Josh frowned slightly at Len's face as he turned off his PSP, but said nothing for a moment. "The Master wants you to... how should I say this... Grow and be happier than you can be here." he said finally.
A few minutes later Len stopped pacing, and Josh smiled standing and patting Len's shoulder gently. "Wonderful!" he said. As Len moved towards the door, he smiled and nodded. "You do that, I'll...find us a ride...or something." he said, seeming confused with himself before nodding and smiling again.
He turned around and reached into his suit jacket, pulling out a cell phone. He flipped it open and pressed the speed-dial. "Hey, it's me, I need a ride.... No, don't bring the truck bring the car; we need to have a trunk to put things in....Okay, thanks. Bye." he hung up the phone with a small sigh and put it back into his suit jacket, turning around and sitting on the porch again.
After a while, Len came out with his suitcase, and Josh stood up, turning to face him. "Very well. Our ride should be arriving any second now." he said. As if on cue, a jet black car rolled up and stopped at the curb. Josh motioned for Len to follow him as he walked down the sidewalk.
He made another gesture and the trunk popped open while Josh opened the back door to the car. He walked up to Len and stopped him for a second. "Here, I'll take your suitcase. You go ahead and get in the car." he said. Not waiting for an answer he took the suitcase and went around behind the car, lifting up the suitcase and putting it in the trunk before closing it and getting into the back of the car with Len.
The exterior of the jet black car was stylish, aerodynamic, and shined in the sun. The interior was also stylish with leather seats, maple wood, and everything a luxury car should have.
"I don't mean to show off with this car, but it's apparently the first one that my friend picked from the garage that had a trunk." Josh said to Len as the car started to drive down the road again, heading towards the hills.
"My name is Josh, by the way. Just in case you had forgotten it from five days ago." he said. The car drove while Josh tried to describe the interior of his house to Len and briefly go over everything that Len could do/have again. As the car pulled up to the house Josh, opened the door and then made a hand gesture, the trunk popping open again.
After Len got out of the car, Josh closed the door and then lifted Len's suitcase from the trunk, closing it and then knocking twice on it, signaling the driver that they were clear to leave, which they did. "Well, here we are. Home sweet home." Josh said, putting an arm around Len's shoulder and guiding him to the front door. For a house in the hills, it wasn't very ornate looking. To be honest, it looked like an ordinary home, only it was twice the size of a normal home due to the second floor.
The fanciest thing about the exterior of the house was probably the gate and fence around it, and maybe the front door. The garden and lawn were well tended to, not allowed to grow too high or crazy, and not trimmed too short. The flowers weren't blooming yet, so they looked like green plants for now. Josh stopped at the front door and reached into his pocket, unlocking the door and opening it before guiding Len inside.
"Welcome to your new home, Len." he said as he put Len's suitcase down just inside and to the left of the door.
The floors were a dark hardwood with brilliant looking rugs. The walls, painted with dark and light colors, don't seem to clash at all, making everyone feel welcome, and comfortable. Paintings of various art styles and pictures of many different things hung on the walls so they weren't bare, as well as some posters of shows that Josh had been in. The furniture was large, comfortable, and adorned with equally comfortable pillows. The TV was huge, covering most of the wall. Below it were all sorts of Gaming consoles from many different eras, as well as an exceptional amount of games and movies. There was a DVD/VHS player as well to go with the movies. The kitchen was huge, with at least two fridges filled with all sorts of food and drinks. The cupboards were filled with food, pots, pans, utensils, plates, bowls, trays, spices, sugars, everything. The bedrooms were all large, quiet, had their own bathrooms, closets, dressers, everything.
Then there was one room that had no windows, no carpet, and no furniture. There was nothing except a book stand with a closed music book, and a violin case that lay open, revealing a violin and bow. The room was eerily silent, as the walls were sound proofed, and well insulated, keeping the room at a cozy temperature. It looked...sad, seeing it so empty. Josh said nothing about it other than "And this is where I practice with my violin."
After moving back to the front of the house, Josh stopped and turned to Len again. "Well, this house is as much as it is yours as much as it is mine. What room would you like?" he asked. "You can sleep where ever you want; A bedroom, the couch, the kitchen, any one of the sitting rooms..." he paused to take in a breath before speaking again. "You can sleep alone or..." he blushed slightly. "You can sleep in my room with me." he said. He cleared his throat and gestured to Len's suitcase. "You can go ahead and choose now, or you can wait." he said while walking towards the stairs.
"Now, if you'll excuse me for a moment, I simply must get out of this suit." he said then he turned and walked up the stairs.
