His Warlock mark consist of a single 4 inch, ivory horn protruding from the center of his forehead. He also has a birthmark of a crescent moon on his collarbone.
Bio:
Roland has been described as a dreadfully serious young man with a barren sense of humor,there are very, very few things that actually make him genuinely happy. He doesn't know who his parents are and he really doesn't care to ever find out, he would not hesitate to kill his own mother and grind his demon father to dust if he ever were to discover who they were; they are the only two who he loath more than the Clave and himself because his father is the one who created him, and his mother is the one who gave up at infancy, damning him to a life constant abandonment and unrelenting hardships.
He spent most of his youth in between Saint Joseph' Foster Care Center and the homes of families unfortunate enough to be seduced by his curly black locks. Back then the only person he trusted and loved was an elderly nun who's name he has blocked out of his own memory. He was treated poorly by the other children and met with hatred by the nuns who ran the establishment, all except that women who claimed to see the good in him where as the rest seemed to believe wholeheartedly that he was either possessed by a demon or was the Anti Christ in the flesh. To him she was the only thing in this world that made life worth living. That was until the unfortunate incidents began.
At the age of 7 he'd been adopted by a young Married couple who wanted kids but didn't want the hassle of an actual baby and when they first layed eyes on him, they were in love. After just one month the house was burned to the ground inexplicably, no one made it out alive, no one but Roland that is. This only confirmed the suspicions of the other nuns and his treatment got a lot worse after that. Then there was a second family, an older couple; their children had already left the nest but they were still eager to raise another but menopause made it impossible to conceive any more. They had come with the intentions of adopting a younger child, by then he had turned 8 and they could see the misery in his eyes, fueled by misplaced righteousness they took him under their roof instead. And they burned, just like the last. Four years and 3 deaths later Roland was on the streets, but by then he was aware of what he was and how all those families were killed; He was a Warlock and it was his immature magical abilities acting on their own, but even being aware of this he could not forgive those who abandoned him and left him on the streets to fend for himself.
It wasn't long after that he began to see and hear things he'd never really picked up on before, he became aware of the Downworld and of the many creatures that existed. Some like him and others a lot more monstrous. Growing up in the church impaired his true sight as well as his powers which is why they become so volatile once removed from it, it was grossly interfering with the mature process of his magical blood. It wasn't until the age of 16 that he realized something that made him radically different from other Warlocks and that was the ability to do all forms of magic without incantations or books. Word spread quickly throughout Downworld so naturally the Clave very quickly became aware of it, and they weren't happy about it. It made him dangerous because with the right knowledge he could cause unspeakable chaos, the Clave held that knowledge in the form of a very particular book. So if it was protected what was the problem? Well in most cases if the book was ever somehow stolen and ended up in the hands of a Warlock with a grudge they wold have time to recover it while said Warlock gathered the critical resources to make casting spells from that book possible. But In his case all he had to do was read the book, just one look he would have all he need to cast the spell, no preparations or incantations required. A magical genius. So it was decided he was far too dangerous to be kept alive, and so they hunted him, and he's lived on the run ever since, because even with his unique gift he could never stand against the might of the Clave alone.
