Introduction
We see the world,100 years later. A world in which the arms race was the only thing that mattered. Finding the fastest way to kill your fellow man slowly started to get more sophisticated, a mere gun was only enough. Bio-Weapons. A war in which the fabric of their very DNA was the tool. The Cogs and gears that now made up who we are could be turned to bullets and shields. With Cloning, Splicing and Further enhancements in modern medicine, mankind now had a power that seemed almost unreal. Though the decline would come at hand. Man-kinds bodies, (in later generations) could not take the alterations its past users could manage before, as well as fears of mental and physical breakdown in later years. They had to find new sources of destruction. So it came to be that the Wolves, man oldest friend, would now be used as their playthings.
Other species were tried and tested, but the result of the average North American Grey Wolf proved just what the organizations of this new world were looking for. Used as slaves, the wolves fought man's wars. Brush Conflicts and Proxy Wars erupted. The backs of the Dogs would feel their masters cruel whips. Fighting in the global arena that was Earth.
Times are changing, a cold and bitter peace has come across the nations, however the wolves are still imprisoned. Rebellion is the only option...
Now, in an open hostile land in the northwest mountains, the Wolves have escaped their captors. However, escaping was the easy part. Now freedom is the name of the game and everyone is playing for keeps. Will the wolves unite to face this daunting and well equipped foe, or will they slip back into the shackles they fought so long to break.
The Wolves, a lost and abused group of Hybrids, now head out to the open forest of the Tibberon Mountains. Freed, but not safe, the Wolves must journey to find stability. However, they are not to be mistaken for simple mortals, for within their bodies lie destructive and unique abilities, forced into their DNA. Woven into the fabric of flesh, tissue, and organs, by their dark and sinister oppressors, only known as the Gambit Project. Still hunted by the Gambit, the Wolves now hide, blended into the human network. However, Gambit will not rest until they find their former test subjects. Days and months of research will not be left to its own devices. It must be controlled, seized, and organized in Gambit's own vision.
Today, one of the Wolves, Blade, a hardened rebel, with his brother, Dagger, or as he choices to call himself, "Scout," head down the peaks running from the source of their pain and suffering. With anger and fury in Blade's eyes he wishes to take revenge on those who augmented his form and mind, to be used as a weapon. Blade seeks Gambit's destruction, no matter what end it might create.
-This is basic synopsis and character set up for The Pack.
The idea is simple the hybrid race of Wolves, now hides and fights for its life against a government backed, private military organization called Gambit. The project they were working on deals with DNA splicing and augmentation, turning these Wolves into tools of war. Each one with a unique prototype ability that has untested limits. The Wolves have now broken free from their cells, and now hide in a place called the Tibberon Mountains, a place still highly dangerous with Gambit soldiers, weapons and test subjects of different breeds. The Wolves, (Your Characters,) must find a way to defeat the Gambit, hide, or submit to their will. The openness is left to you. I will not force the story for your character to act anyway. Other than to affect his/her survival, the choices are yours.

Understanding the Wolf Race, or Lycans
-They are not Werewolves. However the Term Lycan is the best fit to call them.
-They are not Full Humans
-They change freely to suit their needs
-It is either full wolf or full human form (For now)
-They were once Wolves but through augmentation they now have a human appearance as well as a wolf one\
-The Change is not long or very painful however as a Wolf gets older it gets harder and harder
-Their power is based within themselves, however can extend through objects in which they have usual contact with. (As for now they can not be given or absorbed by anyone else.)
-Every Power has a limit as well as a down turn

'We left there.' He thought. 'We left that place and had no idea where we needed to go, no maps, no plans. I've just been following Blade for hours now.... Where is he going, besides further away from Gambit....' Scout turned to look down at Blade who had created a berth between them in his steps further down the mountain side. Scout caught up, high stepping his feet as he went downward on the slope. Unlike the way up, the side was smooth leading to a lower platue. Scout could see trees beyond. A Deep and tight valley on the other side. He wasn't sure, but it could have been a canyon. The Rock was the same onyx and dark grey color as the other side of the ridge. The land was setting to the near winter, fall was all but passing.
Scout reached up to his "brother" walking by his side as they both watched their steps, so as not to slip and slide all the way down. Blade clutched his sword in his right hand holding by the enclosed scabbard that held the blade inside. He just made it a few weeks ago, the metal forged straight from the very hands that made it, all of it. The steel was from Blade's blood, the cloth that covered the grip, he used was from a jacket he found from a fellow rioter. Blade regards as the rioters name as 'Jinst' or 'Jaunt' He didn't remember the name clearly.
The battle that happened before was very brief, yet Blade tends to think of it as days that passed. He, Scout and few others from the woods beyond planned to free their brothers from a place that once held them. They stormed the facility and blew parts of it to hell. All Blade and his allies could promise was a mad dash to freedom, that's all they could guarantee . That's all, no plans, no maps...... Just like the way they escaped. Scout and Blade ran off to the mountains, god knows they couldn't keep fighting the soldiers and "Augs" that would now fill the land like angry ants afters someone stepped on their nest. Blade couldn't even get in contact with his allies, all he could do was grab his younger sibling and head to the West.
"Blade... Why did we go this way?" Scout asked breaking Blade's line of thought. He stopped, then smirked.
"You tell me... I just ran that way." pointing his finger to the west again.
"But why this way, why not met back with others."
"Well find them again... Weve got the "Wind Messenger."" Howling as humans called it. Howling could convey and show far more than regular human speech, and could cover ground for miles. So long as their was an ear to the sky the wind would carry the word. Humans could never break the whining, bellowing gibberish that their kind used. But was all to natural, the Messages were like songs that everyone knew from birth and could sing. "We just have to be quiet until we know its safe... I'm not gonna call them yet." He answered gruffly. "I don't want to risk it."
Blade took a step over a larger rock and turned to Scout putting his sword upon his shoulder. "You gave me a scare back there..."
"Where at Gambit?" Scout replied looking a bit lost.
"Ya, You went all Physco, ragging like a madwolf." Scout looked down at the snow, his top teeth rubbing against his bottom lip.
"I... I don't remember." He looked back up at Blade. "The Battle, I just remember it going red... and then, I woke up you carrying me..." Scouts words seemed lost, air between his thoughts. Blade stopped and looked to find honesty in his brothers face. He looked down and left at the rock he just passed scanning his memory, then sighing.
"Ahh well.. Its fine, Just forget what I said.." Blade turned and walked on. Scout waited, thinking back, wondering what he did wrong. He looked back up at Blade seeing the back of his head. Then shifting his eyes back down again. She shook it off as a snowflake touched his cheek. Fluttering his eyes for a bit. Then following on.
They walked for a few minutes on until reaching the treeline. Pushing past the brush they stopped at the large oak with a knot in it. Blade turned and leaned on the bark sighing. "Well take five." He reached in his pocket and dug for a small box cigerretes. Slipping one on his lips. Scout squinted his eyes and glared at him.
"I don't even know why you do that..." The Young Lycan said with disgust. "You don't even light them..." Blade smiled looking at his brother.
"I know. I got the habit from the old man... He like the reds..." He rolled the white stick to from one side of his lips to the other.
"Ya but at least he smoked." The Younger retorted. "Your just acting like a 12 year old, just wanting one to have one." Blade chuckled , knowing Scout would be the only one hed let get away with talking trash about him. Blade got up and walked over to Scout staring him down. Scout stood about a few inches shorter and still hand some growing to do. Blade quickly put his had on top of his blonde head. Scout naturally flinched, as Blade ruffled his hair a bit.
Then pushed his brother down to the ground slamming him to the icy dead leaves on the ground. A small "Ofph!" escaped the Younger one's lips. Blade then turned and sat upon his brothers back, reclining.
"Blade get off." Scout moaned.
"..Remember when we were younger. When you were really little. I'd be in my bed, and youd just crawl on... You didn't even ask... You'd just jump in, and on my back.... Then you know what you did?" He asked eyeing down at Scout who moaned feeling Blade's weight.
"Ya...." Blade started to rise and set, bouncing on his brothers back.
"Youd jump on my back over and over and over." Scout kept making painful moans.
"Ah ah ah ah ah." Blade forcing a little bit of air out. Blade chuckled and got up.
"Come on..." He said. "We should keep moving." Scout smirked and got up slowly whipping off the dirt and water that got on his jacket. He looked to Blade and they both gave a small smile to one another before walking deeper into the woods.

Yora could hear the chain that still was attached to her hind ankle rack against the ground, banging along. It was a small reminder of her time in the jail, in the torture chamber she had to call home for so long. She could not remember why or how she got there, anything before breaking free from the cell. She knew she had been there for some time but that was all. She felt somewhat empty, lost without this part of memory. Yora tried to fill this void with the feeling of freedom she now felt but it could not entirely fill it. Her past was what made her who she was therefore, she felt she did not know herself. She was just Yora.
She squealed suddenly, the chain on her ankle getting caught on a log. It yanked her back and she fell to the ground, her body slumping on the ground. She turned back, a growl building in her throat. She began chewing on the chain, on the log, but to no avail. Suddenly, her body began to change. Fur fell from her body and fingers erupted from her paws. Fiery red hair topped her head and in a matter of seconds, a naked female stood chained to a log. Her fingers pulled at the chain, fingernails digging into the wood to the point where they became bloody. She shifted back into a wolf, whimpering and struggling with the chain. They would surely find her now if she couldn't escape. A choked howl escaped her as she pulled and yanked, whimpering and whining.

Yora could not even remember the people she was running from, their names, their reasons. A sharp sound echoed through her mind, something that was deep inside her. She shook it off and allowed herself to calm down. She realized that the yap from before held a note of sympathy in it as if supportive and aiming for help. Yora changed her expression and then decided it was time to show her other form.
The fur was sucked into her pores, muzzle disappearing, ears becoming rounded and moving to the side of her face. Paws turned to hands and feet and the tail recoiled until she was in her complete human form, naked and without clothes. Her hands were pulling at the anklet chain and she looked at the female. "Please... Help. Before they catch us..." She begged.

She tugged the chain a few times but the wood refused to give. She growled at it, looking more like a sneer in this form. She had managed to outrun the men that had been chasing her, but she wasn't sure by how much. It was possible that if she had heard the howl then others had too. She gave the chain a final good tug but it was determined to stay where it was.
The woman snatched up a rock and slammed it into the wood once. The wood cracked. The second time it began to splinter. "Pull when I bash it again." And she tried one more time to set the other wolf free.

"Blade we should help her." He asked, getting closer to Blade clutching his jacket. "She could be hurt." Blade shrugged him off growling a little in annoyance.
"She's making herself a target." He turned pointing the in the direction of the howling. "If anything we need to go away from it."
"Why?"
"Dumb-ass, this area is crawling with Gambit's grunts. They may not understand The Wind Messenger. But They know when were calling for distress."
"It doesn't matter we should help."
"We've helped them enough.... We freed them." The two were heating up, growling at one another.
"Yes but that doesn't mean we turn and abandon them." Blade scoffed. "Blade you never run from a fight, I know you can handle it, and I can heal her." Blade sighed and nodded.
"Right is right no matter how many ways you slice it." Blade lowered his Scabbard sword, the tip touching the ground. "Alright here's what well do..."

As Rodika came upon the other two females, The revving of engines was heard in the distance.
-ZZZzz... Were Closing in on their location. ZZZZ- The radio buzzed from inside the armored MRA. It was a large black tank of a vehicle, with six wheels and painted all black. The plates on the ride were thick, making the truck very heavy. A 240 Machine Gun sat at the top on a swivel turret, controlled via robotic automation. The Windows Bulletproof and tented the vehicle barreled over smaller trees and brush. Crashing and crunching as it traveled through the valley. A small convey of Humvees followed in its path, six in all. It was a massive hunting party. Scanning the valley region. Already capturing plenty in the last large Truck, In the back were Steel Bars holding a handful of their prisoners in the bed; weakened and defeated.
-ZZZZZZZ....Split up, create a circle around the area, then close in.....ZZZZ ZZZZ...... Call in if you've found anything.ZZZZ-
The Humvees broke off, one going left, then right, then left and so on. Making large wide turns to circle the area.
The Three Wolves could hear the sound spreading, The hauling of gears and engines humming.
Before the small ground could react two Humvees pulled out from the brush before them. One two the left and the other on the right. A Human on a speaker phone called out to them inside the truck. While 6 soldiers stepped out their sub-machineguns and rifles draw upon them, but not willing to fire just yet.
"Attention Fugitives. Surrender now! If you make in sudden movements we are authorized to shoot and kill. " The man said on the speaker phone. "Raise your hands up, or lay down on the ground. This is for your safety."
-Gambit Greenhorn Grunt> ( http://xersist.deviantart.com/favourite ... 4#/d2x6xel )
Gambits' troops are well trained mercs, that have signed up to kill and get paid doing it. The Average Greenhorn is overall well trained, but has little experience in fighting Augments. That being said, A Gambit Grunt is deadly close up, using Advance Martial Arts. Known to shoot first and ask questions later the Gambit grunt is a deadly warrior, harden and blood-thirsty. The last thing you want to do is get up Close and tangle with these Soldiers.-
-Gambit SMG- ( http://xersist.deviantart.com/favourite ... 0#/d2plvtx)
This Submachine gun shoots a small 9mm round at a very rapid rate. Good up close, and clearing rooms. However M290 is not meant to be fired at a distance. The gun looses all accuracy at an estimated 200 meters, Even with Single Shot selected. Carries a 45 round magazine standard.
-Gambit Grunt Battle Carbine- ( http://xersist.deviantart.com/favourite ... 0#/d35bfej )
This Battle Carbine is meant for Mid-to Close range combat. Able to shoot Automatic, Burst and Single Shot. This weapons system is the all around basic rifle for the average Gambit Solider. Very Compact and with a light kick, this carbine can shoot accurately to up to 600 meters, As well as clearing rooms and tight places. Though known to loss accuracy if left on automatic or burst fire. The Round is a smaller 223 round making it suffer in stopping power compared to its 5.56 and 7.62 competitors. It carries a 25-30 Round Magazine standard.

She quickly turned her attention to Shush and Freckles. "You two need to stay nearby. Don't go running off without letting someone know, okay?" she told her, warning her. She didn't need the girl to get herself lost, even if she had Freckles with her. While they were both energetic, and she was confident that they would be able to run if trouble came to them, she still worried. But, there was also the fact that another group had broken away from Gambit. They were likely to be scared, since they had just escaped, unless they caught their scent and recognized them as one of their own kind. Perhaps this would be a chance to help out more of their kind...or to find the ones they had stayed with for a little while before they separated. Maybe they'd be able to help. But, in the meantime...she walked over to the lake, hesitantly taking off her glove. She debated a moment before putting her hand in the water, and pulled it out a second later. She hadn't managed to freeze it, but had managed to make it a little cooler. Maybe a little more work. She shook her hand dry and stood up, carefully tugging the glove on. She could do that later; for now, she had to watch Shush and Freckles.

She ran as fast as she could through the trees, her footsteps brought about no noise even as they crunched leaves and foliage underneath. Crystal said they were suppose to work on their powers and what better way for her than a game of hide and seek?! A tree caught her eye and she began to climb it, the limbs never giving a creak, the leaves never uttering a rustle as she moved about before settling on a branch near the trunk. Giggling to herself, she hugged the trunk as she heard Freckles bark happily as he took off into the woods to search for her. "He'll never find me." She whispered to herself and it would have been true had she not moved about the leaves once more and they had fallen and alerted the dog. Barking up at her, he jumped up and down as if trying to reach her. "Aw! You found me. Well good doggy!" Scampering down quickly, she pat the dog on the head and looked up as she let her powers take over. She listened to the forest, trying to catch the tiniest of sounds all the while following each little chirp and rustle.

She paused as she heard Freckles barking up at a tree. She kept herself at a distance, but still kept an eye on the dog. She looked up to see Shush hiding in the tree, her expression worried as she hurried down the tree. but she made it down without any problems, and soon she was petting Freckles on the head. Crystal shook her head; sometimes she just seemed to have too much energy. "the point of you telling me when you're running off, Shush, was so that someone can keep an eye on you. You can't be off on your own out here, even if Freckles is with you."

Crystal's voice broke through her concetration and memory, causing her to jump and whip around with wide eyes. "Huh? Oh, sorry Crystal. I'll be more careful." Turning her head back towards the noises she narrowed her eyes then began backing up until her back was against Crystal. "Um, can we go back to the campsite now? I'm done playing." A nervous glance back toward the all too familiar sounds and then she tugged on Crystal's hand as she attempted to pull her towards the relative safety of their campsite.

She tried to be casual about asking her about it. "So...what did you hear, Shush?" she asked. She knew that more wolves had escaped, and Gambit couldn't possibly let more than one group get away; not without trying harder than before. This was a big risk, being out here to try to help them...but they would need help. She knew it would have been nice if someone had helped her and the rest of them when they had escaped, so why not help the others that escaped? Sure, they didn't exactly have all the room in the world, but she would manage to find food for as many as she could, and she could cook, or at least try to cook, for as many people as she needed to feed. That would be easy out here; she could find and hunt for the food necessary. But that was far from the point; the fact was, she might have heard any other escaping from Gambit.
That was something they sort of needed to hear...but, at the same time, that might mean running into Gambit. That would mean finding a hiding place, and using Shush's ability to keep Gambit from hearing them. "I think you need to stay nearby, just in case. Keep Freckles quiet, too. We don't want to attract too much attention to ourselves out here."

Near Crystal's Camp site, the sound of footsteps came near. Two soldiers walked out from the brush, seeing Crystal, Shush an freckles. They didn't make an aggressive motion, only walking up guns down. "Ma'am what are you doing here on Gambit Property." They came up closer but did not appear to be aggressive just yet.

Before the male dashed away, a truck pulled up, grunts running out and throwing a net at the male. It froze and was tossed aside, but bullets began firing in all directions. Yora felt a frenzy as she became human again though cowering on all fours, squatting away from the men. Her body was growing weaker. One of the soldiers began advancing on her and Yora snarled, her canines becoming elongated as they began to transform into wolf form. However, vines erupted from the trees grabbing hold of the grunt soldier and suddenly flinging him across the ground. He skidded down the hill, hitting every rock on the way down landing limp on the ground, unmoving.
Yora stared in wonder as her power began to take form. Eye's glinted red and she suddenly growled at the rest of them as shards of rock erupted from the ground toward the soldiers, hitting a few until rocks formed a solid fortress around her. Yora could hear them begin chipping at the rock and she shifted into wolf form to begin licking her wounds.

Shush formed a death grip on Crystal's pant legs and was ready to bolt, make them disappear, whatever she could do! A soothing voice whispered for her to stay calm though and Shush looked up with wide eyes and merely nodded silently. Crystal knew what she was doing. Keeping that fact in mind soothed her in the slightest as she reached to pet Freckle's head to calm him but still kept a tight grip with her other hand on Crystal's clothes.

They were behind him, yelling weird things and waving their black shooters at him. For some reason he could run forever, and never seem to tire, as the humans slowly began to fade into the dense forest. He took his time to slow down, hoping that the hairless humans couldn't catch him. Once he stopped, he grabbed something out of the pack he was carrying on his back: a can of sugar drink they called Coke. He had an obsession with it, and he never knew why. And he barely seemed to be breathing. He remembered panting for air when he ran like that, but he wasn't now: And it was because of the humans he didn't have to. He didn't understand fully how, or why, but all he knew was that in real nature, wolves did not become humans.
So he morphed back into his normal state, the silver wolf with a black tipped tail. He wanted to send a Wind Message to whoever else had escaped, as he knew there were more, but also knew against the idea. Instead, he padded around the think forest, listening for footsteps and breathing. He then noticed a camp where a couple of humans were being talked to by some Gambit soldiers. He cursed in his head, but still remained calm. They were expecting him in this form probably, so he needed to morph back without them seeing. And hope that those 'campers' were actually wolven as well.

The noise of the security systems were going off as a problem had emerged. But gunshots were surely taking small care of those unwanted sounds. A young woman that looked to be about either sixteen to eighteen years old stood still in place of an abandoned hallway of the current moment. Her hand was raised high with a weapon of a shotgun of the types that just destroyed one of the security systems. She couldn't dilly-dally for long though, she had to keep going. They were bound to show up any minute. The primary and decent soldiers this one base Gambit had in the stock: The Gambit Greenhorn Grunts.
The girl lowered herself of the gun she held, and ran straightforward. She wasn't going to look back on what would show up, but just keep going until she would find an exit. But what if it was to be a dead end? She also thought in return to that idea. There would be one simple solution - She would have to explode a way open from the detonator she picked up in the lab room she had found along with the shotgun she was carrying. But the soldiers had shown up sooner than she was sensing to expect. The dead end she eventually she ran to was the point where the electronic door was slid open and they marched forward with equipment. They stood at their positions in front of her; being prepared to strike whenever ordered to.
The other side of the girl's surroundings wasn't left cold turkey though. There were more troops of Gambit's elite officers coming into play of this mess. The girl knew what she was able to do... She just had to distract them in some way, but how? She stood there as if she was frozen scared of what would happen to her now.
"Surrender quietly. You will not be harmed if you choose to go back to your place. Please do not think otherwise. We need you as an important part of our society for the future."
The head colonel of this place wasn't going to let this chance be taken from him from the day they first captured this wolf-hybrid. But what was to say if he would really win? The girl had kicked up her shotgun with one of her legs, and ran by the sides of the walls. The effect of her kneecap had started random shots from the weapon itself, and the soldiers were now firing. But the detonator she had was now activated with the press of one finger. Her powers were taking form of protecting her from this horrifying disaster of lives being lost. But the girl did what she to do for survival.
The once dead-end was now formed into an open escape hole. As she ran through it, and morphed into her wolf form for faster speed in her running. It was awhile since she had been in the forest. The last she was in such a beautiful part of nature was during the time she was with her one and only best friend. However... He had fell lost to going against Gambit of what they wanted. The girl would keep going strong, just for him. She wouldn't stop running as long as she didn't have to stop.

With the other female freed and the male now beside them it was possible to take out the ones on foot. The ones in vehicles would pose more of a problem however... It did not stop her from wanting their blood. With a feral snarl she rocked her arm back and let the rock fly, aiming for the idiot that dare stand in front of her with his gun trained on her middle. She wasted no time. In an instant she was going after another's throat, her human hands balled into fists of untamed fury. She aimed for the dirty humans throat, she'd break his windpipe if she connected, then she'd go for another... And another... And another...
Till this soil was soaked with their blood the gray wolf would not rest till they were dead or she was killed.

The First solider she attempted to ping with a rock fell back with the hit, lucky his helmet took on most of the blow. Quickly rising and picking up back his gun as the Wolf passed him. The glass fractured across his full case helmet the soldiers eyesight was blurred.
The Grunt that Rylee had pinned to the deck, coffed as she cried to break his neck with her hand. The Solider quick rose both his hands close up bringing around the Wolf's hand and twisting with his fore arms, attempting to quickly break her arm. The Motion was quick and violent. Two arms were far more powerful than one, and if she was going to hold on, she might lose her ability to use her hand for the rest of the fight.
The other solider she passed up rushed from behind to help bringing his right arm around her neck, giving Rylee a blood choke. While pulling a knife out from his flank about to stab her side. A Boot was right at her back for pressure.
Rylee had now pinned herself. She came in too close to the Grunts, because of their near expert skill at martial arts getting close was the worse idea yet.
The other soldiers rushed around the barrier, staying at-least ten feet away. Many fired breaking down the newly made walls.
"FRAG OUT!" one of the men cried hurling a small ball toward the wall. The other men found small cover as the ball exploded. The part of the wall crumbling to the effect.
The men again began to fire trying to find any way to hit the occupants inside.
Just as Rylee felt the pressure of the solider bringing his arm around her neck. Her eyes going black. She could hear a quick, thud. The man's gripped weakened and fell back, dropping his grip. She then heard from behind herself a voice that offered help.
"Can I help you with that?" Another hand reached over her shoulder, it was glowing blue and held flat. It was a quick-jab to the side of the neck. The other man grew numb, and passed out.
Scout smirked as he leaned over to look at Rylee. "Are you alright?"
"Scout! Stop talking and do something!" Voice growled from the far right. Blade leaped in a kicked a grunt in the head. The grunt fell over landing on the dirt trying to get up. Blade scoffed. "Stay down." rising his heel up he slammed the soldiers neck, knocking him out. Blade looked back up at where Rylee and Blade were at. "Scout is she the one injured?"
"No." A bullet wizzed by their heads. "Shit, Shes fine I don't smell any blood. "
"Then the other one must be inside that thing." Pointing to the crumbling fortress. "Your got it?" Scout nodded and gave a thumbs up.
"Ya." The looked back at Rylee. "Good Luck." He turned and did a quick bounding leap toward the rock fortress, jumping randomly as not to land in anyone's line of fire for long.
Blade started to run toward the nearest truck, that was about 30 feet infront of Rylee.

The Soldier nodded and waved them off. "Thats fine ma'am, the safest place away is over across the river if you can pass it. But I'd highly suggest you not stay her..." The Grunt's radio went off

"I can smell you, you know," she called out, hoping it wasn't loud enough for those Gambit soldiers to hear. "We want to help, but you're going to have to come out. And maybe, while we're at it, we can help the others out." It had been a while since she and Shush had escaped; they had spent too much time relaxing, and now they needed to help. She looked to Freckles, then to Shush. "He listens to you best; make sure he stays nearby, and quiet. We can't get ourselves caught." She glanced around, then to where the Gambit soldiers had gone off to. They would help, and actually be useful now.
