Galdra Orarira
Race:
Elven
Appearance:
Galdra's true face can be seen in the character avatar, unless with her inner circle her face is rarely seen, she is in fact believed to be dead and would like to keep it that way.
Galdra mostly dons the Ekalon Garb. That Consists of a crimson hood, under shirt and a silver corset, (yes even for men, uniform is key). A Dark Robe goes over this undershirt and beneath the corset. Black, elven steel wrist guards defend her wrists and gloves, make the hands appear almost dead and skeletal so no distinction through the hands between the Ekalon can be made. Lastly a skull white mask made of tough wood covers their facial features, completing their removal of the individual and self.

Age:
547
Personality:
Galdra is in ways an Objectivist, Objectivism's central tenets are that reality exists independent of consciousness, that human beings have direct contact with reality through sense perception, that one can attain objective knowledge from perception through the process of concept formation and inductive logic, that the proper moral purpose of one's life is the pursuit of one's own happiness, that the only social system consistent with this morality is full respect for individual rights and that the role of art in human life is to transform humans' metaphysical ideas by selective reproduction of reality into a physical formâa work of artâthat one can comprehend and to which one can respond emotionally.
Galdra leads the teachings of the Ekalon, a rebellion group that believes that power belongs to the people, united together by the great chain of morality and not in the hands of a single individual who names itself, king. On taking their vows, members of the Ekalon forfeit their past lives and adopt a faceless persona so that when outsiders see the Ekalon they believe they are seeing a group of the same person, as if through some illusionary magic, but are instead beholding the power of the people united.
Galdra is a very just woman. She values intelligence, innocence and equality greatly. Galdra is more likely to negotiate than use brute strength to resolve an issue, though she does realise not all problems can be resolved with clever words, and when need be, is as deadly and cunning as a fox. Behind the stern emotionless 'mother' figure she holds in the Ekalon, Galdra is a nurturing and warm individual who loathes resorting to violence.
Rank:
Ex- Nobility
Current- Believed to be dead
Weapons:
The Ekalon believe weapons are below them. However the Elven steel finger tips on the gloves have been used as claws before.
Magic:
The Ekalon practice and encourage magic. They believe it is a blessing and should be therefore used. The type of magic used varies among members from their past lives (this aspect of their history is allowed), and those who cannot use magic tend to keep to negotiation and more subtle, assassination through tools.
Galdra teaches to every member who wishes to learn, the art of wind cutting and blood morphing.
By manipulating air with forces, Galdra concentrates the air subtly before slicing it in an arc motion creating a wind blade that when used correctly can slice like steel blades. To her enemies, Galdra appears to slice at nothing in front of her and the next moment are struck by a powerful force that, if they were not shielded from by armour would slice into them. The Steel tips on the Ekalon gloves aid in creating a stronger cutting motion.
Blood Morphing involves manipulating the core elements that reside in blood in order to control it. Enemies of Galdra who are cut by her Wind Blades will find their blood slowly drawn out of them and turned against them if they allow Galdra enough concentration, aligning the core elements takes time for even masters of the technique.
Opinion on the war:
The war brings both opportunity and dismay to Galdra. War gives her the opportunity to unite the people, to increase the numbers of the ekalon, and make some change to the Elven society she once lived in as a noble. Galdra also understands that war will bring about countless wasted lives and the possibility of the destruction of her homeland or others, her nature cannot bear this. Galdra and the Ekalon, in the calm before the storm, are now hard at work, aiming to unite the people, to promote equality and to bring down the tyrant.
History/Bio:
Geralda was born during a time of prosperity for the elven and dwarven people, and a time of enslavement for mankind. In her time Connous had started to become a hub for slaves, and the city she was born into, Oln Telon, was booming with trade and industry. The core of this trade machine that was Oln Telon was fuelled by mankind. Slaves, born to serve the 'greater' races, those with the gifts of prolonged life. Geralda was raised as an elven noble, her early life was peaceful, easy and at the height of aristocracy. Galdra's father, Belren Orarira, was deeply entrenched in the trade of Oln Telon and Celandine and very powerful indeed. After completing her studies Geralda developed opposing opinions to her fathers and the rest of the elven aristocracy. She joined a secret group that discussed the issues of the elven realm, and the rights they had to enslave mankind. However these meetings led nowhere to Geralda's disappointment who longed for change and revolution. Connous fell, to an uprising of human slaves, sending fear through the elven realm, particularly the Nobles. The Erandor concordat ended an age of blood shed and tension between the races. Celandine was once again breathing freely at peace. Belren was ruined, as was most of Oln Telon, its working class and foundations removed, it crumbled into ruin and the city became abandoned. Belren himself committed suicide and Galdra was left alone, having no siblings and her mother dieting in childbirth. Galdra did not give in however, she was more than delighted to see the dirty city that had been founded on slavery, a place she once had to accept as home, return to the dust it once was. Galdra was still displeased with the elven nobility however, believing that the removal of slavery had being a minor improvement to life in Celandine and that equality was still at large. Many others shared her opinions, and with them Galdra formed what would become the Ekalon.
The Ekalon grew over many years, its members increasing in number, not only elves but humans, joining their ranks. Their name became known throughout the Elven Realm, 'those that would make a change, the Ekalon'. The elven nobility and crown however began to feel threatened by the budding revolutionary group and during one of the Ekalon's demonstrations, descended upon them arresting as many of the members present as they could, stating that they were betraying the royal crown. This only fuelled the Ekalon into expanding, gaining support and presenting wilder demonstrations and protests.
Around 180 years before the death of the elven king, Aeleuaus, all affiliated with the Ekalon were condemned to banishment and exile. The demonstrations and speeches stopped, the Ekalon and Galdra went into hiding. Those that resisted were rounded up and executed. The survivors followed Galdra into the ruins of Oln Telon, and outside in its Dark woods did they return to the halls where they had first dreamed of revolution and breathed the word, Ekalon.
With the Death of the king, Aeleuaus and the current situation of Celandine the Ekalon have come out of hiding, moving into the elven towns, no longer afraid, the king they called 'tyrant' now dead, they don their uniformed garb and spread the sparks of revolution once more.
For a New Age is Dawning, the Tyrant is no more
