Michaline's ears almost flattened against her head as she heard her sisters' last comment.
Haven't you got duties to attend to?
She sighed. "Yes of course..." She turned and trotted off. She stopped, comming across something odd at the mouth of the cave. Snow. Melting snow. Sadi and Sari's scent was mixed with it. There was no other scent...none of ice wolf...but where had the snow come from? Michaline growled...and followed her pups' scents. When she reached the edge of their territory, the border of the ice lands, she could smell ice wolves...and Sadi's and Sari's scents continued on, into the snow. She considered going back to get Flame, but something, her instincts as a mother, said that she couldn't wait. Her pups had to be found. She raced off, straight into the heart of the Ice Wolves' territory. She got more and more mad the closer she got to the pack. Suddenly, a male ice wolf intercepted her.

"What are you doing here, fire wolf?" toshiro growled, his hair bristling.

Michaline came to a halt, bristling right back. "I've come for my pups! Why did you're pack take them? Hostages? Have you really sunk that low, Ice wolf?!" The snow began to melt all around her, fire rolling up her fur.

Toshiro faltered. He hadn't heard of any sort of thing...no Ice wolf would dare...especially not pups..."I believe you are mistaken...we would never-"

"Liar!" Michaline roared. "There was snow all around their scent at my cave, and I've followed their scents here! How do you explain that, wolf? Was it you who took them? Where are thye?!" Michaline became blind with rage, her fur ablaze. She pounced, and she and Toshiro began to tear at each other.

"Uh...okay..." Sadi wasn't sure what to make of the ice...her brother seemed to be getting the hang of standing on it, but she couldn't do anything...except slide around. Sari laughed. "Not so easy, huh?"

Eira laughed, "Hey practice makes perfect." she said winking. "When you walk in ice, make sure you dont slide your paws. just lift them as you walk." she explained as she walked on the ice proudly. Eira looked at Sari, "You told me you guys didnt have a hangout place like this. Why dont look for one? Wandering around your territory helps. Trust me, but you'll come across something. When you find somewhere safe invite me."

Amak sniffed, smelling a fire wolf. He couldnt help but growl, why were they here? He ran towards the smell, finding Toshiro defending their land. He snarled loudly. He couldnt stand it when someone attacked his pack.

Egan had gone for a drink, and ended up spotting Michaline. He tilted his head wondering what she was doing. It seemed like she was searching for some. Although it was probably wrong, he followed her quietly, and hesitated when she went into the ice pack's territory. Worried, he ran in after her, only to see her fighting with an ice wolf. He growled, and was ready to attack, but saw Amak.

Amak ran at Michaline, but was tackled down himself by Egan. The fire wolf growled at him before looking at Michaline, "I'm sorry.. I broke the rules, but I saw you and I was worried." he said quickly explaining why he was here. At that time, Amak got up, snapping at his throat.

"She's going to come over to us? No...No Sari! If dad catches her....she can't it's too dangerous!" Sadi yelped, scared.
"Come on, Sadi! You worry too much, she won't get caught." Sari grinned, sliding across the ice with ease.

Michaline barely acknowleged Egan, but she was thankful. She slowly backed down, trying to calm herself. If she kept losing her cool, she would get nowhere.

"I'm only going to ask one more time. Where are Sadi and Sari?"

Toshiro didn't know what to say. "I don't know...I know nothing of your pups' whereabouts. Please...I have no reason to fight you. I have no wish to see any more bloodshed. I will help you find your pups."

"Yeah really Sadi, dont worry so much. I'll make sure I dont get caught. Trust me, I'm smarter than you think, and pretty sneaky. Besides, your father wont kill a pup.. will he?" she asked tilting her head. That would be a bit of a problem. Eira scratched the back of her ears and smiled.

Amak growled low. "How are we supposed to know where your pups are." he snapped.

Egan snarled, "Watch your manners. To you she might seem like just a wolf from the fire pack, but to us, she's our alpha. Show some respect." he warned.

Amak snorted, "I dont see why I have to."

Breezelynn watched as Michaline walked away, her ears flattening sadly. She treasured the rare moments she was able to speak with her sister, those moments never lasted more than a few seconds.....Sighing loudly, Breezelynn retreated to her makeshift den under the boulder, sneezing as sand shot up her nose. "Blasted sand..." she growled, rolling her eyes as she curled up into a ball. "Sometimes I just hate it."

Celian

Celian led Shadow and Desna into her small den. There she ushered them inside with a gesturing nod to the left of her head and turned back to them. "So" she said smiling bitterly. "where do we begin?".
She paused and watched the two wolves squirm as she glared down onto them. "How about lets start with why, when you are both meant to be on duty defending our pack, you are off on your own little fantasy!".

"There are tracks, from our hidden clove, to the fire packs land. Now not only does this give them a direct path to where we are most vulnerable, but shows that we are watching". She paused turning to the head of the den to give an adolescant pup who was watching the, 'get out, or else look'.

" We are trying to deal with the hostile situation with the fire pack bastards as peacefully as possible, we are trying, to hold back this inevitable war and bloodshed, but then fools like you, go, and start trouble between our two packs". "Are you both insane? going off without telling anyone", her tone changed from menacing to concerned in an instant. "you both could have been captured or killed, did you think that you could take on the whole fire pack".

Celian turned to desna. "Desna this isnt like you, why would you do something so foolish". She paused again.
"Both of you tell me your stories, and then i will decide if punishment is required".

Ekimo sat in his small, poorly made den at the end of the string of dens of the fire pack. His den was quite distanced from the others, but he preferred it that way, here he could be alone, there would be no nasty voices calling him names, or teasing him about his big purple eyes. Here the 'quality' of his blood wouldn't be questioned, here the elder wolves would not look down on him shamefully, the bastard, of a member from the fire pack and a member from the ice pack, constantly told he was a burden for the fire pack. Never accepted and always pushed to the side and ignored, at least in his small den of sticks and grass could he be finally given the peace he needed.

Though he would be killed if he spoke his true thoughts Ekimo longed to join the ice pack, perhaps they would accept him, perhaps he could find his mother. Perhaps there was someone there who would listen to him. But of course he did not know the way, and he slept, dreaming of the icepack, the mysterious wolves in the snow.

Ekimo awoke, the burning hot sun moving through the gaps in his small den. He came to the area of the main dens, and listened in to the other conversations. He froze as he saw a ice pack wolf, talking to michaline. Apparently sari and sadi had disappeared, and with them a cub from the ice pack. This was perhaps his chance. Ekimo was no tracker, but he knew the smell of the other cubs well and thought perhaps he could lead the others to the right direction.

"um, excuse me," he said to the wolves gathered round, including Michaline. "i might be able to help!"

((Hey, Light, Michaline and the ice wolves are in ice wolves territory XD))

"Ekimo..." Michaline almost scowled down at the pup. She sighed, and after glancing at the ice wolves. "Can you take me to Sadi and Sari?"

Toshiro watched. It was Celian's pup. Perhaps he could take him to Eira as well. If he thought right, he figured that all three pups were together. After all, them with Ekimo made the only pups in both packs. The twins, and his daughter, probably got bored...it made sense that they would find each other, just to play.

Sari and Sadi both were running around on the ice, Sari fareing better than his sister. "No, Dad wouldn't dare...not a pup."

"Good then. I'll just look innocent." Eira said with a small laugh. She ran, and dropped into the stomach, sliding on her belly. She laughed at herself before getting up and shaking her fur.

Desna sighed, "I know.. but I caught Shadow's scent going into the fire pack's territory. I just went in to get him out. But of course, he ran into a fire wolf. We talked, and got out without having anyone harmed." he explained. "I'm sorry."

Amak eyed the fire wolves before looking at Toshiro. "Well? Any idea where these pups are?"

Egan sniffed. These pups were pretty good at hiding, that's for sure.

Michaline growled, sniffing. "Well, Ekimo?" She asked harshly.

Ekimo


Ekimo flinched from michaline's harsh response. "um, well, i think i heard sadi and sari this mtalking about a pup from the ice pack, so i followed them and they went off down towards the snow with another pup, i guess thats the other one" he put his little head down as he continued. "i was going to follow them more of course, but the ice pack area is out of bounds, and of course, im not allowed to mix with the 'proper fire cubs'. he said the last part harshly directing it at michaline.

"but of course" he said quietly, " i can help you find them for sure" he said suddenly excited with the attention he was getting for the first time. He playfully bounded down towards the snow fields and began to sniff around, and he smelt it, the sweet smell of sadi and the unmistakable smell of sari, and then a new scent that he had never smelt before, 'it must be the ice cubs' he thought. Excited with his new discover he called the others to follow him and ran down into the snow covered woods.


Celian
I know.. but I caught Shadow's scent going into the fire pack's territory. I just went in to get him out. But of course, he ran into a fire wolf. We talked, and got out without having anyone harmed." he explained. "I'm sorry."

Celian sighed, she knew desna wouldn't be the one to do something so foolish. " i see desna, thankyou, however intentional or not you still entered the fire pack territory and i must give you some punishment" she said sadly. "As for you shadow, your in a hell load of trouble, your lucky desna was there to get you out". Celian stopped for a moment and thought of what punishment she should give to the others, when she heard the commotion outside the den. She quickly went outside, shadow and desna following her.

A couple of wolves, fire and ice pack born were following a jet black cub deeper into the woods. "ah," she thought allowed. "Desna, your punishment is to guard the eastern area of our territory, whilst everyone is off, doing the heavens knows what". She turned to shadow and looked at him coldly, her eyes bearing down on him. "Shadow your patrol and duty time as been doubled, any fuss or disagreement and it will be tripled, also go to the western area of our territory and patrol their till morning, if you find anything interesting, be sure to tell me will you?" she smiled wickedly and walked back to the dens.

'So, Ekimo has finally begun to grow up' she thought smiling to herself. 'Soon, it will be soon' she thought. 'Patience, is our greatest weapon now'.

and of course, im not allowed to mix with the 'proper fire cubs'.

Michaline actualy flinched at what Ekimo said. But, in the end, she sighed and followed him, Toshiro right behind her. She was slightly uncomfortable with an Ice wolf following directly behind her, but she didn't say anything.

((Uh, light...we kind of need you to post again. You can get in with the other cubs...))

Egan followed, just in case the ice wolf was planning something.
Amak sighed and followed as well.

Desna nodded, "Understood." he said before running towards the east. He sniffed around, but didnt smell anything unusally, at least not yet.

Eira sniffed. Even though she was a pup, she had a high sense of smelling. She can smell the others coming, but it didnt matter. They wouldnt find them anyways.. even if they did, they wouldnt be able to get to the pond. The adults were just too big.

((Um...anyone up for just one of the adults looking in the little cave thingy and finding the cubs? Making them come out? idk what else to do. I don't want to see this rp die and it's just at a standstill now...))

OOC: Crap my comp died just before i went away for a week, i am enjoying this roleplay and i give my sincere apologies to all those involved, so, in an attempt to revive it... here goes nothing)

EKIMO

Ekimo halted at a small gap leading towards where the cubs scent lay. The scent track flowed through the small gap and through to the other side, they were close. Ekimo jumped in without realising that the adults could not follow. After running happily for a few meters, he realised, and turned back to the gap and stuck his head out so that he could see and talk to the adult wolves that he had been leading.

"um.. the others are inside here a bit further down.." he said shyly infront of his elders. "i'll be able to catch up to them, and i'll try my best to convince them to come out". Without allowing the other wolves to reply he rolled back inside the gap and made his way towards the other cubs.

After 5 minutes of following the scents, he came up to a tangled opening, before him lay a large frozen lake. In the distance he could see 3 small figures sliding around and playing on the ice. Full of excitement Ekimo forgot that he couldn't actually move on the ice. Foolishly he leapt onto the ice and then slipped landing on his stomach and sliding at a rapid speed towards the others. He knocked into Eira with a thud, knocking the other cub to the ground.

With a yelp Ekimo stood up quickly and then slipped over again and attempted to speak to the others. "Ah.. Im really sorry.. im just no good on the slippery stuff" has he had never come into contact with ice before. "I've come here , to tell you that your family is looking for you and is very worried, will you come out with me?"

"Ekimo?" Sari said, watching as he slid around.

"See! I told you we'd get caught...oh I bet mom's so mad she's on fire." Sadi no longer waited on her brother. Instead she bolted for the exit.

"Sadi! Wait!" Sari looked back at Eira, his ears drooping. "Sorry, Eira...I have to go." He started to follow his sister, and then ran back, running up and pressing his nose against Eira's cheek. He wagged his tail, saying, "I'll come back soon, after I find a place on my territory, and take you to see it. Bye Eira." With that, he ran off, following Sadi. "Come on, Ekimo!"

By the time that Sari caught up with his sister, Sadi was cringing behind her mothers' legs. At first he though it was because their mother had scolded her, but then he realized it was because of the Ice Wolves. With his tail between his legs, Sari walked over to his mother. "Hey, Mom..."

Michaline sighed, nudging her son. "Come...I"ll deal with you later." She then looked up at Toshiro. "I thank you, Warrior, and apologize for my earlier behavior. I was out of line. Egan, let's go home."

Toshiro nodded as Michaline apologized, and then laid down near the entrance, waiting on his daughter. He thought about Ekimo...his only living relative was Celian, his mother. He wasn't sure if Ekimo knew that she was alive, but the cub should be with his kiind. The Ice Wolves. they had chased him out not long after he was born, and forgiven his mother. Toshiro began to think about taking him in. At least then, he would at least have some sort of family.

Ekimo

Ekimo came out of the gap with a beam from year to ear. For the first time he had acomplished something worthwhile and would perhaps finally get the joy of acknowledgement that he craved. He watched as the fire pups and their mother Michaline and Egan. Ekimo left Toshiro at the entrance of the gap to collect his pup and followed the rest of the fire wolves back towards the fire territory. For the first time in a long time he felt like he belonged.

Celian

Celian watched the fire wolves part from the ice pack's territory. She looked down upon Ekimo, a small smile upon her face. 'He really is growing up isnt he?' she thought to herself warmly and then turned and gave Toshiro a high howl signalling him to return to the pack. With that she turned and moved back towards the pack.

Celian sat above the pack on the ice frozen moss covered rock that towered above the dens. As Delta and acting Alpha in the Alpha's abscence Celian was put temporarily in charge of the pack. She howled loudly to the sky. The howl echoed around the ice pack territory calling the ice pack to come, it was time to discuss the fire pack.

Egan nodded, glad the pups were safe, and followed back to their territory.

Eira wagged her tail as well as he pressed his nose against her cheeks, and watched him leave. With a smile, he headed out, and saw her father. She smiled innocently. "Hey dad." she said with a nervous laugh. Her little puppy ears perked when she heard Celian, "Oh, the delta is calling. Lets go." she said so she wouldnt hear him nag.

Michaline sighed as she laid down at themouth of the cave, after banishing Sari and Sadi inside. She couldn't deal with thme at the moment, she was too angry. She wanted to consult with Flame first.

Toshiro sighed, adn said to Eira lowly as they walked over, "Don't think you've escaped talking about this that easily, Eira. We shall talk about this tonight."

"Oh come on dad... they're my friends." she said smiling nervously. She frowned, not liking the idea of his "talk" later today. She sighed, "Okay.." she mumbled. Eira was glad she was back to where the rest of the pack were. The other pups gave her a funny look, smelling an odd scent from her.
"What you looking at." she snapped. She hated when they looked at her like that. She growled low before sighing. Slowly, she walked into the den, finding Cyan. "Hey hey, play with me." she barked tugging on his ears.

Cyan smiled, but noticed the fire wolf's scent. "Eira, you were with the fire wolves?" he asked as she tugged on his ear.
"Oh not you too. Come on, they're now my friends. We are all wolves you know." she mumbled.
"I know.. but in this case, it different. You shouldnt be playing with them. It's like tigers and lions. They're both big cats, but still different. You know what I mean?" he tried to explain.
Eira rolled her eyes, "Of course.."

Breezelynn crawled awkwardly out from her makeshift den, sneezing out the last of the sand in her nose. Slightly lonely she trotted over to her sister, wearing a curious expression. "Michaline?" she asked, taking a few cautious steps forward, limping, of course. "Sister?"

Michaline lifted her head up at Bree's aproach. "Breezlynn? What is it..." Her eyes looked tired.

Toshiro smiled a half smile as Eira complained. She got that from him...he had always been a troublemaker when he was a cub as well. Oh well. There wasn't much he could do about it now anyways.
