Amiras's home is on the outskirts of the city away from most of the business of the inner city. Treelines separate her home from her neighbors, giving her home a good bit of privacy. It has two spacious bedrooms and two baths both located on the second floor of the house. Downstairs along with the living room and kitchen there is a study and a door to a porch on the side of the house next to a sun room near the back. It has a decent sized backyard.

Weston washed the dishes before setting them up to dry, turning around to look at Amira with a smile. "There we go," he murmured, grabbing a towel to dry off his damp hands. "All cleaned up. So, what do you normally do after dinner?" he asked, genuinely curious as to how she liked to pass her time when she wasn't working. She seemed like an interesting person, and given that he was living with her, he was finding himself wanting to get to know her.

Amira shrugged a little bit. "Read, go on another run, clean. Sometimes when its nicer out I sit in the sun room or on the porch with some tea. Some times I get reallly crazy and sit in front of the fireplace with a glass of wine and chocolate. You know, things any typical twenty six year old woman would do when shes at home, duh." She said.

Weston smiled as he listened. He had to admit that it all sounded quite pleasant, especially the part about sitting by the fire with wine and chocolate. "Well, you'll have to forgive my lack of experience with twenty-six-year-old women," he told her with a laugh. In truth, the women with whom he had experience led much different lifestyles from what Amira was describing. Her pastimes sounded much more relaxed and easygoing. He had a feeling that he could be very content living here with her.

Amira giggled a little bit. "Well I think you'll find that me and wine are very good friends. You're free to join me if you ever catch me with a bottle and chocolate in front of the fire." She said and looked up at the cupboard where she kept all her wine, trying to decide if it was a good idea to do that tonight or not. She had chocolate of course, and there was nearly always wine too, and a fire did sound kind of nice. She blinked and looked over at him. "I'm a little more boring than most girls my age, not a fan of going to bars or shopping till my feet fall off." She said.

Weston smiled a bit. He followed her gaze as she looked towards the cupboard, and he could only assume that it had to be where the wine was stashed. He wouldn't help himself, of course, but it was good to know in case he decided to buy any of his own and needed to know where to stash it - as long as he put his name on it, there shouldn't be a problem. "I'll have to take you up on that offer some time," he told her. "And it hardly sounds boring. A crackling fire, some expensive wine, some rich chocolate - I don't know how anyone could resist," he said with a grin. "The only thing it'd be missing is a good book."

Amira looked over t the man who was now her room mate and wondered about him and his apparent liking for chocolate, wine and a fire. Most men wouldnt be down for any of that unless they were getting something afterwards in the form of sexual favors. She smirked over at him. "Well, mister author man, if you happen to know any good books, you'll have to tell me about them wont you." She said, a little sass to her voice.

A slight smirk came to Weston's lips when she asked him about good books. "I happen to have a great one in my bag," he said after a moment's delay, clearly considering whether or not he'd actually brought it with him. "I mean, I sure thought it was great. It's a romance with some drama and a little action in it. Takes place under the sea - the characters are all merfolk. Lots of humour. It didn't do so well in sales but the people who did read it all said they enjoyed it," he said with a smirk.

Amira smirked. "If your last name is Page, I already own it." She said and walked over and pulled the book from the shelf, she had bought it a while back and read it at least twice so when he started talking about merfolk and humor she knew exactly what he was talking about. She showed the book to him. "See? Ive read it twice already, its earned its place in my book shelf." She said with a smile.

Weston's eyes widened as she took the book from her shelf, his jaw dropping the moment he saw it. He reached out gently snatching it from her and turning it over. "Amazing," he breathed before looking up at her. "I had no idea that there were even copies of my book this far from where it was initially published." He paused suddenly, holding the book back out to her. He didn't think he'd mentioned his last name to her, so she hadn't known who he was until now. "This is...the oddest coincidence," he said slowly, unsure what to say now.

Amira couldnt help but laugh at his reaction. "I picked it up while I was traveling in the kingdom. Needed something to read during long carriage rides, and I have to say, it did me well to have chosen that one." She said with a smile. "An odd coincidence indeed." She said softly, looking up at the man. He didnt really look like an author, more like an ex-knight or something like that, but day one wasnt the time to ask him about the scars and things like that, that she had seen. "I enjoy the book a lot, I dont see why it hadnt done well in sales, perhaps you just needed a better publisher."

Weston grinned down at her, quite pleased to hear her comments. "Well, I'm very glad to hear that," he said, leaning back against the counter and resting his hands on the edge of it at his sides. "It could very well have been the publisher. I've got a new publisher for my new book - the old one didn't want my new book after how poorly the sales went for my first - and I'm hoping this one goes over better. I trust that I'll have a buyer in you?" he said, smirking a bit. He hoped she wouldn't ask what the new book was about, since he wasn't entirely ready to divulge that information yet.

Amira turned and walked to the table to tidy things up since she had moved the decor around a little before they ate and she looked over her shoulder. "Well that all depends on what its about." She said with a little bit of a smirk. Of course, she'd buy and read his next book when it was to come out either way since she liked the last one. But he didnt need to know that.

Weston caught Amira's little smirk and he grinned a bit. "Now, I can't tell you that just yet," he said with a playful reprimanding waggle of his finger. "And don't think you can go get a sneak peek in the study, either, as tempting as it may be," he added with a laugh. He doubted she'd do such a thing, though. She seemed the honest sort.

Amira raised an eyebrow. "Well good, cant have you spoiling the surprise now can I?" She said. "I wont be spoiling the surprise for myself either. What fun is that?" She said and finished messing with the table and walked back over before getting a bottle of wine down and a couple of glasses. "You want a glass, Mr. writer?" She asked.

Weston grinned. He'd had a feeling that she could be trusted with the integrity of his novel, but to hear her confirm it was a bit of a relief. Still wouldn't stop him from grabbing a safe for the bottom of the closet when he was out, though. His grin shifted into a slight smirk at the sight of the wine and he gave a quick nod. "I most certainly would," he replied, now becoming curious about her tastes in wine. He knew that his taste tended to be on the dreadfully expensive side, but he was sure that a woman who made chocolate as divine as hers would likely have good taste in wine.

Amira smiled and nodded. She only kept wine that paired will with chocolate, and only good wine paired with chocolate so she didnt mind spending the extra money on the good stuff. She poured them each a glass, got out some chocolates better suited to more mature tastes to pair with the wine and walked over to the fireplace, setting them down on the coffee table between the two arm chairs and started the fire before sitting down with her wine.

Weston followed Amira out, his honey-brown eyes locked on the chocolates that she'd selected. She'd specifically seemed to seek these ones out, which meant that they must have been the ones to go the best with the wine. She was clearly a woman of exquisite taste. There was no doubt in his mind now that they'd be fast...well, not friends, because he doubted he could bring himself to trust her quite that much with himself, but they'd be buddies. He sat down in the second armchair and took his glass of wine, holding his glass up towards her slightly. "A toast to not being horrible roommates?" he offered.

Amira looked over and held her glass up too. "To not being horrible roommates" She said and took a sip of her wine before sighing and relaxing into her chair and watching the fire dance in the fire place. A moment later she took a chocolate and popped it in her mouth before slouching in her chair even more. "This is pretty much the life." She sighed.

Weston chuckled a bit before taking a sip. The wine tasted exquisite and...familiar. He wasn't sure how he felt about that. For a few moments he gazed into the flames, appearing pensive until he noticed the movement beside him of Amira grabbing a chocolate. He, of course, promptly had to do the same and he took a chocolate as well, smiling as he at it. It was definitely the right one to pair with the wine. "I could get pretty well used to this life," he told her with a smile. "If you don't mind my asking, what kind of wine is this?"

Amira laughed a little bit and shook her head at the man next to her. It was true she enjoyed finer things like this her tribe didnt have wine, or chocolates, and they most certainly did not relax at home in front of a fireplace like this. And they were sorely missing out too. "Oh uhm, its Chateau Peymouton Bordeaux I believe. Its a blend infused with plum and cherry. I chose it to offset the bitterness of the dark chocolate and accent the slight fruity notes of it." She said with a little bit of a shrug. "Had to learn all this stuff, guys buying their significant others often ask for a wine pairing too." She explained.

Weston nodded slightly as he listened. The name definitely seemed to ring a bell, though he couldn't quite place it. He was impressed by her explanation as to why she had chosen this one with the chocolates. She definitely knew her stuff. He set the wine glass down on the table and clapped a few times with a chuckle. "I must say, I'm impressed," he told her with a grin. "I certainly couldn't have pieced together all that myself. It's clear you care a great deal about your work."

Amira giggled a little at hi clapping. "Well a wise old man once told me that if you dont care a great deal about what you're doing, do something else. I couldnt think of anything better for me to do that I would enjoy as much as making chocolate." She said and sipped her wine and then popped another chocolate in her mouth while thinking. "Well and I thought I should learn because theres nothing like a bad pairing to mess up the taste of the chocolate, cant have people not liking it because they paired things that conflict with each other taste wise." She said and then looked over. "We kinda look like a middle aged rich couple enjoying an evening drink." She said, thinking it was kind of funny. "Well, all thats missing is you with a glass of scotch instead of wine."

Weston was silent for a moment, contemplating her words. If you dont care a great deal about what you're doing, do something else. That was very sound advice, indeed. "Whoever gave you that advice was certainly a wise old man," he agreed after a minute or so of contemplation. When she remarked that they looked like a rich old couple he chuckled, glancing her way. "I didn't realize scotch was an option," he teased, smirking. "Maybe next time."

Amira smirked. "Theres scotch, and brandy, and bourbon if ya want it....And vodka if you're feeling like making mistakes. Tequilla if you crave feeling like you're dying in the morning too" She said smirking over at him. Vodka was the cause of a few almost mistakes for her so Amira steered clear of it after a drunken night with her old room mate. She kept most of the liquor for experimenting with chocolate and fillings, but that never stopped the occasional drink at night. "Most of its for use in chocolates. I'm not an alcoholic I swear." She said with a giggle.
