Codename: Ethereal
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Female
Nationality: Irish
Orientation: Pansexual
Appearance:
A young and slender girl that stands at a small 4'11" (149 cm.), and only weighing a miserable 110 pounds (50 kg.). Danni inherits most of her facial features from her mother, the lazy (Although still mischievous-looking.) red-brown eyes, smooth chocolate-brown hair that reaches to her small chest, and a well-rounded face to match. Her skin is a healthy and smooth pale, though minor markings do decorate the colourless blanket in many spots. Childhood accidents, mostly. Although a recent V-shaped burn-mark has formed on her left hand. A parting gift from her parents, sadly.
Demeanour:
An up-beat, hyperactive, and strange girl. Danni always seems to hold herself in the optimistic department of life, finding joy in the littlest of things that happen around her. Although she finds the whole 'mutant' thing a bit out of place, the girl uses her ability at any given moment, and grins all the way through. Danni is quick to trust the other students, and finds that she can get along quite well with them, although if they get along with her is a different story. Danni wouldn't hesitate to take the piss out of the others by stealing something of their possessions and just tease them by going 'Catch me if you can!', while in her Ethereal form. (I can see how that could bite her in the arse when said student turns out to be a pyromancer or something...)
With adults, actual adults, (Not those 'Young Adults' that are still students.) Danni has a more... Hostile relationship with. Partially because of her age, but mainly because of how her parents treated her when they found out their little girl was a mutant. Although not physically abusing the elderly with sharp sticks, Danni does have a sense of Anarchy towards them, ignoring their advices and lectures that are meant to teach her something. A real teenager, so to speak, eh? But I suppose it would all come down to an eventual trust... Maybe.
Quirks:
Danni has a weird habit, although not too weird in a mansion filled with mutants, of using her ability for anything. Passing through physical obstacles that are in her walking path.
Mutant powers:
Danni appears to have developed the ability to partially roam the spiritual realm. Not physically though. When using her gift, Danni still very much walks the mortal realm as sure as any other human or mutant, but her body has turned a fading and transparent green. Almost as if she has become a spiritual being herself. Now this does not give any extensive abilities such as mind-reading, flying/hovering, or any other spiritual nonsense. It only allows Danni to pass through physical objects and vice versa. Her ethereal form also takes away all her sense besides sight and touch (Explained in Weakness.). Whatever item was in the girl's grasp also transports with her, same with other mutant/humans. Although the latter has not been tested to its full extent, as Danni is far too unfamiliar with her ability as of now...
Weakness:
While the Ethereal power allows for any physical object to pass through. Non physical, or non-solid objects for that matter, have become impenetrable for Danni. Water, fire, toxic gasses, even mental projections are something that could still touch the girl in her ethereal form, and therefore injure her.
Extra Abilities/Hobbies:
The girl has a knack for music, playing the bass herself, and listening to rock, techno, and metal non-stop on her headphones.
Equipment:
Danni hadn't packed much, just the things she deemed necessary:
- BC Rich Widow (Bass 5-String)
- Amp (60 Watts)
- Laptop
Personal History:
Danni was born in Belfast, North-Ireland raised by a mother and father who weren't the best match for a child who would become a mutant. The O'byrne family were active anti-mutants, and didn't like the thought of their two children catching what they called the 'disease'. They were that paranoid they even home-schooled them. Karma had bitten them in the arse though, and their son, Danny O'byrne (Yeah... Their parents weren't original on the whole 'naming' department.) was the first to display unnatural powers. It made them wary about what may happen to their daughter, and had her tested on many fronts. Call it torture, minor torture mind you, by inflicting little injuries and expose her body to gruesome tests. A not so rainbow-lovely-dovy childhood for Danni.
On Danni's sixteenth birthday, her powers emerged when they went for another day of testing, finding that they couldn't physically touch the girl. One thing led to another, and the teenager soon left her home. Or more exact, rescued from the home that was akin to a prison by the X-men. Danni has only been at the institute for a few days, and although she knows no-one would ever harm her, she still hasn't grown fond of anyone nor tried to acquaint with them.
Side Story:
Danni wishes to find her brother, wherever he may be.
