Ivie smiled a bit bigger, "You got it." She walked off to the kitchen, not even having to duck out of the way for other waitress to pass. She slid into the kitchen and made her way over to the desserts and hot him the best looking slice of their red velvet cake. She was tempted to eat it bit decided against it and walked over to his table, placing it down in front of him. "And I thought my twentieth birthday red velvet cake was the bomb, but this right here.... if the meal doesn't bring you back this slice of cake will." She placed a fork next to it. "Enjoy!" She said before going tend to other tables.

Blair smiled and watched her walk away, she sure was short. Blair knew he was pretty tall, but god damn was this woman tiny. He waited till she brought out some red velvet cake, which was coincidentally one of his favorites. She mentioned her twentieth birthday and he sighed with relief. It didnt really matter if he flirted now. He dug into the cake, it was one of the best red velvet cakes he had ever had, if not the best. And Blair had a thing for cake, so he would know. It was quite obvious on his face that he was very happy with the cake.

Ivie watched him eat the cake and smiled. She had suckered another one to come back to the restaurant. Turning back to Heather she look leaned on her. "You should tell Daniel that I deserve a raise for bringing customers." They both laughed knowing full well there were no such thing as raises only promotions and that meant Ivie would stay were she was. She sighed and helped her other customers and when he was finished with the cake she went back to him. "You look like my son when I give him muffins. I am going to take a wild guess and say red velvet is your favorite cake?" She asked laughing.

Blair chuckled. "Almost! Second favorite, but this ones so good it might just bump it all the way to number one. And your son must really like muffins. Theyre basically just cake disguised cleverly as breakfast food, which I appreciate. Not as much as donuts though." He said with a smile. Blair seemed to realize something just then. "Oh, I seem to have become a stereotype." He chuckled.

Ivie held the back of her hand against her lips as she tried to hold back a laugh, but it escaped against her own will. "I guess you have. I know a guy who sells pretty good donuts. The cafe just down the street, melt in your mouth." She smiled and slipped him the bill. "Just flag me down when you are ready to pay, okay?" Ivie said before hurrying over to a table that was staring her down. She got their food and brought it back to them before picking up plates and bringing them in the kitchen. Ivie came back out. She seemed to glide around the floor like she could do it with her eyes close.

Blair nodded and and watched her seemingly glide across the floor. She was a waitress but she made the job look graceful. Blair waited until she wasnt super busy anymore and flagged her down again, paid for his meal and left her a twenty dollar tip. She was a really good waitress and he had gotten to eat out alone without getting hit on for once. "You mentioned donuts right? Well since you know about the best red velvet cake i've ever had, I assume you must know the best donut too right? Maybe you'll let me take you to the cafe some time, show me just how good these donuts are? I'm warning you though, I'm an expert on donuts, obviously"

Ivie hurried over got his money and got his change before accepting his tip. She smiled, "Thank you! Hmm... this puts so much pressure on me, but I accept. I work amazingly under pressure. If it is the best donut you ever had then you have to come back and eat here again. Sounds like a deal?" She asked, smirking up at him. Ivie had no idea what the hell she was getting into. Inside she was screaming no, but if he became a regular customer then it was worth it. Like she had the time to go do things with men.

Blair nodded and watched the woman walk a few steps away then turn around to introduce herself. "It's nice to meet you Ivie, I'm Blair." He said shaking her hand, which was super tiny compared to his. "Well then, I'll pick you up here, tomorrow, at eight then. Have a good rest of your night, make sure to think about what donut will impress me the most if you want me to come back here!" He said with a chuckle before turning and walking off. Blair headed home, jotted down some case notes, an went to bed a few hours later.

Ivie got dressed and looked herself in the mirror before heading out to Atlas' cafe. It was cold so she hurried into the city. The walk from her house to the bridge that connect the two islands were around a two to three minute walk. The whole trip was about ten or so minutes. So she hurried. When she got to the cafe she didn't see him and when she walked in he wasn't there either. She took a seat in one of the big chairs that tended to swallow her up and waited on the cop to show up.

Blair had a lot to do in the morning with Adrian suddenly leaving, he had to finish up his paperwork for all that before he could meet Ivie. But he had gotten in done before he needed to meet her. He went and changed his clothes and then went to meet Ivie at the cafe she was talking about. It wasnt far from where he lived so he got there in just a short five minute walk. He walked in just in time to see her take a seat in a chair that was much too big for such a tiny woman and had to resist chuckling at the site as he walked up. "Well good morning, Miss Ivie. Comfy are we?" He said with a smile.

Ivie looked up at him and the first word out of her mouth was, "Giant." She laughed and wiggled out of the chair. "Sorry, you are just super tall. Good morning. That chair and me had a moment, it was beautiful." She walked in line with him and saw all the girls staring up at him. It didn't bother her, but one girl was mean mugging her and that bother her. She stuck her tongue out at her, making herself look like more of a child, and the girl backed off. "Okay... so what kind of donuts do you like? The glaze donuts melt in your mouth. I have to be careful and only buy like two or I would eat the whole box." She laughed.

Blair couldnt laugh, most people thought he was tall but no one ever called him a giant. Not to his face anyways. "Oh you did have a magical moment? Such a lucky chair." Blair said as they walked into line. Blair saw the women staring but he was far too used to it at this point, he caught Ivie sticking her tongue out at a girl who was mean mugging her and just smirked a little as he looked at the donuts. "Well, i'm most partial to a plain donut with chocolate glaze, but i'll eat any donut you throw my way, what about you?" He asked.." I get the struggle of eating a whole box by yourself, the box at work doesnt last long after I show up." He said with a chuckle.

Ivie looked up at him, "Glaze is my favorite. Unless I am craving chocolate, then I go for them." She said, stepping up in line. "Those poor people, you take their happiness away one donut at a time." She shook her head and laughed. A woman walked up and smiled at the both of them. "This is cute, you never see a father and daughter coming over here too often." Ivie smirked. She was going to play along with it. She smiled and batter her eyes innocently. "Yeah, we come once a month. Daddy works all the time, so we come here and spend the whole day together. Ever since mom died... it has been hard, but we try our best." The woman about swooned.

"A man who cares for his daughter... that is so... touching." She smiled up at him.

Blair was incredibly confused at first, though he knew better than to let that register on his face. He smiled down at the woman. "Yeah, I make sure to take time off so i can have a special day with my special little lady." He said patting Ivie's head like you would a childs. The waitress about fell over, but quickly scrambled to gain her composure again and asked them what theyd like. Blair ended up getting a box full of donuts, half glazed and half chocolate glazed. And then he ordered a regular black coffee. "Oh, and whatever my lovely daughter would like to drink as well." He said patting her head again. She was so short he couldnt help but want to do that.

Ivie giggled, "Orange juice please." They waited and Ivie grabbed her drink and the box of donuts. "Sorry, daddie-o, but I can't trust you not to run off with the box." She smiled brought them back to the big chair and table. There was one identical to it across from her and when he sat down he didn't get eaten by it like she did. She glared at him playfully before grabbing a glazed donut. "You go first." She smiled.

Blair just laughed at her little comment, she was right. The donuts werent safe if he got a hold of them.He reached over and grabbed a donut, looking it over. "It almost feels wrong eating a donut that looks this good.." He said before taking a bite. Ivie was right, these donuts really did just melt in your mouth. Blair was in his own little heaven for a second before he snapped out of it. "Alright, alright, You win, looks like i'll be a regular at your restaurant. I didnt know a donut could be this good" He said with a chuckle before taking another bite.

Blair... how long have you been working for the police? And what exactly do you do? Is it the cool stuff or just those that walk around the street patrolling?" She asked, mostly so he wouldn't steal all the donuts. She tried the chocolate one next.

Blair was munching away happily at his donut, enjoying every bite when Ivie started asking questions. "Oh, well I'm a detective in the violent crimes and sex crimes unit. So no, i dont do much patrolling of the streets. I mainly only work on murder cases for the violent crimes unit though, they've got me teamed up with the coroners office. I'm not sure that qualifies as "the cool stuff" though." He explained before taking a sip of the cofee he had. Even that was heaven in a cup. "THe coffee is good too..How id you find this place? I walk by it all the time, but never stopped in. I've been missing out apparently.
