Introduction

This city is fairly new. Founded only a hundred or two years ago. It has a rather large population, and everything seems normal. To the humans, anyway. Most of the population, unknowingly, is made up of vampires. Most humans don't even realize there is such a huge war going on. But the vampires are fighting to claim the city as hunting grounds, and trying to get rid of the rival vampires to have more peace as they sleep. There is a lot of hatred in this little city...or maybe not so little, really. With one of the largest populations of any city, and so full of humans unaware of the existance of vampires, this city is a wonderful hunting grounds for vampires.

And me? I'm nothing but a peaceful vampire...until feeding time, anyway. But, aside from that, I'm just a simple healer. If you are inured, I am your best bet to a faster heal. And, because at about three thousand, I am by far the oldest vampire, I will give wisdom and answer the questions of younger vampires. After all, there is some information that should be passed down to younger vampires in case anything were to happen to me...or in case I decide I've had enough. And you don't want me as an enemy; vampires grow stronger as they age, especially their magical energies.

If you ever have any questions, or problems you aren't comfortable speaking with your fellow gang-mambers, I do not speak of anything to anyone else. Even if it's something as simple as a crush on another vampire...or even a human...I'm here to listen, not fight. In fact, I do not allow fighting on my territory in the cemetary. ...Yes, the entire cemetary is my territory, though I choose to remain on the far side, away from the city. I will not, however, give inside information on other gangs; I'm not a spy, and I will not reduce myself to it! But I'm here to help with injuries...or, if you don't want to end up with a gang; if, like me, you don't want to take part in fighting, I will alow vampires to follow me, and to practice healing. So...go have you war. Just keep it on your side of the cemetary, okay?

Needed:
two gang leaders
gang memebers
...not a very long list, is it?

Toggle Rules

1) No godmodding; allow others time to react. Give them a chance to dodge; but no one can dodge everything.

2) Vampires have sensitive eyes; they must be protected if they intend to go out during the day.

3) Vampires have keen senses. They can smell the differences in individuals easily, so they can't be snuck up on by humans or other vampires. Their hearing isn't quite as good; they can hear humans, but not vampires as easily.

4) After a vampire feeds, their sense of smell is dulled. They can hear as well as normal, but smelling becomes hard for an hour after.

5) Vampires can supplement food for blood, though you have to eat three times as much as a human to be an effective supplement.

6) You can start as a human, but, sooner or later, you will be turned. ...That, or get caught up in the craziness of the vampires. Either way, you can't be sheltered from them forever.

7) You can have special abilities, though keep it to two or three. And they cannot kill instantly; give others a chance to react, or to ty to fight, or to decide to give in. And each ability takes energy; and no vampire has unlimited energy. You will tire eventually.

8) A vampire cannot be killed alone; you must have help, because the vampire has to be ripped apart. And, if the pieces are not burned, they will pull themselves together; literally.

9) No half-vampires, please. Only pure vampires.

10) Romance is allowed, but pg only, please.

11) Vampires are immortal, and will live forever. So there can be a bit of fast-forwarding, as long as it makes sense and does not interrupt someone else's "moment." Humans, being mortal, can die in this rp by old age. Vampires can die, too; just not of age.

12) Vampires can sleep, but they sleep so lightly even a tiny breeze or movement can wake them. Another par of this war; trying to get rid of more vampires to have more peace.

13) This is set in some time in the past. There are no flamethrowers, guns, etc.

14) Vampires only have to feed on blood once every week. If they are trying to supplement with food, they pretty much have to constantly eat.

15) Vampires can control their venom as a snake can; they choose whether or not to inject any venom at all, and how much. Vampire venom is what changes a human into a vampire.

16) Vampires can tell when another vampire is either younger or older than they are, and when another one is close to the same age.

17) A vampires eyes will start to show bits of red when it comes close to them needing blood. If the vampire starves itself, or refuses blood and supplements with food, the eyes will turn completely red.

18) The methods humans have come up with to kill vampires are inneffective; amy cause slight wounds, or weaken the vampire to make them more vulnerable to other vampires.

19) If you create a character, please make sure to jump in at some point. I don't want characters that aren't going to be able to play.

20) If you, for some reason or other, are leaving the rp or will not be able to post for a while, pm me to let me know. We'll have something done to your character to fit whether you are leaving for good or temporarily.

21) I will send a pm to let you know when and if your character is accepted.

22) Before we actually start, I would like to get things settled in OOC; decide who's a part of which gang, their position, etc.
23) Have fun!!

24) If there are questions that belong here and I forgot, they will make their way here

I shook my head, finishing up. How could these humans sleep like this? I stood and walked to sit against a different wall, pulling out my sketching again. It was almost done...but it would still take a little while to finish and look the way I wanted it to. After all, there was no way I was going to be able to sleep. If even the a gentle breeze could wake me up, surely his heart beat, breathing, and snoring would prevent me from sleeping. ...And it had been so long since I had gotten a good sleep, too...I shrugged. At least I was going hunting as soon as it was deak out. That should calm me down enough, I thought. I started drawing again.

Asher jolted up with a start, almost like he was having a bad dream. He looked around in the sheer darkness of the room, unable to locate anything.... At least there was a silver of light still about, even if it was that of the moonlight. He pushed himself off the ground, not even bothing to readorn his armor, and walked over to the door. It was all coming back to him now...He pushed open the door to the boneyard, letting the pale moonlight in, and washing over his body.

He stepped out into the cool night air, looking around. He hoped that this wasn't a dream...but it shouldn't be. He was still sore from earlier, dispite all of his wounds being healed very nicely. He wheeled back around on his heels, looking back towards the building. "Songrose? Are you awake in there?" He would call out to her softly.

I let out a little laugh. "Did you seriously expect me to sleep? My hearing is much too keen; even the smallest breeze will keep me awake, let alone your heart beating, breathing, and snoring." I stood up. "If you're awake, then I kinda need to leave. It's my hunting night, and I had to cut my last trip short." I walked past him, saying, "Make sure you stay here; I'll be able to smell if another vampire comes here, and I'll come back if I do." I turned back to him, warning him almost as if he was a child. Which, compared to my age, he was. "Don't go anywhere." I turned and walked towards the city, sniffing lightly. I would have to make this fast...

Asher nodded to her. So she did hunt like the rest of the Vampires.... She was just controlled about it. Not that he knew any of the feeding habits of vampires. He would walk bakc to the Mausoleum, and sit down on the stoop outside of it. "Yes, Miss Songrose...I don't think I'll be able to go anywhere anytime soon anyhow!" He said with a light hearted laugh. He seemed to be back to his strange old self.

"Do be careful." He would offer her as she walked off, as well as a generous smile. He would walk back inside the Mausoleum, and begin to dress himeslf in his clothing. He made sure all of his gear was still on him, patting it down. Everything was still there. He went back out to the front of the building...Songrose was nowhere to be found.

I searched around carefully. I had to find someone on their own...but everyone seemed to travel in groups at night. I ignored the vampires around; after all, they hunted, too. Be careful...who would attack me? The other vampires should at the least be able to sense that I was much older than they were. I didn't know of any vampires stupid enough to try to fight me. I turned my head sharply; finally, one strayed into an alley...he wouldn't be able to see. With a small grin, I casually walked into the alley after him, humming lightly. He'd be able to hear me when I got close enough, but not see me. And it's not like he would really notice anything until it was much too late. And...what a surprise; lost. I was quick about feeding on the man, and decided to leave the body there. I leaned against one of the walls, wiping blood from my face. I glanced around, looking for vampires that might see me, or humans that might brush up against me. As soon as I was sure I hadn't left any blood, I would have to hurry back. The vampire he thought he had killed woulnd't be able to move as far as my mausoleum, so as long as he didn't go looking for trouble, he'd be fine. ...But my sense of smell was dulled from my meal. It would be harder to know if there was another vampire there...

Asher simply sat upon the Mausoleum stoop. He was mentally counting, seeing how long exactly it would take Songrose to get back from her feeding time. It wasn't really anything too nessicary, but he was curious. He had nothing better to do.... Wait a minute! Yes, he had!

He reached into his cloak, finding a pocket down next to his hips. He pulled out a folded piece of parchment from the cloth, and opened up. On it were things he had scribbled down....his eyes began to piece together his thoughts from that night. He was sure he could burn some time off finishing this...

He stood and walked inside the building, the innards lit lightly by the moon, which happened to be full tonight. He found what he was seeking: A quill and ink. He took each back outside, before sitting down again. He would use his knee to bare down on as he began writing again, his wrist flowing smoothly from letter to letter in neat cursive...

I walked out of the little alley, glancing around. A few people glanced at me, but none looked worried; I hadn't missed any. Perfect. I started to walk casually towards the cemetary that was my home; I could have gone faster, but someone was bound to notice. So I was stuck strolling slowly. I continued to glance around, not even bothering to try to smell. It wouldn't do me any good, anyway. That kind of made it a little harder to pick out vampires from humans, but they still wouldn't bother me, I was sure. Even when I reached the cemetary, I didn't pick up the speed. I glanced back at the city; humans could still see me. They could probably see me to the cemetary if it wasn't dark. By the time I was sure no one would see me, I glanced around; I didn't see anyone here, but they might be hiding...why did my sense of smell have to be so dulled after feeding? I was starting to get that sense back as I reached the mausoleum, and poked my head in. "You found something to do?"

"Mnhm." Asher said, with a nod, but not bothering to look up. He continued to leave lines against the wrinkled paper. He paused momentarily, putting the quill down, and looking up at her finally. He offered a smile. "Back already? Quite quick if I do say so myself. I'm sure it's no record, though." He said with a grin.

"You seem a little disturbed....Or perhaps it's me. Is something wrong?" He asked her, looking over her form. She had no blood on her, as he expected from such an elderly vampire.

"No, nothing's wrong...But not being able to smell properly irritates me," I answered, walking in. "It's not fast; it's normal for me." I walked into the mausoleum, and sat back against the wall where I had left my sketching. It was done, so I only put it off to the side. "Normally I'd be asleep by now...but I can't exactly sleep all the time. Did you have any more questions...or want to hear a story or two? I'm just a little bored here..."

He turned to face her as she wlaked in, leaving his parchment on the stoop. "Oh? If you'd be asleep right now, would you like me to leave? I don't mind. I know you need sleep just like the rest of us!" He said politely. "I've no more questions that simply cry out to me....But I wouldn't mind a tale." He said. He walked towards her, and leant against the wall.

"So, have you done much in your life? I mean, to have tales, surely your tell them of experience. I don't mind fairy tales, but they just don't thrill me like they did when I was a child." He would say, looking over at her. She had parchment as well...perhaps she kept writing as he did....

"No; I've hunted, that'll keep me up for a while," I answered, looking back up at him. I slid the parchment into one of my hiding places, behind one of the dead bodies. "I've traveled a bit, trying to learn whatever I could, though I can't say I've been in many fights. But we can get to that later. We can see about answering your questions for now." Fairy tales? It had been a while since I had even thought about those...I think I had stopped when I became a vampire, and found that all those stories called vampires disgusting and ugly creatures that wanted nothing more than sucking blood. I pushed those thoughts away. "Well, what other questions are there for me to answer?"

He rubbed his chin as his racked his mind for questions... with little avail. There was little he needed to know about vampires, so he simply began to bring questions up off the top of his head.

"Are there "Half Vampires"? And if not, what is the resulting offspring?" He asked this one with particular interest, grinning like the childish boy he was on the inside.

"How often do vampires need to feed? And what is the maximum extent of time between each feeding? And, what would happen if a vampire starved him or herself? And lastly, how much is concidered...I'm not sure what to call it...a meal... how much blood is concidered a meal to a vampire?"

"There are half vampires...or rather, were. There aren't any, and haven't been any in a long time." That grin again...something was wrong with him in the head. Generally, younger vampires can go for longer without feeding; I'm much too set on a weekly pattern to go one more day than my usual once a week. Younger vampires can go longer without feeding, and can have an irregular pattern. One disadvantage of being such an old vampire; I have to run on a schedule for feeding patterns. A younger vampire, though, can go at the very least a month without blood, unless injured. Having blood will speed up the healing process. And if a campire starves themself, they're pretty much killing themselves off. We can't starve to death, but it will weaken us, and make the vampire mentally unstable and unsafe for even another vampire to be around. A vampire can drink the blood of another vampire, though it isn't common, and human blood does taste better than ours. Well, to us, anyway. And usually one person is enough for a meal, though appetites can change the same way humans do; it can depend on energy, sleeping patterns, and if they usually eat more than one, then they'll take more than one to feel...not full, really...it's a little different..." How do I explain that one?

(sorry it took so long to reply; had to take driver's test)

Asher nodded deeply, understanding.... "I believe I understand." He started out. "I'm smart enough to know why there aren't any half-breeds...and the blood thing... The meal, per se, is dead, after draining them of blood? Or is he just left in a state of shock or something?" He asked. It didn't seem like a stupid question as it entered the air, but the more he thought about it...

"Could, in theory, someone drain the blood from a human, contain it in a bottle, and the vampire use that as sustance? Thus breaking the need to feed as often?" He asked curiously, but with a serious inflection. "And why not, if they couldn't?" He said. He looked over her....and yet was riddled with more questions that he wanted to ask about her....quite embarassing ones, actually.

"That depends. To have a full meal, we do need to kill them. Though I suppose a vampire could feed on multiple people, and leave enough blood for them to survive. A vampire could, in theory, take only a small sip, not even enough to cause a shock, though that would mean hunting for longer. I've really only seen one vampire do that, but that meant he was out hunting all night; literally. He was just that bored." Though why a vampire would waste it's time trying to hunt from every single individual in the area was beyond me. Probably wanted everyone to know there were vampires. "And I suppose, theoretically, a vampire could bottle the blood, though that would be esasier if they bit a different spot; the wrist, for example, would make a better choice for that. However, vampires prefer their meals...warm. Bottling it up and saving it for later would cool it down too much and, since fire kills us so easily, we have no way we trust to warm it up. It's entirely possible...but hunting on a regular schedule ensures that the blood we drain is still warm." I was watching him carefully, more trying to find why he wanted to know everything than anything else. But it seemed like there was a little hint of embarrassment....what sort of questions were coming, then?

Asher gathered his guts, taking a deep breath. He readied himself for the question, but was going to stagger it with other questions. "In theory...Vampires could go out during the daytime if they protected their eyes from the sun, correct? I mean, I know it weakens them, but by all means, would it be plausable?" He would ask sheepishly.

"Also, are there any long term side-effects of a Vampire staying out in the sunlight for extended periods? Is there any pain involved?" He asked right afterwards. His questions were...leading up to something. You could almost feel it. No, you could feel it...

Finally, he turned, his face the brightest shade of crimson that you had seen yet. Though he was clearly embarassed, it didn't seem to phase his curiously happy outlook or cheerful voice. "....Because...well, I was wondering if you'd like to spend a day with me sometime? I mean, you stay here all the time...surely you'd like to enjoy the city even for a day." He said, placing his hands behind his head with a smile. But...the smile was different. Instead of his usual, wild or goofy grin, his smile seemed sincere, and soft.

I watched his face turn red rather quickly. So that was what that was about... "The sun doesn't weaken us...but even if our eyes are protected...ah, how to put this...I guess, if we look at anything in the sun - even something as simple as the ground, or anything - will hurt. Though...I don't think one day would hurt much, really. I haven't known a vampire to try...but I have seen vampires that were convinced they were still human, and just had sensitive eyes. He was out in the sun all day...and he didn't quite turn blind until he was wandering around for month at a time..." It was a good thing my blood couldn't rise to my face like his could; he wouldn't be able to tell if I was embarrassed like he was. "A day couldn't hurt...but I don't have anything to protect my eyes, aside from my own hair."

"Mmph! Blast.I'd hate to cause any pain to you, Songrose." He stated quickly. "I wish that it was different, and that stores and shops and restaraunts were open at night..." He said, scratching his chin as if to think for a minute...."Well, I might could ask a personal favor to one of my friends, but I'm not sure how well it'd go over. Not to mention, the place in question is not suitable for you.... No, no, you need something much nicer." He said to himself, looking over her in the pale moonlight.

"I'm sure we can figure something out, though." He said, turning towards her. He didn't want to push it so very far so early, but as he stepped close to her, he would take up her hand, his grasp was intially rough, but became warm and comforting. "You just seem so lonely. And I don't want you to feel like that, Song." He said, still smiling softly.

...So this was going the way I had thought it would. "I've become used to being on my own. And I've already inflicted pain upon myself; I don't know that the sun could hurt me as much as I've hurt myself. Not physically, mind you." Not that he needed to know...but it was true enough. ...From the sound of it, allowing him to have his way was to become spoiled for a while. I was well aware of his hand taking mine, but acted as though I hadn't noticed. There was no way it would last long, anyway. Honestly, though, what could he possibly mean, not suitable? Even a place filled with drunken men in a fight would probably be more suitable than he was thinking of. Well...for a vampire, that is. "And I don't think there's ever going to be a place open at night, aside from taverns and such. Humans sleep at night, and so their stores will be closed. It's just the way it is." I thought for another minute. "...But you know...I don't think it would hurt if I went out during a really cloudy day; like during a thick downpour...but you probably don't want to get soaked."

Asher looked gleeful as she came out with the most plausable excuse to be out during the day. "Perfect, Song! Me? Mind getting wet? Bah! Water is water, and I don't believe that getting wet will hamper my time with you. And it's not like it'd make a difference to me!" He claimed, grinning again. "We just hope that the weather plays along, and we might get to spend the day together!"

He looked her over again. "And, would you have any idea what you'd like to do during your trip to town? I mean...it's not like there is terribly much to do, but do you have an idea? Eat somewhere nice, visit a few stores, anything you'd wish to during your trip!" He felt like he should've picked her up and spun with her, but he figured that that might be going a tad far.

He seemed to be having such a nice time, when suddenly, his cheerful, elated facial expression turned to a look of curiosity. "...What will I wear...?" He said, looking blankly to the side.

I had to stop myself from laughing. He looked elated. "Well...I don't all know what there is there to do. I've only gone at night. ...And it's not like I have money; so it's kinda limited on what costs what, and what you can afford to waste," I warned. I live out here; didn't have to pay rooming. I fed off people; no costs for my food. I had no need for money out here. Even my outfit was made of clothing I had stolen. ...At least he didn't mind getting wet. ...When did he stop using my full name? When did Songrose turn into Song? ...At least he didn't use my brother's name for me. He started wondering about what to wear. I shook my head. "Does it matter what you wear? It's going to get soaked regardless. And, of course, being out in the rain always bring the possibilities of you getting sick. We don't know when it will next rain, either."

Asher looked at her as she withheld a laugh. At least his attitude was making her cheerful. "Money is hardly an issue. I've about 30 gold on me right now. It shouldn't cost five for a great meal for two." He said brightly. " It's just so fantastic, Songrose! I cannot express it!" Looking as if he could jump up and down for hours upon end...

"And as for getting sick? I've been around Lester for longer than five minutes before. I'm pretty sure my immune system can block any foul disease that roamed the earth with ease. You can't get much worse than being around a cockroach all day long." He said with a chuckle. "And if I get sick, bah! A cold won't do anything but slow me down for a few days. It's not as if I couldn't get over it." He finally was unable to control himself anymore, and embraced her tightly.

...Maybe he was getting a little over-excited, I thought, as he embraced me. "I suppose...if it won't make you broke, there isn't an issue. ...Though again, we don't know when it will rain like that," I pointed out. Not that he seemed to be paying too much attention; he was much too excited to pay attention to anything that might put out his current mood. "And I wasn't exactly talking about a cold; pnemonia can be possible because we do need a heavy downpour. And being around someone like him can't exactly do anything for your immunity...maybe a more physical defense..."

"Metaphorically, Songrose. Symbolically. He is a cockroach? Cockroaches carry diseases? Being around disease constantly makes you prone to them?" He said with a laught, more or less not carring that she didn't understand his crazy meanings. He let go of her, and took a deep breath. "Aaaah. This time I can say happily that I await the rain! It would be most delightful if it would happen in just the next few days!" He said lightly.

"More or less, Miss Songrose, I'm not afraid to do any task around town. We could enjoy a fine meal, then go for a stroll or...hell, I cannot even think of anything, but it is alright. We shall quite find out when the day arrives, shall we not, Songrose?" He said, almost melodically.

I shook my head. "Metaphorically means very little to me. Though I do understand...doesn't necesarily mean I like using metaphors." I felt better when people said something that I didn't have to think about the symbloistic meanings. "But I did say a heavy downpour; not rain. If the clouds aren't thick enough to block the sun, it won't do me any good. The clouds have to be pretty much black, and very thick," I added. It wasn't rain we needed to wait for, it was a very thick downpour we needed. "I suppose we shall find out when the day comes, though. Maybe we'll just find something to do on a whim...or something." I paused a moment. "Was that all your questions? Or did you want to hear a tale? Though you might have to give me a general idea for a tale; I have no idea which to start with."

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

i never get bored of an rp...i just wait for someone else to post, cuz i'm usually either the last one to post, or don't have anything i can reply to, and wait for them...and it did seem to be just gthe 2 of us posting...though there were 3 other characters made...1 didn't even make 1 post...and the other 2 made 1 post each and then stopped...and which new one? the gang one? only 3 other characters so far, and i don't think any of them realize that i've even made a post there yet

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

Ah, well, I can start posting again. I just assumed you were bored of it. Although, I think we were the only ones that posted....

What about that new RP you made not too long ago? How's it working out so far?

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

...i hope this isn't dead, either...i was having fun with this one...actually, i just need something more to do...and this would have kept me busy, trying to come up with the long posts that seem to make up the entire rp...i think our shortest post here was 1 paragraph...

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

lol, yeah, i know...i think that's the longest conversation i've ever had with only one other person in a rp

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

CFd, I'm super impressed. We almost have two pages worth of banter.

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

umm...ok...but you need to submit the character normally...you submit the second character you make, if you choose to make one, here

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

This is my character.

Name: Inutero the Impaler
Age: 1000
Appearance: The tall, pale, and hansom type, his skin reflecting his personality of dungeon dwelling. His hair was obsidian black, long enough to reach his waist. He preferred to let his bangs fall over his face and to the sides with gravity. His eyes were an ice cold shade of sky blue, only complimenting his albino skin. His body was rather trim, almost starved. He was the perfect picture of beauty in the eyes of the modeling industry.
His clothing was rather unconventional however. His entire outfit was styled like a German raver in a scary dominatrix scene. Studded metal on his leather suspenders that accented his chest, pointing out his muscles, or slight lack of. They connected to a studded red belt attached to black leather chaps and a pink fanny pack, housing a few personal effects. Underneath, he hides his shame in red latex spankies, as it would be horrifying to let something so personal run free. Knowing that this all would horrify the average person, he covers his costume with a black trench coat, and a comfortable pair of red crocs.
History: Ever since the years of Christ, Inutero searched long and far for a place to rule over. He's always considered human's inferior to his race and culture. He would eventually conquer land in Israel. His infamy would start due to his sadistic qualities. He was also known for his lust, as at some point, every hour in his castle, there was lustful actions taking place.

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

that's okay...it's mostly been talking, anyway

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

Sorry, I'm taking so long with a post, I've been kind of distracted..

Will get on it as soon as I can.

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

just go ahead and sumbit your character, because it's your first; if i see anything wrong, i will send you a pm to ask you to change it...any characters you make after that first one should be posted here, and not actually submitted...still wait for the okay, though

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

Oh, good! Would you rather me post a character here in the OOC or just go ahead and submit a character?

Re: [OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

Well, this surely does sound a bit interesting! :) If it's all right, I'd gladly join this RP.

[OOC] Vampire Wars (Revival)

"Vampire Wars (Revival)"

Alright; the first kinda...died on me. so, any secondary characters you have should be posted here, not as a regular character; keeps me from getting all confused. :P And any questions you have should also be asked here. Also...before we start, I think we should use the OOC here to organize a little bit. Figure out who's in what gangs, and what they do in each gang, and who your leader is (unless you are leader, then it's figuring out who's under you).

I'll be looking at the OOC as often as possible to answer questions, but if I'm not getting to you fast enough, send a pm; I'll get to it as soon as possible. So...enjoy!
