Personality:
Ella is very friendly and open, towards even the most bitter of strangers. She in generally very out going and fun loving. She's somewhat naive, in the sense that she'll give anyone a chance. And keep giving chances. She is very loyal- once you've earned her trust, you'll never lose it. No matter how much they hurt her. This can be a wonderful trait, but a dangerous one as well.
Ellie is also very compassionate. Is she sees someone in need, she can't just turn away to save herself. She neds to help. She is someone who will always offer a helping helping hand. She has endless patience, which makes her excellent with children. She really doesn't have much of a temper, and has a bit of a habit of letting people walk all over her. Her gentle nature does had some downsides. After all, nobody is perfect. She can be a bit of a pushover.
Ella is very passionate about animal rights, though. She finds it repulsive that someone could harm an innocent creature. She has always wanted to be a vet, and it's one of the few things that really gets her heated. Want to really get her worked up? Say something insensitive about animals.
But Ella also has a daring side. She loves to have fun. She loves to listen to music, and dance, but also knows to stay out of any real trouble. She loves to tease her friends and play around with them, and she has a good sense of humor. Ell is certainly different than her stick-in-the-mud mother. She can't stand to be in the dull, boring tea parties and such that her mother holds. Her mother is always trying to make her perfect, and she can't stand it. She's not perfect- she craves something more. Something... spectacular.
While Ellie is very tender in general, she is particularly loving towards her fiancé, Jax. She absolutely loves him. She loves to tease him, but it's all in good nature. She would never hurt him. She can deal with a lot of the things that her mother does to her- but the one thing she will never stand for is her putting down the man she loves.
History:
Ella's parents were both from very wealthy British families. Her father was very laid back and affectionate, while her mother was much more reserved. She was always very concerned with appearances. Everything had to be perfect. Just perfect. When Ell would get annoyed and dig in her heels, her father would just laugh and say, "Humor your mother." Her father kept the house even- he brought joy the the home. He made it a house full of love, and kept Ella and her mother from clashing.
Ell was nine when it happened. Her father was taking her to see his family in their country home. He turned to smile at her, having just told one of his corny jokes, when the car crashed into them. The seatbelt bit into her harshly, and glass cut her. But it was the bloody mess that was her father that really made it horrible. She cried out for her father, until the ambulance came. His death was very hard on her, and to this day she occasionally relives the entire traumatic experience in her dreams, waking up in tears or absolute terror. She was very, very close to her father.
Her home became very cold. Ell and her mother mourned separately, so they began to clash so much more. They would fight about little, petty things and hold grudges for months. Her mother tried to force her to be absolutely perfect, and became so bitter. All Ella really wanted was her mother's affection. She began to hate the perfect facade her mother had made. She wanted to get out- see the wold. But she couldn't just leave her mother. She tried so hard to keep her happy, wearing all of the pretty dresses, getting perfect grades, acting just like her mother. But that wasn't Ellie. They both knew it, and the girl slowly became more and more bitter. She just couldn't understand her mother, but needed her there in her life. She needed that connection to someone- a little affection.
When Ella went off to vet school in America, she finally had the freedom she so yearned for. Of course, she kept her grades perfect and attended her mother's tea parties every now and then. When she met Jax, she wanted to keep their relationship a secret because of her mother. She knew that the judge mental woman would take one look at him and tear him apart. But the further she fell for him, the more that she knew that this was going to last. She was going to find out eventually. Two years later, she introduced her mother to Jax. Just as she suspected, she forbid her daughter to date him. When Ella refused to comply, explaining that she loved him, her mother did the worst thing that she could do. She disowned her own daughter. Now, having to face Jax's family, she's rightfully unsure.
But being engaged to the one person who she loves more than anyone else, brings her so much joy. their relationship is a strong one, full of love and joy. His family is going to be her family, so she's excited yet still wary. She just wants everyone to be happy.[/quote]
