Introduction
We see the world,100 years later. A world in which the arms race was the only thing that mattered. Finding the fastest way to kill your fellow man slowly started to get more sophisticated, a mere gun was only enough. Bio-Weapons. A war in which the fabric of their very DNA was the tool. The Cogs and gears that now made up who we are could be turned to bullets and shields. With Cloning, Splicing and Further enhancements in modern medicine, mankind now had a power that seemed almost unreal. Though the decline would come at hand. Man-kinds bodies, (in later generations) could not take the alterations its past users could manage before, as well as fears of mental and physical breakdown in later years. They had to find new sources of destruction. So it came to be that the Wolves, man oldest friend, would now be used as their playthings.
Other species were tried and tested, but the result of the average North American Grey Wolf proved just what the organizations of this new world were looking for. Used as slaves, the wolves fought man's wars. Brush Conflicts and Proxy Wars erupted. The backs of the Dogs would feel their masters cruel whips. Fighting in the global arena that was Earth.
Times are changing, a cold and bitter peace has come across the nations, however the wolves are still imprisoned. Rebellion is the only option...
Now, in an open hostile land in the northwest mountains, the Wolves have escaped their captors. However, escaping was the easy part. Now freedom is the name of the game and everyone is playing for keeps. Will the wolves unite to face this daunting and well equipped foe, or will they slip back into the shackles they fought so long to break.
The Wolves, a lost and abused group of Hybrids, now head out to the open forest of the Tibberon Mountains. Freed, but not safe, the Wolves must journey to find stability. However, they are not to be mistaken for simple mortals, for within their bodies lie destructive and unique abilities, forced into their DNA. Woven into the fabric of flesh, tissue, and organs, by their dark and sinister oppressors, only known as the Gambit Project. Still hunted by the Gambit, the Wolves now hide, blended into the human network. However, Gambit will not rest until they find their former test subjects. Days and months of research will not be left to its own devices. It must be controlled, seized, and organized in Gambit's own vision.
Today, one of the Wolves, Blade, a hardened rebel, with his brother, Dagger, or as he choices to call himself, "Scout," head down the peaks running from the source of their pain and suffering. With anger and fury in Blade's eyes he wishes to take revenge on those who augmented his form and mind, to be used as a weapon. Blade seeks Gambit's destruction, no matter what end it might create.
-This is basic synopsis and character set up for The Pack.
The idea is simple the hybrid race of Wolves, now hides and fights for its life against a government backed, private military organization called Gambit. The project they were working on deals with DNA splicing and augmentation, turning these Wolves into tools of war. Each one with a unique prototype ability that has untested limits. The Wolves have now broken free from their cells, and now hide in a place called the Tibberon Mountains, a place still highly dangerous with Gambit soldiers, weapons and test subjects of different breeds. The Wolves, (Your Characters,) must find a way to defeat the Gambit, hide, or submit to their will. The openness is left to you. I will not force the story for your character to act anyway. Other than to affect his/her survival, the choices are yours.

Understanding the Wolf Race, or Lycans
-They are not Werewolves. However the Term Lycan is the best fit to call them.
-They are not Full Humans
-They change freely to suit their needs
-It is either full wolf or full human form (For now)
-They were once Wolves but through augmentation they now have a human appearance as well as a wolf one\
-The Change is not long or very painful however as a Wolf gets older it gets harder and harder
-Their power is based within themselves, however can extend through objects in which they have usual contact with. (As for now they can not be given or absorbed by anyone else.)
-Every Power has a limit as well as a down turn

Callum turned away. Gave them, as much as he'd hate to say aloud, the cold shoulder. He wouldn't barge into another wolf's matters; he wouldn't take a stand with his kind, nor would he fulfill the standards of their death wish. He would turn, rushing down the mountainside, till the scent of civilization smacked him in the face. And it would be glorious.
But he was running low on ammunition. Gambit had bullets—lots of them, in fact. In an instant, he faced the other direction, decided that his rush down the mountainside would have to wait.
Too old for this shite.
He acted with haste. A risk this would be, but two grunts were not so imposing. Separating him from the enemy were a few feet and a ravine, the peak of which he crouched upon as he unpacked the stolen Battle Carbine. They were so close, so unaware. A haphazard plan reeled in his mind, ideally climaxing with him as the victor. Their steps thudded against the warring ground; they smelt of a small, breathless panic, yet he was still and frozen as winter, steadying the rifle, a manic glint in his eye. Some inane part of him couldn't be more ecstatic to partake in this bloodlust. Uniforms came running in sight. Meters away, fewer still. Crossing his path. Calculated distance. Firing the last four single shots, two to each head, two to shatter helmet glass, flesh, bone, opposition.
No time to anticipate results. Weapon tossed aside, he went tumbling down the incline, as a blur of manmade speed, fur for skin, fangs and claws at the ready, teeth shown and aiming for the throat.

"And, another question, how are you going to help the other wolven? Those soldiers... they aren't push overs."

Shush's simple inner mantra was broken when Crystal stated to seemingly no one that she wanted to help them if they came into view. Who was she talking too? Her question was quickly answered as a man came forth. He smelled just like they did, he must be one of them! She could only smile slightly up at the new arrival from her hiding place now behind Freckles. The man spoke quietly which prompted her to speak up."You, you don't have to worry about them hearing you. They can't hear anything we say or do." Shush stated the last part of her sentence quite proudly because it would seem her powers were becoming of some use once more. He asked how they were going to help but it seemed obvious to Shush's young mind. They were going to help by simply going to them because they were stronger together right? She still waited for Crystal to finish speaking before she piped up once more. "Um, Crystal we need to hurry and follow-." Her sentence was cut short as she snapped her head towards a new sound, closer. Gunfire, screams and snarls from where the two soldiers had headed. "Do you hear that? I think another wolf is real close and he ran into those soldiers." Her wide eyes searched the tree line as she waited for Crystal to tell her what they needed to do now.

"We have a bit of stealth on our side. It's not like we came here expecting this to be easy....However, finding them isn't always the easy part, I'm afraid. Sometimes they smell like wolf just because they've been around them. And, if we don't want to get caught, we can't exactly heighten our own senses..." He chuckled a bit. He had never expected that finding them was one of the harder parts. He could tell his own flesh from hairless humans. Even if you lived among us for moons, Viktor would still be able to tell you apart. But not in human form. "And I thought I could take some time off, relax a little after running this far, but whatever." He took his back pack off, and continued speaking. "I might as well help you, since your the first that I have seen out here, and you guys can connect me to the rest of the pack that i know." He pulled out the only thing that he could steal: 2 cases of 12 pack Coke. He opened one up and chugged it, refueling himself.

One of the men dropped as he grabbed his neck. The bullet cut his major blood vein. The other just got a skim off his helmet, making the soldier duck out of instinct. He turned to the other man as he comrade clutched his neck. "FUCK!" He screamed, the solider raised his carbine and aimed in seeing the Lycan who attacked them running toward them. "Fucking Bastard!" He pulled the trigger and fired away, letting the gun go free at full auto.
------------------------------
Blade rushed to the door, of the truck swinging the door free by force. The Driver inside pulled for his pistol, but Blade stabbed his arm before he could let free the rounds. Pinning the hand to the console. Blade looked at the Driver's body frantically finding what he was hoping for. He saw on the Drivers body armor that he had a frag grenade. Drake pulled the pin, and then slammed the door, pulling his sword out before the metal door slammed shut. Blade lowered his head and pressed his body against the frame to hold the occupant in. With a quick blast and a shutter Blade quickly stepped away. The Truck started to light with fire.
"There, that might draw their attention. " Bullets started to fire at Blade as he turned. "Shit!" He jumped to the right and quickly turned to metal, covering his skin. He scoffed and smiled as one round pinged against his shoulder, another at his cheek. "Dumbasses."
Scout leaped at the Rock Fortress jumping up to the walls ledge, firmly grabbing with his claws. Bullets landed around him as he pulled himself up, scrambling his feet against the surface. He rolled over and landed inside, slamming against the floor next to Yora. "Owwww." He moaned rolling slowly to get up.

It didn't take long for a hole to appear at the top of the little fort and a male fell in with a thump. She knew he was lycan like herself so she did not growl. She repaired the hole so that the two of them were trapped in there. She began to shift out of her wolf form into her human one, completely naked and feral. "Who are you.. What do you want?" She held her ankle lightly to protect it. "Hurry... Let's escape..."
Below them, the dirt began to shift around and soon a hole was forming and she was digging a tunnel through the dirt. She hopped in, her naked form collecting dirt in her pores and clinging to her auburn hair though it was not visible in the absence of light. "Follow me.. Into the ground... To be safe... I can close it up once we're safe.. Please come with me..."

The weather of the season was mid winter. The flakes of snow had been heavily falling from the white and gray clouds floating above. The winds were blowing flurries in the face of anyone who dared to come outside and challenge them. Gambit was nearby of this area - One of the "true" facilities linked to the one who started all of this brutal mess. The girl in this timeline of herself looked to be of fourteen or fifteen years old with the same appearance. She was standing near a boy that looked to be about the same age as herself.
"Are you really sure about this? What if you get really injured...? Or even..."
She walked by him behind his back. The girl was in great fear of losing this friend of her's. He was the only friend she had at the time that could really be by each others sides in times of need. The boy turned himself around, and spoke back.
"You shouldn't worry so much, Shiki. Even if anything does happen to me... You'll still be alive and strong, right? Besides, if no one isn't going to do anything now to try and fix this mess -- even if it involves brutal violence -- nothing is ever going to change for us hybrids... You know? Someone has to do something, right?"
Shiki sighed and nodded her head to his answer. She knew there was nothing she could do to stop him of doing what we wanted to do. Which was attempting to enter one of the underground bases of Gambit and hacking out information from one of their computers to know the future plans.
"I know that... But still... I don't want to lose you. I'm sure your family and other friends don't want to either. Can't you see that?"
Her memory had paused at a stop when she came to a certain area in the forest she was in. She heard voices that were kinds of those who were fighting for their survival. A seemingly idea of a pack of wolves fighting against Gambit members. The girl took some steps behind a large tree with a hole in the middle to follow the sound closer. She surely knew she would most likely be noticed by the wolves due to their scent of smell, but she saw what was going on. And her thoughts were correct before she followed the sounds more. She was frightened, but also enraged at how Gambit never gave up on what they did to her and the others.

The sound of the scuffle became louder and louder, so much gunfire and the smell of blood was heavy. Reaching back, she grasped Crystal's hand nervously while continuing to lead them to the source. Certainly Crystal and the man could hear the sounds by now. Quickly Shush pulled Crystal to move behind a tree and motioned for the man to follow before peaking around it to watch the distant figure of a Gambit soldier firing at what threatened him. "There they are." She muttered quietly while petting Feckle's head to soothe the dog as she waited to see what they should do. Shush wasn't a fighter like Blade had been or like Crystal was capable of. She was made by Gambit to sneak, to hear conversations that weren't suppose to be heard, to keep entire units of people silent as they approached for the attack but she herself wasn't made to battle, besides, she was only a young girl.

He was feeling numb from all this running and he didn't know what he should do next so he just kept running. From the time he left to now its all been a crazy ride especially when he stole that grunt's SMG and it sat waving in the wind on his back only held loosely by a strap it bruised his back a bit but it wasn't anything he couldn't take. He tried his hardest not to stop but he couldn't keep running and he sat by a tree resting for a couple minutes.

She paused, then started to walk, looking behind her as her tracks had changed from pawprints to footprints. She smiled and brushed away a lock of her hair. Her eyebrows pulled forward, her mouth splitting her face in a grimace of freedom. She took a few tentative steps - it had been long since she had felt the outside world with the soles of her feet - and she ran. The snow hit daggers against her bare shins and feet, and she jumped for a tree. Her thinning t-shirt ripped, caught by a branch, and she spat out a curse. Climbing, always climbing. Her arms were sore with the dagger and lighter pressing into them, but she continued her ascent. Looking down, into the distance... Crouching into the tree. If they had one of her kind, that traitor better not sniff her out...

There had been whispers of a rebellion. Of freedom for more moons than she could count. And as the young wolf she was, she would poke her nose from the bars of her cadge and imagine the moon high, the smell of fresh air, of damp earth. Freedom. To run again. Like before she was left here. Abandoned by her pack. No--they couldn't have been her pack. They were like the others here. Humans. So, they had left her to die here, surely. For what crime, she never knew. For a long while, she mourned them. Crying each night like a pup for its mother in the quiet of the labs until one of the others would shush her, growl and threaten..until she gave up.
So, when talks of escape arose. Charm imagined the outside. What it had been like when she was small--before the place filled with the acrid stink of chemicals and the sounds of canine torment. She did not imagine what violence it might take. What blood it might spill. And when it happened...she was overwhelmed.
Blood. Noise. Stink of fear and death and tension. The cries of pain. Howls of victory. Thudding of boots and metal doors. And when her cadge door swung open..wide and without humans blocking it...she was urged to run. But she couldn't find the courage. Shivering and whimpering Charm pressed herself against the back of her cadge in confusion. Others like her scattered and ran. Others fought, killed, some died. Charm took on a high pitched wailing, terrified and unfamiliar to the insanity that was around it. Soon the noise slowed, the progress of her kin slowed and stopped...was she the last one? All alone here? Alone. Again.
Charm's dark tipped ears flickered forward nervously, swiveling as the sound of humans approaching drew nearer. She could hear them recognize her. They could see her. Was that a chuckle she heard? Laughing at her fear? It was this cruel laughter the finally seemed to snap her to her senses. Tail tucked between her legs, ears flat against her head, she skittered from her tiny cell and made for the nearest opening. There were shouts behind her, helping to hasten her tanned paws. She checked over her shoulder to see three of them, charging toward her, shouting and waving weapons. Charm turned back, increasing her speed, just in time to dodge a fourth human--just barely managing to wriggle past his outstretched hands. Yelping in her terror she plunged ahead toward the opening. Toward freedom.

The Carbine had gone out of his grip and into the air in the process, still momentarily locked in a bout of automatic fire. The soldier's hand reached out in a effort to strike; the other went blindly, but only found the vicelike hold of the wolf's jaws clamped round his wrist. He screamed as the pressure of the bite penetrated the armor. Callum knew that the next few seconds were dire for his struggle. Fatigue was dangerously close to settling in, yet his remaining strength allowed the transformation to take place--the paws that pinned the Gambit grew weaker, heavily veined and pale as the covered earth. His eyes were alit, and he dared not remove his teeth from that armor though the taste of copper formed on his tongue. Fetching the fallen gun beside them, he butted the rifle into the soldier's helmet once, twice, three times, jamming the material against his face. For an interval, the masked soldier had the light of emotion in his panicked gaze. Then he was no more.
In one swift motion, a practiced move, the helmet was gone; the rifle was pointed between the eyes, fired, and the battle had ended.
Breaths ragged, visible in the cold. Blood stained the snow, dotted his clothes and skin with red. The tension did not waver from his stance. He idled there, very much aware of the echo of the single shot, of the fact that he had survived. But the adrenalin was slipping away. Callum grimaced, doubling over, sucking in the cries of his pain--he felt the sting of his grazed abdomen, and he was suddenly ashamed that they had damaged him once more. This, as it turned out, was not worth it. And in that aftermath, he had never felt so old.
He couldn't stay here for long. Heaving himself to his feet, he clutched the wound and the newfound rifle, staggering over the dead soldiers to retrieve his belongings. Yet, impulse caused him again to stiffen. His red-rimmed glare took in his surroundings. Nothing--and no one--lay in sight, but his other senses told him otherwise. The weapon was pointed as he stalked ahead with hesitant steps, and he looked as disheveled and wolven as he did in his natural form.

"It sounds so quiet even though I just escaped a prison. I wish it was always like this."
He then heard gunshots and dropped the stickss turned to wolf form and ran away from the sound.
He hoped he wasn't caught but then he thought more wolves escaped so turned towards its direction and cautiously ran towards the sound hoping for signs of a wolf.

He was going to need help if he wanted to make it out of here, it was a simple as that but she couldn't seem to make herself move. When the man seemed to take some form of notice of them and began walking to their position with his gun raised it only further glued her to her spot in the snow. What if he hurt them because he was still panicked from the earlier fight? Maybe she could be of more help than simply hanging back to keep approaches silent. Peeking around the tree a bit more, she fully took in the sight of the man and knew her bright red hair was probably spotted before she ducked back and grasped Crystal's hand for comfort. No, she had to do this, after all she was the least intimidating of the group. Maybe, just maybe he wouldn't hurt a pup and would let the others approach. It was the only thing her young mind could think of before she shifted quickly and seamlessly, she was young and it was easy. Before Crystal could object she hobbled out into plain view on still gangly pup legs. Turning to take in the man, she dipped her head and tucked her tail as she approached. Bouncing from spot to spot in the snow to keep from sinking into its depths, she got closer to the man and continued to try and make herself look as least threatening as possible before uttering a whine towards him.

She bit her lip, but stuck her head out to watch Shush making her way over to him. Hopefully he wouldn't hurt a pup, especially one as harmless as Shush. She grabbed a hold of the scruff of Freckles neck, whispering, "No, you stay; sit!" She nodded with satisfactionas he listened, though he seemed to want to follow Shush. That made sense; the pair were very hard to separate. But she couldn't let Shush go out there on her own, either. She took a hesitant step out from behind the tree, calling, hopefully quietly enough that no other Gambit soldiers heard her, "Shush, what are you doing? It's not safe out there!" So much for trying to come up with a reasonable plan.

He instead began to search around for any Gambit soldiers, hoping that none were around in the area. However, they could anywhere, so Viktor then whispered loud enough so that they could both hear him. "That would probably be for the best, you know... Gambit could be anywhere!"

"Christ, what a fuckin' awful ploy," he muttered, dry. He then spoke more directly, his voice a hoarse, genuine, lowland rumble: "Come on oot, then, young'un. Ain't gonna hurt ya like I did the others. Not unless ye're an eejit, of course."
How convincing that must have been, coming from the bloodied, deranged psychopath. Great job.
Placing the carbine on the ground, he leaned against it for support and knelt as he awaited the cub's reaction. The ache from the wound seemed to urge him to take further action. If he had the strength to shift, he would pose submissively, lowering himself to her level, meaning no harm. For now, however, the rifle was pushed far away enough to remove the intimidating edge from his words, yet close enough to be used at a hint of danger. Then the voices sounded. His reached for the gun, hesitated, pulled back.
He said, looking at where the pup had revealed itself, "You too, strangers. Really appreciated how you helped me out back there."

Taking long strides and lifting her feet up high to push through the snow she came closer until finally she sat up on her hind legs and placed her front paws on the man's shoulders. Giving him a few licks to the cheek in hopes of comforting his hurt she then sat back on her haunches and cocked her head at him. Only when Crystal actually revealed herself did she take her eyes away from him to look back at her and Freckles. Shush barked once toward Crystal, happy that she had said they would help the man, before quickly shifting back to her human form. Smiling brightly at their new friend, she grabbed his hand and gave it a squeeze. "We'll get you all better so don't worry. I'm Shush and that's Crystal and my dog Freckles. Um, I don't know the other guy, we found him just like we found you. So what's your name?" She questioned him as she stood up and stayed at his side, disregarding her small size she figured she should be nearby in case he needed help up.
