Wing City Hospital

0 INK

Our aim is to provide a tailored and comprehensive medical care of an award winning standard free of charge to everyone within the Multiverse.

2,664 readers have visited Wing City Hospital since AugmentationAudit created it.

Introduction

This RolePlay is open for any character in need of medical attention, regardless of the timeline of RolePlay that they originate from. Any writer wishing to submit a patient need only write them in, and they will be seen to by medical staff provided, treated, and then discharged back to their original setting. Any player is welcome to use an NPC transport to get their character to the hospital, which is designed to be a registered part of the Multiverse.

Those wishing to supply staff are more than welcome to apply, and their character will be assessed and then accepted if they meet the standard this work requires. If they are declined, the failed application will be returned with advice on how to improve so that the next admission is more successful. This RolePlay is run by a mentor, and as such any difficulties encountered by players will be met with constructive criticism and advice.

For more information, the local news will be following the development of the hospital in its feeds.

Toggle Rules

Rules for IC staff:
  • All staff have to officially submit a character sheet for approval; this will count as the interview period for the character in question.
  • All staff need to be literate to an acceptable standard.
  • All staff need to remain true to their work bracket; eg: a nurse is not qualified to undertake neurosurgery, and a doctor is unlikely to be found cleaning bedpans.
  • All staff need to act with a level of professionalism.
  • All staff will need to offer detailed explanation of what they are doing in narrative; eg: "Doctor A healed patient B" will need to be extended into something more descriptive.

Rules for IC Patients:
  • Any patient is free to be admitted to the hospital at any time, so long as an opening post is submitted. This post will need to describe who the patient is, their condition, and how they got to the hospital. Patients are free to use the NPC medical transport, and all emergency patients should enter via the A&E department.
  • Patients need to have accurately described illnesses/injuries, so that the authors of the staff can treat them to the best of their ability.
  • If there are any limitations when it comes to patient care, for example a patient that is immune to magical healing, then this should be stated in the narrative so that the medical staff can work around it.
  • Patients with illnesses and injuries that occur in real life should be written with some research backing their condition, for the sake of realism. If you are encountering difficulty here, AugmentationAudit will be more than willing to assist you.
  • Authors of patients should keep in mind that their character is there to be healed, so resisting every form of treatment as inviable will make it difficult for the authors of the medical staff to do their jobs.

Rules for IC Visitors:
  1. Visitors are welcome in this RP, and need not submit any character identification before arriving to visit a patient.
  2. Visitors should write themselves in to visit a patient when that patient is available; a visitor that arrives to see a patient whilst that patient is in surgery will be asked to wait until that patient is free.
  3. Visitors are obliged to leave when asked to by a member of hospital staff.

There was nothing quite as eerie as an empty building, especially one so new and shiny as the one in which Ira found himself, walking through spotlessly clean hallways, the shadow of his reflection shimmering hazily at his feet. It wasn’t so empty, of course; there were other members of staff present, just beginning to arrive. Ira glanced at his watch; half past six in the morning, just about time for the ‘earlies’ to start shuffling in, bleary eyed and looking for coffee. He smiled; on any other day, the place would be coming alive with the first bustle of activity, tired night staff chivvying themselves into one final hour of action, waking and cleaning and turning on the lights before the glorious seven o’clock handover began and their freedom was in sight.

But not today; today there were no night staff, no porters stomping through the corridors, no harried members of clinical site rushing this way and that. This hospital was new, just being born, and for all he knew Ira might be the only one there; the first, maybe, but surely the first of many. He shook the thoughts away, following the directions he had been given a day previously and locating the surprisingly well furnished staff room; scanning himself in with his ID. There was coffee peculating merrily on the side, tempting him inwards with its rich, bitter scent.

“Feel free to have a cup; it’s the good stuff,” an amused voice stated, causing Ira to tense in shock; he had assumed that he was alone in the room, which made his reverent stare at the coffee pot all the more embarrassing. It was easy to see, now that he was paying attention, that the room wasn’t quite as abandoned as he had first assumed.

A man, dressed in the typical garb of a paramedic, ID (WILLIAM JENKINS-WEAVER) pinned to his belt, booted feet on the table, was grinning far too amusedly up at him. Ira would have scowled, had it not been for the offer of coffee. The man, William, seemed all too carelessly pleased with what he saw (Ira; tired, ginger and lacking in coffee); clearly he was one of those –Ira almost shuddered–Morning People.

Ira grunted in reply (it was still pre-coffee), poured himself a cup (black, no sugar) and drank deeply despite the heat. The man had been right; it was damn good coffee.

“Told you so.” Apparently this William was a mind reader... or able to hear Ira’s blissful sigh of delight upon finding something other than pigs’ swill in the staff room coffee pot, either way, Ira shot him a questioning look and got a good-natured grin in reply. “Don’t question the awesome that is the coffee here,” William supplied in way of explanation, though Ira had to admit (if only to himself) that it didn’t really explain anything at all.

“Uh, yeah.” What else was there to say? Ira shook his head, and found his lips quirking upwards; the man’s grin was infectious. “I’m Ira, and apparently I’m covering general med and neuro while this place gets off of the ground.” He offered his hand, and was pleased to receive a firm shake in return.

“Nice to meet you, buddy. Name’s Bill, paramedic.”

He wasn't a morning person, and wasn't certain why they wanted him here. Other than the fact that most vampires wouldn't come to a hospital for healing, which stuck him on general magical healing. But he was awake, and stepping sharply through the halls. Awake, aware, and annoyed. Not that this was too different from normal, but he'd be nice about it all.

The mage stepped firmly into the staff room, dressed smartly in a light blue button up and khaki slacks. His black-brown longish hair was pulled back as he was working now and he had a name tag clipped to his shirt. Without a word he headed to the coffee machine and fixed himself a cup, sweet and blonde, just how he liked it. It took a moment to actually register the two other mean in this oh so new building.

When he did, he managed a smile. "I'm Rahal. Magical and vampire healing. And this is way too early for me to be up." Though he'd at least have something to do now, while his stupid apprentice attended high school. Maybe it'd keep the good doctor out of trouble?

Who was he kidding. Nothing kept Rahal out of trouble, not even his own hard attempts at staying nice and safe. Oh well. At least he could help people here while in trouble."

The arrival of a stranger (hardly the best definition seeing as Ira and Bill knew nothing but each other’s names and job titles) curtailed further conversation, and both men looked up at the new arrival. Ira found himself looking the man up and down; nothing remarkable there, nametag in place; probably not lying about who he was then. It was always good to check in when someone wasn’t in uniform as sometimes the ID was the only visible difference between doctor and patient.

This particular man didn’t seem to be the friendliest specimen, but given the time of the morning and the recent introduction of coffee, it was possible that he was just feeling as tired and grumpy as Ira himself was. With that in mind, he extended a hand to Rahal in greeting. “Nice to meet you; I’m Ira, medical doctor, specialised in neuro-surgery a while ago. I’ve also got a qualification in future-tec. I assume that we’ll all be covering a few bases while the recruitment drive is still under way, but given how new this all is and how many patients there aren’t at the moment, I think we’ll all manage.”

“Well said, mate.” Bill seemed inclined to have his say as well, Ira noted, though the man had yet to move from his comfortable position. He was grinning though, wide and easy in a way that Ira envied; he always felt rather on edge around new people (who were not patients or children). This man, Bill, however, seemed to be taking it all in his warm and easy stride. “Name’s Bill, I’m on Paramedic, but I’ve got a fair bit of doctoring under my belt. Don’t think I’ll be covering any of your asses in action, but you never know, right? Maybe I’ll drop in and show you civvies how it’s done if I get bored waiting for someone to cut their finger in Gambit’s.” He winked.

Ira found himself chucking, reminded of a very different (and yet comfortingly similar) doctor that he had worked hand in hand with for a very long time before they had been forced to go their separate ways. “Is that so?” he said, eyebrows raised, looking at Rahal in the hopes of bringing him into a conspiratorial sort of camaraderie (maybe that was Bill’s intention, Ira couldn’t be sure). “I’ll be sure to remind you of that when you come to one of the nurses having cut your finger.” He was rather pleased with himself when Bill sniggered into his fist.

Rahal shook Ira's hand and smiled at him. "I've down some skull surgery on a vampire. Only once. He had an odd growth on the inside fo his skull. On the frontal plate, and the kid was stuck at ten. But no neurosurgery." Thank Ra. That would have been a bit too much. More than a bit too much. "Mind you. Vampire medicine is a bit different than most. Not near as hard or dangerous as neurosurgery by far."

"Nice to meet you too Bill. Though I'm with Ira. You're next cut finger and we'll be reminding you for weeks." He grinned slightly, the coffee he was steadily drinking working well. "Though no calling me a civvie. I'm a trained battle mage, thank you very much."

It was a bit of an odd combination but he enjoyed it for sure. The mage yawned into his hand and finished off his coffee. "I hope someone shows up. It's be pretty disappointing if not one bothered too. Though you'll be happy to know what happened to the last city hospital won't happen here. That's the vampire I healed."

The last hospital had suffered a massacre. Every single doctor in the hospital, killed at the wrath of an upset fledgling deep in blood lust, and insanity. It wouldn't happen again, thank Ra. It wouldn't be allowed to.

Oddly, his name tag read 'D. Rahal' rather than Rahal with a last name. What the D stood for, he'd let them guess. It wasn't the type of name suitable for a hospital, and they'd never guess it anyway.

The journey in the ambulance passed unknown to Embre. The student was unconscious, and oblivious to the world around her. She was intermittently aware of talking, of people communicating in controlled but urgent tones, of Lan sitting nearby and clinging to her hand. She had been totally unconscious until they were halfway - the last thing she remembered was lying on the ground and telling some elf woman to go and help Lan... she wondered what had happened to the woman who had attacked them? Racist bitch.

Blackness.

Lights and panels were passing overhead, she was on a stretcher. Something with wheels. Where was she? Embre blinked slowly in confusion at a number of figures running alongside her. They were exchanging jargon... medical jargon, if she was right. "Huh..?" she managed to groan, before one of the figures noticed her conscious.

A mask was placed over her face, and blackness took her once again.

The small feeling of camaraderie (that Ira was more than willing to attribute to Bill’s attitude) was comforting, given that even Ira, self assured as he typically was when there was work to do, was feeling rather nervous in such a setting. A hospital without any patients, operating on only a skeleton staff as things got underway; it wasn’t anything like his previous positions, that much was certain, but somehow the challenge of making do enticed him.

“Well, how about I don’t call you a chivvy if you leave off about my finger when the time comes? NOT that I couldn’t stick a plaster on myself, thank you very much!” Bill was laughing, easy and relaxed and clearly enjoying the friendly banter, which went a long way towards improving Ira’s mood. This was a very new team, and as of yet Ira was unfamiliar with the chain of command (though he had heard that “the boss” would be arriving to speak to them all at some stage). It was that little bit more difficult to work in a team when nobody knew who held what rank, so to speak, but Ira was confident that they would make the best of it.

Shaking his head, Ira helped himself to another cup of coffee. “I’m sure you’re the proper infant really, William,” he chided. “Perhaps you faint at the sight of your own blood?” The second cut tasted almost better than the first, giving fuel to Ira’s good humour. “Perhaps Dr Rahal will be useful for you, given his talents with children?”

Bill’s snort was worth the risk taken in teasing the man, as was his overly dramatic pout. “Will you give me a lolly if I’m a good boy, Doc-” He was cut off by a sudden wailing claxon, the alarm on the wall flashing in a demand for the ambulance service, Bill’s radio crackling into life at his belt. “Oh buggering hell...” The man was on his feet in less than a second, slinging his cup at Rahal as he flew out of the door.

Ira, his insides turned to some strange mixture of ice and fire by the sound, set the cup very carefully down on the side before looking towards Rahal. “I think we should get to A&E, just in case.”

Despite having been open less than two hours, Wing City General was not only prepared but functioning, even if that involved a small number of devoted staff going over and above their typical jurisdiction for the duration of the Hospital’s first few days. The ambulance service, when summoned, arrived as promptly as they were able under the circumstances, and worked well with the Wing City Police Department in the resulting crisis.

Two Paramedics were present in the back of the ambulance with their patient, a third driving at speed with the lights and sirens blaring as the emergency vehicle pulled up outside Majors, the group racing out at speed to greet the waiting staff at the door; the hospital was devoid of patients save for this, the first, so there were plenty of staff on hand.

Already rushing the young woman towards the department proper, handover was a rapid recitation by Mecca, filling in the trauma staff on their patient and her current condition. The team split, one group heading towards surgery to make preparations for the work the young woman would surely need, the other ready to focus on getting her stable enough to operate on the damage.

Both IRA and RAHAL were paged at once, given the severity of the patient’s condition, the nurse in charge giving swift, concise orders as to how things would be managed. The patient was transferred into a bay in Majors, Gelofusine running in an attempt to combat hemorrhagic shock and a massive decrease in blood volume, and the team set to work at once. Primarily, the patient was intubated as monitoring from the ambulance was transferred onto the equipment in the A&E department, oxygen administered and blood taken from an already placed line then rushed through to pathology.

There was no halt in proceedings, even as the team were waiting for the paged doctors to arrive. A nurse was sent back in search of relatives or friends who may have followed their grievously injured friend.

Well this was it David's first real day in his new hospital and already he was making himself familiar with some of the nurses and low ranking staff as he introduced himself. When one looked at him it seemed he wore that white lab coat with such pride and dignity with his aging appearance that one would think that he was on the board of administrators or even one of the head Doctors. He wasn't of course but he had the experience and the years that if he sought the job it wouldn't take any time for him to get it. Though he did smell of cigarette smoke after coming from outside. A nasty habit he wish he could break.

At the time though he didn't seem to have any patients to take care of. Though he knew the hospital was new so he'll get there soon enough. The Head OB/GYN of the Hostile though found himself in the Majors watching as a girl was rushed in to emergence care and he would follow close by. He loved learning and helping out in any way he thought he could help. Who knows they might just find a need for his brand of medicine if something would have happened to the poor girls body. And if something did then David was the man to have around. He pulled his brown framed glasses from his coat pocket and carefully placed them on his head as he helped set things up for the girl's room.

'Dr Rahal' Just hearing that made him wince slightly. Healer was the more correct term, but he could get used to being call doctor. Then the alarm flashed, and Rahal was moving before Ira could even finish his sentence. Work. This was work in a hospital. Long slow times, followed but moments of quick paced action.

"Already?" Rahal said over his shoulder and moved to majors with all haste. Maybe he should just hang out in there for the time being. It'd certainly be faster. "Next time, let's just wait in the body of the hospital." He suggested as he raced to majors easily.

He was directed to pathology, and the healer quickly took stock of the situation at hand. A young woman unconscious on the table, needing surgery. He moved to stabilize her quickly. She had some sort of puncture wound, and Rahal winced darkly at the mess it caused.

He'd heal what he could, but when it came to internal organs, he didn't want to take a big chance, and would be asking the others to double check his work. Still, the mage placed a hand over the wound, his magic coming gathering in his hand as he concentrated, shutting out the others entirely It would take work, but Rahal had healed bad wounds before.

He worked on a molecular level in his magic, and could tell you all about how things were put together on that level. But now he pulled back, encouraging growth with his magic, growth of cells and of skin. As he poured his magic into the young woman, he concentrated. She'd need vitamins when he was done, and a good hearty meal after all this, but he would provide the energy, and accelerated the growth rapidly. Though he oddly left a small incision, it would not bleed, the blood being coaxed to not go there, rather to go around.

Healing was a transfer, and it took the energy out of Rahal directly. He'd need to eat too, though anything would do for him, so long as it was heavy in calories. He concentrated on blood vessels, now that there would be skin to protect them, knitting back together, growing where there were none, and the blood flow establishing itself correctly once more. Layer by layer he worked, rebuilding the damaged muscle, and working to ensure each individual muscle fiber was healthy and whole.

It wasn't easy, and the damage was pretty bad, but Rahal would manage. He had stopped the hemorrhaging. Rahal drew the blood out of the incision he had left earlier, using his free hand to draw it out by pinching his fingers together and pulling back, as if pulling string through a hole. He repeated this several times. The internal organs would have been gently healed as well, and the mage cleaned any spillage of fluids out, drawing it out through the incision as he drew the blood out and holding the biological fluids in the air, uncertain where to dispose of them. Once finished, he used the hand he had to pinch the fluids out of her to create them into a neater more compact ball and then proceeded in concentrated on the incision he had left behind. Careful he rebuilt the blood vessels, then the skin as he had before, cells by cell multiplying rapidly under his direction.

The new skin would be baby soft, and paler than the surrounding skin. It would be hairless, but the fine hairs that covered the human body would grow in later. And it would be raw to the touch, too sensitive for about a week. Rahal stepped back, glad his patient had been unconscious the entire time. He stumbled back slightly and was a touch paler. "She'll need a transfusion still, and lots of vitamins." He directed, hoping he hadn't silenced the room in his work. He was a powerful mage, and a well trained certified healer. But he knew it was odd to watch, and frightened some.

There were a multitude of expressions on the faces of the staff who had been working on the young woman when Rahal had arrived, now displaced to the edges of the room and staring at the man, and none of them were good. All of the staff wore scrubs, their badges alone naming them as nurses, one newly qualified doctor and a sister; nurse practitioner, and all of them looked decidedly unimpressed. For a long moment, even after Rahal had declared himself done (in a manner of speaking), there was silence. The nurses just stared, as did the doctor, as did the sister, but her eyes were hard. Slowly, every pair of eyes in the room found her, even those of the young doctor, and a wordless agreement seemed to pass between her and the gathered staff.

“If you’ll come with me please, doctor,” she said, in a voice as neutral as it was professional, before turning on her heel and heading towards the sister’s office. Her tone broached no arguments; if Rahal did not follow her as she had instructed, there would clearly be some dire consequence.

Once she had spoken, her team seemed to spring back to life, returning to check on their patient with a fervour that would normally be associated with cardiac arrest, rather than unexpected magical healing by a member of staff. They were quiet, though; sharp commands diminished to glances, gestures and whispers.

It was an unsettling situation, which was the first thing Ira noted upon arrival. He had moved quickly upon being paged to majors, but apparently not fast enough; he arrived in time to see the sister stalking away with a look on her face that shone like a lighthouse; warning. He stepped forwards despite the apparent danger, breaking the strange tension that was present in the room by asking for a handover on the current patient.

Apparently as a direct result, the volume in the room suddenly picked back up; the young doctor chattering rapidly through what had already been done so far and what had been handed over from the ambulance staff. When he came to the point of Rahal’s arrival, there were more furtive glances between staff members, glances towards the office door. Ira frowned.

Clearly, something had happened, and although the people he was gathering information from were being professional and reserved, he had an idea what had gone on. He sighed, putting it from his mind.

“Right, I’m still going to need those ABG’s, but I’m going to hazard a guess and say we need a new set now. We need accurate BP as of five minutes ago, we need that blood, and most importantly we need to know what the hell has been done; somebody get me a magically aware nurse in here.” He swept his eyes across the gathered team, finally locking onto DAVID as a mature, controlled looking figure.

“Doctor; can you please assist me here?” The man looked to be involved, even if he was keeping his distance, and at the moment they needed all of that hands that they could get.

If everything had gone back, if something just stopped him nothing would have happened. First it was blurred vision as Yutaka was separated from his motorcycle and thrown against the pavement, then black came at him all at once. In his haze he thought to himself what if he just slept in thirty more minuets or what if he took less time in the shower, would any of the moments flashing before him had happened? He asked these questions over and over again before he gained his vision, he remembered he was on his way to class and a run away delivery truck had collided with the side of his motorcycle. He slowly sat up as pain came at him from all over his body, he was leaned against the wall as he staggered to a sturdy stand. People around him starred for a while before some began to ask him if he needed help. He looked away from them and waved them away not wanting any. As he stood more into a sturdy position one pain irriated him the most his side. He reached up as his fingers grazed his side he flinched before they grazed something else, something cold and metalic. The first thought in his mind was the shrapnal that had hit him when his bike grazed over him when he was thrown from it. He was on his knees again as he tugged at the metal in his side as he wince shaking his head he let go of the metal as he was just leaned against the wall as his vision blurred again as he fought to stay awake.

Re: [OOC] Wing City Hospital

Character Profile: Drake Oneir (Pariah)
Applying for role of Ambulance Driver/EMT in Wing City General.
Previous work experience: Professional Test Pilot for VARIAtech. Emergency First Aid training.

Introduction

Name: Drake Oneir
Age: 26
Sex: Male
Original Universe: Multiverse

Appearance

Height: 5'08"
Weight: 156 lb. 07 lb.
Attractiveness: Drake used to be pretty attractive, but his history of unwilling mutilation has left him scarred on the right side of his face and with a synthetic right arm. It wouldn't be impossible for one to be drawn to him, but they'd have to be open-minded.

Physique: Drake is pretty short for his age, but to make up for this, he is sturdy and heavy set. He works out regularly and could be described as a pint-sized titan.

Complexion: Usually pretty blanched, with a slightly sickly look about him with sunken eyes. Drake is constantly under a lot of stress.
Hair: Brown and wavey, usually worn long and pulled back in a simple tail.
Eye colour: A gold tinted green.
Handedness: Left
Makeup: Sometimes uses cover up to hide his more distracting scars.
Glasses / Contacts: None
Scars / Deformities: The entire right side of his face is marred with pocks, slashes, and graft scars. His right arm is technically missing, and the stump of that shoulder is pretty wretched.
Tattoos / Piercings: None.

Personality

Intelligence level: Drake is extremely perceptive and a quick study, but is not thoroughly educated. This gives him a sharp wit and a natural tendency to deduce pretty obscure data. As far as book smarts go, though, he struggles slightly.

Mental condition: Stable. Drake has had a dour life, and he accepts it. His optimism is what keeps him sane.

Emotional condition: Melancholy and somewhat self deprecating. Drake is emotionally relatable to a lot of people since he can study their character so quickly, but keeps his own motivations to himself.

Introvert / Extrovert: Extrovert, for the most part. He has his days of reclusive behavior.

Philosophical / Emotional: Drake worships no god and follows only the most basic of survivalist mentality. One thing he does believe in adamantly, however, is that those lucky enough to have supernatural gifts in the multiverse shouldn't waste them on being an 'evil nuisance'.

Impulsive / Cautious: Largely impulsive, due largely in part to personal pride and overconfidence (usually based on an assumption that he's being 'cautious'). If a situation requires precision, however, he will fill it out to a T.

History

Date of birth: December 2, 3740
Place of birth: High Orbit Station, VARIAtech municipality #72
Ethnicity: White, Caucasian.
Language: Multiverse Common, Italian, Chinese, Japanese.
Religion: None
Relationship status: Single
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Lifestyle / Interests

Likes: Fine dining, high tech machines, talented individuals (specifically women), normal humans.
Dislikes: Vampires, Demons, complacency, ignorance.
Strengths: Empathetic, Diligent, Perceptive, Agile.
Weaknesses: Prideful, Refuses Help, Suspicious, Spurns advice.
Drugs / Alcohol / Smoking: Enjoys imported beer and most non-liquor alcoholic beverages.
Ambitions: To find a nice girl and get out of Wing City, flying among the stars.

Re: [OOC] Wing City Hospital

Ryde, good! He's in, list him with his title before his name and add him up in the characters section.

Currently, departments are as follows: Women's health. Vampiric health. Mind healing. General medicine. Ira will help you all get acquainted to the staff room; you are all free to post off-duty staff once I've made my first post. Staff can lurk around, discuss, and get themselves into order in the IC until the patients start coming.

I will also be introducing Horatio Castle, the 'boss' presently; he'll be dealing with issues such as confidentiality, professionalism, uniform, etc, once we're IC.

There will be a uniform set, but for the present smart dress, nothing below the elbows is the dress code for all staff.

Still open for any new staff members to apply, and patients are, as always, welcome to walk straight in.

The sun was once again setting on another Oklahoma country day. The Warm orange and red colors mixed with the darkening blue of the sky and the lush green grass over the Ranch. In the Distance you could hear a few horses playing around and crickets chirrping. David Parker stood outside on his porch watching the sun set like he always did and smoking a cigarette, knowing full well he shouldn’t be smoking.

David sighed, letting out smoke from his mouth, as the sun decended more. He had to think about the implications of moving away from his beloved Ranch home to a new City he just heard of. They needed Doctors and David thought this would be a perfect chance to get back into Medicine after his stroke.

People insisted that he just enjoy his retirement that he be happy that he gets to spend all his time with his horses now. That wasn’t enough for David though his love was medicine, his practice, being able to be part of God’s most wonderful design: the Miracle of Birth. For years he was delivering babies and made himself a local hero with the towns he practiced in. He was there for the good births and the bad. The Teen moms and the women who by a miracle were given a child. He was there when the babies were born with deformities and still the parents loved them. Though there was times he witnessed when children were left by unwanting parents or the child passed away sometimes with the mother.

There was the bad of the job but the overwhelming feeling of being able to see life itself being created was a true award. This is what David believed God designed him to do all his life and he wasn’t going to let a stroke stop him.

David Parker looked at that Cigarette he had been smoking for some time now and dropped it. With a soft stomp David snuffed out the flames in the cigarette and walked back into his house. It was his time again to do what he knew was his duty.

Re: [OOC] Wing City Hospital

I agree, totally, Tearen. I have one in the makings as we speak, to pick up patients and transport them. I have one multipurpose character, but feel free to make one also if it means getting patients from there to the hospital. ^^ The more of us working on this, the better; it will help get things underway.

Re: [OOC] Wing City Hospital

I'm thinking that, perhaps, an emergency response team dedicated solely to handle Gambit's Bar might be a good idea.

Re: [OOC] Wing City Hospital

I'm really glad to have this thing get off of the ground, so thank you to everyone who has applied so far. More medical staff are always welcome, so new players that are interested feel free to sign on here.

Now that we have some people going, I'd like to start splitting off into departments. So far, Magical Healing is a clear department, as is Mind Healing. Patients will be directed to a specific department so that we don't get confused about who is doing what.

I will also be putting up stuff about uniforms and procedure tomorrow, so long as I have the time.

"Well, you're the idiot who took on a saiyan. Stop picking fights with people a hundred times strogner than you. I ought to just make you lay in bed until you're better! But no, no, I'll be the kind healing master and not make you suffer. That long."

Though Torin would have no energy to fight for the next week, Rahal planned on working him that hard. The kid's staff work could use improvement. And he was more than ready for the next element. Maybe conjuring that would keep him distracted from fighting. Doubtful, but it was a hope.

"Next time, just shoot them with a plasma gun. That kills most things. And do yourself a favor. Do it from behind. Actually, next time, find another saiyan to fight the first. They're a bunch of overpowered, overbuilt, over-everything to do with fighting. Idiot."
