Riku Mizushima's Story

Riku lay there awake in his bed as his boy friend slept next to him. Riku was small in comparison to Sora... and it was a little frustrating at first to be so small, but Riku was used to it now. He sat up with a sigh. He was naked, and usually slept naked, but with that new kid, Taiki here, Riku was a little worried that he might go into their room for something or other. Riku looked at the time and saw it was still to early to wake up Sora for work. Haruki should be on his way over to take Taiki to school.

Riku new Haruki from high school. Haruki showed him around the school when Riku first showed up. Of course he was 2 grades younger than him and now Riku was in college, but Riku thought it would be a good idea to stick Taiki into his old high school.

Taiki only slept in the room next door and hoped he hadn't heard the noises that him and Sora were making last night. That would've made it hard for him to sleep.... right? Groaning and moaning while you were trying to sleep... that's not good for a kid, right?

Haruki sighed as he walked to over to Riku's house. Apparently they'd gotten a new kid or something, even though both Riku and Sora were probably too young (at least in Haruki's opinion) to raise someone. A headache was starting to form in the back of his head. It would probably be throbbing within five minutes. I guess this is what I get for partying all the time... With a yawn, Haruki scratched the back of his head as he walked up the front porch stairs and rang the doorbell. He was only taking this kid along to make things easier on Riku. Having to take care of another person, even if it was only getting him to school was not his favorite thing to do. But Riku had been a good friend, especially when they were in high school. Before he met Sora and got... involved.

Haruki wondered what this new kid would be like. God I hope he's not a morning person. Or too cheery or energetic. I don't know how much I could handle right now. But still. Why in the world would you want to take care of a kid at such a young age? Not even out of college. The thought of having to take care of someone at such a young age made Haruki wince inwardly, but even though Haruki disagreed with the whole situation, he had decided to keep his mouth shut and support Riku. And Sora. Well, Sora and Haruki didn't seem to get along all that well but whatever. Sometimes personalities clash.

Sora had always seemed too uptight and possessive to Haruki. He didn't understand how Riku didn't feel suffocated with those stern eyes always watching. Then again, love is a weird thing. That Haruki hadn't really experienced yet. Except for that one time in middle school, but that doesn't really count seeing as it had been with a boy.

Not long after Riku woke up did Sora follow. He opened his eyes groggily and at once had his eyes focused on his lover. He eyed his bare back before sitting up himself and kissed Riku's back while mumbling, "Morning." The sweet moments of last night still lingered in his thoughts as he wrapped his arms around Riku in a sleepy hug, taking in his boyfriend's scent. Oh how he wished to be able to hold him like that more often. But with work...

Work. All at once, reality hit him, and Sora opened his eyes irritatingly. He turned his head slowly to the wall, which was also the wall of that kid's room. How long has it been since Taiki moved in? Not long, right? Speaking of Taiki, he has to go to school now, right? And Sora has to go to work...

Sora nuzzled his face into Riku's neck with a sigh and squeezed him tight briefly before standing up, exposing his manly glory to put on some clothes. Thoughts of how to deal with Taiki, as well as Haruki who was coming, flooded his brain and he grunted while putting on pants. To ease his mind, he said softly while looking at Riku, "Need help dressing up?" He does not want to face the boy so early in the morning. It would be good if Haruki picked him up and left before he left the room, he hoped.

Riku smiled a Sora, seeing as he was now awake. Riku watched as his boyfriend stood uo and begun to get dressed. when he offered ro help him dress himself, Riku smirked and replied, "I may look three, but i can certainly dress myself." Riku stoop up, exposing his kch smaller body to the open, and simply slipped on some loose sweatpants and a t-shirt. He began to brush his hair as the door bell went off. Without saying another word, Riku left the rom and headed to the front door. he opened the door to se Haruki.

Riku rubbed the sleepiness out of his eyes befre turning to call Taiki. "Taiki! You ned to ge going!" Riku yawned as he turned back to look at Haruki. "You went to party on a school night? Really?" Riku sighed. "Don't deny it. I can see it all over your face."

Haruki jumped a little when the front door opened. Riku looked like he'd just woken up. Not surprising. Haruki shrugged and rolled his eyes when Riku mentioned the party. "Yeah, I did go to a party. It's not a sin y'know. You should come with me sometime, have a little fun." Haruki looked around Riku into house, curious to see what the new kid looked like. He wasn't down yet, so Haruki turned back to Riku. "Make sure you don't freak your- the new kid out too soon. I'm sure he already has a lot to get used to."

Reaching into his bag, Haruki searched for a piece of hard candy. Somehow it always ended up falling into the bottom of his bag, which was always a pain in the ass. Finally feeling one, Haruki unwrapped it and put it in his mouth. He was in quite the foul mood, seeing as his headache was starting to turn into a migraine. Haruki glanced down at his watch and sighed. "You know we only have 15 minutes to get to class, right? School isn't that far away but still... I can't afford to be late again today or I might get kicked out of class. Normally I wouldn't care, but I am trying to get a job."

Haruki wasn't a very open person, but he trusted Riku enough to tell him about what was going on in his life. Though there weren't ever many details, it was enough to get the message across. Even after knowing someone like Riku for 2 years, Haruki was still self-conscious and insecure. He didn't want to give too much information away for fear of getting hurt. At the moment though, all he really cared about was making it to English on time.

Riku listened quietly to Haruki. It was one of the things Timid did the best. People talked, and Riku listened. When Hark mentioned the job, Riku couldn't help but ask which job he planned on going for. Maybe he could hepatitis the kid get one..."What kind of job," Riku asked, before he remembered that Haruki would be late. He then turned and shouted into the house, "Taiki! Haruki is waiting for you!"

Riku was tired and exhausted. He was worried about the kid. And it was weird because he never worried about anyone. Not even Sora. Riku knew that Sora was strong and could take care of himself. He knew that he didn't needed to be worried about. Riku trusted him and believed in his boyfriend. Taiki on the other hand... He was under his grandmother's care until she died. Riku and his grandmother were very close. She was the one that helped him get out of homeschooling in the first place.

Sora chuckled as Riku dressed himself up. He was trying to hint at something, but it's alright. They have eternity to spend with each other after all. It took a lot of Sora's patience to not do something to Riku in public. He just really, really loves him. Only him. He watched Riku leave the room and chuckled once more. "I'm the one who undresses you, though."

While Sora was dressing up and getting ready for work, he thought about Taiki. The boy did not leave a very good impression the day he came. It was understood that he was not in support of his and Riku's relationship. Sora has held down his ground and hasn't done anything unreasonable yet, but he's not sure how long he can keep his patience. If it was just another person passing by in the street, he wouldn't care at all. But Taiki is going to be living with them from now on. Riku would have to face such hateful atmospheres everyday. Sora could tell that it was going to take awhile to teach that boy a lesson.

Sora finished preparing and came out of the room clad in a dress shirt and black slacks. He didn't have any work on the field today; he just had to do some paperwork. Which was good since he would be let off early today. More time with Riku. Sora arrived near the doorway right when Taiki said something which was quite offensive to homosexuals. Something that was offensive to both he and Riku. When Taiki reached the end of driveway, Sora took his place beside Riku and gave a hard stare to Taiki. He's going to have to correct him when he returns. Sora may be a little arrogant, but he's not reckless. He knows how to think things through. But still, he clenched his jaw and took deep breaths. He turned to Haruki and said quietly, "Look after him well, okay? And..." Sora glanced down at Riku. "Please, somehow, try to convince him that we're people too."

Haruki was in shock at how cruel this little punk was. For a second he almost grabbed the back of Taiki's shirt, but he forced himself to stay put. Haruki wasn't usually a very violent person, but today he wasn't in a good mood. Instead, he shook his head and clenched his fists together. He looked at Riku and then at Sora before saying, "Look guys, I don't know if it's my place to say anything, and I know I probably can't understand but uh... Just hang in there. I'm sure he'll come around eventually. If not, I'm not sure I'll be able to watch after him for too long, seeing as he might piss me off too much. I'll do the best I can though."

As Taiki turned back and yelled at Haruki, he almost shot the brat the finger. It was hard to believe that they were even remotely the same age. Haruki just couldn't understand how someone could be so rude on purpose. Of course he'd seen situations like that plenty of times, but it still blew his mind. Even though life could be hard, that didn't mean that people had the right to freely take their anger out on whoever they wanted. So, as Haruki fell into step beside Taiki, he didn't say a word. He figured the kid probably just wanted to be left alone, and now the anger was wearing off, leaving in it's place a feeling of exhaustion and pain. This headache was not treating him well, and the day was already off to a bad start. The bell was about to ring in 10 minutes and they weren't even halfway there.

Riku sighed as he watched Taiki and Haruki leave for school. Maybe school would change Taiki... probably not. Riku shut the door and leaned against Sora. "Do you want some breakfast before you go to work, Sora?" Riku asked quietly before turning to go into the kitchen. Riku was no expert at cooking, but he was always willing to learn. He did pretty good considering he never cooked in his life before he left his mansion.

Taiki was quiet for quite awhile, walking alongside Haruki. It was strange for him to think that he actually found Haruki to be... well attractive. And every so often he found himself sneaking glances at the other boy, only to quickly drop his eyes back to the sidewalk. He wasn't gay. All of this was just his mind playing with him, making him think he could ever be attracted to a guy. Just because at Ms. Mizushima's house there was a boy... just because they kissed once or twice, it didn't mean anything. It was silly, just two boys playing around and testing the others boundaries. Anyways, it had stopped as soon as Tai found that the other boy was developing feelings for him.

"How far away is it?" The first words out of his mouth were fairly dry, not entirely rude but also not very welcoming. Obviously he had meant the school, and he hoped the boy next to him was smart enough to figure that out. They'd be walking for at least ten minutes, and he hadn't even seen the school yet. When did school even start? The first bell probably already rang and he didn't even think they were halfway there. Oh well, Tai still had to go in the office and get his stuff anyways. If this... Haruki kid was any kind of smart, he'd come to the office with him so they could get a late pass. It'd be a good excuse, but he wasn't going to suggest it to the kid. If he wasn't smart enough to think of it himself, oh well.
