Family:
Jane lives with her father, Adrian Lynch and step-mother, Nicole Reeve-Lynch. Her mother, Laura Beck, is now married to Christopher Beck and they have a 2-year-old son, Greyson, together.

Jane's relationships with her mother and step-father are strong, but the pair and their son live in Los Angeles, so she only sees them a few times a year. Although she often claims that she would be much better off living with them, the fact that she doesn't see them very often probably contributes to their positive relationship. Jane's attitude and lifestyle make it hard for her to have a healthy relationships with the people in charge of her. Laura is a concert pianist and Christopher is a retired professional baseball player.

Adrian has primary guardianship of Jane, so her relationship with him and his second wife of two years is more prominent and notably, is generally poor. He's a business tycoon and the 13th wealthiest person in the world, with a net worth of 37 billion dollars. Adrian is the chairman and CEO of LMVH, a French multinational luxury goods conglomerate, which incorporates various well known brands such as Marc Jacobs, Sephora, Hennessy, Dior, Donna Karen, Céline and Bulgari. Her father is of French nationality but moved to New York when he divorced Jane's mother when she was two years old. He was forced to temporarily relocate to the states due to a custody order, but after it was worked out, he decided to purchase a permanent home in New York. Since then, he travels back to his company's Paris headquarters two or three times a month but does most of his business in Manhattan. Despite this, he never had enough time, or as Jane believed, desire, to invest his energy in her upbringing. Their relationship was always minimal. until she hit her teenage years and he was no longer able to ignore her bratty and rebellious attitude. From then on, it consisted of little more than yelling and screaming, and making empty threats to empty her bank account.

Home Life:
Adrian and Laura met when they were in their 20's. She was a student at Juliard in New York City, and he was visiting a cousin who happened to attend the school as well. They fell in love and after she graduated, she moved to France where they continued dating, and eventually eloped. They had been married for a few weeks when they intentionally conceived a child. They were young and in love and ready to start a family together and for the first few months, everything seemed wonderful. However, by the time Jane was born, it was apparent that they had moved too quickly. Adrian's work life was consuming him, Laura missed her family and life in the states, and neither were prepared to put their lives on hold to care for the baby. Their divorce was finalized when Jane was a year old and luckily, it was completely civil. They agreed that Jane would reside with Adrian on a regular basis, but Laura had visitation rights and it essentially worked as more of shared custody than anything.

In order to allow Laura regular contact with Jane, Adrian purchased a penthouse in New York where Jane was raised. Although it was her father's apartment, he wasn't the one there caring for the toddler day in and day out. Those duties were given to an assortment of nannies and caregivers who did everything from make her breakfast in the morning, to teaching her how to ride a bike. She never developed a close emotional relationship with her father and he tended to express his love through gifts. Jane would wake up in the morning and instead of being greeted by her father, she would find a new Tiffany bracelet waiting for her. It sounds great, and Jane would never complain about the gifts, but she did want to know her father.

A few weeks after she turned fifteen, she found out via text that her father had impulsively married a mediocre "aspiring actress", Nicole, who he had been dating for a few months during their trip to Italy. Jane wanted no part in the woman, despite her attempts to reach out and become involved in Jane's life. She was already comfortable with having no authoritative parents in her life and wasn't about to open up to some girl who was old enough to be her sister. After a few screaming matches with between the two, Nicole mostly gave up on trying to befriend Jane the two avoid each other more than anything now.

The biggest struggle that Jane has faced in her life is the eating disorder that she was diagnosed with at age fourteen. Looking back, she knows it's something that's been around since she was a child, but it started to become debilitating in her teen years. Her father was forced to acknowledge it when she fainted one day at school and was sent to a hospital to be examined. Since then, she has been forced to see a psychiatrist regularly. Things seemed to be okay for a few years, but last spring she took a turn for the worse and hit a dangerously low weight which her forced into the Timberline Knolls treatment facility in Illinois. At that point in her life, she probably would have ran away if she knew she was being sent there, so her father convinced her that they were going on a weekend trip to Chicago to force her to the center. It worked, but left Jane with no time to give any of her friends an explanation for why she would be falling off the face of the earth for the two months of summer.

Academic Career:
"School is hell on earth. Definitely not my favorite place to be."
Jane might be the perfect example of money equaling power, because it's apparent to nearly everyone who goes to Constance that there's no way she would have been admitted to the school if it wasn't for her family's money. She struggles to maintain a GPA over a 2.0 and seems to be on the brink of failing every class besides French. It's her father's native tongue and the fact that she's bilingual is probably the only strength she has academically when compared to her bright peers. She does not participate in any sports but reluctantly joined the French club upon Sydney's request.

Future Plans:
Jane doesn't want to go to college and probably will probably end up taking at least one year off after high school, but is being forced to apply to a few big-name schools just to appease her father. She is considering moving to LA next year and getting an apartment near her mother's house. Her biggest goal right now is to get healthy.

Personality:
Jane comes from wealth and isn't afraid to flaunt it. She fits the bill of your typical trust fund baby - the girl who has never had to work a day in her life and never will have to. She has daddy funding her credit card with a seemingly unlimited pile of money at the other end, and never hesitates to splurge on a new pair of Chanel boots that she just has to have. A lot of her friends also come from money, but few of their parents are worth the 37 billion dollars that her father is valued at. Although she is obsessed with having the newest and nicest everything, shopping has become more than just getting new things for Jane. It's therapeutic for her, a way to distract herself from any problems or stress going on in her life. Though it's helping in the short term, it's apparent that her reckless spending habits keep her distanced from the real world.

She can be shallow, often judging people based on their appearance and the little information that she's heard about them through gossip. While she probably would talk about them behind their back, she wouldn't normally bully or taunt anyone to their face. She claims that it's okay to be a bitch, but not to be mean and when it comes to gossip, she's more of a follower than the mastermind behind it. Although she doesn't mind contributing to the rumors circulating about other people, she does become very emotional when ones start spreading about her. She's sensitive to criticism and is usually the girl who ends up hysterically crying about a problems from months ago after a night of drinking. Her biggest insecurity is her weight. She has been diagnosed with an eating disorder and although she recognizes that she's statistically underweight, it doesn't change the way that she feels about her body.

As a child, Jane developed an obsession with Veruca Salt, a fictional character from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Although she knew that the way the girl acted wasn't pleasant or admirable, she envied that she was able to get whatever she wanted, like Jane did, but also had her father and her beck and call, which Jane didn't. In some ways, Jane mirrored Veruca's demanding and insolent ways and even now that she's no longer bratty in that way, she still expects to get her way in most situations and will never hesitate to complain if something isn't up to par.

Despite the flaws, Jane is loyal to her friends. She's affectionate, reliable and warm, but her impulsive and absentmindedness can sometimes get the best of her. When she's in a moment of gossiping and isn't thinking thoroughly, she's known to accidentally air her friend's secrets to other people, but now that there's a new Gossip Girl, she's working on keeping her mouth shut more.

In almost every area of her life, it's clear that Jane is impulsive. Whether it's buying thousands of dollars worth of clothes in one day or drinking herself into a blackout state, it's hard for her to control herself when she's in the mood to indulge in something. She can be reckless and make stupid choices, but her friends can all agree that she's always a fun person to have around. She's spontaneous, bold and energetic, always being up for a night out or an adventure.

ImageFace Claim:
Kendall Jenner

Build:
At 5'10 and 117 lbs, Jane is considerably thin and is medically underweight, though that is to be expected of someone under her circumstance. It's an increase from the 110 lbs she was a few months ago, which is something that she's unfortunately being forced to adjust to. Her height is one of her most noticeable traits and one of her least liked, since she feels like a giant compared to her friends whenever she wears heels. No matter how small or large she gets, she's come to terms with the fact that she will always be insecure about her figure.

Hair Color:
Brown, natural

Eye Color:
Brown

Other:
She only has her ears pierced once each, but simply because she's too scared of needles to go through with getting the second holes. Similarly, she has no tattoos at the moment and is only against getting one because she's scared of the needle.

So begins...

Carolina really had tried to be civil with Jane to show Nicole and Adrian how grateful she was for letting her stay in their home, but it was getting hard. Really hard. Carolina wasn't a stranger to being a wallflower. She preferred to watch drama go down from afar, where there was no chance at her being pulled in, than being in the middle of it. However, that didn't mean that she let people walk all over her. In her case, she just happened to hang around people whose priorities didn't include petty fights. This school year was certainly testing that though, and living in the same house as someone who was the epitome of a selfish bitch only made it worse. Carolina did not want to snap at Jane, and especially not in front of Charlotte who was already dealing with enough, so she took a deep breath before acknowledging what the brunette had just said. Maybe it wasn't what Jane had said, so much as to how she had said it. Carolina wasn't stupid enough to expect Jane to accept her as an equal, but at the same time, she wasn't going to settle with being spoken to as if she was part of the house staff. Jane had been dealt a good card in being born into wealth, but if it weren't for her father's money, she wouldn't be any better than Carolina. She wasn't smarter book wise or street wise, she wasn't kinder or more compassionate, and she sure as hell wasn't polite or welcoming. "If she's bothering you so much, you tell her to come back in here. Maybe she'll stay for dinner with you, too. My sister said she's going to bring home McDonald's. You like Big Macs, right?" Carolina knew that she was bordering on the realm of playing dirty, but she needed to shut Jane down before she got the idea that she could be walked all over. Besides, she really didn't know how serious Jane's eating disorder was and truly thought that she was just one of those girls who crash dieted to fit in.

She only now noticed that Sienna had texted her twice, and couldn't resist snickering at the first message. It was a nice distraction from the bitch who stood on the opposite side of the island, and she had half a mind to show it to Lottie. She only decided against it when she was reminded of how she wanted to avoid any involvement in drama, and she didn't need it getting back to Victoria that she was gossiping about her. Not because she was scared of Tori, but because it was just too petty and unnecessary for her tastes. When it was apparent that they weren't going to get any student government work done, Carolina carefully closed her laptop and shot Lottie an apologetic look. "Want to reschedule this for a time when our VP decides to actually participate?" She looked towards Jane again, and couldn't stop herself from turning to bitch mode again. It only seemed fair, since Jane hadn't made any attempts to turn her's off since Carrie first moved in. "Well, we're leaving for Long Island any minute, so hopefully for you, Tori does choose to stay. I know you're not a big eater." She gave Jane a long, closed-mouth smile before again turning to her phone.

"I know you can, but being prepared never hurts," Lottie returned her wink with a wink of her own and a chuckle. She grabbed her own computer out of her bag before setting it down on the counter and unlocking it. She only looked up when she heard Carolina speaking again. "I don't know, she should be on her way here," She slightly shrug before turning to her phone to see a message from Connor. She smiled smiled softly as she picked up her phone and started to respond back to him.

    To : Connor

You are seriously amazing! <3 I'll call you later tonight.

She was about to set her phone down, she looked back to Carolina. "Speaking of the devil, she's here now. Let me get her." Lottie just nodded before watching her walk away. She decided it was for the best to put her phone in her bag where no one could sneak a look at any messages she received. She may not have proof the Tori was up to something but, it didn't mean she was going to completely have her guard down around her. She brought her bright blue eyes back up towards the entrance as she heard footsteps just to see Tori and Carolina. She smiled and waved towards Tori. "Hey, Tori." She let the two seat down before going back to her computer to pull up her checklist for everything that needed to be done. Something she had gotten done between her stress out sessions the previous night.

"So, now that we're all here, shall we begin?"

"I'm surprised to see you here," Lottie bit her lip slightly and raised her eyebrow slightly as her eyes went from Tori to Carolina before going back to Tori right as she saved herself. "Pleasantly surprised, though." Lottie just cleared her throat before fixing a piece of hair behind her ear and chuckling to try and get rid of the awkwardness. "Well, thank you. 'Sides, the the best way to get my mind off my shocking 'love life', that was so shocking it even shocked me, is to get some work done, you know?" She chuckled again before turned back to Carolina. "So, as far as the tours and everything I was thinkin' it would be a cool idea to--.." Again, she heard footsteps and softly groaned in annoyance. She hated being interrupted and it only got worst when she saw it was Jane and Sydney. She smiled towards the two, but mostly Jane only to be completely overlooked by the queen bee herself as she started to talk to Victoria. "Tori, come hang out with Jane and I." She coughed softly in surprise as she looked at Victoria. She knew without a fact the girl was going to go, she would choose Sydney over her first born if she had to in all honesty.

"You girls don't mind, do you?" Lottie just shrugged. "I guess s--.." Before she could finish Tori was gone as was Jane and Sydney. Lottie sighed as she shook her head and turning towards Carolina with an awkward smile on her face. "She was the one who wanted to get together to plan these tours and now she bails? What the hell? Should I text her and tell her to come back?" Could Lottie just cut a break, she had enough stuff going on the last thing she needed was to go and scurry after Tori. In all honesty, Lottie and Carolina could do this on their own and be ready to go to Long Island in no time. "I mean, go get if you want. I kinda indifferent whether she's here or not, you know?" She asked as she raised an eyebrow before hearing her phone ring in her bag. She smiled towards Carolina before reaching for her phone and reading the name. She groaned as she eyeballed the name for a moment, deciding if she should text back and maybe add more fuel to the fire or not text him and let him get away with a smart ass comment about her being crazy about him. As if! But, she also didn't want to add fuel to the fire, what if he was behind it or he helped out someone get that picture? The last thing she needed was to have him show so text by her that seemed flirty when it really wasn't. She opened her phone, so it said she read it before replying, and reading another text from Sienna and leaving her phone on the counter seeing that Tori had left. But, she did grab the water bottle from her bag and put it on the counter.

    To : Barclay

    Barclay. Not the time.

When her eyes went back up she saw Jane rushing in and talk to Carolina, not even seeing the blonde. "Tell your weirdo friend to stay in here with you," She hid her smile in her hand before seeing Jane turn towards and softening her expression and Lottie offered a smile. I don't even know why she's in my house, but if she's part of your government thing, then keep her away from us." She raised an eyebrow as she took a sip of her water.

"If she's bothering you so much, you tell her to come back in here. Maybe she'll stay for dinner with you, too. My sister said she's going to bring home McDonald's. You like Big Macs, right? She coughed as she moved the bottle from her lips and covered her mouth. She didn't say a word as she kept her eyes on the two new sisters. She just kept her eyes in her computer as Carolina closed her computer and sent her a look. "Want to reschedule this for a time when our VP decides to actually participate?" She nodded with a small smile. "That's fine with me, I'm free most of this week." She saw her phone ringing as a picture of her and Rosie popped up on the screen. "One second ya'll, I think Rosie's here. I'll be right back." She excused herself from the two as she walked into the hallway. "Hey, I'm in the lobby."

"Okay, I'll get Carolina to let you up. Alright, bye." She hung up as she saw a text from Sienna. She read it and quickly sent a response, before she closed her phone she looked at the text from Brent and reread it, she also read her which actually was probably one of the harshest she had ever sent to him. And besides, did she really want to coward away from him just because of some stupid gossip? No, never. She would never let a sly remark get past like that! So, she decided to send another message.

    To : Sienna <3

Haha, no it's totally fine! The more the merrier, right? ^.^

    To : Barclay

And Brent, how many times do I have to tell you? Drug dealers aren't sexy to me and I have standards, so you know that rumor wasn't from me. Sorry to bust your bubble. :(

Ah. Everything was heading back on track, Sienna was being a good friend, Brent was being a pain in her ass, and her sister seemed to finally let the whole keeping a secret from her thing go. Even if the secret was a lie. She walked back into the kitchen with a smile on her face before clearing her throat. "'Scuse me guys, but can one of you let Rosie up from the lobby?" She asked, keeping the smile on her face, trying to lessen the tension.

Between Carolina's heartless taunts regarding her eating disorder and hearing from someone other than Sydney, that Sienna had invited people out to her Long Island house, Jane's face sported a very obvious scowl. Not only did she feel like Carolina was being mean for no reason (which wasn't exactly true), but she also felt like the way that the insults she were using weren't fair game. Her disorder was something that had been ignored for years and it was only when Nicole had come into the picture that she was forced to address it. In many ways, it was something to be thankful for, but at the same time, Nicole, and now Carolina, had used it as a tool to scare Jane into doing things. Nicole had turned it into the ultimate threat by convincing her father (with good reason) to send Jane away for the summer, but Carolina using it as a dig, especially in front of Charlotte, made Jane feel equally bad. She hadn't like Carolina before this, but she didn't think she would ever like her now. She wanted to tell her to fuck off but Jane was caught off guard by the low blow that she wasn't thinking as quickly as she wanted to. Luckily, Charlotte excused herself for a reason that Jane was too preoccupied to hear, and now, she pressed herself to the island that separated them. "Who do you think you are? I swear to God, I will make sure that you and your whore of a sister are back on the streets if you ever --"

"Shhh, don't threaten me, Jane." Carolina pressed a finger to her lip to show Jane that she needed to silence herself. She didn't mind that she was addressing Jane as if she were a child, because that was all she was. A spoiled little brat who started kicking and screaming when she didn't get her way and Carolina would be damned if she let that scare her. She would have been able to deal with that, had Jane not tried to act big and bad in the process. Maybe what she had said about the McDonald's was unnecessary, but Jane had started this little war days ago and this was really the first time that Carolina had stood up for herself. She couldn't help it if maybe all of those little digs that Jane had sent her way were pushing her to react now. "I promise that you're the only person who'll suffer from doing that." Maybe Jane was trying to take a page from Sydney in an attempt to be intimidating but it worked even less coming from Jane than it would have from the blonde. With Charlotte only a room away, and Sydney and Tori lingering elsewhere, Carolina decided that it was best not to really get into it with Jane here. Not only was she not trying to make a scene, but she didn't feel like having to explain to her sister why her fist forced Jane into the hospital.

Jane was reeling, trying to formulate some retort that would be cold enough to shut Carolina down, but it didn't come to her by the time that Rosie reentered. She informed them that Rosie was there, and Jane was quick to respond. "Of course I'll let her up, Lottie!" she volunteered, darting towards the kitchen's intercom box. She quickly gave Rosie access to the apartment and then spun back around to look at Carolina. "Do you even know how to use one of these? I mean, it's not like you needed one wherever you used to live. No one's going to try to break into an apartment building in the projects, right? Like, it's you people who try to break into our buildings." To stress that this was her house, and to also avoid furthering the dispute with Carolina, she spun around as soon as the words had left her mouth to wait for Rosie in the foyer.

Jane was gone before Carolina could respond, and it was probably for the best. She didn't appreciate Jane acting like she knew anything about her upbringing, especially when she spoke about it so ignorantly. Carolina certainly had not grown up in a home like this but she was not brought up in the projects, and Jane's ignorance regarding her own words rubbed her the wrong way. The same probably could have been said about her regarding her eating disorder comments, but Carolina was still set on the idea that Jane had started this petty feud and she was only responding to defend herself. "Sorry that you have to deal with this," Carolina rolled her eyes, though trying to be sincere with Charlotte. She was sure that the blonde had experienced more of Jane's antics than she had, but still, with their new relationship, it felt necessary to apologize on Jane's behalf. "Sia's on her way, thank god. Is Rosie coming out with us?"

It was probably time to return to Sydney but Jane had no desire to spend an afternoon with Victoria Walsh. She didn't know how to get rid of her, since Sydney apparently wanted her around and neither Carolina nor Charlotte seemed like they were willing to tell her to go away either. The only option left was Rosie, who Jane impatiently waited to arrive in the elevator. Rosie was just as pretty as Charlotte, but in Jane's mind, ten times more fun and ten times more bitchy. She wasn't exactly a bitch, but she definitely wasn't as nice as Charlotte and Jane would never describe Rose as being a pushover like she would Charlotte. As she waited for Rose, she searched through the texts she had received over the last few minutes and Piper's stood out more than any of the others. Jane was feeling even more feverish than earlier so it was impossible for her to resist replying with that same irrational influence.

To: Piper
omfg she's having a big party on long island tonight and she invited charlotte and carolina.... yes CAROLINA.... and not any of us? you know that's rude pipe!

and i need you to bring me the ones that he gave you. he must've given me a really low dose bc i can tell mine are def not working at all

Jane, of course, was unaware that Sienna had also invited Piper out to her house, and though no one had ever suggested that Sienna was having a party, it was in Jane's nature to exaggerate it. It wouldn't make much sense for her to be offended if she believed that Sienna really was just having a few girls over to console Charlotte over the rumor. If she spun it into Sienna hosting a party to establish herself in a new group of friends, and purposely not inviting Jane or Sydney, or with her knowledge, Piper, it made it easier to believe Sydney's accusation regarding Sia. Jane didn't necessarily want to believe that, though. Sienna had become just as good of a friend to her as Sydney and in the same way that Sydney betraying or disrespecting her had never been enough to turn Jane against her, the same could be said for Sienna. Jane was too reliant on her friends emotionally and physically to actually cut anyone out on her own. With Sydney in her ear though, it was proving to be easier than she wanted.

The elevator door opened soon after she sent the text and Jane barely gave Rose a moment to step out of the elevator car before bombarding her with a hug and words. "Hey girly! Okay, I know you're here for that government stuff your sister does, or whatever, and I know you guys are leaving to go to Sienna's party soon, but before you go, you have to tell Victoria to leave too. Sydney and I are trying to have a peaceful night and like, I don't like her and I don't want her in my house but obviously Sydney's going to get mad if I tell Tori to get out when she said she could stay. So, will you make Lottie get rid of her for me? Pleaseeeeeee?"

Piper just ordered a caramel iced latte when her phone buzzed. Paying the barista, she walked out to the car and smiled as she slid in. "Hello!" The model greeted happily as she shut the door behind her. As Sienna informed her of their plans for the night, she felt her phone vibrate again. She ignored it for now though. Seeing as Sienna and Charlotte were pretty close, surely the recent scandal with Constance class president meant an emergency meeting for the two girls. Piper didn't mind though. Charlotte wasn't going to interrupt her plans anyway. "A girls night. Sounds like fun. I'm sure Charlotte could use it." Piper finally decided to check her phone, and her mouth hung open. Jane really couldn't make things any worse could she?

This gave her an idea. Deleting the second text about the pills, so Sienna couldn't see it, she put the phone up to the singer's face. "Looks like Jane is feeling left out. Can you believe her? She knows we don't like Sydney like that, and yet she gets mad when we go off and have fun of our own." This was just the text Piper needed to incriminate Jane.

It didn't take long for Sienna to be distracted from the inquiry she had just tossed Piper's way. After the redhead confirmed she was down for a girl's night, they had both looked to their phones for the latest text messages. Sienna ended up smirking at Vincent's response, feeling a bit more ease knowing that he had probably just forgotten to reply to her earlier. With everything that happened thus far, the last thing she needed was something else geared to put them at odds with one another. Before she could type out a witty retort, Piper's phone was in her face and the model was speaking about Jane.

And Sienna didn't even try to hide her irritation. "I'm done," she declared, tossing her phone down on the seat beside her and folding her arms over her chest, legs still crossed demurely. But her head shook side-to-side in disbelief and she could feel her own little temper tantrum waiting to happen. "I am fucking done with her right now! Who the fuck said I was throwing a party? And why the fuck does it even matter to her? She's so stuck up under that bitch that she can't even think clearly right now! I mean, like always, something goes down with me and Syd, she's by Sydney's side NO MATTER WHAT, but I'm the bad guy here? Unbe-fucking-lieveable!" Sienna still shook her head in anger and hurt, body wracked with the tremors of the emotions she could barely keep to herself. And here she thought she would go upstairs to the Lynch's home and at least talk to Jane, try to reason with her. Sienna didn't even want to see her at this point!

Piper was going to respond about the college invite, but between the text from Jane, and Sienna starting to yell she honestly forgot just that fast. This was the exact reaction she was hoping for too. With Jane now on Sienna's bad side as well, this gave her a huge opening. She looked at Sienna apologetically as she put her phone back into her purse. "Look, I'm sorry that all of this is happening to you." From an outsiders perspective this did seem like a lot of drama to happen in such a short time span, but this was just the life of an Upper East Sider.

"I'm sure in time Jane will come to her senses and realize that sticking to Sydney like that. We'll just chalk it up to the folly of youth." Piper placed her hand comfortingly on Sienna's shoulder and gave her a gentle squeeze. "How about this, we just tell Carolina to come down? You're too emotional to see Jane and Sydney right now. I don't want anything dramatic to happen."

The gentle lilt in Piper's voice as the redhead attempted to console her did nothing to appease the storm brewing in Sienna's core, and she ran a weary hand through her hair, unraveling whatever wavy style she had implemented into her honey-hued locks but she was too frustrated to care anymore. Instead of immediately answering her friend, Sienna turned her gaze to the window, unwanted tears hot and stinging at the back of her eyes.

She couldn't even help the scoff of disbelief that erupted from her throat at Piper's optimism. Of course, Jane wouldn't realize anything. She never did. Sienna and Sydney fought, Jane would stick with Sydney all the while begging Sienna to just make up with her already, and then Sienna would eventually have to be the one to cave because she hated seeing Jane upset. It was their unending cycle and at this point, after having solidified with Sydney herself that they couldn't just make up that fast anymore (and Sienna simply not wanting to), she couldn't do it. She couldn't sacrifice her own comfort and sanity for Jane's sake. Not this time. She was too emotionally tired in that group after such an outcome and for once, she just needed some understanding on the heiress' part. However, like always, she would come second on Jane's totem pole and damn it all, Sienna wanted to be selfish and be somebody's first.

Instead of saying anything about Jane's coming to any type of realization, Sienna addressed the latter portion of Piper's address, offering the redhead a shaky smile. "You're right, that's probably for the best," she stated, combing her hair back from her face idly before picking up her phone to send out a few texts. "Text Carrie to be downstairs soon. We're just around the corner and I'll tell Lottie not to let Rosie get too comfortable up there, if she's there." Immediately afterwards, Sienna set to texting Jane, Vincent, and Charlotte. After all, old habits died hard and Sienna, while frustrated and growing less tolerant by the second, had never stayed too mad at Jane for long.

To: Jane
J, I'm not trying to be rude. I'm tired of making up with Sydney so fast when we're obviously not over whatever we're not over with. It's pointless and you want us to be friends again, right? Well, that's gonna take time. So, for now, I'm not coming for spa night or a sleepover. I'm doing a girl night with Lottie cuz I know she needs one and invited a few friends I know that would make her feel better. I wanted 2 invite u, but ur with Syd & Lottie barely likes her. You know that, I know that, and I'm not talking to Syd either.

To: Vince
Don't worry. I kno the perfect way 2 make it up 2 u

To: Lottie
Pipe's texting Carrie now. We're around the corner, so just come down. I can't see Jane rite now

Piper decided to just let Sienna simmer for a bit, but she did take this chance to pull out her phone once more to text Carolina. She might as well text Jane back as well.

To: Carolina
Hey we are almost there! Head down if you're coming, which I hope you are :)

To: Jane
I haven't heard anything about a party Jane, but who told you that? Also I'm sure he just gave you the wrong dosage or something. We'll see him again at my party probably. You better not tell Sydney about this!

Rosie was on her phone, scrolling through her social media as she walked into the elevator and even in the elevator she only looked away from her screen to look at the doors for a moment as they closed before they started to go up. She groaned as she went up and down her Twitter and Facebook. All she could see was Charlotte this and Charlotte that. She loved her sister to death, she was her best friend but, dear god could people not get over the fact that maybe Charlotte Buchanan was dating Brent Barclay? It was as if they didn't care about the part of her giving him money, all they cared about was the part about Charlotte dating the local drug dealer and the picture that went along with the post. Which she had to admit was a pretty fantastic photo to look like they were going to kiss. Hell, she even thought they were going to before she saw the look on her twin's face before pulling her away to the event. She hummed to the elevator music before seeing the doors open and looking up to see Jane.

Before she could even say 'hi' to the girl, Jane had pull her into a hug. It caught the blonde off guard as she staggered back on her heels for a moment before putting her arms around her and listening to Jane start talking.

The whole time Jane spoke, Rose had a smirk on her face and couldn't help herself from laughing at the last part and trying to cover her laughter with her hand before calming herself down a bit to speak. "Janie, two thangs," She said as she put up two fingers and she spoke with her super thick Southern accent which compared to Charlotte made Lottie just as Northern and high class as Sydney and Jane combined! "First, there ain't no party goin' on up there. We're goin' up there to get Lottie's mind off the whole dating Brent bullshit story. Secondly; you expect me to make Charlotte, Little Miss. 'I can do no wrong', Sweet-As-A-Suga'-Cube, Barbie doll lookin', curve havin', Charlotte Buchanan get rid of someone a.k.a kick someone out of your house. She chuckled as she raised an eyebrow, shook her head, and looked down at Jane. "Oh, that's funny." She said through her smile. "Lottie's not about to get anyone out of anywhere. 'Sides, Tori hates Lottie, so she wouldn't leave anyway. I don't see why you can't just do it yourself. Fuck what Sydney thinks, it's your house or get Carolina to do it."

"It doesn't matter, she still didn't invite me so obviously she's not being a good friend to me either way," Jane decided. Rosie's counter claim that they were just leaving the city to distract Charlotte started to seem possible but Jane couldn't accept the idea of not being invited to something, even when it didn't involve her in the slightest. The fact that Carolina had been invited over her, even when it made complete sense, offended her even further. Rosie's next assertion that there was no way someone as sweet as Charlotte would kick Tori out made sense to, but Jane was equally as unready to accept that. If Tori hated Charlotte, than what harm could come of Charlotte being nasty back? Jane was clearly underestimating Tori's vengeful tendencies, but she thought that Charlotte had far less to lose than she did. There was no way that Sydney would stand for her kicking Victoria out minutes after she had just invited her to stay.

It made no sense that Jane allowed Sydney to have that much control, especially in her own house, but Jane was used to that by now. She usually trusted that Sydney had her best interest in mind and since childhood, had accepted that Sydney would always be the decision maker in their group. That probably went hand in hand with her unrealistic expectations for Piper and Sienna to just let Sydney walk all over them like she allowed, but at moments like this, there was a glimmer of understanding of their perspectives. It didn't stop her from wanting to go against Sydney, but she still couldn't do it herself. "And you know it's not that easy, Rose! First of all, Carolina is less welcome here than Tori is. She's actually going to be added to the list of people who are never allowed in my house again after today, so you need to do it. We all know you're the sassy one anyway." Jane tried to use a serious voice in hopes that it would sway Rosie her way, but it was hard when she knew that what Rosie said was true. It didn't make sense for anyone to tell Victoria to leave besides her, and regardless of who said it, someone was going to end up on Sydney's bad side. Jane didn't consider that Sydney needed her more as a friend now than she needed her and though she wouldn't say it directly, she was scared of pissing Sydney off today.

Before she could say any more to Rosie, her phone alerted her to text messages that Sienna and Piper sent her. She considered continuing her impulsive streak and sending Sienna a message about how it was mean to not even try inviting her and how unfair it was for her to stop being friends with her just because she was in a fight with Sydney. However, she heard footsteps around the corner and just as her attention shifted as she prepared to tell off the innocent housekeeper that she expected to be headed her way. Instead, it was Victoria, and in an instant, Jane spun around with a worried look on her face. "It's her!" She hissed, grabbing Rosie's hand as she pushed her back, closer to the closed elevator door. "What do I do? Should I say something?! I can't believe Sienna and Piper just wouldn't come over! It's their fault that I even have to deal with this!"

Rosie groaned softly as she grabbed Jane by the shoulders and shook her a bit. "Jane, piece of advice? Get it together! It's your house not Sydney's." She said soft enough where Tori wouldn't be able to hear her. The blonde looked her in the eye as she started the pep talk Jane. "You want her gone? Say something, wanna be a little follower and play second best to Victoria for the rest of the night then by all means. Don't say a work either way--.." Before Rose could finish, Charlotte appear with a small smile as she cleared her throat.

"There y'all are." Rosie said as she turned to her sister. "Yup, what's up." Rose asked before Lottie started to use sign language towards her. "Sienna's here but, wants us to come down instead of her coming up here." Rosie kept her eyes as she nodded. She knew Lottie would be too sweet to just outright say that they were leaving. Rose nodded as she turned back to Jane with a smile and wink. "You got this. Just think, what would Rosie do?" Rose smirked as Lottie rolled her eyes. "You're so lame." The two twins walked off just as Tori walked past them towards Jane's direction. Still speaking sign language, Lottie raised an eyebrow as she did so. "What would Rosie do, really? What was that about? Rosie just shrugged as she signed back. "I'll tell you later."

Jane was now left to her own devices. Although she considered just going with the flow and allowing Victoria to ruin her day, what Rosie said resonated with her and she was quickly growing more uneasy. The feeling certainly influenced her responses to Sienna and Piper, who she texted before stepping into the hallway and catching up with Tori.

To: Sienna
call me later pleasee

To: Piper
i need them tonight piper! tell him to drop them off at your place and i'll pick them up from there! and i obv won't tell sydney but you can't tell sienna either since you're bffs with her now??

"Um, Tori?" Jane called out, speeding up to step in front of Victoria. In a matter of two seconds, she went from agreeing that Rosie was right, to considering backing out, and then to reassuring herself that this was her house and what she said went. Still, she couldn't be as upfront about it as she was sure Rose could have done. Jane definitely possessed bratty tendencies and could be less than nice when needed, but that courage tended to fade when she was faced with real face-to-face confrontations. "I really don't feel well so like... I think I have to reschedule the spa day for some other time." A.K.A. never! "I just don't want to get you guys sick... you can tell Sydney if you want." It was already difficult enough for her to kick Tori out with an excuse, so it would have been impossible for her to actually be direct about just not wanting her there. She couldn't think of a way to do it without making Sydney leave too, though she doubted the blonde would leave as willingly as Tori. That didn't stop Jane from leaving Tori in the hallway only seconds after speaking and seeking refuge in her room with the door locked behind her. She knew that it was still cowardly to not confront Sydney about why she would ask Victoria to stay and how uncomfortable it made her, but Jane was confused about everyone's intentions. Sydney had already made her feel uneasy enough about Sienna and she didn't want to hear any more accusations to confuse her about who to trust any further. Plus, she figured that if she did manage to get rid of both of them, maybe she would be able to pick up the drugs from Piper.

Piper's text couldn't have come at a better time. Between the altercation with Jane, Victoria's vibes in general today, and having Sydney in the same house as her, Carolina was more than ready to leave the state. Sienna's Long Island house would suffice, though, especially since she was only going to be surrounded by people she liked. When it came to Sienna, it felt like drama was inevitable and Carolina had come to terms with the dramatic tendencies being part of her friend's personality, but she doubted there would be much excitement tonight. Rosie always had an edge to her (which Carolina appreciated and could get a laugh out of), but Charlotte was the nicest girl she knew, Piper was good when she wasn't surrounded by the popular crowd, and Carolina assumed that Sienna had had enough drama since school started to last a lifetime. She had never been to Sienna's second home but if her family's New York apartment said anything, it was sure to be gorgeous.

"It looks like they're here. I'll go get my things and meet you down there, okay?" Carolina said to Charlotte. Following the blonde's confirmation, she grabbed her laptop from the counter and sped upstairs to her bedroom. Luckily, she had chosen a different hallway than the only populated by Jane and Victoria and only passed by the room that Sydney was being pampered in. Before today, the only bad feelings that Carolina had for Sydney seemed petty and unfair. They were all based off of rumors regarding the blonde and how cold she could be. Never once had Sydney acknowledged her, but Carolina never complained about that because it meant that she was never bullying her. Sydney had no reason to be her friend and for the most part, Carolina didn't want to be her friend anyway. Their conversation in Jane's room had been short, probably due to Carolina's curtness, but even there, she had no reason to truly dislike Sydney. Sure, her invitation to hang out with her and Jane seemed to be superficial or based on ulterior motives, but there was no real proof behind that. Even the bad feelings that had arose after Sydney "stole" Victoria from them didn't seem to justify the distaste that Carolina had developed for the queen bee. Still, they were there, and Carolina was thankful that she wasn't forced to converse with her again.

She moved quickly in her new bedroom, tossing a few things into her bag before sending her sister a quick text message explaining where she was going. On her way to the elevator, she again was granted with the luck of not running into anyone, and she was soon out of the hotel lobby and hurrying towards Sienna's town car. Rosie and Charlotte had beaten her down there, and she greeted them all with a small smile. "Hey chicas," she said, mostly to Piper and Sienna who she hadn't seen after classes ended. "So, what's the plan for tonight?" Carolina was definitely low-maintenance and wasn't expecting anything big. In fact, she was kind of hoping it would be the simple girl's night that she expected it to be. However, Sienna was the girl who always had something interesting planned so Carolina was interested in hearing if there was anything specific on the agenda. She wanted to continue and ask Piper how Thomas was feeling after his run-in with trouble, but she wasn't sure how specific Piper was with her friend's about her situation. Carolina knew that she wasn't exactly honest about where she was living or what her family situation was like, but she understood that. Carolina was always comfortable with the fact that she was not being raised by her birth family, but that was because her foster family had become the realest family she could have, and more so, that she didn't care to fit into the typical Constance Billard profile. She didn't have a lot of money and doubted that she ever would, so she wasn't going to pretend she did.

As they waited for the girls to come downstairs, Sienna busied herself with texting one of her mentors. The older woman was not privy to texting Sienna everyday and it was the same vice versa, but it was during her more stressful days that she did seek that comfort and contact. It was just a bit rude, being so enraptured by her phone when there was someone beside her whom she could speak with, but Sienna needed the advice of someone older and the woman on the phone was someone she had trusted since she was thirteen. It was in the middle of speaking about a business endeavor that the car door was opened and the Buchanan siblings entered. Sienna glanced up with a bright smile and exclaimed, "Lottie!" Of course, she was happy to see Rose as well, but it was no secret which sibling she was closest to and Sienna reached over to hug Charlotte first, and then Rose. Besides, with all that had been occurring recently and despite Piper's comfort and support, Charlotte's had been unending for the last few years and Sienna would always consider her a closer friend. She did manage a greeting to Rose as well, "Hey, supermodel." It was a bit puzzling that Carolina wasn't with them, but Sienna didn't question it and opted to wait a few more minutes for the last girl to arrive. In that short time, she also text Jane and Tori.

To: Jane
Ok

To: Tori
Ok, look, you've had your fun. It's not getting Charlotte impeached any time soon and you know it. So, put that post down before you give that girl an aneurism. Enough is enough. I'm only going to ask one more time.

Soon enough, she was there and Sienna ended her phone conversation with the promise of discussing the situation more once she had time. If she was really doing an endorsement with House of Dereon for her Reign campaign, then it was important to get everything worked out now so that she could start doing the photo shoots and such for it once the EP was finished. She now had one more song to finish, and she had to shoot the last bit of the video on Saturday so that they could edit and release it by next Friday. It was a lot, but Sienna worked best under pressure anyway. Smiling at Carolina's greeting, Sienna tucked her phone away, but not before requesting that her driver attempt to get to her house in fifteen minutes instead of the typical thirty. It was a difficult feat to carry through with, but damn it all, she wanted to get home. Running a hand through her hair, Sienna's thoughts and attention returned to the girls and she shrugged a bit before grinning, "Well, it won't be as grand as a spa day, though we can do that before Pipe's party. I can cover it. Tonight, though, I thought you guys could try on some dresses in my mom's vault, we do homework, dinner and then have an actual girl's night. Nothing too grand, just movies, junk food, you know, something normal." Yes, Sienna - who hated appearing boring and always had a plan and was always over the top - wanted something normal and low-key. After all that happened, she felt like she earned it. They all did. "I mean, I'm always down for shooting our own music video complete with a pillow fight, but that's all up to you guys.". She then turned to Charlotte. "What do you think, Madam President?"

It didn't take Ricardo too long to get his driver and the car on the road. Rick was still trying to figure out exactly what he planned to do with the guys, but it was going to be something great. He knew he could get invited, no problem at all, to the top exclusive clubs in New York. It was a matter of getting his guys to agree to it. Vincent would come, no doubt. The promise of Provocateur's elite models would lure the lust-ridden jock to Rick's side, no doubt. It was Connor he knew that would take some convincing. Since the class president decided to go MIA for the last few days and then still remain sporadic, it was hard to keep tabs on him. More than that, Connor was the type to do homework first and while that was important (to a lesser degree), Rick wanted him out and about and he wasn't taking no for an answer. After all, if the idiot didn't want to see that supermodel-level-sexy Charlotte had a thing for him whereas Sydney did not, then at least he could find a hook up while they were out.

A few minutes later and Ricardo was scooping up Vincent, looking up from his phone after sending a few text messages to friends. Smirking at Vincent, he said, "Provocateur's doing a Burlesque theme tonight, I hear. Thought we'd have a guy's night since you've got bae problems and Connor is the next Houdini with his disappearing acts. Plus, I'm bored." He snickered at the thought of Vincent's issues, though for once, he didn't care enough to pry. They could do that later. For now, Rick wanted to hang out with his favorite guys from St. Jude's. While he had had his new crew in California, there was something refreshing about being back with people that he actually liked and regardless of how people saw his relationship with Vincent, he did consider the guy a best friend of sorts. Connor too.

To: Connor
Coming 2 get u. U better b ready or I swear I'll have the master of prank 4 ur ass

To: Connor
No jokes, dude

To: Sienna
I'm gonna assume u have ur plans. Care 2 include me?

To: Charlotte
Now, Buchanan, I'm a lil hurt. All this time I've been trying 2 win ur heart & its already taken?? Why, I never!

To: Charlotte

Only a couple of minutes had passed since Victoria left, but Sydney was already growing impatient. Most of it was probably caused by Jane though, who had detached from the group earlier to get a drink. What should have taken her a minute had taken ten and Sydney didn't like waiting. Just as much as she didn't like that, she didn't like feeling like Jane was continuing to try to deceive her. Just because of the revelation over the summer, she had to assume that it had to do with Jane's weight. As far as Sydney knew, it was the only thing that Jane had managed to keep a secret from her. Sydney still hated herself for not noticing sooner, and maybe more so, for letting Sienna find out first, even if it was only through Jane's mom. Now that she knew what had been going on, she felt like all of the signs were there, but in reality, Jane had done a good job at keeping it a secret. In one way or another, all of the girls they hung out with were concerned about their appearance in one way or another so hearing Jane excuse herself from a meal because she was trying some new diet was nothing that would necessarily raise speculation. Even when the excuses turned into Jane simply disappearing to skip out on lunch dates or dinner parties, Sydney didn't notice anything. She was too caught up in herself, she supposed, but at the same time, Jane had also clearly channeled a lot of energy into keeping it that way. Now that Sydney was informed of the issue, she vowed not to let anything pass her by further. Especially being on a mission to make it clear to Jane that she was her only real friend, she had to make it clear that she did care about her. Because she did. Sydney could be sly and selfish, but at the end of the day, Jane was like a sister to her. Sydney's own needs sometimes came first, but she loved Jane.

This afternoon was going to be one of those occasions where Sydney's own wants came before Jane's, because despite noticing her friend's discomfort at the idea of being with Tori, Sydney was insistent that she join them. It seemed impossible for her to relax knowing that both of the girls were taking so long, so she paused her massage, sat her drink down and headed into the hallway, barefooted and clad only in her white robe. The kitchen was now empty but up the hall she found Tori standing alone with her phone in hand. "Didn't I tell you to go to Jane's room and get a robe?" she inquired, her voice sickly sweet as she eyed the girl. "We don't have all day, Tori. We have an appointment at Barney's later on and our drinks are getting warm."

Victoria was caught off guard when Jane emerged from a connecting hallway and hurried up behind her. She wasn't eager to play nice with Jane because Jane had no purpose, but she also couldn't be disrespectful with Sydney near by. It would only fit Jane's role to go crying back to Sydney if Tori said something offensive, and she didn't want Sydney questioning her fit in the group. However, when Jane basically told her to leave, Tori didn't think she could accept that either. This was one of the first times in at least ten years that Sydney Vale had not only acknowledged her existence, but showed any type of interest in her. There was no way that she was going to let idiotic Jane Lynch ruin that for her. Still, what was she supposed to say? Victoria had more confidence than she needed behind a computer screen but in real life, her anxiety tugged at her core. "Oh, okay...", was all that she mustered before Jane turned away and hurried out of sight. Victoria was ready to turn around and share the news with Sydney, of course with her own twist to guilt Sydney into continuing the spa day without Jane, when she got a text from Sienna.

To: Sienna
Idk what you're talking about but of course I'll do anything to help Charlotte out <3 She's the lady in charge, right :)? But omg, I just heard the craziest thing! You're friends with Jane, right? Well, apparently she's been abusing drugs to lose weight! How crazy! I'm sure it's just a rumor, but I hope the info doesn't get into the wrong hands :(.

Victoria knew better than to acknowledge writing the post in text because all it would take was a screenshot for her anonymity to be compromised. Her tone of voice in the text was certainly laced with sarcastic concern and Sienna would understand that, but Victoria couldn't incriminate herself so blatantly. With the way that Jane was ruining her afternoon with Sydney, Victoria considered just posting the information without giving Sienna a chance to respond, but she stopped herself from being impulsive. Jane's post was going to be a truth and whenever the information she had was truthful and not lies, she knew it was important to play her cards carefully. Instead, though, she signed into the account linked to her gossip pages and deleted the post about Charlotte.

To: Sienna
I contacted a few people and I think Charlotte should be good now :). God, don't you just hate drama?

Even if she wanted to text Sienna further to taunt her, she couldn't because from behind, Sydney's voice rang out and Victoria literally jumped in surprise. She clutched her chest as her heart beat surged and quickly secured her phone in her pocket. "I know, I was just on my way up there but Jane told me that she's sick or something, and that she doesn't want to hang out with anyone anymore. I don't know what's wrong, but she was holding her stomach. Maybe she ate too much." Victoria did her best to sound sympathetic and concerned, despite using her new knowledge on Jane against her. To her, it didn't seem wrong. It seemed well deserved and fair, after all of these years of being snubbed for absolutely no reason.

Sydney's eyebrows shot up at Victoria's reasoning and Sydney was back to thinking about Jane's secrecy. She and Sienna had done some research after Jane's illness was revealed but as far as she knew, Jane wasn't bulimic. She wasn't going to eat and then purge, she just wasn't going to eat at all. At this point, Sydney wasn't going to put it past her though, and Victoria's suggestion had her believing that was exactly what Jane was up to. It was either that, or she hadn't eaten anything all day and was going to faint but didn't want anyone around to witness it. Part of her wanted to text Sienna and confide in her about how this was clearly going to be something that they really needed to address, but then she remembered where she stood with the singer. "I'll deal with it," she said to Tori, holding back from rolling her eyes. Tori was a follower but today, she was bothering her less than Jane and that said something. She said nothing more to Tori but shooed her back down the hall with her hand. When Victoria rounded a corner and was out of sight, she caught the eye of a housekeeper passing by with a basket of laundry in her arms. "Bring a robe down to the spa room for Victoria, and juice and pretzels or some type of food to Jane's room. The latter first." she said, her voice becoming sharp once Tori was gone. All that Sydney had wanted was a relaxing spa day, but that seemed like a fantasy dream at this point. When she departed from the woman and minutes later, got to Jane's room, she could barely hold back her frustration when the bedroom door was locked. She considered finding another housekeeper and demanding that they bring her the key, but tried to give Jane a chance to make this easy. She knocked on the door loudly before speaking. "Open up, Jane. It's me."

Jane barely had time to slip out of her robe and into a pair of pajama pants and tank top before there was a knock at the door. Though she was startled by the noise, it was no surprise that it was Sydney on the other end. Jane had a reputation for being an airhead but she was well aware that disappearing from a spa day at her own house was going to warrant some type of negative reaction from the matriarch of the friend group. Though Jane had no desire to see or speak with Sydney, not answering wasn't even an option. Like herself, she knew that Sydney wasn't the type of person to settle with not getting what she wanted and so with a roll of her eyes and an internal groan (which she only felt safe doing behind the closed door), she got up from her bed and pulled the once-locked door open. "I don't feel well. Can you please take Tori to your house and we can do something tomorrow?" She remained in the space between the cracked door and her wall, hoping that by not allowing Sydney entry, the conversation would end faster.

"No, I cannot take Tori to my house. What's wrong with you?" Sydney demanded, pushing the door until there was enough space to get past her friend. She wanted to be gentle with Jane now because she knew that she had been fairly insensitive over the past few days, but it was hard. Part of Sydney wished that she had never found out about Jane's illness because then there was no guilt involved with not acknowledging it or having to worry about her. "And do not insult me by giving me your lame excuses, Jane. You have to talk to me about what's going on with you. We're supposed to be best friends and it's really not fair for you to leave me in the dark about something like this." Guilting Jane into sharing her problems definitely wasn't the best way to go about it, but again, Sydney struggled with how to address other people's problems. She was so used to being completely about herself, and having someone who she truly cared about dealing with an issue so major left her feeling uneasy and uncomfortable. Over the summer, it had been comforting knowing that Sienna was in this with her, but now she was on her own and arguably being the least compassionate friend, it was a difficult situation for her.

Jane gave up trying to keep Sydney out of her room when the blonde pushed on the door. It would have been pointless with Sydney being as determined as she was. However, Jane was less receptive to the idea of talking to her than she was to letting her in. With most issues, Jane was an open book. She was dramatic and emotional and holding back her feelings and thoughts wasn't something that she liked nor was good at. This was a whole different type of problem though, and it was something that she didn't want anyone's advice or concern involved in. It wasn't so much that she didn't trust her friends with keeping it a secret, as it was that she didn't trust them from trying to intervene. That spoke to her level of sickness, but even a summer in recovery couldn't keep her from thinking that asking for help was only going to be a bad idea. She didn't want people monitoring her because it would only lead to more problems when she started gaining too much weight and decided that she needed to drop a few pounds. She reassured herself that appearing secretive and shady was worth remaining in control of her body. "I just don't feel good. I'm tired and my head hurts and I have a lot of work to do now that Caroline isn't going to be here to help me. It's not an excuse, I just really don't feel like socializing right now, okay?" She wandered past Sydney and re-situated herself on her bed as a show that she wasn't leaving.

"I'll help you with the school stuff, food's being brought up to fix your headache, and spa days don't have to be for socializing, Jane. Today's will just be about cosmos, and manicures, and back massages. If you don't want to socialize, we won't, but I really don't think it's right to just kick Victoria out. You know the anniversary of her mom's death is next week and it's not like she has any real friends. Let's be nice." Sydney smiled at Jane, hoping to provoke some sort of positive emotion in her despite getting to the point about her not feeling well being related to her not eating. As if on cue, there was a knock on the door and the same woman Sydney had ordered to fetch food stood there with a tray of what was requested. Sydney greeted her with a smile and retrieved the tray before shutting the door again. "See? There's no reason why tonight can't be fun. We'll have a better time than Sienna and all of her new 'friends'."

The only part of Sydney's offer that Jane was willing to accept was the part regarding her school assignments. As bad as it sounded, she didn't really care about Victoria's sad backstory. Anyone losing a parent was sad, but Jane wasn't her friend and she didn't even want to be civil with her. She was detached from Tori's life enough that she didn't care to be sympathetic or compassionate around a time that was probably already emotionally trying on the girl. She knew that she needed to eat soon, but she wanted that to be after everyone had left and for the meal to be something of her choice. She would prepare it or watch it be prepared and know exactly how many calories were included. Though her summer in the rehabilitation facility had helped her quite a bit, she was slowly morphing back into the state where she was paranoid that people were trying to betray her. That her meals would somehow be laced with loads of extra sugar or butter or substance that would magically make her gain ten pounds. She was well aware that it was illogical but there were times when she wanted to believe it enough where she could convince herself it was plausible. Seeing a bowl full of carbs and sugar walk through the door had her going from tired and upset, to a state of panic. She didn't want to prove Sydney right and make it appear that she was actually sick though. Jane frantically tried to search for some excuse to get out of needing to eat something, but she fell short and could only come up with, "I guess you're right. You can go tell Tori that I'll be out in a few minutes if you want." She hoped Sydney would agree so that she could dispose of the snacks as quickly and discretely as possible. She shifted back on her bed as she waited and hoped that Sydney would leave, and managed to get in another quick text to Piper.

To: Piper
okay????????????????????

Piper saw she received another annoying text from Jane and she couldn't help but roll her eyes. Honestly the girl wasn't even fat or close to it. Why was it such a big deal to her? Even if it was a hassle she better just go ahead and respond to Jane now. otherwise when she sees her at school then she won't hear the end of it.

To: Jane
I can't do tonight honey. I'm planning for my party and I don't have time to fuck around with Brent. Give the pills another day or two.

It wasn't technically a lie. She did plan for her party and got some last minute things together, but if Jane knew who she was currently with, then that would cause another hurricane Jane. It was best to just tell her this one lie. The car pulled up to the Lynch home and Piper tossed her phone back into her bag. Carolina was the first to come down and she smiled widely at the girl's entrance. Good a familiar face! She didn't have any problems with Charlotte and her sister, but she wasn't close to any of them like she was Carolina. "Hey girl." Piper greeted her friend warmly.

As Sienna gave the rundown on the plans for the night the mentioning of homework came up. That wasn't even a concern of Pipers. She could get certain homework down in a half hour with she wanted to. She was more interested in the trying on dresses aspect. "Hello president." Piper greeted Charlotte and waved at Rosie as they entered the car next. Surely Charlotte was stressing her southern bell self over the latest scandal right now. To Piper if something like that came up about her probably wouldn't care, but she isn't squeaky clean like Charlotte.

Piper sat back and let the girls talk momentarily before receiving a text. At first she thought it was Jane, but no it was Sienna. What did she want to talk about? Quirking a brow, Piper placed her phone in her lap in case she got any other messages. As the car pulled up to the estate, Piper saw her future. She definitely wasn't going to stop her dreams now. There was no way that she was going to live in a shit apartment for the rest of her life.

She had no chance to talk to Carolina before Sienna was pulling her arm. She was almost dragged to the second floor and to Sienna's room. Once they were there she decided to check with Brent really fast. Sienna could've seen some new scandal come out and Piper wanted to make sure it didn't have to do with her or Jane.

To: Brent
Hey! Has anything new been put out on the gossip blog? You know I need to make sure nothing comes out with Jane right? Also where the hell is Kelley? I haven't heard from her in 10 billion years!

Piper placed her phone back in her purse and then looked up at Sienna. "Don't tell me in the short time it took to get here that another dramatic bomb was dropped?" Honestly it was too soon for anything else to come out.

"Please, it's not like Victoria Walsh is going anywhere unless she's explicitly told to get out. Even then, I'm sure she'd be camped out on the sidewalk praying to be invited back up," Sydney mused, rolling her eyes but allowing a satisfied smirk to form on her lips. It was an ironic comment considering that she had just tried to tempt Jane to come down by sympathizing with the Tori's mother dying and her not having any real friends. She was trying to lighten the mood though, and it wasn't like she didn't believe every word to be true. "I'm staying up here with you until we're both ready to go down," she continued, purposely glancing at the tray of snacks and glass of juice that had been set on Jane's night stand. In an attempt to prove that she wasn't going anywhere, Sydney relaxed herself onto the bed and reached across Jane to grab a few pretzels for herself.

Jane shifted farther towards to the top of bed as Sydney insisted that she wasn't going to leave until she left the room too. Uncomfortable was an understatement of what she was feeling. She was hungry and she truly had been planning on eating something small within the hour or so, but being pressured into doing it made her feel sick upon just seeing the bowl of food. She could feel Sydney's eyes on her but since she had shifted her own gaze towards the door on the other side of the room, she wasn't sure if Syd was actually looking at her or if she was just being paranoid. Regardless of its existence or not, she felt compelled to at least attempt to please the blonde and reached out and took a couple of pretzels. "Why did you invite her here then?" Jane asked. Her tone was not assertive, but rather weak and uncertain as her mind was more focused on the snacks in her hand. In a robotic move, she placed one of the small pretzels on her tongue and slowly chewed it. She waited until it had nearly dissolved before popping the next into her mouth and slipping her legs under her comforter.

Sydney was paying enough attention to Jane's body language to notice how reclusive she seemed to be becoming in the moment. Her legs slid under the blanket, she inched farther away from Sydney and her eyes seemed to be focused on everything but Sydney. It was sad, but Sydney didn't fault in thrusting the glass of juice out towards Jane. She looked pale and lethargic and at this point, Sydney didn't think it was necessary to try to get Jane to talk about it. She would only give excuses, and forcing her to eat and drink seemed like the most direct way to actually get her to do it. "I invited her because I'm a nice person," Sydney responded with a shrug. Her earlier statement negated the claim but she felt like tolerating Victoria when she really didn't like her made it even more of a good deed. On a realer note, she also just didn't want to tell Jane that she was testing Tori's usefulness. "Besides, you were there when Sienna was talking to her at the ALS event. I don't think that a girl like Tori needs to be dealing with someone as manipulative as Sienna is. It's not like she's ever been anything but nice to us anyway." The last part, at least, was true. Aside from past rumors that Sydney was unaware had been conjured by Victoria, she had always been kind to them... or at least Sydney. More than kind, actually. Victoria's level of dedication to being a friend to Sydney whenever she needed her had gotten to a level that Sydney had deemed creepy by freshman year. She had basically outcasted Tori as a normal follower because she was much more relentless than the other girls that buzzed around Sydney. While Sydney thrived on attention like that, there was a point where it became too much. Deep down, she did have feelings and the air of desperation that reeked off of Victoria had started to make her feel guilty for rejecting the girl so thoroughly, that Sydney just had to cut her off. Being almost completely ignored hadn't stopped Tori from caring about Sydney, apparently.

"I don't know... I don't think Sienna would really do--" Jane had taken the glass from Sydney, but only because it had nearly been thrust right into her hands. It was easily identifiable as orange juice, and though the glass probably held less than 150 calories, Jane was horrified at the thought of wasting those calories on a drink. Alcohol was the only drink that she would waste calories on. Besides that, she stuck with water, diet Coke or other calorie-free drinks. With Sydney's eyes now definitely on her, she had to take a sip from the glass though. She reminded herself that she needed to be less obvious about being so disgusted with herself. She needed to mask these behaviors if she wanted to get away with them. Internally cringing, she popped a few more pretzels into her mouth as she allowed Sydney to cut her off.

"Remember who ditched you today, and who went out to Long Island and had the nerve to invite Piper and Carolina without even inviting you. Remember who's literally replacing us as we speak, and who made a slanderous post about me, which means that she was behind every other malicious post ever made about not only me, but you too, on that site. Don't try to tell me that Sienna is a good friend, Jane. Maybe she was at one point, but not anymore. She's a jealous, attention-seeking maniac who doesn't have your back anymore, babe." Maybe she was being harsh, but it needed to be said. Sydney didn't understand how or why Jane would stick up for Sienna at a moment like this. She had planted the idea of Sienna probably planning on coming for Jane next on her blog to scare Jane, but that clearly hadn't been enough to alter her feelings. Until Sydney made up with Sienna (if that ever happened), she wanted Jane 100% on her side. Piper had obviously chosen her side, and Sydney needed Jane to be her version of Piper.

Thursday, September 11th | 3:00 PM

Victoria ended up keeping to her word that she wouldn't make any posts about Jane. She still had no reason to want to protect Jane personally, but a few other reasons kept her wanting to hoard the secret to herself for the time being. For one, her blog had been more active than ever over the past few days. Between the post about Sydney and Vincent, and then the one about Charlotte, she had enough page views and buzz around the page to keep her satisfied. The Jane story would be a good one, not in the way that Charlotte or Sydney's was, because stories involving scandalous romance were always instant-hits, but simply because she was part of Sydney's circle. Those girls were viewed by many as being perfect and 100% flawless, and shedding light on how horribly flawed one of them would be would always generate a good story. That led into the second reason. Her attention had drifted away from one of Sydney's troubled friends to another: Piper. Victoria found out that she was the one who slept with Ed at Sydney's party on Wednesday, and the revelation had Tori wanting to burn Piper to the ground (figuratively and literally). She and Edward weren't technically together the night of Sydney's party. Victoria had broken up with him days before, claiming that he wasn't good enough for her, but she had done that countless times in the past. She didn't really think he would move on, but she should have known that being admitted into Saint Jude's would turn him into a manwhore. That, coupled with Piper Vine, being who Tori now declared the biggest slut in Manhattan, being near him, only spelled trouble. She would put a stop to that, though. After sending Ed many angry (and arguably, a little crazy) voicemails on Wednesday and not hearing back, Victoria decided that she needed to take things into her own hands.

She kept her fingers away from her keyboard on Tuesday and Wednesday and focused on school work. Constance Billard wasn't exclusive just for social reasons. The work there really was rigorous and coupled with studying for the last rounds of SAT's, Tori was overwhelmed with academics, despite it only being the first week of school. Besides just not having enough time to figure out what her next move would be, being back in the classroom reminded her of where she stood on the social ladder. She had used a lot of moxie to act against Sienna but in real life, she wasn't as brave as she was behind her keyboard. In school, she was still the girl who couldn't eat lunch with Sydney Vale and her friends on the steps of The MET, or hop into the town car that Vincent and Ricardo showed up in after classes ended to pick up their girl friends. She was herself, but that wasn't enough, and it infuriated her. So much so, that by the time classes let out on Thursday and she hurried into the town car waiting for her, she couldn't stop herself from making a post to her blog. The idea of going home to an empty house with no real friends and no real family always bothered her, but on the anniversary of her mother's death, her emotions were running more rampant. Maybe she would have still made the post anyway, but today was the day that came once a year, that reminded her that she had less than her peers in more ways than one. Victoria was too young when her mother was killed for her to really remember much, but she knows that had she had a real maternal figure in her life, things would have been different. How, she isn't exactly sure, but she just knows that she wouldn't loathe herself so much. If she had a mother all her life, like all of these other girls, she wouldn't have wanted to be anyone but herself.

I needed a little hiatus after all of the mayhem that our precious little Upper East Siders entertained us with this weekend, but don't worry, darlings; I'm back ;). We all know that this Friday is the annual party that Constance Billard's group of royals throw, and this year, our hostess is none of than Piper Vine! Trust me, I'm just surprised as you that she's managed to stay in that group for so long. Now, to help us all get in the spirit for what's destined to be an ~exciting~ party, I decided to dedicate the next few blog posts to the hostess with the mostess, and what better way to do that than to leave you with some fun facts about her?

  • As you can see, she can deep throat just about anything! Ask the bathroom attendant at Sydney Vale's party, I'm sure she can personally attest to that ;)

  • Sydney isn't the only one in the coveted inner circle that goes for the boys who are taken, so ladies, watch out. If you don't want your bf pinned to the bathroom floor, forced to make out with her, take this as a warning (or follow Charlotte's lead and pretend that you actually aren't dating your boyfriend! Apparently, Brent Barclay is one of the very few guys that Piper hasn't slept with yet!)

We've still got over 24 hours until her big party starts, so check back in for more. I'm saving the juiciest details for last ;)

xoxo

Oh, how exhausting it was to be Queen Bee! Sydney would never let it show, but senior year was already taking a toll on her. She was used to drama. A spot at the top came with some costs, and being the topic of gossip was not something that was new to her. Having her friend group criticized, and her social image picked and pulled at (not to her face, of course), wasn't new to her. Although she had only assumed position as Constance Billard's Queen this year, she had been the queen of her class for as long as she could remember, and the girls in charge of the grades ahead of her had always liked her. She was proficient in the Upper East Side lifestyle, possibly more than anyone else. Maybe that said something about how tumultuous the start of this year had really been. First, she found out from Sienna that Jane had been hiding such a major secret from them for God knows how long, and then Jane continued to lie about it, Sienna forced her into confronting Jane about it, but used that intervention as a chance to start her own drama involving Vincent. And big-mouthed Sienna couldn't just leave it there! Oh, no! She had to go and leak it to the public on her petty blog (that Sydney was only recently beginning to take seriously, after noticing just how many people followed it). There was no way of denying that her relationship with Vincent being leaked so scandalously was a bump in the road. It hadn't knocked her crown from her head though, despite what she was sure Sienna intended to happen.

Why that bothered Sydney, she didn't know. She knew it was exaggerated and that her insistence to Jane that Sienna was blatantly trying to replace them with Lottie and Rosie and Carolina wasn't accurate. Sienna had been friends with those girls before the fight, and was probably just as close with them then and she was now, but it was probably the fact that Sienna was friendly enough to have other friends outside of their group that irked Sydney. She was cold and unfriendly for a reason- because that was the only way to garner the complete respect and authority that a queen bee deserved. Being nice to everyone gave people the idea that they were relevant and could get away with stepping out of line, and Sydney couldn't give up the control that her closed off and exclusive friend circle gave her. She didn't appreciate Sienna disrupting the system, even if it wasn't directly affecting her.

As if that wasn't enough, she had already had a one-to-one conversation with Sienna since then, and though it didn't end in fistfuls of each other's hair, Sydney didn't think it necessarily went well either. They needed space, and that was probably best for their mental health, but not for their image. The royal clique at Constance Billard was supposed to be inseparable, not completely torn apart during the first week of school! Still, Sydney couldn't accept responsibility for it. She couldn't go crawling to Sienna and beg her to be her friend, since that would obviously bring Piper back as well. Not only did Sydney have too much pride for that, but she was also beginning to think that maybe she didn't need them. Maybe she really was better off with Sienna. She was pathetic enough to run such a scandalous gossip page, and though Sydney was hyping it up to deter Jane from Sienna, it did seem, to some extent at least, that Sienna was looking to Charlotte as a new best friend.

None of her minions dared to bring up the friend drama, but Sydney wondered what people thought of it. It had to be obvious that something was up, with the now-deleted blog post to start, and how their daily morning and lunch period hangouts hadn't existed following the post. Everyone followed their clique, so it was impossible for no one to notice the rift there. Though Sydney didn't mind continuing her story that Sienna was a lying drama queen, who had enough trust and self confidence issues to create the Vincent affair on her own, she didn't want any more drama. At least not drama involving her. So, she decided that she would go to Piper's party the next night. It was a tradition that the popular clique held every year, and Sydney would be damned if she let Sienna ruin that for her. Besides, she was kind of looking forward to seeing how bad Piper's party was compared to the past three. Sydney wouldn't guess that Piper was living the lie that she was, but the mere fact that she chose Sienna in a split second over her made her hate her even more. There shouldn't have been any reason for Sydney to think otherwise, since she and Piper had never, ever been close, but she still felt like Piper was supposed to report to her. Like she was more of a minion than an actual friend. If her party failed, not only would it remind Piper of her place, but prove that without her, Piper was nothing.

That high-and-mighty attitude for Piper came down a few notches when she received a text from a junior, Chelsea Lively linking her to the newest blog post that trashed Piper. Sydney wouldn't classify Piper as a great friend, but she was something. A frenemy, maybe, and though Sydney would be the first person to cut her down, she wasn't okay with other people doing that. The friend group wasn't currently in tact, but the sensible side of Sydney didn't think that it was permanently severed and she felt... bad for Piper. The attack wasn't even as damaging as the one on Charlotte, but what confused Sydney even more was that she was still sure Sienna was behind that blog. Maybe what she had been telling Jane, about how Sienna was trying to cut all of them down so that she could look like the hero by comforting them and making it better wasn't completely fabricated. It was unsettling, and Sydney knew she had to get to the bottom of it. Since it was her friend group, she wasn't sure whether she wanted to turn to gossipy younger girls, who could surely get her some dirt, but at what cost? No, she needed to keep this in the circle. Sienna could air their dirty laundry, but unlike her, Sydney had class.

To: Jane
I'm waiting for you at our morning spot on the steps. I called off my driver. We can walk bc we need time to chat...

Over the first few days of school, Carolina tried to settle into her new normal. She was no longer woken up every morning at six AM from the sound of her mother turning on the shower on the other side of her thin bedroom wall. She didn't spend ten minutes rummaging through her dresser and then another ten ironing the white blouse that she continuously forget to hang rather than stuffing in the drawer. There was no undersized kitchen that smelled like dark coffee, or her mother shouting at her that she better put the book she was reading down and finish her waffles before she missed the bus. It was different now, living with her sister and the Lynchs. Everything felt clean and orderly. Her bedroom, that she still managed to ransack every morning, despite how spacious it was, was left spotless by the time she returned home from classes. She was woken every morning by a gentle knock on her door, or her sister's voice over the intercom, if she was even awake. Her breakfast was always waiting for her the moment she emerged from her bedroom, and Carolina hadn't seen a box of frozen food since moving in. It was so different, and so nice, but it still didn't feel like it was her life. She still felt like a guest living here, in part because of how unwelcoming Jane had been, and no matter how many times her sister talked Jane's power down, Carolina knew that this was Jane's house. She didn't think she deserved the coldness that Jane showed her, but at the same time, Carolina didn't care enough to try to take over Jane's house as her own. It wasn't worth it, but she didn't like the idea of having to be so uncomfortable in a place she was supposed to reside in until she went to college.

School was beginning to be more appealing to Carolina, because she knew her place there and wasn't criticized for it. Sure, she wasn't living in the fast lane with Sienna and her friends (whoever exactly that was at the moment, Carolina wasn't sure), but she had a few good friends and didn't want more. She enjoyed learning and didn't mind the rigorous assignments that came with the grade A education she was getting at Constance Billard. Besides school, Carolina had all of New York at her fingertips, and now, with a chauffeur and enough money to not have to worry about cab or subway fees anyway. Days had past since the last time she had actually socialized with anyone, with that being her night at Sienna's Long Island home, so Carolina decided to reach out to Piper. Her party was tomorrow, but she doubted that she would actually end up seeing Piper much then. She was hosting a party, so there would be tons of people there, and Carolina knew that she wasn't in Piper's expected group of friends. She was okay with that, though. Hearing about Charlotte and Sienna's social problems for just a few hours was enough to remind Carolina that she was far better off in her low place on the social ladder.

To: Piper
Busy with ur last minute party planning or do u wanna get food later?

Carolina tapped out the message to Piper and sent it without even checking the gossip blog, that minutes before, had put up a post about Piper herself. She made her way out of the school building with the mass of girls, but lingered on the school steps rather than leaving campus immediately. Nicole had unofficially tasked her with keeping an eye on Jane, and though Carolina had rejected every plea her sister made, every insistence that Jane's doctor claimed she was already back to losing weight and that nothing she or her father said would work, she felt bad. It was unjustified and Carolina hated having a conscious, but the comment she had made days before to Jane about McDonald's, made her feel like she had something to do with it. It spoke to how Carolina still really didn't grasp that Jane's issues were real, and that an eating disorder was an actual illness, and not Jane just having self-confidence issues and crash dieting because she was so insecure. But still, something in her felt guilty and she decided to try to extend a little bit of kindness towards Jane again. She would be more patient and understanding and helpful, because she was the bigger person. So, rather than hurry to the town car and wait in it until Jane got there as well, she decided to wait for Jane outside of school. Whether or not it would be well-received, she didn't know, but she waited a few minutes, and when she saw Sydney Vale emerged, went out on a limb even more and approached her.

Carolina scoffed at the idea that she was probably breaking social code by approaching the almighty queen herself! She was sure there would be underclassmen baffled at someone as unimportant as her walking over to Sydney Vale without a hint of care in her expression, and speaking to her without waiting to be acknowledged first. "Hey, I was just wondering if you've seen Jane?" she questioned, inadvertently tightening the grip on her backpack as she did so.

Jane's day hadn't gone as horribly bad as she tended to predict any school day would go. A lot of it was probably contributed to the fact that she had eaten that day. It wasn't much - a small bowl of strawberries and a yogurt, but it was enough to keep the headache and fatigue, that she was all to familiar with, at bay. She had lunch with Sydney, and in an effort to appease her friend, consumed more than half of the kale salad that Sydney's driver delivered to their usual spot on the MET steps. She felt good physically, but not so much mentally. However, the promise she made to herself to walk home this afternoon and then go jogging in Central Park, made her feel a little bit better. Today was probably one of the first school days since last winter when she didn't feel physically ill, and it probably showed via her academic activity as well. Jane wasn't raising her hand or actively offering answers, because her insecurities about answering incorrectly made those tendencies non-existent, but she was able to pay attention and actually do work.

To: Charlotte
We're supposed to read chapters 5 & 6 for English tonight right???

Jane texted Lottie on her way out of her French classroom, in an attempt to keep her random burst of studiousness alive even though the school day was now finished. Unlike her almost daily text to Charlotte, she wasn't going to ask Charlotte to just send her a summary of whatever the chapters were about. She would actually try to read them herself. See, being healthy is good for you! Healthy and smart and successful. Like a businesswoman or something! she tried to convince herself. The good mood that she was in was similar to her old self, and being reminded of how good and normal she could feel made her miss it. She wanted to feel well, but it was impossible to do this regularly and not want to die. It was one thing to eat well one day a month, or something, and nearly starve herself every other day, because she wouldn't put on any weight. She would use that one day as a day to keep her metabolism functioning, but she was sure that if she did this every day, not only would she not lose weight, but she would gain it too. And just as much as she knew that she didn't need to lose weight, she wanted to. She didn't want people tell her that she looked good and healthy. There was a part of her that was ill enough to want to look sickly thin. She didn't know why. She didn't think she wanted to be like that so people would be concerned and give her attention, because she had seen what that did. It left her in a rehabilitation facility for an entire summer, and with her parents all over her case about it. That was what made mental illnesses so complicated, so her therapists had told her. There didn't necessarily need to be a reason or trigger behind it. Sometimes it just happened to people who had no reason to become sick.

Regardless of how tomorrow or even later that night would turn out, Jane was enjoying this unlikely good mood and honestly, didn't want anyone to ruin it. That was the first thought that crossed her mind when she read the text from Sydney as she navigated the halls on her way out. She loved her friends, Sydney included, but the group separation was so tiring, even for Jane who wasn't directly involved in the drama. It was so hard having to pick a side and listen to Sydney vent about how Sienna was a tyrant, psychotic, and plotting to ruin Jane's image, as she had supposedly done to Sydney. Jane was impressionable and Sydney was influential, so that alone was a bad combination, but Jane loved Sienna! She was her best friend too, and while Sydney always gave a million and one reasons for why Jane should agree, it didn't make sense with the Sienna she knew and loved.

While she followed instructions and met Sydney outside school, she couldn't resist sending a random string of emojis to Sienna as well, to reignite their texting relationship. She hadn't seen Sienna much over the past few days in school, and not once out of school, and as much as she was sure that everyone expected her to fall under Sydney's wing completely, she couldn't do that.

Her expression shifted from cheerful to confused when she spotted Carolina next to Sydney on their spot. First Tori for the spa day, and now she's trying to include unimportant, useless, ugly, annoying, loser Carolina too? Ugh! "Hi?" she greeted, clearly confused and a bit turned off by Carolina's unwanted presence. She wanted to ask Sydney what it was that she wanted to talk about, so much that she wanted the extra time of walking home to do so, but not with Carolina there.

While everyone else bitched and moaned about being forced to return to school with all of the salacious events that had occurred in the days prior, Sienna had been true to her word. After making sure that Charlotte and her sister along with Carolina had been returned home, she had kidnapped both Esmee and Piper for a trip to MIT. She had gotten Cynthia to plan it for her with her father personally contacting the Dean of Undergraduate Studies. Of course, Esmee had been giving her the ultimate bitch face the entire time, but Sienna had pointedly ignored her. She wasn't trying to care about what was right or moral at the moment; she needed to make a point and if Tori had to be the one to learn the lesson, then that was her own fault. Sienna had been more than lenient before.

Of course, with the sweetest of faces and a smile that appeared too innocent for anyone to suspect her for anything, she had brought the idea of slander up to the Dean as he and a promising Junior gave the girls a tour. They were treated to lunch with the president of the institute, a chance to see the best of suite living, and sat in on two of the classes. Of course, it had probably taken the staff member by surprise, but Sienna had deftly assured him that she was not involved with such a heinous act. But, of course, she had a friend who had such a terrible addiction to blogging such information, to which he had responded that students of that nature were not tolerated by the institution. Their gifts were to be used for the advantages of government agencies and various corporations, not anything damaging. And Sienna, with only the most relaxed and understanding of smiles, had weaved her way into his good graces and even played a concerned friend, only wanting to see her "best friend" have her dreams come true. She had done nothing but speak Tori's praises, part of it not being a lie seeing how Tori was intelligent. Afterwards, pictures were taken and posted all over social media, and Sienna signed more than two-hundred album covers, notebooks, posters and skin she really would have liked to unsee.

At a particular point in the visit to MIT, Sienna had left with the male tour guide. She had asked Piper to watch Esmee in the school store while Sienna had gone off to see about campus life since they had only briefly touched upon it. It was during this moment that she moved. Sienna may not have been the queen, but she was definitely not ignorant of her own capabilities as a woman who wanted things done and, when pushed, was willing to do what she had to in order to gain the best results. Which may or may not have involved seducing the older male, Jared, into being on the lookout for a request she would make at some point in the near future. He had first, not been receptive to her advances despite admitting that she was absolutely gorgeous, but Sienna had made herself very clear. "Sweetie, let's be very clear. If I wanted you, I'd have you. No questions asked. The difference is that I don't want you, but what you can do for me and that one little task could be very well rewarded. All you have to do is play by my rules." Sienna would later deny the silk of her voice, the lilt by which the sound resonated from her glossed lips and the way she coyly peeked up at him from underneath her lashes before jetting off find her sister and friend. When the girls had taken off, she had her plan in motion.

By the time they were twenty minutes away from New York, Esmee was very much comfortable and asleep, head on Sienna's lap as Sienna ran her fingers through the dark, silky mane. In the other hand, her phone was being used. Or at least, looked at as she glared at the post about Piper. "And now you see why that bitch is gonna get what's coming to her," she snapped, showing Piper the post. "First Charlotte, then messing with J, and now you? If Sydney thinks replacing me with her is gonna do her any good, she's obviously too stuck on her fucking high horse to see this bitch is gunning for a take down." What remained unspoken was Sienna's concern for Sydney's well-being. Regardless of where they stood, Sienna couldn't bare the fact that some insignificant twit was coming after any of her friends and Sydney was left vulnerable to Tori's manipulation. Granted, Sydney wasn't some wilting daisy, but at a moment like this, Sydney's image was imperative and the best way to seem unaffected by any and everything is to surround oneself with admirers of all kind. The loss of Sienna and Piper would not seem as big if Sydney had replacements. And Sienna, despite the sting, wouldn't mind if she was replaced. Just not by Tori.

With that in mind and allowing Piper to voice her own frustrations, Sienna sent out her own messages.

"Another day wasted," Kelley groaned, though her expression twinkled of playfulness as she sluggishly walked down the steps of Constance Billard towards Vincent. It wasn't a complete waste of the day. She did catch up on her sleep during her English class, and during her lunch period, she breezed through most of her assignments. Still, Kelley disliked having to spend any of her time at school. It all just seemed unnecessary. Maybe it was because she was very bright, or maybe it was because she was usually hungover every morning and nothing other than sleeping seemed worthwhile. "How was your's?"

"Good... normal," Vincent responded distractedly. He and Kelley had planned on meeting at Constance when classes were over, so they could hang out before the dinner party that her parents were hosting. Although that was the real reason for him being at Constance, it had struck him after the plan was made, that Sydney might also be around, and Sienna wouldn't be. His conscience was telling him that it wasn't a good idea, but the devil on his shoulder wanted him to use this moment of Sienna being out of town to clear the air with Sydney. Why he still felt like he owed Sydney anything was beyond even him. He didn't think that he actually liked her outside of the reasons that every guy at Saint Jude's had for liking Sydney. She was a catch, but he knew that the cons outweighed the pros when it came to whatever he could have with her. Besides, the even bigger reason was that he had everything he could want with Sienna. Everyone insisted that they were perfect for each other and he knew that better than anyone else. But he felt... guilty for the way that things went down with Sydney still. This was an occasion where he almost wished that he was more like Rick. With any other girl, Vincent had few morals and was okay with sleeping with them once (while promising more just to get the pants off) and never speaking to them again. But he felt like he had went too far with Sydney, and then left her for dead by confessing to Sienna himself and not only not giving Syd a chance to too, but leaving her in the dark for years. It was close to impossible for Sydney's image to be torn down because she had literally spent years building it up, but even if it didn't cost her any followers, the hit that she must have taken to her pride made Vincent feel bad. He had seen her crying, for God's sake! The situation had turned Sydney into the clueless fool, and for the queen bee, Vincent knew that wouldn't sit well.

He saw her on the opposite side of the steps standing with Jane, and a girl whose name constantly slipped Vincent's mind. He knew that if he approached her, word would get back to Sienna within minutes. Although he tried to convince himself that him talking to Sydney wasn't wrong at all, that he could just apologize and it wouldn't be doing any wrong to Sienna, he knew that it wasn't that simple in this group.

"Your girlfriend isn't in school today, lover boy," Kelley teased, though her attention was focused on her phone as she spoke. "Yeah, she's away. She's visiting some school with Piper, I think." When she looked up and realized that Vincent was lingering steps behind her because he was looking at Sydney, her eyebrow's quickly rose. "Oh, you're gawking over your other girlfriend. Sorry, it's hard for me to keep up with who your current muse is since it seems to change every day."

"Shut up, I'm not gawking. I just don't know if I should say something to her," he said, taking a few more steps down, but stopping on the sidewalk below.

"If you're not telling her that you and Sienna are dating, I don't think you should say anything. I think you've said enough to everyone to last a lifetime. Honestly, I think Sienna might have some competition in your relationship for the title of the biggest drama queen."

Vincent opted not to shoot back sarcasm like Kelley was doing. Part of what she was saying was probably right, but Vincent didn't think he needed to tell Sydney that he and Sienna were dating in order to just clear the air between them. He knew he couldn't be close with her anymore, and he didn't think that he even wanted to be close with her, but he didn't want things to be awkward either. It was pathetic, considering that he had some social power of his own, but a bit of him didn't want to be on the queen bee's bad side either. "What did she say to you that night that you slept over her house? Do you think I should just apologize? I'm not going to tell her I'm with Sienna because that'll cause more drama. Sienna will tell her when they're friends again."

"I couldn't tell you if I wanted to. I'm pretty sure that's against girl code, Vince," she said, with the last part in a mocking tone. "On a real note, I'm surprised my liver survived that night," she continued, more seriously now. "But I seriously don't think that you should say anything. We don't need anymore drama in this town, and if we're actually sticking around this party my parents are throwing, I'm going to end up with a headache from just that. I don't need to somehow end up listening to Sydney Vale sob about her perfect life in addition to that." Vincent still seemed unsure, so Kelley threw one of her arms around his shoulder and forced him to walk away from the school with her. A few seconds later, his phone lit up and she watched his attention center in on it. She leaned over and read Sienna's message with him, before obnoxiously pestering him. "Ooh, your phone's ringing with a booty call. Answer it boy, answer it!" Vincent didn't act fast enough to push her face away before she read the message, but he did as he typed out a message to her. "She better come to the party tonight. You have to reintroduce her to the family, Vincent. She has to win our approval or she's out."

"Are you on drugs?" Vincent retorted in a mutter, struggling to find any amusement in Kelley's loud personality today. He did decide to at least extend the invite to Sienna, though. His mother wouldn't let him live it down if he didn't show up to the dinner party that his aunt and uncle were hosting, but he also really wanted to see Sienna. If she was busy, which he wouldn't have been surprised with with how their schedules were clashing all week, he would find a way to see her after, he decided. As he texted Sienna, Kelley was also sending out a few texts of her own.

To: Sienna
;) Not your fault. How was that school trip? I'm being forced to chill @ Kelley's tn for some dinner party. Come if ur celeb schedule isn't booked to the max.

Sydney was focused on her phone when Carolina approached, and when she caught the figure coming near her out of the corner of her eye, she figured it was an underclassman follower. In the moment before Carolina opened her mouth, Sydney looked up and caught sight of a couple heading down the steps on the other side of the school. It was Kelley and Vincent. It wasn't unusual to find Saint Jude's boys lingering outside of Constance's campus after a school day was over. With the schools being brother-sister schools and a lot of the students growing up together outside of school, they tended to interact frequently. Had it been any guy other than Vincent, Sydney wouldn't have given him a second look. It wasn't like Kelley wasn't frequently seen with guys anyway. The fact that it was Vincent, and that she was positive that her eyes met his for a brief second before Carolina spoke, irked her a little bit. It wasn't just that she hadn't expected to see him and was suddenly questioning how good she looked, but also that she was bothered that he hadn't tried to contact her at all within the past few days. She reassured everyone around her that she blocked his number because she wasn't going to deal with he and Sienna making up lies about her, but that itself was a lie. She was bothered by the lack of attention he was giving her, even though she would undeniably reject any form of contact he did try to offer her.

She couldn't worry about that now though. Carolina was asking her about Jane's whereabouts, and while Sydney wouldn't ever consider Carolina to be a threat, she was perplexed by why the girl who was just a nameless face in the crowd had rejected her offer to hang out, and instead hung out with Sienna days earlier. It had rubbed Sydney the wrong way, and she decided that a switch of approach was in order for Carolina. Sydney didn't know who she thought she was, but she was going to have to be brought back down to earth. Just because she was now living with Jane didn't mean that she automatically got a pass for being a loser. "Of course I've seen her. She's my best friend," Sydney replied with a sardonic chuckle as she rolled her eyes at the stupidity that she was trying to turn Carolina's question into. She knew that Carolina had worded it that way in an attempt to ask Sydney where Jane currently was, but Sydney wasn't going to make this easy, especially since she didn't know where Jane was at the moment either. Sydney was almost hoping to have a moment to see Carolina's reaction, but then Jane appeared and seemed just as dissatisfied with Carolina being there as she now was. "Hey Janie," she sang in an unusually cheerful tone for Sydney. "Caroline wanted to know where you were, but I guess you know now," she continued condescendingly as she briefly glanced towards Carolina. "So, let's get going. We need to stop at Tiffany's in a little to pick up something my mom ordered for me, and I want to get there before Elaine's shift ends. You know I don't like the other women who work there."

As Sydney looped her arm in Jane's, her attention briefly drifted to her buzzing phone. Victoria, Sienna and a few sophomores had texted her, but she only opened Sienna's. She didn't want her to trust Victoria? Was she stupid? Of course she didn't trust Victoria. Not like a real friend at least. After Sienna's recent stint, the other person who was still on her trustworthy list was Jane, and with Jane's reputation of having loose lips, even that wasn't completely genuine. Sydney was so guarded that she couldn't even truly trust her best friend, so despite being at ease with Tori enough to allow her to spend the day with them, she didn't actually trust her. Still, the warning was strange, especially when Sienna and her were at ends. Was Sienna trying to sabotage her? Was she jealous? Did she know something and was actually trying to help her? Sydney didn't know, but she knew she would have to find out as soon as she had a chance to talk to Jane alone, and in case Jane knew nothing, she decided to send back a quick, simple and emotionless message to Sienna. It wasn't going any farther into their relationship than the text she was responding to went, so she didn't feel desperate or pathetic.

Carolina had invaded her sanctuary at home, and now she was trying to invade her personal space at school too? They had been going to the same school for three years and just now, Carolina felt the need to try to associate with people who were completely out of her league? Jane wanted to scoff at the mere idea of it, but she was still making an effort to keep her good mood alive. Regardless, she had to say something to Carolina, especially when Sydney dismissed her so... typically. It wasn't necessarily typical to Sydney and Carolina's interactions, since those had been very limited as far as Jane knew, and from what she had seen, were pleasant enough, but it was typical of the normal Sydney. The one that didn't need to interact with anyone at all, and still be better than everyone else.

"Did you need something? Max should be at the corner with the car, so you can just tell him that I don't need a ride today," her tone reflected how she felt like Carolina was being a bother, but was less harsh than Sydney's. Why, all of the sudden, Jane felt like being less catty was beyond her too. Before Sydney took her arm, she managed to get two texts of her own sent out.

To Sienna:
if that invite comes with a plus one for you know who, then of course ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

All it took was Sydney Vale embracing her as if she were a peasant invading the queen's kingdom for Carolina to say screw it to her attempt at trying to extend an olive branch to Jane. She had known that Sydney Vale was a bitch ever since she started at Constance and was introduced to her type, but had never even spoken to her until moving in with Jane. Even then, the few interactions that she had with Sydney, up until this point, weren't actually bad. She seemed insincere and fake, but Carolina tried to tell herself that that was just her being paranoid. On the surface level, the queen bee had actually been unprecedentedly friendly towards Carolina but apparently, they were back to being two people who dare not associate with each other. And when Jane appeared, it was like Carolina (or Caroline, as Sydney clearly purposely miscalled her) wasn't even standing there.

Carolina hated it, but she could feel her cheeks burning with heat in simple shock at how dismissive and nasty Sydney was. It wasn't even a big deal. It wasn't like she was being publicly humiliated like she had heard the blonde did to some people, but it still stung because Carolina wasn't used to being treated like that by anyone, aside from Jane, really. With Jane, it didn't even count because Carolina could easily discredit her as being a dumb bimbo, and while Carolina didn't care about the social ladder, that didn't mean it didn't exist. Whether she respected Sydney or not, she had power, and being treated like such an insignificant by someone who claimed social power was enough to rub Carolina the wrong way. So much so, that she didn't mind taking it out on Jane by being a bit passive aggressive about her eating issues. "No, I don't need anything. Your stepmother just wanted me to make sure that you were eating today. She said she doesn't want you fainting in school again this year, but I'm sure you know that. Besides, I can't tell what it is, but something about you just looks like you've eaten enough today," Carolina said, the last sentence coming out more viciously than her conscience would probably be able to hold later. Without giving Jane time to formulate a comeback, Carolina shrugged nonchalantly and headed away from the school, unwilling to prevent herself from muttering, "Dumb bitches," as she started the walk home. With emotional bitterness leaving a bad taste in her mouth, she decided to distract herself by responding to Sienna's text.

Before the Alvarez siblings headed home, Sienna stopped to drop Piper off at the place she requested. It still made her a bit suspicious considering that the places Piper would specify wouldn't necessarily be apartments or homes, just stores close to historic homes or cafes. However, so enraptured by her phone, Sienna didn't choose to question her and Esmee wasn't close enough to the redhead to even attempt to care. She did, however, call after her friend as the redhead climbed out of the vehicle, stating playfully, "And don't kill our little wanna-be...yet. I'd hate to see blood on those Jimmy Choos." Sienna offered her friend a wink before sliding her head back into the vehicle and allowing the door to close after her.

While her driver waited for the next light, Sienna turned her attention back to her phone, firstly glancing at the text from Jane. Of course, leave it to her friend to want to push the good mood Sienna was in. Tori's response earlier hadn't dampened Sienna's mood; it only served to amuse her. After all, she was aware of how easily she could unnerve the loser, how she got under her skin. So, Sienna had not entertained the idea of her yet, only staring at the inquiry from her friend. Esmee stared at her for a moment before peeking over and shaking her head. "You really gonna not let that girl have her friend over?" Sienna remained silent and the younger Alvarez rolled her eyes, lightly punching Sienna's arm. Hermana , recuerdas quién eres!" She softened her voice only a second later, "The only way you can really show that you're really unafraid of Sydney is if you show she has no power of you. A couple of hours together is not gonna hurt you." Sienna sighed dramatically, fake-glaring at her sister. "Fine, fine. Just...get off my back." Esmee only grinned while Sienna typed her responses.

To: Jane
Sure

To: Vincent
Fun. Don't think Esmee likes the state, but we had fun. I'll c u there

To: Carolina
Mom wanted Esmee to have a real college tour experience starting now. Decided 2 visit a few for the day. Big sis duties

As the siblings walked out of their parked vehicle and into their apartment building, Sienna's mind was still on Sydney's text. She wasn't sharing any huge details over text, not with her. She didn't trust Sydney with her dirt on Victoria. Sydney would squash it now and Sienna...Sienna was a bit selfish. She felt jaded by Tori and more than anything, she wasn't turning to Sydney for help in taking that bitch down. She could do it on her own. However, she did know that after sending the initial message, there was no way that she could get by without responding to Sydney lest the blonde confront Tori herself. And if that would happen, Sienna wanted both girls nearby so she could either gang up on the girl who was trying her patience, or watch Tori's dream of popularity go down the drain.

To: Sydney
Short story, she knows things she shouldn't know. Like Jane things and I don't trust her with that kind of knowledge. I guess somewhere in the midst of your girl night, u guys had a pillow talk that included talks about drugs?? Long story requires all of us, my place tomorrow. Getting ready for the ball.
