Personality: Steph is a strong woman, though she is also very maternal. Although she's preparing her young charges for war, she worries every minute what will happen when they go. She can be strict.

Background: Steph was a Doctor with a specialism in genetics, when she found the position. They offered her more money than she could imagine, and to do what she wanted. Of course she thought it was all test tubes and micro-organism cell manipulation. She would have even had a difficult time using animals, but when she found out that they were using children, she wept. That being said, she was now in a contract that she couldn't escape. She also gained a strong bond with one of their subjects.
8 years ago, Stephanie gave birth to a child that was still born. The doctors whisked it away. She was broken by the loss.
When she joined Fate, she learned where the children came from and had a scary thought. What if her own baby had not died, but had instead been bought and brought to a centre just like the one she worked in. What if her own child was there. She never knew if it was a boy or a girl. She couldn't leave now even if she wanted to.
