Introduction
Welcome to the world of Unknown Powers, this is a fantasy world filled with the normal things you’d find in fantasy stories, Magical creatures (Vampires, fairies, dragons, etc…), magical powers, and powerful warriors. However the way this world works is much more complicated than you basic fantasy. People are divided by their element and rarely do these “tribes” mix. The strongest of the tribes are the Light and Dark users, the two original powers that they say created this world.
Dark Users are harsh blood thirsty demonic humans that generally avoid contact with other tribes unless there is a war. They can manipulate shadows and are greatly weakened by light.
Light users are usually compared to wingless angels, with powerful healing skills and the power to manipulate light they stay hidden and avoid wars. At night they can survive off of the light of the moon but darkness scares and weakens them.
The next 4 tribes consist of Air, Earth, Fire, and Water. The tribes that developed soon after Light and Darkness had settled.
Air users are free spirited and generally happy people they can manipulate air currents around them and their specializations will generally involve summoning large flying beasts.
Earth users originate from underground and are very passive as people. They can manipulate rocks, sand, dirt basically anything in the ground.
Fire users are very hotheaded, easily aggravated, and are considered some of the most powerful warriors in the world.
Water users are much chiller and normally go with the flow however they also are very intelligent and make strong fighters. (NO ICE USING)

Stepping out of the water for the first time in months, Pyro's feet sink into the hot wet sand around his feet. The red scales coating his body dissappeared and he observes the land around him already missing the feeling of water around him at all times. He looks to the sky and makes his decision, He's returning to the real world, no more of his soul recovery in the ocean. His estimated position puts him south of the Nature and Fire Villages looking around one more time taking everything in he takes off into the forest in the direction of the nature village hoping to find one of his old friends to udate him on the condition of the villages. Last he heard the Fire Village was on the verge of war with the Powerless but the only fighting were Air raids of the Ice village, other than that there was widespread peace. And with that he continued his run deep into the forest of the nature users.

Andromeda sits in her hut, staring at the bright wood. She sighs, missing the softer, duller wood of her old cabin. These thoughts lead to her thinking of Rayburn, Pyro's brother and how he burned down her cabin, which then leads to thoughts of Pyro. She closes her eyes and tries to visualize him, hoping the trees around her would somehow know where Pyro was. Andromeda had not seen him for a long time and she was worried, as she had felt him slowly isolating himself from her as the grief of his brother ate away at him.
She stands up and walks to her pile of smooth round rocks. She starts chanting and drawing signals on them, the soothing gesture of making spells calming her, so soon all thoughts of Pyro just...slip away.

Pyro finally reaches what he had been looking for, the fresh new house just on the edge of the Nature village, Andromeda's old hut. "Hey, I came back." He smiles swinging in through the door.
Andromeda looses her concentration and the rock fizzles. She throws it in the fire, where it would loose the failed magic spell. She turns to Pyro and smiles, "Did you find what you were looking for? Or are you here just passing by?" Andromeda motions him in and starts making some food.

"I don't know what I was looking for ." Pyro says, "But I've come to terms with living without Rayburn. Did you miss me?" He smiles.

"Then you found it" Andromeda says smiling, looking Pyro over for a moment then moving foward quickly to hug him. She wraps her arms around him and squezes tightly, "Do you even have to ask?"

"It's so nice to have some human contact." Pyro says Squeezing her tighter his new strong muscles crushing her slightly. He then lets go and kisses her forehead. "I had forgotten how beautiful you are."

Alyssia slowly walked into the clearing, she knew she would not be welcomed warmly. The nature village was calm and peaceful, but past experience had taught her to never expect people to behave a certain way, based on what they were meant to be like. She knew someone had arrived here recently, she had followed their tracks. Hopefully, someone would have some clue to what was going on. Or maybe she'd find somebody who was just as clueless as she was. Either way, she was determined to talk this time. She felt vulnerable, although the forest was still there, the shadows which it created were nowhere near close enough to comfort her. Taking a breathe she stepped forward, makiing herself known to the people there.

"A dark user?" Pyro sensing the gloomy aura. Daemon? he thinks for a moment but wipes that memory away. He lets go of Andromeda and turns around, seeing the girl that was clearly a dark user, black hair, grey eyes. "Were you expecting company, Andromeda?" He asks unsure if he should be alarmed by the dark user or not.

Andromeda is about to respond when she senses the dark user. She stiffens and softly says "No I wasn't. She doesnt look injured...Why is she here..." She slowly reaches to her pocket feeling the conforting weight of a small rock. "Can we help you?" Andromeda calls out to the dark user. She takes the stone and grabs Pyro's hand, transfering the rock to his hand. "Just in case she attacks" She whispers. "Just throw it at her and close your eyes."

"Can we help you?" The girl called out. Alyssia tried to think of something to reply, all the while studying them. She wished shadows were nearer to her, she needed some comfort. Her eyes drifted from the girl to the boy. There was something about him, was he familiar in some way? No, she didn't think so. But something was nagging her, on the edge of her mind. She ignored the presence of shadows who had just entered her mind. "I..." She spoke so quietly, even she couldn't hear herself. SHe cleared her throat. "I...am...Alyssia." She finsihed, not knowing what to say. Just as she was about to ask them if they had any news on the threatning war, a searing pain shot through her head and her vision blurred. She crumpled to the floor, trying to breathe. She accepted what memory the shadows were trying to share with her. Images dance through her mind, and eventually came to an end, leaving her to see only black. Before she fell, admitting defeat to the exhaustion that suddenly swept over her, she mutteres something. She didn't know what she said, and didn't care to know. She welcomed the darkness that consumed her, blackng out into unconsciousness.

Andromeda sees the girl hesitate and her eyes narrow. Should she take out the girl right there and then? Andromeda scolds herself, this war had gotten on her nerves, making her just as suspicious as the rest of them. She tries to calm her body down, to no avail. She sees the girls mouth moving and she strains to hear. The girl speaks again and she hears her name. "Welcome Alyssia." Suddenly Andromeda's healer sense warned her that the girl was going to pass out, maybe it was the way her eyes shifted or something in her body, but before the Alyssia could hit the ground Andromeda was there.

"Is she okay?" Pyro says a little shocked by her sudden collapse, "Here." He takes Alyssia from Andromeda's arms and brings her onto one of the beds inside. "What's a dark user doing so far from the village? Hopefully she's not like Daemon and Eve."

It didn't take long for Alyssia to come round, but even when she managed to flicker her eyes open she still felt groggy. She sat up, ignoring the room spinning. Thats when she noticed she was on a bed in a room. Instincts kicking in she pulled out a dagger hwich had been tucked inside her boot. She looked at the two people. And then it came back to her; the people outside, the memory fromt the shadows. She put the dagger down slowly in front of her, showing she meant no harm. "Sorry." She muttered. She couldn't meet their eyes, and instead kept her eyes lowered and head bowed, with hair covering her face.

Andromeda calms her nerves and instantly sets to work. She grabs some water and sets it to boil. "Watch the water tell me when it's ready." She isntructs Pyro then turns to Alyssia touching her forhead lightly. Andromeda's eyes close as she's drawn into the girls mind. She makes a mental note of the girl's question about the war, adding it to the side of why Allysia wasn't a threat. She feels the shadows swirl in Alyssias mind but cant tell the images specifically. For once she curses her power's restriction. Andromeda can't tell anything about the shadows, just that they are there and that Alyssia's fainting was due to them. Carefully she opens her eyes and draws her hand away. "She doesnt seem like a threat Pyro...But she fainted because of some shadows in her mind...I can't tell what they were telling her" She tells Pyro in frustration.

"It's okay, as long as you don't hurt us we won't hurt you." Pyro smiles at the girl. "What did you need that water for?" Pyro asks Andromeda holding his hand in the fire, his eyes flash red and the heat makes the water boil in an instant.

"I was just going to make some tea for Alyssia here." Andromeda responds grabbing a mug and poiring the water into it. She makes a mixutre of tea and hands it to Alyssia, "This will bring back your energy and revive you a bit. When was the last time you ate or rested? You seem exausted which probably didn't help when the shadows came."

She peeked up as the boy, Pyro spoke and smiled at her. She looked down again. Then Andromeda handed her a warm mug. Even the smell made the ache in Alyssia's head fade a little. She took a sip. It warmed her through, made her for some reason felt safe. That feeling in itself scared her, she hadn't felt like that for a long time. And when she had, well it didn't turn out too well. "A while ago. I rest when I can. Surviving comes first." Alyssia replied. "How did you know about shadows. I mean for most Dark users, well they can't..." Alyssia stopped speaking. Did their faces really stiffen when she sad Dark users, or was it just her?

"Rest now. Surviving is killing you at the moment, you can rest safely here. No one will hurt you. " Andromeda says kindly. She sits on a chair and raises her eyebrows "Most dark users cant what?" she asks curious. Andromeda decides not to share that she had gone inside of Alyssias mind so she ignores the question about how she knew about the shadows. She ponders the possible meaning of what could have been behind the unfinished sentence and what made Alyssia stop in her tracks.

Pyro sits down next the fire place and begins to play with some of the boiled water Andromeda didn't use. It floats in the air steaming and round like a water droplet. He does some tricks with it moving the water through his finger causing it to fall apart and then quickly reform the bubble. He listens in on their conversation fascinated by Alyssia, and taking note of Andromeda’s behavior.

Alyssia watched the water. It really was beautiful, the way it shone and shimmered. Most people flinched when she made a shadow dance. Thinking about it, she stretched her mind out and opened her hand, and a shadow leapt forward, hangiing in the air above her hand without anythng to hold onto, it looked like a ball of black mist, she squinted her eyes a little and it formed into the sillhouette of a ballerina dancing. She changed it into a swan, and it flew over to Pyro's bublle, circling the blue sphere, wings almost touching it. "Sorry." She said, letting the shadow return to the corner. She looked up and for the first time met her hosts' eyes. Her eyes were wide as she looked at them, and a small smile spread on her lips.

Pyro chuckles at the shadow swan it certainly showed that this girl was talented in controling shadows. When it rushes back to the corner he is suprised the water bubble falls and soaks him. "Aw come on." He frowns drying his dripping wet clothes by pulling the water out of them slowly reforming the bubble in the air above him. "Please don't think that was your fault," He looks at Alyssia. "I'm just starting to be able to fully used my water powers. But you I can see are much more talented."

Alyssia bit her lip as Pyro pulled out water from his clothes. "I'm not talanted, I just trust them. The ones with more...Life?... in them... they're harder to control. Sometimes you can't control or manipulate them. So I just ask, and they normally accept. And then there are the ones who..." Alyssia trailed off. Why was she speaking about shadows to somebody? She never told anyone anything about shadows. And she almost started discussing the different ones, the ones who put their memories inside her. Realising she had stopped talking in mid-sentence, again- she was going to have to work on her people skills. She decided to start by stop talking about herself. "So, you weren't always able to... pull water droplets out of your clothes?"

Heh, I got a bit ahead of myself in starting this role play on like the first day I was on this site and didn't understand how things worked, my other roleplay is thriving compared to this one cuz I did that with ten times more experience. so I'm going to let this one die and perhaps return to the topic sometime in the future. sorry about this waste of time I'll be sure to reinvite people if they still want to try this at a later time in a different roleplay.

Sorry if i wasn't so clear in my last post Eliz. I guess what I was really trying to say is that I think we should start the roleplay over from the beginning (When the original roleplay began) and assume that the people you guys met and interacted with either don't exist or have not been run into yet.
You guys are good with your histories so long as they end where this story begins (and nothing after that or anything that happened after character creation in the original).
So how does that sound? Is that more clear and agreeable?

So honestly Alberio, we can't stop some of our old characters from coming in....unless we scratch the idea of our old characters, and just have Pyro and Andromeda with zero history....Though i'm not sure Shad will want to do that... and honestly i dont particularly to have Andromeda without her history, as that is what makes her her....I'll have to talk to her...

I agree with Eliz. I have no idea where this roleplay came from or where it went and quite frankly I don't want to know. It's best to think of the roleplay now as a world that existed without any of the characters from the original. Sort of an alternate reality if you will.
The point is I don't think that anyone from the original should exist here (unless they are being played by someone from the original) and I don't think that any of the events that occured in the original should have occured here (at least yet).

Hi both new rpers =D so shad i think we should delete all the posts so far...can you do that? and maybe just start over...you(*shad) and I need to discuss how much we should bring from the past because we dont want to do anymore confusing...i mean since we are in the same world old characters are sure to come in....

hmmm I think a good thing for me to do right now is to scan and put up my map of the land so that people better understand the positions of everything. I'll see if I can get it up, but idk.
We'll start this in the nature village because it's convenient, since everyone has a reason to be there. Plus the evil will be fighting against nature users which is an easy win in most cases, that way Pyro, Andromeda, and Allysia will be able to fight back but incapable of success. The nature village can be destroied by the villian and the "heros" will successfully escape, being the only survivors. they can then vow to avenge the nature village and chase after the villain, before they succeed in destroying the rest of the villages. If the villian is dark the blame will be pointed toward the dark village and soon the other villages will turn against the dark villages some will begin to plot a fight against the dark users and others will defend them thus the war is sparked. The heros will choose to investigate the causes or take down the villian.

well I plan to be the evil one... once i make my character. which i will do almost immediatly, is that how you spell it? I was thinking like have everyone sort of trying to keep out of it and then the dark tribe can be like always trying stir things up. and when it gets too out of hand the other characters decide to try and put a stop to it, but not winning straight away. :P do you like?

Well here's what I'm thinking (an I'm just free styling here)
It is already well established that the world this RP is set in has either just begun a war or is about to enter into one. As such the characters primary goals are any of the follows;
1. Stop the war and have both sides come to an armistice. If this works then the problem becomes keeping this detente in place from opposing rebel factions.
2. Find an enemy within the war, join a cause against that enemy and serve a crushing defeat to them, unifying the survivors of the conflict
3. Have the war continue but make it develop as we desire thereby setting ourselves up as the "hero's" once we finnally decide to bring the war to an end
4. SImply try and exist in the world without fighting and be forced into conflicts which we do not choose and are forced into, or else retreat to the farthst corners of the wilderness where we may (or may not) find a metaphysical conflict occuring in a "spirit world" or "realm of the god's" that is influencing our own world.
5. Some other alternative that I am incapable of devising at this time, or any combination of the above idea's.
Personally I am thinking that we all start out in a village that is about to become the first conflict for the war (who is fighting whom is sorta left up to chance). The village though not directly involved (and populated by normal people without powers) is will become a battle ground and we must make a choice to either help one side or the other or to protect the village and make sure either everyone escapes or neither tribe wins the conflict. Regardless of the outcome, based on what we do in the village word of our deeds will spread. Though we won't neccessarily be "hunted" by any side, and we would not become the group of insanely powerful travelers, what we do will spread before our coming and depending on what we do with that reputation will allow us to influence the world for good or ill, maybe even making some sides WANT to hunt us (maybe even all of them) or obtaining a reputation as mediators for conflicts before they begin.

SImply try and exist in the world without fighting and be forced into conflicts which we do not choose and are forced into, or else retreat to the farthst corners of the wilderness where we may (or may not) find a metaphysical conflict occuring in a "spirit world" or "realm of the god's" that is influencing our own world.
5. Some other alternative that I am incapable of devising at this time, or any combination of the above idea's.
Personally I am thinking that we all start out in a village that is about to become the first conflict for the war (who is fighting whom is sorta left up to chance). The village though not directly involved (and populated by normal people without powers) is will become a battle ground and we must make a choice to either help one side or the other or to protect the village and make sure either everyone escapes or neither tribe wins the conflict. Regardless of the outcome, based on what we do in the village word of our deeds will spread. Though we won't neccessarily be "hunted" by any side, and we would not become the group of insanely powerful travelers, what we do will spread before our coming and depending on what we do with that reputation will allow us to influence the world for good or ill, maybe even making some sides WANT to hunt us (maybe even all of them) or obtaining a reputation as mediators for conflicts before they begin.

(Also Shad, I have an idea for a more secretive plot that would probably best not be shared with the other players, just the GM and the persons involved. PM me if you are interested)

Okay so people who are still up for this RP, we need a plot we have:
1. a healer (Andromeda)
2. a semistrong extremely intelligent boaderline depressing guy (Pyro)
3. a scary dark user? (Allysia)
4. a Tech runaway (Wallace)
now what can we do with this? hmmm... I was thinking Pyro+Allysia+Andromeda head to the fire village and Wallace could be there doing some behind the scenes work. but I'm actually rly clueless as to what we could do.... I could scrap Pyro and make a new character that makes an actual plot (all I can think of is Avatar the Last Airbender style where everyone is looking for or trying to destroy the all powerful hero)

yeah plz feel free to jump in and totally fix this stupid blast from the past scene I have created.... the action will start up once I force myself away from this stupid plot, and put together a story like in my other rp.... so you jumping in can fix that hmmmm. we shall see what I edit, but the character restrictions will be the same, and you can have the dual elements even though one is preferable. Mention dual powered people are considered abominations and are killed, usually their specialization is a combo of the two powers, like Daemon could fly between dementions, (combo of Dark and Flight)

The tribes are usually strictly one element, there are rare exceptions like the nature village where they are extremely friendly and accepting. I would prefer if the evil character is Dark (because they would want to stir up a war) or the leader of the "City" which contains Powerless and Technology users, the people who started the war. I would like to see what you had in mind though... I'm still trying to figure out the main plot, in our last one a dark user that could infiltrate dreams played the role of the villain that killed the main character's parents and all sorts of events happened leading to an epic battle where he was killed. He still haunts dreams so we can once again use him but I'd love to see yours because I personally I think his character has been used up. XD I'm just talking on and on and getting completely into a different topic.....

Plus if you must have the earth+Dark character, that would be the result of an Earth and Dark parent, Daemon, our old main character was dark/flight. I could play a villain. My character would be female naturally. I was wondering, could I have a mixed character of two tribes but only one specific element? Like have an earth and dark combination but have her specialize in darkness? If not then thats cool.
I am good at playing the evil one. I write a lot of stories and there is almost always a bad guy in it and I create them well. They are often exceptionally dark and twisted with a horrid childhood or perhaps they were just born evil. I am exceptionally evil myself and love gore and anything else horrific. I make good villains. I'll submit a character and then let you decide.
