Has a tattoo across his left arm in Latin saying, 'DURA LEX, SED LEX,' which translates to 'The law is harsh but it is the law.' Above the text is a two-headed eagle, with the eye of the left head closed, and the eye by the right remains open.

{ O V E R A L L }
Johann is not a very tall man. He is a mesomorph, with short, neat hair. His grey eyes are brilliant and deep, and one would find that it is hard to dismiss his eyes. Despite their beauty, there is some inescapable darkness in them, observing, judging, planning. He has thin lips and a sturdy jawline hidden by his beard. His chin is quite prominent, as well, and in his youth, he was considered a handsome man, but he attempts to cover up his etherial form, and he does it quite well. He has a broad nose with a roundness to it. When he walks, he walks tall and straight, giving him an air of palpable authority, even among those taller than him.

β—† Johann is quite unlike his comrade hunters. Though he values teamwork, his strategies of catching his prey are considered too boring. He is silent and intelligent, but with a small hint of a Napoleonic complex. He thinks of himself as being higher, and thus, acts more like a boss than an actual leader. He hates lazy workers, but he himself is lazy. He usually quotes General Erich von Manstein; "The fourth kind of officer is the lazy, intelligent one. They are deserving of the highest office." He commands from an outpost, occasionally going out with his comrades and hunting down the transgressors and outcasts. He is strictly lawful, and is intolerant of lawbreakers, be it others, or his men. If he breaks a law by accident, he punishes himself by fasting and working extensively. He is merciless once he begins his mission, for he views himself as a son of Nemesis, the goddess of divine vengeance. He believes that the doors of mercy had closed a long time ago when the war ended and the utopia came about. However, he scoffs at the term utopia. It was an impossibility. However, he believes that the dystopian world they lived in was the only thing capable of keeping the greater society alive, to keep out the evils that come with raw human instinct. When he was younger, he was free-spirited, but he studied philosophies in his spare time and his eyes became opened to the law. He became the law. As for his strategy, he merely took out his tactics from Sun Tzu's the Art of War and various other military strategies employed successfully. Honestly, he doesn't enjoy killing people. Instead, he likes to keep them completely incapacitated. If that doesn't stop, immobilise, or discourage them, he would make them pull out their weapons. If they do, then Johann would feel like the right to kill was finally his. He only toys with his prey when it was completely necessary, or if he was in the mood to play with his comrades. However, in the end, his strategy consists of being mobile and taking multiple targets out at once. β—†

{ H I S T O R Y }
Johann was once a soldier who fought in the war. His early life was blurry, but the part about the war–that, he could remember well. He remembered fighting for the side he believed in, the comrades he made, the victories they had–but then the nukes flew. He felt his heart break when his enemies were nuked to dust. He felt he could have done something better. He felt he could have defeated the enemy without a single loss, but the governments of the earth denied him that right of rising to become the next Caesar, or the next Napoleon. The war ended. Many of his comrades were killed off. However, while in the destroyed and ransacked city, he realised he had no money. His powers showed then when he blinded a lone mugger by emitting a great blinding light. The others found him, and tested him. They realised he could not just emit great bright lights, but he could also manipulate light, allowing him to go invisible to others. He did not understand how he became a being of such power, but when he did, he followed the masters of old, and helped the building of Eden. He was a contributor to the dystopian side of things. He wanted complete order, like what he wanted before he became a soldier. He had been authoritative and authoritarian for a long time, and this was his time to shine, or at least create a world that was perfect in his own eyes. The highest of the seraphs accepted and integrated a treatise he drafted into their ways of governance, and it became how things were run from that point on.

The first of the rebels started to come along. Being an experienced soldier, Johann was sent to destroy those who broke the peace. He made his name known to the higher-ups when he dismantled the rebellion without inflicting much casualties. He merely cut them off, starved them out, and imprisoned one of them. He interrogated this person, and found his second ability: the ability to peer into the minds of others and pull out the truth. At first, he was uncertain of the vision he saw, and the voice whispering to him which told him the exact location of the leaders. He found the leaders hiding in an apartment, and he murdered all of them, slaughtered the rebels like pigs. His ability to find the truth was realised, and after that, the demoralisation turned the weak humans into the losers of their own rebellion–the first rebellion to come. They saw his capacity to become a leader of the first hunting units. He hunted down convicted terrorists and plotters, using his abilities as a Seraph to root them out and nip them in the bud before anything big happens. After years, however, he was eventually assigned to a hunting unit outside Eden. He was finally tasked with the destruction of the outcasts. He wanted to question his superiors, but orders were orders. However, when he saw his unit, he was demoralised. He saw that many of them were playful and would not heed to his philosophy of swiftness in what he believed to be a battle against the traitors. This did not stop him, though. He's managed to cope with them somehow, and has begun adapting to their tactics, though as of now, he's only begun to adapt.

So begins...

Image Tattered black sneakers pound the gravel and dirt mixture that was probably at some point in the past green grass and exotic plants. Junsoo's legs carry him across the empty space as fast as they can physically go in a desperate effort to find shelter behind something. Anything. The heavy sack of wood over his shoulder makes staying alive a little harder than it should be and his only form of weapon at the moment is a small pocket knife the boss always makes him carry around and the gathered wood. He can almost hear her scolding him for not having taken something bigger and more practical, or for managing to be separated from Bryant when they're supposed to travel in no less than twos at all times, precisely because of situations like these. It really is a wonder how the twenty-two year old has managed not to get himself killed for this long, what with being one of the most reckless of the bunch. Not that he intended on being separated from him, but they also hadn't intended on being attacked. Seraphs never hint at this time of day, so the pale and slender figure that showed up almost out of the blue had definitely caught them off guard.

What was supposed to be a simple mission to retrieve firewood turned into a race for survival. Now he's backed against the wall of an abandoned building, chest quickly rising and falling and heart on overdrive while he attempts to devise an escape strategy. Unfortunately, that's never been his string suit. Which is probably the main reason Bryant was sent with him. The older has always been best at planning. But he's not with him now, and June hopes he doesn't come looking for him either and opts for heading back to the group instead. This is something he'll have to handle on his own. He can almost smell the seraph closing in on him while his eyes search for some kind of small opening which he can slip through, but there's nothing. As much as he doesn't want to admit it, this may be his last day in No Man's Land.

Arabelle can feel the fear emanating from her prey. He's still close. She's not meant to be hunting right now. She hadn't even thought of coming here to do so. Her intentions were purely to get some fresh air, to get away from the stuffy mansion she was assigned to live in. But she also did not intend on running into such a fascinating target. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights the moment he'd spotted her. Eyes large, terrified and innocent. And she was pleasantly surprised to find he's much more agile than he appears. She's never liked easy targets. After a while it becomes much too tedious. Too boring. But this one, she decides, is worth keeping. There had been another outcast with him, but the two ended up splitting ways and Arabelle's interest was fixed on the smaller of the two from the very beginning. A refreshing change from her usual targets.

Image June's round eyes zero in on his attacker the moment her pale looks come into view and her thin lips twist into a pleased glim. She takes calculated steps towards him, cornering his body between a rusted old car and the decaying cement wall. "You're quite the fighter, I see." He knows reaching for the pocket knife at this point is useless. A slash of the small blade would be like a minor paper cut to a hunter seraph. His fists tighten around the knot of the sack, more than prepared to aim a swing at her head. If he can't use offense, he'll have to settle for defense. But of course it's never that simple. The moment their skin comes in contact, everything is forgotten. Including the fact that he's in deep shit if he doesn't move. His entire body is paralyzed down to the smallest muscle, eyes focused on her face. That's his first mistake. Never look a Seraph in the eyes. "Such a pretty face..." She coos. her voice is soft and soothing, very fitting to the way she looks, while her fingers brush against the side of his face. "I'm definitely keeping you."

One index finger slides under his chin while she carefully studies his face, smiling in satisfaction. As much as he wants to argue that there are much more handsome men in no man's land that she can "keep", his tongue much like every other part of him, is numb. He can't feel or hear a single thing, and all he can see is her face, lips poised and ready to attack.

ImageNika should've known it was a bad idea, a very bad idea but yet no one expected that the
simplest mission of retrieving firewood would turn out so incredibly wrong. When the boss
told her Jun-Soo would go with Bryant, Dominika tried to talk them out of it, and obviously
her attempts failed dramatically. Now she was the one in charge to find June, as they had
been communicated.

"Oh, of course! I'm the Tracker so I'm the one who must go save the lady in danger." The girl
rolled her her eyes and sighed. That was no sacrifice for her, Nika did her job very well done

and she would never complain about it, but that was just her using the natural sarcasm that she so loved. Putting a black jacket on, Nika walked out of their base and started looking for June. After what seemed to be a decade but was actually just twenty minutes, Nika noticed a change in the environment - an ability that not even herself could understand, a mix of intuition and observation skills. The silence started to be broken by almost unhearable whispers. In the exact minute the Seraph attacked June. Sneaking through the abandoned building, Nika slowly moved closer and closer to them.
Finally, once she reached a good distance, the woman grabbed a brick and hit it hard on the Seraph's head. Not even having time to look back to check on the girl, Nika grabbed June's hand and ran inside the building, towards the opposite exit so they could escape and mislead her. She quickly entered another abandoned building a little further and once they could finally breath calmly, Dominika stared at the boy, with intimidating and angry eyes. "What the hell were you thinking?!'

June || "The Vitamin"
Dialogue: #e6e600

Image Despite all of June's efforts to break whatever spell this beautiful and deadly creature was casting on him, he failed. Convinced he was done for, he decided to just stop fighting and wait for what he knew was coming. Except it never came, and the next thing he knew he was being pulled into darkness. "What the hell were you thinking?!' The boy's large eyes blink once, twice, before he realizes he's now face to face with a completely different person. Relief is quick to wash over him and his tense shoulders slump forward, the bag of wood landing with a thud on the floor. "I was thinking if Bry and I split ways, she'd chase after the weaker looking target." He picks up his gaze to meet Niak's eyes, wondering just how tired she is of having to get him out of trouble. "And I was right." he adds in a soft smile for good measure. "The group could live on fine without me, but not without him." June knows she can't argue with his logic. Bryant is the smartest of the bunch, he's also responsible and gets things done. Meanwhile all June has managed to do is get himself into trouble. He can feel Nika's glare on him even if he's not looking at her, and can sense more lecturing coming his way. Luckily, they're interrupted just in time.

"Are you two alright?" Jun's head lifts in the direction of the voice, glad to see Bryant in unscratched. His plan, as harebrained as it may seem, worked. Mostly. "We're okay" he responds immediately, giving the man a thumbs up for whatever it's worth. "And no, I didn't lose the firewood" he adds, gesturing towards the sack resting by his feet. Immediately after, they're joined by Cat and her bluntness. Not that June's every minded it, in fact he's probably one of the few that never takes what she says to heart. His lips twist into a bright smile as he turns to face the small, blonde girl heading over. "Thanks kitty-cat!" Teasing the youngest in the group has become one of his favorite pass times. But now isn't the time to tease or stand around talking. It's highly likely that the blonde seraph came with reinforcements, which means it would be a good idea for them to get back to their home away from home, and soon. "Alright. You guys can lecture me all you want later, but right now we need to get the hell out of here."

Siren || Hypnosis + Sensory control
Dialogue: #00ff00

Image It didn't take long for Arabelle to recover from the blow, partly thanks to her partner and partly because a brick to a seraph's head is hardly a hit. The blonde listens as her friend lectures her about being too impulsive, something Arabelle doesn't normally do. She's not the type to do things on a whim, nor is she the type to act recklessly, but being cooped up in a stuffy mansion for hours tends to make one antsy. "Yes mom, I get it." she mutters with an eyeroll. She gave a quick look in the direction the boy and his savior had ran off to before focusing again on the path ahead of them. "I'll come back for him sooner or later." she says, clinical smirk in place. Once the blonde sets her mind on a target, there's no changing her mind. And the small, pretty boy would make a fantastic play thing.

Eventually the two make it back to the hunters' mansion. Arabelle's feet come to a halt just a few feet from the entrance. Her pale orbs examine the door from top to bottom and a sigh leaves her lips. "Let's not." she says, suddenly turning to face the redhead. Arabelle knows Valentina hates being inside the mansion just as much as she does. It shouldn't take much convincing to get her to go along with whatever Arabelle plans to do. "I really don't feel like looking at the Chief's face right now, or anyone else's for that matter."

Dialogue:#f95802

The shiny, marble floors of the mansion darkened as Valentina's boots tracked in mud. She pouted as she thought about how much better it would be to stay outside. Why did she have to stand on carved stone when plenty of rock existed outside of this stuffy mansion? She loathed the indoors. It felt like a cage. Her alias may be a bird, but that doesn't mean she wants to be treated like one. Valentina couldn't wait for the hunting time to begin. She would do anything to escape this prison.

"Arabelle did you have to scare the outcasts so much? I was planning on studying them."
She didn't expect Nathaniel to be watching them torment the outcasts. He was a mystery to Valentina. She never felt he was never very upfront with her or any of the other Seraphim. She didn't trust him.
"Do whatever you want with them, love." Valentina scrunched her brow, watching as Arabelle tapped her long fingernail against the Nathaniel's lips. "But do keep in mind, the little lost boy is mine." Valentina heard the unsaid ownership in her voice. Arabelle is very possessive of any human that captures her attention. Valentina preferred to play with all of them. To her, focusing on one target may help you, but it gives the human a chance to observe you too. Valentina wouldn't allow consistency to be her downfall.
"Also, must you always watch what I do? One of these days you're not going to like what you see."
Valentina was very familiar with how Arabelle played with the humans. She was a twisted woman, one that Valentina was tasked to be her handler for by the Chief. She started off the assignment with bad intentions, but Arabelle and Valentina clicked in a odd way. Opposites attract she assumed. She had seen Arabelle at her worst and it terrified her in a satisfying way. She was glad to have someone so twisted in her corner. Valentina glanced at the clock on the wall. The chief expected them to meet in the library to discuss strategies or whatever he felt like. He expected everyone prepped and ready before the meeting, almost like a father. She glanced at the pair in front of her. She'd have to be the mother this time.
"Arabelle, go wash your hair. I can see the blood. Nathaniel, make sure the library is straightened up." Nathaniel had a tendency to leave things in disarray. "I'll check on Ramiel."
As she ascended to the bedrooms, Valentina thought of Ramiel. He was the most nonsocial seraph in the group. Valentina was second purely, because of her lack of speech, but she would try to spend time with other seraphs. Ramiel was fascinating in a unique way. She wanted to figure him out. Like her partner in crime (Arabelle), both of them have been know to be stubborn. She went into Rameil's room, unannounced. He was still sleeping. He looked like a sweet angel when he slept. She smiled, tousling his hair while he was unconscious. He's such a precious boy, a key to a new puzzle. She shook him slightly, rousing him from sleep.
"Be grateful it was me who woke you up instead of The Captain."

June || "The Vitamin"
Dialogue: #e6e600

Image Junsoo smiled in amusement at Cat's response. It's true he often got away with things others may not be able to, but he wouldn't call it "worming" his way out of things as she put. Still, Jun knows the intention behind her statement, or at least he likes to think that he does. "Thanks Cat, you sure have a way with words!" he teases in the most lighthearted way possible before taking a quick survey of the room. Victory, or anyone else for that matter, don't seem to be anywhere within earshot. Jun takes into consideration Cat and Nika's suggestions, but he has a better one. One that doesn't involve getting the boss' permission.

"We could talk to the boss..." he says as if actually thinking about it, but has no intentions of doing so. "Or...we could just go right now!" He gets to his feet, immediately locking eyes with Bryant and giving him that innocent puppy look that's worked many times before. After all, he's the one that knows where the library is. If he doesn't agree to take Jun then there's no point in attempting to go. Of course he could go and try to find it on his own, but he's one-hundred and ten percent that not one of the three in the room with him would allow it. "We can leave the others the firewood and a note so they know we're okay and will be back soon." he adds cheerfully, switching his gaze over to Cat and Nika in an effort to get some form of agreement. Though they don't have to go, Junsoo would like it if they tagged along. Maybe even just one of them since they're most likely not too keen on being near one another.

ImageEven if Arabelle needed Valentina to act like a mother sometimes, that doesn't necessarily mean that she enjoys it. Quite the contrary. Arabelle hates being told what to do. The only reason she follows orders is because she's smart, and she knows what would happen if she didn't. Not because she's particularly a good, obedient seraph. In fact, it's probably quite the opposite. She sighed wearily as she watched Nathaniel and Valentina go their own ways before she did the same herself.

A hot shower does sound nice at a time like this. Arabelle isn't feeling the best, to say the least, especially after her new fixation slipped right through her fingers. Just another inch and she would have made that boy hers, marking him for life. She grunted in frustration as the thought of the brick slamming against her head came back to her. Such an amateur move. After she secures her new toy, she'll have to make sure to get a little taste of revenge.

The shower ended up taking longer than she anticipated, but the hot water against her cold skin felt too amazing to leave. Eventually though, she did finish up and get dressed in her usual simple yet classy attire. The chief is expecting them soon, for whatever reason he's managed to cook up this time, but Arabelle isn't the type to be early to things. They're all supposed to meet up in ten minutes, which means she has nine minutes to spare. After making herself comfortable on the lavish bed, she takes a book from the nightstand, opening it to where she last was. She can at least get a few pages in before having to go back to work.
