Emily's smile grew slightly when Rudi kissed the top of her head. This was her first time hanging out with a guy like this, but Rudi seemed nice enough, his line of questioning made her a little uneasy sometimes, but other than that, he seemed like a good guy. She's not really sure why everyone she'd talked to tried to warn her away from him, she liked hanging out with him. It was definitely better than sitting at home with her uncle, or worse, her cousin. After a while, she glanced up at Rudi, "Do you live alone?" She asked curiously, wanting to get to know him better, realizing she knew basically nothing about him.

Rudi got lost in the moment of watching television with Emily leaning on him. Her question got his attention though. "No. I live with my dad, but he's at work right now. He works six days a week. It's just to bring in money. I used to live with my mom as well, but she left my dad and I after my dad lost his job. We've been living here for about seven years I think. I mean we have enough money to move out and get a normal house, but my dad doesn't want to do that yet until he starts dating again and gets married. Rudi caught his breath. He had never said so much about his father before. Emily didn't ask about his father, but Rudi added that whole thing in just to inform her on his situation.

Rudi focused back on the show. All this talk about his dad made him weary. He wanted to get a little more information on Emily though. "How's living with your uncle and cousin? Not to be rude, but your cousin is a dick."

ImageEmily nodded her head at Rudi's words, listening intently as he talked about his dad and a little bit about his mom. She frowned slightly, not understanding how a mother could leave her child like that. Sure, she'd had friends who's parents had gotten divorced, but she was lucky, her parents were in love and loved her as well. There was never a time she felt unloved or unwanted, well, not until recently.

When Rudi mentioned her cousin, she snorted quietly. "So you noticed, huh?" She said with another quiet laugh, shaking her head. "He has pretty much everyone at school fooled apparently, they all spoke nothing but his praises." She said with a roll of her eyes. "Uncle Tom is very nice, he's done everything he can to try and make me feel at home. But no matter what he does, it's still not home." She said, with a shake of her head, biting her bottom lip, a wave of grief washing over her as she thought about her parents again.

"Thomas on the other hand, has done everything in his power to make sure I know just how unwelcome I am." Emily continued with a shake of her head. "Well, at least when we're alone. He wouldn't say anything rude to me in front of his dad." She said with a small snort.

Rudi simply nodded at Emily's response. He never really knew how awful Thomas was until earlier at the bowling alley. "It must suck having to live with him. You could always move in with me and my dad," Rudi chuckled at his own offer. There was not another word that Rudi spoke. He sat with he in silence one again. It wasn't intended, but he hadn't had such a wonderful time with anyone in a while. But something came up in his thoughts. It was about being such a player. He thought of mentioning it. Bringing up all the times he had hooked up or even had sex with girls almost every week or so. He didn't want the truth to come out some other time from anyone or even Thomas, to be honest. Rudi knew the truth would hurt Emily, but at the same time holding off on telling might be slightly worse. Rudi shook the thoughts and lived in the moment. Without anything else forming in his mind, Rudi wrapped his arms around Emily and kissed her.

Emily smiled at Rudi's offer, but shook her head. "I doubt your dad would be ok with that." She said with a small laugh. As the silence fell between them, she didn't mind it, she just relaxed against Rudi slightly. When he wrapped his arms around her, she glanced up at him, and he leaned in and kissed her. She smiled against his lips as she gently returned the kiss, a hand going up to run through his hair as they kissed.

Rudi could feel the connection between the two of them. He felt her hand slide through his hair as they kissed. He decided to do the same and moved one of his hands from her back to her long hair. His fingers weaved through her golden locks. Rudi had no idea if this was going to lead to anything, but he took a chance with that. He slowly released himself from the kiss and pulled his shirt off over his. He didn't decide to scare her by taking it any furth so he went back in and locked lips with her once again.

Emily had her eyes shut as she kissed Rudi, just enjoying the feel of his lips and his hands on her back. When he pulled back, she opened her eyes, which widened slightly as he pulled off his shirt, she only had a brief moment to taken his naked chest before he leaned in and kissed her again. Her heart raced in her chest as a hand moved to his torso, laying flat on his stomach before slowly inching up to his chest, over his shoulder and around to his back. She'd seen guys shirtless before, when she went to the beach with her parents, but she'd never been this close or actually touched a guy like this. She wasn't really sure how far she was willing to go, or how far Rudi would try to take things, but in the moment, she was enjoying it.

The touch of Emily's hand was cold, but Rudi enjoyed it. He slowly wrapped his arm back around Emily. Rudi wasn't sure that Emily would have been into this, but at the same time he was too excited to stop where he was. Rudi knew there was a chance he was going to go even further with her. Without a moment of hesitation, Rudi slid his hand up the back of Emily's shirt and slowly rubbed his hand on her back. He leaned further in with the kiss. There wasn't a dull moment with her, Rudi thought. He pulled back just to smile. This time when he went back to kiss her, Rudi kissed along her neck.

A shiver went down Emily's spine as she felt Rudi's hand on her back. When he leaned in and kissed her neck, nervous butterflies filled her stomach. She wasn't sure if Rudi was going to try to go farther, though she had a feeling he would. She was afraid of letting things go too far, before stopping, not wanting Rudi to think of her as a tease, or to be angry with her. "R-Rudi" She murmured, a little breathlessly, her other hand going to his hair as the one stilled on his back. "I-I think we should stop." She whispered, but there wasn't really any conviction in her voice, she was afraid of how he'd react, having heard stories from other girls on how angry some guys could get when they didn't get what they wanted, or thought a girl was being a tease.

Rudi was afraid that would happen. A half smile formed on his face, "I-I understand. I was trying to take things fast, but I shouldn't have tried to rush you." Rudi was furious. He obviously wasn't going to express his anger physically, but he was trying hard to keep it back. Rudi simply stood up and picked his shirt up, sliding it back on. He went back over to Emily and placed his hand gently on her arm. "Do you wanna go home? If you want to I can give you a ride," Rudi stated with a slight sigh. Although his rage seemed to be boiling down, he was still upset. He was teased by Emily, but at the same time he couldn't blame her for feeling as if they were going too fast.

ImageEmily bit her bottom lip, watching Rudi as he got up from the couch, grabbed his shirt and slipped it back on. A longing tugged in her chest, wishing he'd take it off again. This feeling frightened her, not really sure what was going on, why she was feeling this way, especially considering she'd just met this guy and still knew next to nothing about him. She was drawn from her thoughts, feeling his hand on her arm again. Glancing up at him as he spoke, she shook her head slightly. "N-no, it's ok. I can walk." She said, giving him a small smile as she got to her feet, running a hand through her slightly disheveled hair. "I'll see you at school." She said, quickly leaning in and kissing him softly on the lips before turning and heading toward the front door. She felt bad for turning him down, stopping like that, but Rudi is the only guy she's kissed, and that was just yesterday, she felt like things were moving too fast, and she wasn't sure she was ready to lose her virginity, having been afraid that things would have progressed that far if she hadn't stopped it. She wanted to walk home, to clear her mind, and also because she didn't want to trouble Rudi after she'd turned him down like she did.

The next day went by and Rudi spent most of the day sulking around his apartment as his dad watched movies almost all day long. By the time it was around midnight Rudi fell into bed and tried to sleep. It took him about an hour to fall sound asleep. He wasn't in the mood to go to school on Monday, but he didn't have a choice if he wanted to graduate. Rudi's alarm started blaring at around six am. He slammed his fist on the snooze button, almost cracking the plastic. He slowly fell out from under his covers and dropped his clothes. He stepped into the bathroom and went right into the shower. After he cleaned himself off he dried off. He looked at his wet body in the floor mirror, checking himself out. His eyes gazed all around his own body. He knew Emily would want him if she saw him like this. But at the same time, Rudi was creeping himself out. He shook the thoughts from his head and threw on jeans and a t-shirt. He skipped breakfast and went right down to his car. He drove off to school and parked in the lot. He walked in the building and went right to class.

ImageSunday, Emily spent the majority of the day in her room looking over her text books. She knew, with her parents gone, getting a scholarship for college was even more important now than it had been before. The only time she came out of her room was for dinner, where her uncle made sure that Thomas knew he was to give Emily a ride to school in the morning. Of course Thomas wasn't thrilled with the idea and shot her a nasty look when his dad wasn't looking. After dinner, she retreated back to her room to take a shower and get ready for bed.

On Monday, she woke up before her alarm was set to go off, rubbing a hand over her eyes as she sat up slowly, canceling the alarm before going over to her closet. After rummaging around for a while, she was able to pull together a cute outfit. Once she was dressed, her hair up in a high ponytail, she walked out of her room and down to the kitchen, surprised to see Thomas already there, finishing up his breakfast. He frowned when he saw her, apparently having been hoping to get up early and leave before she woke up. "Good morning to you too." She muttered, grabbing a granola bar before quickly following Thomas out to his car. He didn't say a word to her as he drove them to school.

When they reached the school, Emily got out of the car and was about to head off in her own direction when some of Thomas's friends showed up. Of course, a few of them eyed her as they talked. "Hey, Em, you gonna come to the party this weekend?" one of the guys asked. "Nah man, parties aren't exactly Emily's thing, right cuz," Thomas said, giving her a pointed look. Emily, growing tired of Thomas's animosity, gave his friend a smile. "Sure, I'll be there. I'm sure it'll be fun." She said, trying not to laugh at the look of pure anger on her cousin's face. "I'll see you guys around." She said, turning on her heels and heading toward class.

When Emily reached the classroom, she saw that only a few people were there as it was still pretty early, she was surprised to find that one of the early students was Rudi. "Hey," She said, as she walked over and sat down in the seat next to him, really hoping he wasn't too upset about what happened on Saturday.

The morning was cruel to Rudi. He didn't feel like even getting up today. He'd rather die then have to see Emily again. But he spoke too soon. Rudi picked his head up from the desk when he heard the sound of Emily's voice. Rudi gave her a simple smile with a "Hey." Rudi just wanted the day to go by as quickly as possible now. He thought about just ignoring Emily, but he didn't want to be rude. To be honest he still wanted to be with Emily, but he felt embarrassed around her now. He even had the thought of hooking up with some popular girl just in spite. "So... I guess you aren't into sex? Sorry that was a but rude. I guess we should just take it slow."

Emily frowned slightly at Rudi's comment about sex, and was about to just get up and leave him be, figuring he was still upset. But when he apologized, she slowly nodded her head. "It's alright. And yeah, slow would be nice." She said, giving him a small smile. "I was actually gonna see if you were going to that party this weekend? One of Thomas's friends invited me, and I agreed to go to spite Thomas." She admitted a little ruefully. Honestly, she'd never been to a party before, other than the ones her parents had from time to time but those were business parties, she was sure a high school party would be something completely different. "I really don't want to go by myself though." She said, her eyes pleading silently. She knew it probably wasn't fair to be asking Rudi favors, but she didn't really know anyone else.

Rudi couldn't help but smile. He knew that party was is chance at getting with her. Obviously, every thought Rudi had about getting with Emily excited him, but at the same time he was sick with his thoughts. He just wanted to be normal. He gazed over her body, but said "Yeah, I'll go." That was all Rudi had to say. He did want to go, but wasn't invited before then. Rudi knew why though. Thomas did like him nor did any of his friends. But Rudi had the same feelings towards Thomas and all his friends. But he was annoyed at the fact that everyone including Thomas had spread the word that Rudi was a player, but Rudi knew what Thomas and his friends were up to. But if Rudi brought any of that up he knew he wouldn't win the fight.

ImageEmily smiled when Rudi agreed to go to the party. "Oh, thank you." She said, leaning over and giving him a quick hug. She felt better knowing that Rudi was going to be there as he was really the only friend she'd made since moving here. It was then that Thomas came into the room with his friends, including the guy who'd invited Emily to the party. He was tall, a little taller than Thomas, with red hair and green eyes. "Hey, Em, you may wanna get in the right seat before the teacher comes in." He said, as he sat down in the seat next to the one the teacher had assigned her. She hadn't noticed him that first day as she'd been more worried about her cousin and his masked hostility toward her. "Oh, um, alright." She said, grabbing her books and getting up from the seat next to Rudi. "I'll talk to you at lunch." She said, leaning down to kiss Rudi, but at the last moment, thought better of it, and kissed him on the cheek instead. She'd just had her first kiss a few days ago, and she wasn't sure she was ready to be kissing in public, it wasn't that she was embarrassed of Rudi, she was just embarrassed period. The redhead, Colton, gave Rudi a dirty look but didn't say anything, turning to face the front of the classroom before Emily could see the look he'd given.

Rudi smiled as Emily gave him a peck on the cheek. He check her out as she walked back to her seat. When he turned back he saw the dirty look that Colton gave him. Rudi just ignored him and paid attention to the teacher at the front of the room. If the teacher wasn't there, Rudi would have gotten up and beat that kid senseless, but he knew better than that. But at the same time Rudi didn't care about detention or being suspended, or even expelled if it went that far, but Rudi held back.

As class went on he tried to stay awake the entire time. He managed to do so, but all the notes he took were written in what seemed to be chicken scratch. Every now and then throughout class Rudi would look back at Emily and smile. He did that just to keep himself from falling asleep, but he also wanted to show her that he wasn't really upset anymore. Rudi knew he shouldn't have been really upset in the first place, because he knew he was taking it way to quickly.

ImageEmily put her books in her locker, closing the door and leaning her head against it for a few moments. Evidently more word of her had spread around the school, rumors with no solid proof, but of course, most of them were true. And one in particular had a lot of guys circling around her like vulturous, the rumor that she was still a virgin. Emily didn't really understand what the draw was, having figured they'd want a girl who knew what she was doing, but aparently not. There wasn't one class that morning where a guy didn't try to hit on her or ask her out and she was growing very annoyed with it. "Hey, Em, you wanna sit with us in the cafeteria?" Colton asked, coming up to her, leaning against the locker next to hers. She glanced over at him, shaking her head slightly. "No thanks, I'm gonna head to the library, have to do some research for a report." She fibbed, hoping he would believe her, she'd never been a good liar.

Colton frowned slightly but nodded his head. "Alright, I'll see you around Em," He said with a small smirk, checking her out before pushing off the locker and heading toward the cafeteria. Emily breathed a quiet sigh of relief as he walked away. She turned and headed out to the courtyard, really just wanting some fresh air, hoping to get some piece and quiet away from all the other students.

Rudi went through most of his school day just doing his class work and keeping to himself. He heard of multiple people trying to hit on Emily, but Rudi just ignored the fact that people wanted to get with her. When the bell rang for lunch, Rudi rose from his seat in class and kept on going with his day. He walked to his locker and grabbed his brown bag lunch that his dad packed. It was one of the few things that Rudi could just smile at. He knew his father cared for him, but Rudi was being tough by trying to block him out most of the time. Rudi was heading to the cafeteria when he saw Emily through the big windows going out to the courtyard. He wasn't sure if he really wanted to talk to her, but he'd rather talk with her than be bullied by some jocks or listen to his stupid friends talk about drugs and stuff. Rudi went out to the courtyard and stood in front of Emily "Hey."

Emily had had her eyes closed, leaning back on the seat at the picnic table she's sat down at, her face turned up toward the sky, enjoying the feel of the sun on her skin. She opened her eyes when she felt someone sit down across from her, a slight smile tugging on her lips when she saw Rudi. "Hey," She responded, straightening up a little, resting her arms on the table in front of her. Emily glanced around curiously before looking at Rudi once more. "Not eating lunch with your friends?" She asked, remembering the guy from the bowling alley, really hoping he wasn't hanging around anywhere.

Rudi smiled at her before putting his lunch down on the table and opening up his brown bag. He started to eat his lunch when he heard Emily's question. "Nah. I'm not in the mood to talk to anyone except you right now." Rudi wasn't in the mood to really talk at all while he ate, but if he was to talk to anyone he was glad it was Emily. Rudi took a sip from his water bottle. "About that party on the weekend... are you sure you're ready for that? I mean you just moved here and I heard you've never been to a high school party before. I'm just gonna warn you right now and tell you it's gonna be sort of insane. There's gonna be drugs and alcohol. If that doesn't bother you then that's alright."

Emily nodded her head at his words, a smile on her lips. She was actually kind of glad that he'd decided to come out here instead of having lunch with his friends. She liked hanging out with him. At his mention of the party, she hesitated a moment, gently nibbling on her bottom lip. "I already said I would go. Plus, if I don't go, the Thomas gets his way." She said, glancing down at her hands, nervously fiddling with her fingers. Honestly, she wasn't really sure she was ready for this party, but as long as she knew Rudi was going to be with her, it didn't really worry her as much. "You wanna go, right?" She asked, glancing up at him, wanting to make sure that he wasn't just going because she asked him to.

Rudi nodded his head "Yeah I said I would go with you. I'm gonna be like your tutor, but instead of teaching you about math i'll be teaching you about to to properly party." He didn't mind having to be with Emily most of the time if she needed someone with her, but he hadn't been to a party in a few weeks. He knew the one Colton would be throwing would be pretty good. He expected there to be cold beer on standby. Rudi continued eating his food. When he finished he scrunched up his brown paper bag and threw it at the trash can, just barely getting it in.

ImageThe rest of the week went by quickly and with very little excitement. Emily got into a daily routine, and things started to get a little easier. Thomas still had his masked hostility toward her, but at least he'd agreed to give her a ride to the party, not wanting to risk her saying anything to his father about the party. So when 7 o'clock, Saturday night rolled around, Emily was sitting in the passenger seat of her cousin's car, nervously fidgeting with her skirt. It had taken her hours to pick out her outfit, wanting to look cute, but not too revealing, as she didn't want to give anyone the wrong idea, least of all Rudi.

A little while later, Thomas pulled up in front of a rather large house, there were a lot of cars already parked around the house, some even parked haphazardly on the lawn. Thomas got out of the car and headed into the house without saying a word to her. When he opened the door, the music that was blaring inside, grew louder, only to quieten down slightly once the door was shut. Emily glanced around a little nervously as she glanced around, not really sure what to do, not sure if Rudi was at the party yet or not. After a moment's hesitation, she slowly walked up to the front door, following her cousin's lead, and walking into the house.

It was so much louder in here, she could hardly hear herself think over the sound of the music and people shouting at each other to be heard over the too loud music. She gently wrapped her arms around herself, hugging herself protectively as she slowly made her way through the crowd, not really sure where she's going, though ending up in the kitchen.
