive in her likes and dislikes. Besides, why should she not be a bitch? Did anyone think the B in 'Queen B' stood for anything else? And her being a bitch simply means she has power and power is everything to her.

Annelise is the girl to be admired and sought after and to be completely honest, she has a very high opinion of herself. She's confident, oftentimes being seen as vain considering how amazing she thinks she is. And she is. She has one of the highest grade point averages in her school, all of her clothing are pretty much designer brand, she is possibly the richest girl at school, and she is pretty damn good looking. Besides, if you appear like you have confidence in yourself, then nobody can bring you down. At least, that's her mentality and sure, she might bring others down, but that's only if they are aggravating her or have seriously pissed her off. The latter is not something you want to do. Being a queen means being able to put people in their places and while Annelise does have that aforementioned mean streak, her vindictive side is one that you never want to cross. In fact, you would be an idiot to do so. Whether her revenge means the simplest of things like being catty and snarky and hurting one's feelings or pretty much making it impossible for you to remain in the city without everyone knowing how ruined she has made you, know that it will come and it will end with her cute little triumphant smile and a devilish look in her eyes. With a deceivingly sweet face and heart-wrenching smile like Annelise's, who would even suspect that she could do any wrong? However, don't let the sweetness and the Gucci fool you. She will ruin you with whatever power she possesses.

However, don't ever think that Annelise is just bitch. No, she does have a sweeter side and mostly all of her friends see it. Can she be a bit demanding and bossy? Yes, it wouldn't be Annelise without it. She can be the best friend that one could only dream about or she could be your worst enemy. The big thing is that while some can say that they are close to her, only a select few can say that they truly know her - that they have seen the girl who tries so damn hard to prove herself to a father that is barely there and a mother who has no expectation of her. Annelise can be quite guarded, oftentimes being friendly and sweet to friends and loved ones, but holding them at a distance. If they aren't that close, then they can't hurt you and only a select few have managed to dent that barrier. She doesn't want them to see - doesn't want them to see how jealous she gets when her friends make other friends, when girls talk to the boys she wants, when her father spends time with her other siblings. No, she will never be vulnerable. At least, that's what she tells herself.

Kenna watched Kat down what had to be her third martini and she grimaced silently. While she knew the girls had had secret get togethers over the summer, Kenna had been present for all the parties and she had witnessed a drunken too many times. The girl was quite a lightweight and Kenna was worried about her. But, she didn't say anything. She'd imagined that Annie or Lexi had noticed as well and assumed that they would take care of it.

As Kenna got changed into her dress, she smiled at Lexi. "You look gorgeous, Lex," she said. While she knew that Lexi didn't particularly like her, and Kenna didn't particularly like her either, she wasn't one to pass up on telling someone they looked good. She never kept things to herself, no matter how small, and particularly not a compliment.

Hana walked in to the room then in a dress that Annie had picked out for her and Kenna surveyed the new girl. She noticed out of the corner of her eye that Kat was looking at her rather distastefully, but she didn't say anything about it. Annie commented on the dress while Kenna stayed next to Lexi and Kat. Annie may welcome the girl, but the only reason Kenna was fine with her presence was because with her there, Kenna wasn't an outsider. She had already noticed Kat and Lexi staying closer to her, and even Annie was being more friendly, and she suspected it had something to do with the new one in their ranks. Not that she suspected Hana would stay with them for much longer. She could just tell by the girl's constantly nervous gaze that she was uncomfortable in this situation, which meant that she wouldn't stay with them for long.

When Annie told Hana to go in the other room and proceeded to pull Kat upstairs, Kenna found herself alone with Lexi. Not knowing what else to say, she decided to go with inquiries about her new boy adventure. "So, do you think Lex would want to talk to me? Say, tonight at the party?" While she asked, she played off nonchalance by checking her makeup in the mirror. In reality, she was very concerned with what Lexi would say. It had only been a day where she had admitted to herself that she was interested in Lex, she had realized that she had been eyeing him way into the summer as well. So, she wanted to actually try. Maybe instead of sleeping around like usual, she could actually make something out of this.

Hana Lane

Hana couldn't resist smiling when Annelise approved of how the dress looked at her. She knew that she might end up looking back on tonight and hate how shallow she had almost instantly became (since when did she care what a bare acquaintance had thought or her appearance?), but for now, that didn't matter. She wasn't hurting anyone by playing along for the evening and really, she was helping Katherine, even if she still didn't know why her step-sister had truly wanted her there in the first place. It was a question that Hana still wanted a truthful answer to, but she wasn't going to push the issue tonight when Katherine was clearly already feeling spiteful.

Her question was redirected to Annelise, who thankfully, answered the question and instructed her to leave them in the guest room she had changed in. "Thanks," she replied, before hurrying back up to the room she had come from. Maria followed a few steps behind her, and although she seemed more than accommodating, Hana felt slightly awkward in her presence. It was the same way that she felt around the Quinn's house staff when she had first moved in, and sometimes still now. She felt guilty being served by someone who had no other choice, but to lose their job, to do so. Maybe it was because she had grown up with a mother who sometimes had to clean houses for extra money to squeeze by, but Hana felt bad for Maria, even if Annelise seemed to be kind and connected with her. The woman and Annelise lived lives that were almost complete opposites.

Once in the room, Hana placed her folded pile of clothes on the dresser and looked over hopefully at Maria. She offered her two pairs of shoes, but after finding that the first pair fit, Hana didn't even bother to try on the second. The shoes looked nice and felt as comfortable as heels ever would, so she wasn't going to be picky. "Thanks for the help," she said softly as she adjusted the shoes and then stood up and studied her figure in the mirror. Once Maria was gone, she pulled at the bottom hem of the dress a bit, before doing the same to the top, hoping to make sure that it was snug in its position.

Annelise would probably be coming in shortly to do her makeup, so Hana took a seat on the edge of the bed and pulled out her phone. Her sister had texted her a few times over the past few hours but being so busy with getting ready, Hana hadn't checked her phone. The first message read, "Heard you're hanging with Kat and her friends tn ;). Lmk how it goes and you have Julian's # if you have to get the hell out of there". Even though Ashley wanted Hana and Katherine to be friends just as much as Alexandre did, she was her sister before anything, and knew that it was mostly Katherine who refused to work on the relationship. She, too, had experienced Katherine's wrath and although she was less catty in responding to it, she was well aware of the problems. In the second message, Ashley passed along Julian's phone number and insisted that she had been joking in the first text, but was resending it just in case she didn't have it and needed a ride after the party. The final message had only been sent a few minutes before, and read, "We just landed at JFK so I'll see you when you get home. Ik you know all of this but make sure you eat something before you go and don't drink too much!". Ashley was good with not being over-motherly, but also being a responsible legal guardian, but Hana rolled her eyes at the message. She barely ever drank, and on the occasions that she did, it was only one or two cans of beer at sketchy parties in Brooklyn. She had politely rejected the offer of martinis throughout the day today and had no desire to drink anything at the party, but she knew that Ashley probably sent the text as a reminder for her to look out for Katherine. Too late... If Hana said something to Katherine about her drinking, it would cause World War III, and besides that, her friends had clearly drank with her before. They would be the ones who could tell when she had reached her limit.

Annelise allowed Katherine to grasp her hand, a sort of confirmation that everything was fine and that she didn't need to be worried or looking into something that wasn't there. But everything was not fine - since when had Annelise ever been wrong about something like this? She obviously did need to be concerned and there was something there - even if Katherine wanted to remain adamant that there wasn't. Annelise felt even a little offended that one of her best friends - someone who has known her for a long time - believed that they could lie to her about something that was obviously affecting them. It made her want to snatch her hand away. It made her want to yell at Katherine - to demand an actual explanation and none of the bullshit she was hearing at the moment. It made her want to slap her friend to the point that Katherine couldn't lie to her anymore.

She didn't do any of that.

"Ok. Fine, I'll pretend that I'm distracted for the night," she told the brunette levelly, playing with the strands of her hair when she released Katherine's hands. Annelise had to fight the urge to pout for being kept out of whatever loop Katherine had created. No matter, though. She would find out whatever the hell it was that was keeping her best friend from being honest with her. "Though, I'll probably need at least one shot before the night is over. I'm kinda over martinis right now." Annelise said the last part on a somewhat lighter note, releasing her hair and getting ready to gather some make-up for Hana. She glanced up at Katherine's face only to see the remnants of...what was that? She couldn't pinpoint the emotion at the moment, mostly because it was rare for it to appear on Katherine's faces and she had to fight to keep the curiosity off of her face. Turning to face the mirror like her friend, Annelise definitely had to give herself an appreciative look. "And I think my mom has more than made up for everything with this dress, don't you think?" She giggled a bit at the thought and before she could tell her mind to stop it, she faintly wondered what Cliff would think of her attire for the evening. She hadn't really seen his reaction to her hair, but would he like the dress? It was different than her typical safe but sexy attire. She had always played up cute really well. It was her staple. Being cute and sweet yet fashionable kept her likable; it offset the underlying bitchiness. Being sexy...that wasn't exactly a domain she had crossed, at least, not in public. Boyfriends and one-night-stands (whenever those occurred) would tell you otherwise. Still, Annelise didn't always feel sexy - not that she had ever told the girls this. And something about being a senior - almost being an adult - did something to her. And she wanted him to notice.

"And as if anyone can get on our level. They'll just be lucky that we even dance with them," she stated haughtily, posing in front of Katherine a little before laughing. "Alright, come on. We better get going. The limo should be downstairs. Go tell Lexi and Kenna that I'll be down with Hana in about one minute." She procured a few basic makeup items and left her wardrobe using one of the doors that led to the hallway. The next door to that was the bedroom Hana was in and after a brief knock, she stepped inside - already feeling rightfully like the queen she was, especially with the added her heels gave her. "Hey, sorry about the wait. Had to get changed. I'm going to do something small on you, nothing too dramatic." She told the brunette and approached her, giving Hana a moment to say no but was aware that she would concede. Annelise smiled a bit as she started applying product to the girl's face and said, "You don't actually need much of anything really, but we're just gonna give you a little pizazz." It only took a few minutes and Hana's face was finished and Annelise smiled, pleased with her work. "Alright, let's go. The girls are waiting."

Annie wasn't happy which meant Lexi wasn't happy. When Annie told Kat to come down stairs she looked normal but Lexi could practically feel the tension coming off of her. She tilted her head to the side but said nothing. She knew that Annie would tell her later but part of her felt she needed to be apart of the discussion. Lexie resisted the urge to follow them upstairs by distracting herself with Kenna. Which worked nice because they were getting along well right now.

Kenna complimented Lexi on her outfit and Lexi smiled genuinely at her. " You too. I love your hair like that." Lexi might not always like Kenna but the girls could have fun together. It wasn't a normal friendship but a friendship nonetheless.

"So do you think Lex would want to talk to me? Say, tonight at the party?" Kenna had asked her. Lexi bit her lip a bit. She hated to mix with Lex's affairs. Not to mention if Lex hurt Kenna it would put her in a compromising situation. Close or not the girls did protect Kenna but Lex was one of Lexi's best friends. Not to mention she didn't even know if Lex was attracted to Kenna in the first place. She might ask him about that tonight though. Usually Kenna just slept around. Which was ironic because people assumed Lexi was the most promiscuous of the group but she had the least amount of sex. Not fair right?

She shook her head, attempting to focus again. " Look Kenna I'm going to shoot straight with you." She said looking Kenna dead in the eye, " You don't know Lex. So before you go romanticizing this in your head or start picturing a relationship with him, you need to get to know him. I'm not saying to not get involved with him because Lex is an amazing guy." She shrugged lightly, " But you should let him let you in first. Trust me you'll know when he's let you in."

With that Lexi stood up and walked away. She was going to go get Annie, Kat, and Hana, but they were already coming downstairs. She approached Annie and Hana first. Annie had done a kick ass job on Hana. The girl looked classy but kinda hot too. She smiled at Hana, " Damn girl you look hot." She gave her a playful light shove as she laughed before winking at Annie.

Lexi looked out one of the windows and spotted a limo waiting for them. " Couldn't we just take a town car?" She pouted at Annie. Lexi hated riding in flashy limos. Her dad always made their family travel by one. Lexi felt no need to look so flashy. She rolled her eyes and headed for the door. " Let's go ladies." She called obnoxiously.

Once they got in the limo Lexi settled in next to Annie and Hana. She looked at Kat apologetically but she didn't think it was a good idea for Kat and Annie to be near each other right now. The two looked at ease but there was underlining tension. Which was pissing Lexi off because they never kept secrets from each other. It's the only way a friendship between three of the schools powerhouses worked. Her phone buzzed and she groaned because she totally forgot about Cliff.

To:Cliff
Guess not. Bring them, you owe me for not telling me about the party. Yup I went there.

She settled into the limo's plush leather seats. Before long they pulled up in front of Elmo and Lexie rolled her eyes at the people outside with their phones ready to tweet and take pictures of them. She would bet money that almost all of them were gossip girl informants.

Katherine knew that this wasn't going to be the permanent end of the discussion, but she was glad when Annelise decided to forget about it for the night. She was never the type of person to worry about things too far in advance and especially with alcohol in her blood, she was content with things just being normal now.

Things almost felt right as the two girls stood in front of the mirror for a moment and evaluated their outfits and Katherine nodded in agreement when Annelise spoke of the dress. "Alice never fails to impress," she said with a laugh. It was surprising, but lucky, that Katherine managed to hold her tongue in the moment, because she was about to casually ask Annie where her mom even was. Tonight was an important night for the young Walton and although the dress probably helped her feel better, Katherine could only imagine that she would have preferred her mother's presence. It was a sensitive subject and not something that Katherine wanted to bring up moments before they would be leaving, though. "That dress is too perfect to be ripped off though, so make sure that tonight's Prince Charming is gentle," she joked. Annelise was always gorgeous, but over the summer, she had stepped her look up to be flawless. She was petite with curves in the right places, her hair was colored to the T, and the vibes that she radiated demanded people's attention. Every guy at Saint Jude's had probably dreamed about getting with her a year ago, and Katherine could only imagine the attention she would get this year.

When Annelise departed without explanation of where she was going, Katherine remembered that she had mentioned to Hana that she would do her makeup. It almost put Katherine back into a foul mood, but she did her best to resist the urge. Now that she had played everything off to Annelise as being peachy, she knew it was best not to make any more of a scene than she already had. She followed direction and headed downstairs, and minutes later, got into the limo with the other four girls. She pretended not to notice when Lexi sat next to Annie and Hana because the only reaction that she would have been able to give to it was a negative one. Instead, she took a seat on the side parallel to them, and turned her attention to Kenna. "You were so right. Those diamonds make that dress one hundred times prettier than it already was." Katherine had missed the unsupportive glances that Kenna had given her earlier as she downed drink after drink, so without that knowledge, she figured that she would be the easiest to hang out with tonight.

Annelise grinned upon Lexi's approval of Hana's look. The two hadn't taken too long and were ready for the evening ahead of them. "Alright, ladies. I think it's time to go." Annelise grabbed her clutch and the small jacket Maria supplied with a knowing grin. It may have been September and the beginning of the autumn season, but Annelise wasn't stupid. It was New York and New York nights could get chilly, and the last thing she needed to be dealing with was a cold. Once outside, Annelise only shrugged at Lexi's complaint. "What can I say? I'm a shallow bitch." She didn't offer an apology and if her bestie wanted one, she wasn't going to get it. Besides, Lexi knew the theme of the evening. Glamor. And what was more glamorous than showing up in front of a lounge like you're a star?

Annelise pretended not to notice the fact that Alexandra chose to sit beside her and Hana as opposed to near Katherine and Kenna. She had said that she would pretend to forget the conversation she had with Katherine, it didn't mean that Lexi had to avoid their friend. Besides, Katherine - like always - already started going hard for the night. Knowing her, she would get off-her-ass drunk and Annelise wanted to enjoy her party before she dragged Katherine out of there. She flipped through her Instagram feed and smirked at the countless selfies taken by wannabes and the like. They looked good, yes, and she had to give some of them props for actually turning up. They were already at Elmo and it seemed to already be lively, which would be great. Her girls would be something to look to. Idly, she scrolled through her contacts before falling upon one name. Pursing her lips, she sent them a text before sliding her phone into her clutch. If he needed specifics after this (which would be stupid since everyone who liked to believe that they were someone knew every little thing about her party that she put out there), she wouldn't help. It wasn't like she liked the asshole in the first place.

To: Logan
"Because I'm feeling gracious today, you're invited tonite. I know that you're not doing anyting important, so do what you will. Never say I didn't do anything for you

"Damn, Kat, you were right. Cliff's friends better be on point cuz we all look fierce," Annelise commented with a lascivious grin, eyeing each of her girls. Even Hana. They did look good, like the goddesses they all were. And while, yes, a part of her was more than anticipating Cliff's reaction and to see what would happen for her tonight, the biggest thing was that she was with her girls. They had their issues, yeah. But they were a group regardless and that was all that mattered. Not long afterwards, the limo came to a stop outside of the lounge. Like Lexi, her thoughts turned sour for only a moment at the thought that any one of the people taking pictures of them could be Gossip Girl, but she let it go. It wasn't time for her to worry about some loser with a blog. It was her - no, their - time to shine.

Like the queen she was, Annelise was regal and flawless when she emerged from the limousine. She opted to leave her jacket behind; she could huddle under it on the way home. The cool air nipped at the exposed skin of her back and with a very poised smile, Annelise led the girls through the crowd of people gathered outside of Elmo. There was no questioning her or any of her girls when she approached the doorman; he let them in immediately. Another set of flashing lights greeted them upon entering the restaurant portion of the lounge, which consisted of an actual red carpet and photographers flanking either sides. Annelise posed a few times, specifically with Lexi who always managed to make her laugh and then, once she was bored with that, headed down the runway so that she could get downstairs. There were a few lingering folks with their drinks in their hands and it momentarily baffled her why they would still be upstairs when she could feel the music pulsing beneath her pumps, but Annelise didn't have time to worry about that. Instead, she politely made her way down the stairs just as her most hated yet enjoyed song began to play.

"Ugh, you would think that people would get over this song," she yelled over the music to the girls. Annelise walked over to the bar, not having to push people out of the way because they moved as soon as they saw her. As soon as she was there, she ordered her usual - Long Island Iced Tea. As she waited for her drink, she pulled Alexandra closer to her. "Watch Kat for me. She's not telling me something and I wanna know." She said it lowly so that the others couldn't hear and once she knew her best friend understood, she turned to Hana. "So, have you ever been to a party like this before?"

He was back in New York. After twelve months of being away from the city, Logan was finally home. He had left Manhattan in late August of the past year after being enrolled in a private boarding school in Connecticut. All of his holiday breaks were spent on family vacations in the tropics, or at his grandparent's home in Florida, and for the summer, his parents forced him to attend a service trip in Costa Rica. He really hadn't seen any of his friends since he left and hadn't told anyone that he was returning, so with all of his social connections, there were a lot of people that he was excited to reunite with. Of course, there was only one person who had occupied more thoughts this past year than he wanted to admit. Alexandra Billington. She was his first real crush and probably would have been his high school sweetheart, had he not been forced to relocate for the past year. That, and if he hadn't cheated on her, but she didn't know about that, and Logan was determined to keep that from ever being exposed.

Logan was against cheating, but he thought that being unfaithful with Lexi was a lot different than just having a lot of side girls. It wasn't his fault that they thought that he was really going to call them the next day. His relationship with Lexi was nothing like that, though. They were dating and he was proud to call her his girlfriend, but back then, he was stupid and reckless. He couldn't just be happy with having the best and had to go and do something that would create an unforgettable pit of guilt in his stomach. Now that he was back, he wasn't going to mess things up with her again. He had barely texted her while he was away and even if she had interpreted that negatively, he hoped that being away for so long would allow him to have a fresh start. She would see how he was going to try to start getting his shit together, and maybe the stars would align for them again. He knew that his parents would be the last to complain if he got back with Lexi and even now as they had their first dinner together as a family again, they didn't waste time in bringing her up.

"So, have you spoken to any friends yet? Alexandra? Clifford? I'm sure they're excited to have you back," his mother said as she looked up from her plate to smile at him gently. The woman had thinned considerably since this time last year, and even though the doctors insisted that she was just losing her appetite due to the cancer-treatment drugs she was on, it worried him.

He paused, twirling his fork around the strands of steaming spaghetti before meeting her gaze to answer. "Uh, yeah, yeah. I might head out tonight to see some of them." Truthfully, none of them knew that he was home. He wasn't really trying to hide it, especially since he would see all of the guys at school tomorrow, but he wasn't sure what to say. It would be easy for him to jump back into his old lifestyle but he was trying not to be that guy anymore. One night at home wouldn't kill him, and in fact, would probably do him good.

"Don't think that now that you're home, you can start screwing around again, Logan. Things need to be different this year, especially if you want to get into Harvard." His father was being serious but Logan knew that he was right. Even if he had heard it a hundred times since being home, it was true. He needed to get his act together, but not to get into Harvard. He doubted that any amount of donations that his father could give would get a student with such a poor record into a school like that. However, he wasn't going to argue about it now, and especially not with his fragile mother sitting at the other end of the table.

"No, I know. I'll probably just stop by Cliff's for a little to say hi and maybe grab some ice cream or something. Nothing crazy."

His father nodded in approval and the rest of the meal was pleasant. Once finished, he retreated to the spacious bedroom he had missed for months. He took a quick shower and began to get dressed in casual attire, when he heard his phone receive a text. He had made a considerable amount of friends at his boarding school and some on the service trip he had just returned from, so he expected it to be one of them. Needless to say, it definitely piqued his interested when Annelise Walton's name appeared and she had texted him to invite him to her party.

A smirk appeared on his face. She lived up to her reputation of being a bitch, but it had always turned Logan on. He took it as her playing hard to get, even if she had made it clear that it wasn't playing. She really had no intentions of getting with him, and Logan wasn't sure if he would even be able to go through with it, if he had the chance, due to her close relationship with Lexi.

To: Annelise Walton
Damn, I knew you wanted me, but no need to make it this obvious that you're stalking me A. I'll see if I can make room for you since I wouldn't want to miss my own welcome home party.

After changing into an outfit more fit for the evening, he was on his way. He reassured his parents that he was going to visit Cliff but when he hailed a cab, he directed the driver to take him to Elmo. Who could reject the invitation to a Walton party?

Lexi laughed as Annie had dragged her along for photos. She had jutted her chest out and even grabbed at Annie's hips to make her giggle. She flipped her hair and took selfies with a few people as they requested. As they made their way down the stairs.

Lexie giggled as she recognized the song. It was the song Annie loved to hate. She grinned and waggled her eyes as she followed her petite friend to the bar. She ordered a pear martini. She typically ordered a cosmo but she was in a fresh mood. The pear martini was light and sweet and she wouldn't get drunk off her ass with one. Annie discreetly pulled her aside to advise her to watch Kat. Lexi nodded, though gravely because she was beginning to think this was getting out of hand and she didn't like the passive-aggressiveness of the situation.

As Annie turned to Hana Lexie began to drift away to one of the lounges in the room. Lexi loved a good party, that was no secret, but it reminded her of how different everything was now. Less than two years ago she used to attend parties like this with Logan Benson. She and Logan would go to parties and events all the time. They did their fair share of dancing and all that but they'd end up in some booth at the club. Lexi's legs would be casually draped over his lap as they'd share some deep intimate conversation. Logan wasn't perfect but he was hers and she was his at the end of the day. Even now it felt strange clubbing without him.

Lexi shook her head as if in doing so she would be able to shake him out of her mind. She stood up , and after downing the martini, headed for the dance floor. Bass made the floor seem to ruble and Lexi reveled in the feeling. She moved her hips provocatively to the beat, letting the music fuel her. It was fun at first but she wished she was dancing with someone. She quickly sought out Kat, dragging her on the floor. She linked hands with her friend and they danced together.

After working up a light sheen of exertion Lexi motioned a fanning motion to Kat before heading outside to cool herself off. She grabbed a bottle of water on her way outside and sipped it calmly as she caught her breath and cooled off. She silently thanked god she was wearing waterproof makeup or she might have looked like a raccoon. She decided to send Cliff and Lex a quick message while she waited.

To: Cliff
Hey text me when you get here

To:Lex
Hey Kenna got a thing for you and she might act on it tonight. If you like her that's cool but if you don't let her know. Either way you know I support you right?

Hana Lane

As she followed the girls into the limo, Hana continued to switch between enjoying and even embracing her day with the girls, to hating herself for liking it. Annelise had been kind enough to welcome her into her home, which was nice in itself, but considering that her clique was so exclusive, it made the gesture that much more appreciable, and probably peculiar. She allowed her to wear a dress that she, herself, had designed, assisted her with her makeup and had some of the top stylists work on her appearance. Even if all of the day's events weren't so much sincere as they were out of courtesy, Hana still had to appreciate it. Annelise could have just as easily pulled a Katherine and told her to get lost. She didn't, and had even been gracious when Katherine seemed to insist that she be nasty. It was nice considering the circumstances, and even if Hana knew that she had never fit in with this crowd before, she decided to enjoy it for the night.

She was glad that Lexi had taken a seat next to her, since like Annelise, she too had been kind to Hana throughout the day. After spending a few hours with the girl, she wasn't as intimidated with the possibility of being excluded from their small talk in the limo. Just to be safe, though, she rested her phone on her lap, ready to pick it up and pretend to text someone if she was suddenly denied inclusion in the conversations. It didn't really happen, though and the ride went by surprisingly quickly.

Hana had never been to Elmo, but it was clear that they had arrived when the car stopped in front of a crowd. There were people outside who almost instantly swarmed the group when it was determined that it was Annelise's crew. Hana knew that none of the attention was meant for her, though, and instead of being the awkward one jumping into pictures she wasn't wanted in, she smiled and made her way into the building without waiting for the others. Another line of photographers outlined the red carpet inside, and Hana followed the same protocol, before waiting at the end of the line of cameramen. She didn't want to cling to the girls, but she was also unsure if she knew anyone who was here yet, and didn't want to be alone either.

The four appeared sooner than later, and looked a lot less fazed than Hana probably did. They were apparently used to the attention more than she was. Not just that, but she figured that big parties like this were also the norm for them, whereas a big night out for her would be a house party in someone's two-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. The atmosphere only increased as the group made their way downstairs. The music got louder, the flashing lights brighter, and the crowd of party guests bigger. While the group gravitated towards the bar, Hana lagged back for a moment. She wasn't planning on drinking and didn't want them to think she was. Once the drinks had been made, she took a step closer. Lexi had pulled Kat off to the dance floor and Annelise addressed her, asking if she had ever been to a party line this before. For a quick second, she considered lying to seem cooler, but she was sure that Katherine had spoken poorly of her enough to ruin any chance she had of seeming cool. "Definitely not," she said with a laugh. "None of my friends would have connections to get us into a place like this," she admitted. Needless to say, none of them would be able to rent out a place like this either.

Hana doubted that Annelise wanted to stand and talk with her while she had tons of other people who socialize with. Again, she didn't want to impose, but she hadn't spotted anyone familiar in the crowd yet. As Annelise turned her attention back to the bartender to get her drink, Hana pulled out her phone and quickly sent a text to Maria and Lex. She had seen Lex earlier that day at school, but didn't have a chance to approach him. She wasn't really aware of his ties with Annelise, so she only hoped that he would be here tonight too.

To: Maria Montgomery
Are you guys at the party yet? I'm by the bar.

To: Lex Manning
Hey :)! Are you coming to Annelise's party tonight?

Cliff Parker

Cliff laughed at Lex's comment, but he was just as much embarrassed as he was amused. It was probably bad that he was only just noticing it, but he was still convinced that it wasn't him that had changed, and was her. Regardless, he shook his head. "I wouldn't give her that much credit, but you know... if the opportunity presented itself...," he responded playfully, and although he was grinning, he wasn't totally joking. While Cliff was a lot more interested in getting to know girls on a "deeper level" than other guys, he wasn't immune to being attracted to certain girls' aesthetics. Annelise was just one of the first girls in a while who had lured him in without him falling for her personality too.

"What about you, dude? Who's on your radar this year?" The pair had caught up a lot during the day but one topic that had been skipped was Lex's romantic interests. Cliff wondered if he had met anyone new over the summer or if maybe, he had gotten with someone that Cliff would recognize. He was curious to say the least, especially since he had seen Lex's phone screen light up a couple of times during the car ride. The texts could have easily been from platonic friends or even his mother, but Cliff hoped otherwise. If he had just nearly confessed to liking Annelise, he wanted Lex to have just as interesting news to share.

Cliff's phone was tucked into his pocket, so he only just now saw Lexi's response to his comment insisting that he bring friends, and her second text asking him to let her know when they got her. The cab was slowing to a stop, but rather than replying, he thought it would be easier to just find her when they got in.

"Damn, I should have brought those chocolates here," he said lightly. Once they had stepped out of the cab, he quickly spotted Lexi standing outside. She looked more flawless than ever, and that was saying something since she always looked on-point. His smile widened as he approached her, stepping past the bouncers and pulling her into a hug. "I can't imagine Mr. Billington letting you out of the house in that, but I'll admit that I'm glad none of my friends were free tonight because they'd be all over you." He figured that throwing the (genuine) compliment about her appearance in would make up for him never inviting any of his friends as she had requested. He was going to ask why she was out here, especially since it was a bit cooler than it had been that afternoon, but he noticed the water bottle and guessed that she had actually come out for the cool weather. "Should we head in?" he looked at Lexi and then tilted his head towards Lex to show that he was directing the question at both of them.

Lexi smiled when she saw Cliff hop out of a taxi. She scrunched up her nose and jokingly chastised " Eeew public transportation." She said snidely. She automatically ran a hand through her hair. Due to her constant musing while dancing it had that "just had sex look". It was a bit fluffier than her original style and much less severe. Ringlets of curls had formed in her baby hair. The effect was still flawless but much more her than the original style.

She wagged her fingers at him " Don't think I noticed the lack of hot models walking around here. My girls are not happy." It was a stretch to say that she was drunk, Lexi was a well known heavy weight when it came to alcohol, but she did have that happy buzz. That delicious in between phase where your not sober but not tipsy either. Everything felt more intense. Whether it was the crisp wind against her dewy skin or the warm blush that she felt all the way from the roots of her hair to the tips of her toes when Cliff complimented her.

She turned to Lex then and gave him a big hug. " Aaah I missed Lex and Lexi." She said with a pretty pout. She kissed him lightly on the cheek before entwining her hands with both of the boys. She dragged them into the building then downstairs to where everybody had congregated. As she walked she quickly said " You think your boys are bad, that new boy Lance literally made out with me after the assembly then sauntered off like he didn't just kiss some chick he just met." She glanced back at Cliff and opened her eyes wide before saying " I know right," dramatically.

She dragged them to the bar where Annie and Hana were waiting. She motioned to Hana " Hey Hana meet two of the hottest boys in Manhattan, boys meet Hana she's fresh meet around here. " She motioned to Lex, " Lex is the athlete hence the body of a god and his mom makes the best food ever." She said genuinely. Lexi had a soft spot for Lex's mom and regularly mooched off of them for food. Sometimes she helped his mom cook too. She motioned to Cliff next , a cheshire grin creeped on her face " And this is Clifford the big red dog. He's the only guy I know who's prettier than me." She giggled lightly before making a serious face, " I'm serious."

Thoroughly satisfied she ordered a round of tequila shots. Once the bartender set them up she handed them to each of them and smiled. " To a new year,", she blew a kiss at Annie " Old friends, "She winked at Hana " And new friends." Then she downed her tequila and bit down the words she couldn't say. To old loves

Benji turned the corner and pulled the car to a full stop just over from the entrance. People were crawling in from all over heading inside to what was going to be a great night. Fingers crossed. Stepping out of the car he grabbed his jacket putting it back on, which would most likely get taken off anyway, and headed to the door. With a nod to the bouncer he stepped inside with Josh right on his heels. Squeezing onto his left hand he took a deep breath, for some reason there was always a nervous feeling that crept up and it seemed squeezing his hand was a great way to shrug it off.

As he headed down the stairs the sinking feeling started to vanish as he waded into the sea of bodies and after splitting up with Josh made his way to the bar. He was never one for this type of music but after a couple drinks he could sit through some of the worst, nails on chalk board singing and think it was the most beautiful thing that had ever heard. And seeing as there was no way in hell that he was going home sober if he was going to be going home at all. The one thing that Benji can always be relied on is his ability to do something incredibly stupid if he happened to get wasted. Most of the time it ended with him blacking out with no memory of anything and a slew of embarrassing, or on the off chance hilarious photos along with a slight chance of him ending up on a rooftop the next day. “Hey man get me a Screwdriver.” He stated to the bartender before looking up and down the bar where with a short glance spotted several familiar faces.

With a smile on his face Benji walked up to the small group. Oh you guys are not doing shots without me. Plus a toast, very nice Lexi.” He added with a wink.

Stepping out of the care Josh quickly brushed his hand through his head that did nothing but shift his bangs an almost nonexistent measurement over. Following Benji down the stairs gradually split up as the party consumed them as they reached the main floor. Heading off to the side Josh swiped someones beer as he passed by a table. Expectantly, yet still disheartening the bottle was empty after a swig or two which left him with a much needed refill. After dropping the now empty bottle at another table he slid into a spot at the bar.

Josh downed a boilermaker and grabbed another beer. He was never one for any of those fancy drinks, hell he wasn't a fan of anything that would get him drunk in less than five glasses. It wasn't a race to see who could get shit faced before the bells tolled midnight. Even if it was there was a race he had piss poor chance of winning it. His tolerance level was through the roof which always tended to end with everyone being on their face as he drew a penis on their forehead and snapped a selfie with it. He's become notorious for performing that and the like.

With another swig of his beer he drifted into the crowd.

In the cab, Lex scrolled through his latest texts, some from summer conquests and others simply from associates asking where he was. Alexander wasn't the party animal; he had never had it in him. At the same time, it was rare when he didn't show up to a party and everyone knew it, so they were checking in on him. Which was nice, but it wasn't like he talked to every single person on his contact list. He was half ready to just delete people. He laughed at Cliff's attempts to play off his obvious attraction to Annelise. "Dude, don't act like it doesn't mean anything. You wouldn't have brought it up if it didn't. I'm not her biggest fan in the world, but I won't say to not give it a try. Who knows? Maybe you'll be the first to actually melt her heart." He didn't think Annelise had a frozen heart or anything. Lex liked to believe that she was just a bitchy, manipulative, and scheming person, but he couldn't judge her - not fully, anyway. There was a difference between the girl who started the rumor about Abby having herpes to the girl he had seen waiting for her mother to come home on a Thursday night, unwilling to start eating dinner without her. Obviously, her heart wasn't made of ice when that picture was in his head. At the same time, he just liked messing with her. That was their relationship.

Glancing at the text from Lexi, one of his eyebrows rose at Cliff's inquiry about his own love life. Lex grinned. "What can I say? I like to keep my options open...though, Lexi just told me Kenna has a thing for me, or something?" He had never really paid attention to Kenna that much before. Not saying that she was irrelevant or anything because obviously she wasn't. She was one of Annelise's girls; she was one of the hottest girls in school by association. However, Lex had been careful not to mess with anyone in Annelise's crew. She was protective of them and she wouldn't have to kick him out of New York; she would just tell his mother. Which was the last thing he wanted.

Before long, they were outside of Elmo and Lexi was sneering at them using public transportation, which was hilarious considering that public transportation was how he got by a lot of the times. However, he didn't say anything. He loved Lexi too much to criticize her, so he smiled warmly at her and returned her hug. He too had to appraise her outfit. "I didn't know America's Next Top Model was recruiting here." He said with a grin and Lexi took his and Cliff's hands and led them inside.

Annelise was just about to respond to Hana when she felt her phone vibrate and whipped it out to see a response from Logan. She rolled her eyes. He was such an arrogant prick, not that she didn't respect him for it at times. She was vain herself, so she couldn't hate him for his own vanity. But he didn't deserve acceptance, she surmised. Not only had he disappeared like a lone wolf from the pack last year, he had also broken her best friend's heart. That would never sit well with her. She typed out a response before shoving her phone away.

To: Logan
Get real, prick. I would've had to find your worthy of my time to want you. But your exile has obvi made you delusional, so do what you want. I've got better fish in the sea to look at.

To distract herself from the impending doom which was Logan Benson, Annelise laughed lightly, finding Hana absolutely adorable as she played with the long straw of her beverage. Hana just seemed so...refreshingly innocent, if that made sense. Everyone she knew partied harder than Miley Cyrus when she was high and that was saying something. She knew that Hana was new to the whole Upper East Side lifestyle, but this was rather precious. She winked at the brunette. "Well, that only means you should have a little fun." Annelise gave a delicate sip to her tea, allowing the cool liquid to slide down her throat luxuriously. The room was slightly humid due to the mass of bodies and exertion from dancing, and she leaned against the bar casually, running a small hand through luscious blonde hair. Before she could scan the crowds in search of someone to distract Hana for the night, Lexi came over with Lex and Cliff in tow. With an impecitble quirk of an eyebrow, Annelise allowed her eyes to rake over both boys discreetly, though her real attention was on yummy Cliff. She smiled then, a slow one, before returning her gaze to the crowd as if she was unfazed by the guys' presences while Lexi did her introductions. Lex, on the other hand, was surprised by Hana's presence and his eyes widened slightly. Hana Lane with Annelise Walton? In what world? Not that he had told the brunette of his own association with the Queen Bee, but still. It was a little shock to see them at the bar together like they were friends or something.

"Hey, Hana. Great to see you here," he said with a smile and Annelise glanced back at him fleetingly, catching the familiarity in his tone. She raised an eyebrow and he shot her a warning look, to which she only smiled sweetly. While Annelise didn't normally do shots, she conceded when she noted Alexandra's exuberance and took one of the glasses once the bartender set it down. She grinned at her bestie and gave a light hip bump to Hana, winking at her playfully at the mention of 'new friends.' Afterwards, she knocked the alcohol back, scrunching her face up ever-so-slightly at the light burn of alcohol. Again, Annelise didn't do shots, so she probably wasn't as used to it as Lexi. Still, she had sucked it up and was now eyeing Lex conspiratorially.

"You two know each other?" She inquired, glancing between Lex and Hana, the former who had stepped closer to the brunette.

"We met this summer," he replied briefly before smiling at Hana. "Hey, let's go over here and catch up." His gaze met Annelise's one more time, who only smirked lightly before returning her gaze to Cliff and Lexi as Lex led Hana to one of the lounge areas. Once they were seated, close enough to have a conversation and not yell, he asked, "I didn't know you were so close to Annelise Walton. How did that happen?"

Back at the bar, Annelise played with her straw idly before raising her gaze to Alexandra and Cliff. She was beginning to think that perhaps she should give them some time alone, maybe give Lexi a chance to seduce Cliff. And while that caused a feeling in her belly that she wanted to go away, she was prepared to do it when a very familiar face appeared. "Benji!" She exclaimed and jumped up a little to hug her male best friend tightly.

It took around ten minutes to get to elmo, which wasn't bad considering how heavy New York traffic could get. Logan was familiar with the restaurant area with it, but wasn't sure if he had been to the lounge more than once or twice a few years back. Tonight, he just had to say that he was there for Annelise's party and he was let in without further questions, and as he stepped inside, it was apparent that he hadn't been pressed further for a reason. Everyone who went to Saint Jude's or Constance Billard seemed to have been invited. It made sense, since Annelise probably wanted to assert her position over the school this year with such a public party.

Logan preferred invite-only parties, but he wasn't the type to complain about large crowds at parties either. More people there meant more desperate girls who wanted an in to the popular crowd, and luckily for him, most of them would do whatever necessary to get there. Tonight, though, he preferred the size because it meant that there would be less of a chance that he would be stuck in any awkward situations. In particular, it would be having to deal with Kenna and Lexi together. He was excited to see both of the girls, but he had cheated on Lexi with Kenna, and had barely been able to face the two together before he left a year ago. Back then, he didn't even feel completely guilty or responsible for what happened, so now that he had accepted that he screwed up, it would be more difficult. To make matters worse, it wasn't like he had told Lexi what happened, so the stress of having to keep that night's event under wraps would still weigh on him. He preferred that over telling her, though.

He remained on the first floor for a few minutes. There were barely any people up there, since the party was going on below in the lounge, but he wanted to make sure he was ready before stepping back into his old life. He took it as an opportunity to respond to Annelise, and considered texting Lexi and seeing where she was, but stopped himself. If he saw her tonight, then great, but if not, he would see her some other day this week. Just because he was back didn't mean that she would want to pick up right where they had left off, and even though he undeniably still had feelings for her, he wasn't sure if he wanted to either.

To: Annelise Walton
Smh I would've thought that the Queen of CB would be a little less bitchy now that the King of SJ's is back, but then again, you do know I like my women feisty.

After he began to feel the few stragglers upstairs curiously glancing over at him, he decided to move downstairs. It was now or never, and with his parents still up his ass, he didn't plan on staying too long tonight anyway. As soon as he began to move through the partygoers downstairs, he could feel eyes on him. It wasn't like the room fell silent and every head turned, but it seemed like many of the people he brushed past held their gaze on him for longer than normal. He was probably the last person that they expected to be at the party, or in town at all. Every few feet, he would get a friendly smile or a, "Hey dude, good to see you're back!", but he didn't do more than nod back at them.

He was looking for people he was actually familiar with, and soon bumped into one. It was Joshua Sinclair, a classmate of Logan's and someone who he had nearly grown up with. Josh's mother had been his parents' financial consultant for years and Logan shared the interests of skateboarding and swimming with him. They probably didn't seem like the most likely friends, since Josh's intentions were normally better than Logan's, but they got along well. "Sinclair!" he shouted over the music as he lightly punched his friend on the shoulder. "It's good to see you, man. What's new?" It was probably strange for Logan to just approach and begin conversation without any explanation for disappearing with no real reason, or for not letting him know that he was going to be back in town out of the blue, but Logan wasn't in the mood to share everything. Anyway, if anyone was good for just having a good, non-serious time with, it was Joshua.

Lexi raised her eyebrows when Lex and Hana walked off. She quickly turned when she heard Benji. She smiled at him and shot him a quick wink, " Thank you darlin'." She gave Benji a quick hug before looking around " Where's your other half?" She asked referring to Joshua.

She turned to Annie and smiled, " Best back to school party ever." She gushed to her best friend. She grabbed one more shot downed it quickly. Ok now she was tipsy but like good tipsy not sloppy tipsy. She ordered a long island iced tea this time. She wasn't really drinking it much, she was mainly rolling her straw around along her tongue. The males around her seemed to enjoy that a bit too much though so she stopped.

She noticed a commotion rush over toward the entrance of the club but she ignored it. With her luck it was that Lance kid. She rolled her eyes at the memory and turned to Annie. " I was just telling Cliff about that Lance guy. He was a total sleaze" She tilted her head to the side as if she was pondering something, " I mean super hot but still sleazy. But like hmmm kinda posh. Maybe sleazy isn't right..." She drifted before snapping her fingers abruptly " Entitled! He was entitled not sleazy." She felt thoroughly satisfied with her choice of words and rewarded herself with a sip of tea. She figured she wasn't too bad if she still had good use of vocabulary.

When Lexi got drunk she tended to get smashed like carry her to her car because she forgot how to walk drunk. Not many people had seen her drunk, in fact only Annie, Lex, and Logan had ever seen her wasted. She hummed along to the music which was playing that new Pitbull and Ne-yo song. She felt like Pitbull was overrated but she could never resist Ne-yo's sexy croon. She set her drink down and made a puppy dog face at Benji " Dance with me?" She asked while tugging on his arm. " Pretty please with a maraschino cherry on top?"

Before he could even respond Lexi was dragging him through the crowd. She spotted Josh and exclaimed, " Found him!" A familiar shape was in front of him. She shook her head, there was no way it was him. She dragged Benji over to Josh ignoring the pit feeling in her stomach. Part of her wanted it to be him to bad and the other part prayed it wasn't.

" I cannot believe you thought you'd waltz in here with out saying hello to me Joshua." She chided playfully. Though her smile dropped completely when she realized that she was in fact correct. Logan fucking Benson was back. She felt so many emotions just from looking at him: Anger, Hurt, Lust, Longing, Happiness. She carefully masked her emotions. Simply giving him a plastered on smile that she hoped seemed warm. " He returns." She said flipping her hair, which she immediately regretted considering it exposed exactly how low the plunge of the dress was though she did have great side boob. " What did you get tired of Connecticut girls or did you plow through them all already?" She meant it as a joke but it sounded a bit bitter even to her own ears. She pulled out her phone and sent what she liked to call a 911 text. It was her way of getting her girls to rally around her when she needed them.

To:Annie, Kat, Kenna
911 fucking Logan is back. I need you guys now.

Hana Lane

Hana was overwhelmed with the party vibes, partly because she was a fish out of water in this setting, and also because she didn't really know anyone here. Even though she was standing with the most important person in the room, it wasn't like she had any confidant to run to if things went wrong. It was nerve-wracking in an obvious bad way, but the way her heart was beating at a quicker rate than normal felt like an adrenaline rush to her. She was used to living inside of the lines, doing normal things like a normal person, and here she was, thrust into an exciting life in only a few hours' notice. Who would have ever imagined that the daughter of a deadbeat dad and felon mother would now be living in the home of one of the wealthiest people in the world and socializing with people of that level? Hana wouldn't have imagined it in her wildest dreams.

When Lexi returned to the bar with two males in tow, Hana smiled. She was somewhat relieved that it was no longer just her an Annelise, but only because she didn't want Annelise to feel forced to converse with her. She was surely much more boring than many of the other guests at the party and as she had felt all day, she definitely didn't want to burden the gracious hostess. Her glee only grew when she realized that the two males were Lex Manning and the boy he had been with earlier that day at school. It was a comforting to see a familiar face in a sea of strangers, and she had been looking forward to reconnecting with Lex all day.

"Hey," she chirped, instinctively twirling a strand of hair around her finger. Like Annelise had been towards her familiarity with Lex, she was also quite surprised with how comfortable he was around Annelise. Hana was sure that he was well-off, but he definitely didn't see him as being on the same level as the Queen Bee herself. In fact, she wouldn't have imagined that Annelise would even know his name. However, simply judging by their actions and how Lexi seemed to verify that there was nothing strange with them socializing, Hana realized that they must have been better friends than she thought.

Hana wasn't sure if Lexi was just exuberant by nature, or if she was getting drunk, but she hesitated when the bartender slid a shot that Lexi ordered in her direction. She was positive that going from maybe ten beers in her life to a shot of tequila wouldn't sit well with her, and she honestly doubted if she would even be able to swallow hard liquor. So, when Lex ushered her over to a booth to talk, she quickly followed. It was a seamless escape from a probably-awkward situation, and she was happy to chat with him as well. He beat her to the question she planned on asking him, so she replied first. "My step-sister forced me to hang out with her friends today, and they were all at Annelise's house. It sounds crazy for me to even say," she laughed. "I was honestly surprised with how nice she is though. People talk her up to be... well, an Ice Queen." She smiled and leaned back in her seat as she turned the questions onto him. "You two seem to know each other well," she commented. While she was curious, she tried to remain casual. If he was somehow her boyfriend or something, she didn't want him to think that she cared too much about their relationship. "How do you know her?"

Katherine thrived on attention, so the photo-op themed walk into the lounge was a perfect way to get her into a good mood. By the time that she was downstairs dancing with Lexi, she had nearly forgotten how annoyed she had been with Hana, and even Annelise, earlier. The two jager bombs that she had downed in the fashion of a pro probably helped with that too, but either way, she was feeling good. Now that they were around so many people, she figured that she wouldn't even have to look at Hana if she didn't want to. There was no reason for her to let someone so unimportant ruin a potentially great night, and especially since she didn't want to seem more peculiar to Annelise, she decided to just try to have fun.

Kat could have used a breath of fresh air too, but "Kanye" had just come on, and there was no way that she was going to leave the dance floor during that song. It was followed by a couple of other good songs, and being preoccupied with her own fun, she didn't realize how long Lexi had actually been gone. Cooling off shouldn't have taken that long, but then again, there were so many people to see and talk to, that she was sure her friend had just got caught up in a conversation with someone else. When she finally drifted away from the DJ booth, she realized that there was a good reason for Lexi's disappearance. She was a few feet away, standing in a small circle with Joshua Sinclair, Benji Henderson and Logan Benson. She couldn't have cared less about Benji. Despite his close relationships with her friends, Katherine thought of him as a low-life. He was always getting into trouble and she just wasn't into his image, but they could usually remain civil. It could have been beer goggles, but as she approached, she thought Josh looked a lot more attractive than she had seen him before. Logan stood out the most to her, though, since she hadn't seen him in over a year and didn't expect him to be back either.

She didn't even have to read Lexi's text to know that the blonde was freaking out. Logan was her ex and as far as she knew, they had never really resolved whatever issue it was that caused them to break up in the first place. Even though Lexi had spent the last year focused on her never-ending plot to woo Cliff, she was sure that Logan still held a spot in her heart.

A flirtatious smile made its way to her face as she draped an arm over Josh's shoulder and nudged her way into the circle. If her attention span while intoxicated wasn't half of its normally short length, she would have started a conversation with Josh, but she was already mentally moving back to the Logan situation. She wasn't sure what to say or do, but Katherine was never one for holding her tongue. Her teachers often used to chide her for speaking just to hear her own voice and even now, it was probably true. "You and Annie didn't tell me Logan was back!" she exclaimed to the group, although she was directing it at Lexi. Logan had disappeared without warning, but she couldn't have imagined that he would have returned without letting someone know, too. How would he have known about the party?

”My love is somewhere in the mess.” Benji waved back to the crowd of bodies with one hand and grabbing his drink with the other as the bartender came around along with more shots in which he gladly downed two before even tasting his own. He finished up his drink and placed on the counter as the song began to change and with a tug he looked over to Lexi who was giving him the puppy dog eyes which always managed to work on him no matter what it entailed him doing. In this case it was dancing. Benji was about to open his mouth but was already being dragged off, looking over to Annie giving his best SOS face before being engulfed. ”I guess I got no choice.”

The two was fairly settled in the crowd when she spotted Josh and a familiar figure standing together. It wouldn’t be all too strange for it to be him although it would certainly be out of place. I’ll be damned.” He spoke plain as Lexi confirmed the suspicion.

Josh was letting himself get swept away with the rest of the crowd as he was finally getting into a partying mood just as he heard someone call him from behind. With a playful jab to his arm he turned around to the one person he hadn’t planned on seeing at all.”Woah, Logan?” He pushed at Logan’s shoulder.”Holy shit you’re actually here.” He joked finishing up his beer. He and Logan had been friends for awhile and always seemed to have a good time when they got together. Last he heard Logan was still up in Connecticut at some all boy school.”Why are you asking me what I’ve done? It’s all good on the home frontman. What the hell have you been up to?” He asked just as he heard another familiar voice coming from the crowd. Lexi dragging Benji behind her showed up definitely enjoying herself for what seemed like at best a millisecond before she realized who was standing in front of her.

He was going to say something to maybe ease the slowly rising tension that is until Katherine came over and draped herself on him, subconsciously placing a hand on her back. From the amount of weight she had been placing on him he that she was deep in the bottle. ”Well ain’t this a welcome back.”

Cliff Parker

Cliff was glad that Lexi was in good spirits, but he wasn't really sure what she was saying when she went on about someone named Lance making out with her at the assembly. The name rang a bell, probably since the head of school had addressed the new student during the meeting, but he couldn't put a face to it and brushed it off as Lexi just being dramatic. While he was quite protective of her, he was aware that she got with guys. It would be idiotic to think otherwise, and Cliff wasn't against Lexi being with other guys, since he didn't exactly want her for himself. However, he had older brother-like standards for whoever the guy she was seeing. Logan had been a perfect guy for her at the start. While Cliff knew better than anyone that he was promiscuous, he also trusted that Logan wouldn't do anything to hurt Lexi. Reflecting on it, he knew he should have known better. Logan would try to seduce any girl with a heartbeat, regardless of how perfect his current girlfriend was for him.

Cliff felt like Lexi was moving a mile a minute, but he took that as an indicator of the party being fun. He didn't expect any less from an Annelise Walton event, though. Speaking of the Queen, Cliff soon stood in front of her as Lexi pulled them towards the bar. God, is she gorgeous... He only checked her out for a moment but when he shifted his gaze to her face, it took more of an effort than it normally would have. Was Lex right? Had she seriously had this much of a draw to her for the past three years and he had been blind to it? Maybe too wrapped up in his own life or preconceived notions about her to consider that she wasn't quite as ruthless as she was panned out to be? He wasn't sure, but the way that he began to sweat from just being in her presence wasn't a good sign.

A drink was needed and he didn't object to the tequila shot that was handed to him. In fact, after he downed it, he turned to the bartender and ordered a beer too. He preferred the simple beverage over fruity drinks, and didn't want to overdo the hard liquor tonight either. When he turned back around to the group, Benjamin Henderson had appeared, but was quickly being pulled away by Lexi to go dance. Lex was also leaving him, as he headed in the opposite direction with Katherine's step-sister, leaving him alone with Annelise.

If he was uncomfortable before, he was even more so now, but he didn't want to keep feeling this way. Even if these sudden feelings for Annelise were strange, he needed to either validate or invalidate them. Part of him wanted to just come out and directly ask her if there was something new about her besides the hair, that he was missing, but he also wanted to play it cool. He needed to be suggestive but not too direct but the normally calm and collected Cliff was suddenly at a loss for words. Even though the music was loud enough to negate awkward silence, he still felt awkward. "I don't know what I'm thinking throwing a party the day after one like this," he smiled slightly but shook his head. "It's not gonna be big or anything, but you should come if you have time." Where the hell was he going with this conversation? He took a slug of his beer as his eyes searched behind Annelise. The one time that he wanted Katherine or Lexi to boldly interrupt a conversation, the two were out of sight. "You know, you look really nice tonight. Different, I think, but in a good way." He said it. It was just a simple compliment, but for Cliff, it was a big step.

Lexi raised an eyebrow. She faintly heard Josh say something but it kinda faded for her. "Hmm ... maybe a little of both," He had replied lightly, as if he was telling the weather. She resisted the urge to gape at him... or hit him.

She had raked her eyes over his body shamelessly. He looked good, really good. Lexi was glad she had seen him first. She wouldn't have been able to stand her ground had he approached her when she was alone. No, a crowded club surrounded by friends was the best way to handle this. Logan and Lexi always seemed to... get each other, at least she thought they did. Logan, even though he had a womanizing nature, was always loyal to Lexi. Though she had a suspicion that he was that way because he knew cheating was a deal breaker for her. She watched her mom excuse her father's cheating for years and she refused to be that. " Of course," She called lightly with a grin "Wouldn't be the first time you dropped a bomb and left."

As she watched him walk away she tossed her hair over her shoulder and stood up straighter. She refused to chase after him. She never chased any man and she sure as hell wasn't doing it today. She turned to her friends and smiled lightly. " Typical, he shows up at Annie's big party knowing that now he's all everyone is going to be talking about when they should be talking about Annie." She shrugged and gripped Benji's hand again. " I still wanna dance." She said to the three friends wickedly.

She dragged Benj, Kat and even Josh further into the mass of dancing people. Rather than being seductive she danced playfully with them. She "twerked" playfully on Kat, sang the lyrics loudly to Benji while smashing his cheeks together in between her hands, she playfully planted a big kiss on Josh leaving him with a kiss mark on his left cheek. She was having fun and didn't want to let anything ruin it. After a while she dragged herself out of it, taking Kat with her. She plopped down in a booth with Kat.

" Are you aware you and Annie are the only girls I know who aren't currently interested in any of the guys in our school?" She poked her in the side " Come on love bug who do you find attractive?"
